At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over San Antonio.  OKC dropped Game 1 at home to the Spurs, and finds itself with its back against the wall for this Game 2.  The Thunder actually had a higher quality of shots than did the Spurs in Game 1, but just missed a lot of wide open looks.  I expect that to change in tonight's game.  The Thunder are 44-22 ATS at home off a point spread defeat when playing with double-revenge.  And they're 31-9 ATS vs. .611 (or better) foes if they're off a SU loss, and their opponent is off a SU win.  OKC is 10-3 ATS its last 13 in the Playoffs off a SU loss, while the Spurs are 3-8 ATS this season off an upset win (and 3-20 ATS off an upset win their last 23 when priced from +7.5 to -1.5 points).  Take the Thunder.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. 

At 8 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks minus the points over Cleveland.  These two teams met three times in the regular season.  New York won the first two games, which were both at Madison Square Garden.  Then, in February, Cleveland won at home by 15 points.  The Knicks are playing their best basketball of the season, and swept the 76ers, which afforded them 7 more days of rest than the Cavaliers.  Even better, the Cavaliers' upset win over the #1-seeded Pistons afforded the Knicks home court advantage, so the rested Knicks didn't have to travel yesterday.  We'll fade Cleveland, as teams off a double-digit Game 7 win have cashed just 40.3% over the last 36 seasons.  And the Knicks are 43-23 ATS as a revenge-minded, single-digit favorite.  Finally, the Knicks fall into 40-11 and 12-0 ATS playoff systems of mine.  Lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New York Yankees -1.5 runs over the Toronto Blue Jays.  The Yanks were surprised a bit over the weekend by the Mets who took two of three from their Bronx neighbors.  Now the Yanks return home to face a more familiar foe in the Blue Jays.  To say the follow-up to Toronto's World Series act in 2025 has been disappointing would be an understatement.  But 21-25 isn't a complete disaster and there's still time for the Jays to turn things around.  LHP Ryan Weathers (2-2 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP) will go for the Yanks in his ninth start of the season while the rejuvenated LHP Patrick Corbin (1-1 with a 3.93 ERA) will go for the visiting Jays.  The Yanks have burned money on the moneyline this season but on the run-line they are 26-21 and +8.2 net games, including 6-1 (+6.3 net games) their last seven at home.  Meanwhile, Corbin's teams are 90-94 and -23.8 net games on the run-line over his career and as an underdog his teams are -29.7 net games on the run-line.  Take New York -1.5 runs.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Dodgers minus 1.5 runs over the San Francisco Giants.  We all know about Shohei Ohtani's incredible exploits as a Major League hitter.  After all, the 31-year-old already has four MVP trophies as an offensive player (three in a row).  But 2026 could be the season we also discover that Ohtani is one of the greatest pitchers of his generation.  Ohtani was last a full-time starter in 2022 when he had 28 starts for the Angels and finished fourth in the AL Cy Young award.  He's on pace for a 30-start campaign this season and just might be able to get his first Cy Young hardware if he continues on his current trajectory.  In six starts covering 37 innings, Ohtani has a 0.97 ERA and 0.81 WHIP, with 42 strikeouts and nine walks.  Start number seven will come tonight against the hapless Giants who have really struggled all season.  In four career starts vs. San Francisco, Ohtani has a 1-0 record with a 0.43 ERA with 25 strikeouts and six walks in 21 innings.  Take the Dodgers minus 1.5 runs.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New York Yankees -1.5 runs (+115) over the Los Angeles Angels.  After a red-hot start to the season (7-1 in their first eight games) the Yankees haven't just cooled off, but it's more like they're in the deep freeze.  New York has lost six of its last seven games, including the five-game losing streak it is currently on as it returns home to face the somewhat surprising Angels, who are 8-8.  The fault for the Yankees mostly lies not with their pitching, but with their hitting.  The Yankees rotation in particular has been solid.  And in fact despite its recent struggles, New York still has the top starting pitching in the Majors (2.67 ERA in 15 starts).  But on the flip side, the Yanks are only batting .202 -- the third-worst team average in the league.  One of the pleasant surprises for New York will take the mound tonight as 26-year-old RH Will Warren gets his fourth start of the season.  Warren is currently 1-0 with a 3.07 ERA with 14 strikeouts and five walks in 14 2/3 innings.  The Yankees have won three of Warren's last four starts going back to September of last season.  Take New York -1.5 runs, at an underdog price.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Lakers minus the points over the Utah Jazz.  Since the All-Star Break, the Jazz have gone 4-21 SU and 10-15 ATS.  And three of their four wins were against other tanking teams (Grizzlies, Bucks, Wizards).  One of those "accidental" wins was on Friday, when they routed the Grizzlies, 147-101.  Memphis was on a 6-game losing streak, while the Jazz had lost their previous 10, so it was one of those games where one team was forced to win (even though it preferred to lose).  We'll lay the points tonight with the Lakers, as underdogs of 6 (or more) points have cashed just 29.2% the last 25 seasons off wins by more than 35 points.  Take Los Angeles.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Portland Trail Blazers minus the points over Sacramento.  After defeated the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, all Portland has to do to nab the #8 seed is defeat the lowly Kings.  Sacramento is a woeful 3-13 SU and 4-12 ATS on the road in the season finale, including 0-5 SU/ATS when catching double-digits.  And Portland is 35-6 SU and 26-14-1 ATS at home when laying more than 5 points.  Take the Trail Blazers.

At 7:20 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Braves -1.5 runs over the Cleveland Guardians.  Chris Sale won the NL Cy Young award two seasons ago when most thought he was well on the downward side of his career.  Now after a 2025 campaign that saw injuries limit the veteran southpaw to just 21 games (20 starts), Sale is back healthy again for another run in 2026 at the age of 37.  He's off to a solid if not spectacular start with a 2-1 record, 3.94 ERA, and 0.88 WHIP in three starts covering 16 innings (with 16 strikeouts and five walks).  Start number four will come tonight against a Cleveland team that Sale is very familiar with from his early years in the American League with the White Sox.  One thing's for sure, Sale loves pitching at his new home ballpark as in 26 games here at SunTrust Park (25 starts), Sale is 15-2 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 191 strikeouts and 33 walks in just under 159 innings.  Despite the shutout loss on Saturday, the Braves are 7-2 in the last nine meetings with the Guardians.  Take Atlanta -1.5 runs.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 6:10 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers minus the points over the Milwaukee Bucks.  The Sixers currently are in the #8 slot in the Eastern conference, and can rise as high as #6 if fortune shines on them today.  Milwaukee, meanwhile, will be going fishing after this game after a season filled with turmoil.  The Bucks have covered just six of their last 20 road games, including a 137-111 blowout loss at Detroit on Wednesday.  The 76ers have quietly gone 15-1 SU and 11-5 ATS their last 16 games when favored by more than 3 points.  Lay it.

At 10:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers + the points over San Antonio.  The Spurs got by Golden State, 127-113, last night for their 26th win in their last 28 games (and 26th win in the 27 games that Victor Wembanyama has played).  Certainly, not many teams have been competitive with the Spurs in this stretch.  But one team which has given the Spurs all they can handle is the Los Angeles Clippers.  On March 6, in San Antonio, the Clippers led the Spurs by 25 points before eventually falling, 116-112.  And on March 16, here in Los Angeles, the Clippers played without Kawhi Leonard, and once again lost by four points, 119-115.  Kawhi will play tonight, and the Clippers will have a scheduling advantage, as they had Wednesday off after losing to Portland by 10 on Tuesday night.  Since 1990, the Spurs have cashed just 33% when playing without rest on the road against a .500 (or better) team off a loss by more than eight points.  Take the Clippers.

At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Avalanche minus 1.5 goals over the Calgary Flames.  The Avalanche have locked up a post-season appearance -- their ninth season in a row that they will be in the playoffs -- but their work is not done yet.  Colorado not only wants to hold on to the Central Division lead that it's had virtually all season, but it also wants to lock up the Presidents Trophy thereby getting home ice through the post-season.  It lost its last game on Saturday to the Jets, however the Dallas Stars -- the only team with a chance at catching the Avs -- lost last night in Philly and have been stumbling badly down the stretch, having lost five of their last six overall.  So the Avs still have a comfortable six point lead with 10 games to go (and two in hand over Dallas).  The Avs are always favorites these days no matter who they play and that's certainly true tonight at home against the 31-42 Flames.  The Avs have won seven of the last eight meetings with Calgary, with the lone loss coming in the last meeting.  Take Colorado minus 1.5 goals.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Golden State.  The Warriors are on a 3-game win streak after getting by the Wizards on Friday night, 131-126.  Denver, meanwhile, defeated Utah, 135-129, in its most recent game.  The Nuggets lost to the Warriors, 128-117, in the previous meeting.  We'll take the revenge-minded Nuggets, as they're 13-1-1 ATS their last 15 when playing with revenge vs. a conference foe, including 10-0-1 ATS if their opponent was off a straight-up win.  And the Warriors are a woeful 16-31 ATS when catching more than 7 points.  Take the Nuggets.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 3:40 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks + the points over the Los Angeles Clippers.  Milwaukee lost yesterday by 32 points to the San Antonio Spurs.  And that was the Bucks' 3rd straight loss by more than 30 points.  We'll take Milwaukee to bounce back this afternoon, as home dogs of 13+ points are 146-113-6 ATS, including 40-17-1 ATS when playing without rest, and 87-59-4 ATS off a SU/ATS loss.  Grab the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:45 pm, our selection is on the Purdue Boilermakers + the points over Arizona.  The Boilermakers are a solid 16-8 ATS as an underdog in the NCAA Tournament, while the Wildcats are an awful 1-9-2 ATS in the NCAA Tourney off a SU/ATS win.  That bodes well for Purdue tonight.  As does the fact that the Boilermakers are 4-1 SU/ATS vs. Arizona since 2000, notwithstanding the fact Purdue was an underdog in every game.  Finally, underdogs have cashed 66% in the NCAA Tourney's Elite 8 Round in match-ups between two teams that won their conference tournament.  Take Purdue.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 6:05 pm, our selection is on the Iowa Hawkeyes + the points over Illinois.  The #9-seeded Hawkeyes are this season's Cinderella after knocking out #1-seeded Florida in the 2nd Round, and #4-seeded Nebraska in the Sweet 16.  Iowa will now look to avenge an earlier home loss this season to #3-seeded, Illinois.  We'll grab the points as, in the Elite 8 Round, teams seeded #7 (or worse) have cashed 71.8% vs. better-seeded foes since 1990, including 4-0-1 ATS when playing with revenge.  Even better:  Iowa is 22-6 ATS when playing with revenge in the post-season, including a perfect 10-0 ATS when priced from +3.5 to +9.5 points.  Take Iowa.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Tennessee Volunteers + the points over Iowa St.  The Cyclones' All-American, Joshua Jefferson, will once again be a game-time decision tonight, as he is recovering from an ankle injury.  We'll take the underdog Volunteers regardless, as Big 12 teams are a poor 11-20-1 ATS in the Sweet 16, including 1-7 ATS vs. foes seeded #6 or worse.  In contrast, the SEC Conference is 9-2 ATS its last 11 games in the Sweet 16, and 6-2-1 ATS in the Sweet 16 when seeded #6 or worse.  And in Sweet 16 match-ups between #2 and #6 seeds, the #6 seed has gone 10-3-1 ATS when priced from +3 to +6.5 points.  Take Tennessee.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers minus the points over Miami.  We played on the Heat on Wednesday vs. the Cavs, and got the $$$ in a 17-point win.  We will switch gears, and lay the points with Cleveland in this re-match.  Miami is a miserable 7-29 SU and 10-25-1 ATS as a road underdog of 7 or less points when playing an opponent in back-to-back games, if Miami covered the spread in the prior game.  And Cleveland is 14-4 SU/ATS vs. foes off upset wins, if the Cavs were not laying more than 5 points.  Take Cleveland to blow out the Heat.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the St. John's Red Storm + the points over Duke.  The Blue Devils blew out TCU last weekend, 81-58, as a 12-point favorite.  Off that big win, we'll fade Duke this evening, as it's 2-14 ATS in the post-season after covering the spread by more than 8 points, if it was priced from -6 to -23 points.  That bodes well for St. John's.  As does the fact that the Big East Champion has gone 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS its last eight Sweet 16 Round games.  Meanwhile, the ACC Champion is a dreadful 1-8 ATS in the Sweet 16 Round when favored by less than 8 points.  Take St. John's + the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Purdue Boilermakers minus the points over Texas.  The Boilermakers staggered a bit from January 7 thru March 12 when they went 11-7 SU and 4-14 ATS.  But since then, they're 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS, with their only point spread loss coming by a mere half-point.  And, most impressively, they beat the Michigan Wolverines in the Big 10 title game by eight points, and another Sweet 16 entrant, Nebraska, by 16 points in the Big 10 quarterfinals.  Texas is not in the same class as those other teams.  Indeed, the Longhorns' defensive rating is the worst of any of the remaining 16 teams (while Purdue's offensive rating is the best).  I look for Purdue to trounce the Longhorns.  Lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 9:40 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets minus the points over Minnesota.  The Rockets were upset by the Chicago Bulls, 132-124, as a 9-point road favorite on Monday, while Minny went into Boston on Sunday, and stunned the Celtics, 102-92, as a 10-point dog.  The Rockets will catch a break this evening by not having to see Anthony Edwards, as the All-Star is sidelined with a knee injury.  Houston is 26-12 ATS its last 38 off an upset loss, while Minnesota is 17-30 ATS off an 8-point (or greater) upset win.  Take the Rockets.

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Lakers minus the points over Indiana.  The Lakers were upset by Detroit, 113-110, on Monday, snapping its 9-game win streak, while Indiana went into Orlando and won outright, 128-126, as a double-digit underdog, snapping its 16-game losing streak.  We'll take Luka Doncic & Co. to bounce back, as L.A. is 10-4 ATS its last 14 off an upset loss, while Indiana is a poor 8-15 ATS vs. foes off an upset loss.  And double-digit home dogs have cashed just 31.1% over the last 36 years off an upset win, when matched up against a foe off a SU/ATS loss.  Lay the points.
