At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New York Yankees -1.5 runs (+115) over the Los Angeles Angels.  After a red-hot start to the season (7-1 in their first eight games) the Yankees haven't just cooled off, but it's more like they're in the deep freeze.  New York has lost six of its last seven games, including the five-game losing streak it is currently on as it returns home to face the somewhat surprising Angels, who are 8-8.  The fault for the Yankees mostly lies not with their pitching, but with their hitting.  The Yankees rotation in particular has been solid.  And in fact despite its recent struggles, New York still has the top starting pitching in the Majors (2.67 ERA in 15 starts).  But on the flip side, the Yanks are only batting .202 -- the third-worst team average in the league.  One of the pleasant surprises for New York will take the mound tonight as 26-year-old RH Will Warren gets his fourth start of the season.  Warren is currently 1-0 with a 3.07 ERA with 14 strikeouts and five walks in 14 2/3 innings.  The Yankees have won three of Warren's last four starts going back to September of last season.  Take New York -1.5 runs, at an underdog price.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7:20 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Braves -1.5 runs over the Cleveland Guardians.  Chris Sale won the NL Cy Young award two seasons ago when most thought he was well on the downward side of his career.  Now after a 2025 campaign that saw injuries limit the veteran southpaw to just 21 games (20 starts), Sale is back healthy again for another run in 2026 at the age of 37.  He's off to a solid if not spectacular start with a 2-1 record, 3.94 ERA, and 0.88 WHIP in three starts covering 16 innings (with 16 strikeouts and five walks).  Start number four will come tonight against a Cleveland team that Sale is very familiar with from his early years in the American League with the White Sox.  One thing's for sure, Sale loves pitching at his new home ballpark as in 26 games here at SunTrust Park (25 starts), Sale is 15-2 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 191 strikeouts and 33 walks in just under 159 innings.  Despite the shutout loss on Saturday, the Braves are 7-2 in the last nine meetings with the Guardians.  Take Atlanta -1.5 runs.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans minus the points over Sacramento.  The Pelicans enter tonight on a six-game losing streak.  But all six games were against teams with winning records, and New Orleans was an underdog in each game.  Here, they're the favorite.  And New Orleans is 11-3 SU/ATS as a favorite this season, including 6-0 SU/ATS its last six.  Meanwhile, the Kings have had another lost season, as they're 20-57 SU and 32-45 ATS.  Sacramento did pull an upset against Toronto, north-of-the-border on Wednesday.  But the Kings are a soft 16-27 ATS as a home dog off a win, if they were playing an opponent off a loss.  The Pelicans have pounded the Kings of late, cashing 11 of the last 12 meetings, including both this season (120-94; 133-123).  Lay the points with New Orleans.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 10:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers + the points over San Antonio.  The Spurs got by Golden State, 127-113, last night for their 26th win in their last 28 games (and 26th win in the 27 games that Victor Wembanyama has played).  Certainly, not many teams have been competitive with the Spurs in this stretch.  But one team which has given the Spurs all they can handle is the Los Angeles Clippers.  On March 6, in San Antonio, the Clippers led the Spurs by 25 points before eventually falling, 116-112.  And on March 16, here in Los Angeles, the Clippers played without Kawhi Leonard, and once again lost by four points, 119-115.  Kawhi will play tonight, and the Clippers will have a scheduling advantage, as they had Wednesday off after losing to Portland by 10 on Tuesday night.  Since 1990, the Spurs have cashed just 33% when playing without rest on the road against a .500 (or better) team off a loss by more than eight points.  Take the Clippers.

At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks over Houston.  New York comes into tonight's game off an 11-point loss at Oklahoma City.  And that was New York's second straight defeat (after seven consecutive wins).  The Knicks will look to get back into the win column tonight at the Toyota Center.  The Rockets were expected to be a primary contender to wrest away OKC's crown, but instead have largely struggled this season, and sit in 6th place in the Western Conference.  Houston is 45-29 SU and 30-42-2 ATS, with eight games remaining.  The Rockets did blow out New Orleans, 134-102, in their previous game, but are a poor 10-17 ATS this season off a SU/ATS win.  Even worse:  if Houston's opponent was off a SU/ATS loss, then our 10-17 stat devolves to 1-12 ATS, including 0-5 ATS at home.  Take New York.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Avalanche minus 1.5 goals over the Calgary Flames.  The Avalanche have locked up a post-season appearance -- their ninth season in a row that they will be in the playoffs -- but their work is not done yet.  Colorado not only wants to hold on to the Central Division lead that it's had virtually all season, but it also wants to lock up the Presidents Trophy thereby getting home ice through the post-season.  It lost its last game on Saturday to the Jets, however the Dallas Stars -- the only team with a chance at catching the Avs -- lost last night in Philly and have been stumbling badly down the stretch, having lost five of their last six overall.  So the Avs still have a comfortable six point lead with 10 games to go (and two in hand over Dallas).  The Avs are always favorites these days no matter who they play and that's certainly true tonight at home against the 31-42 Flames.  The Avs have won seven of the last eight meetings with Calgary, with the lone loss coming in the last meeting.  Take Colorado minus 1.5 goals.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Purdue Boilermakers minus the points over Texas.  The Boilermakers staggered a bit from January 7 thru March 12 when they went 11-7 SU and 4-14 ATS.  But since then, they're 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS, with their only point spread loss coming by a mere half-point.  And, most impressively, they beat the Michigan Wolverines in the Big 10 title game by eight points, and another Sweet 16 entrant, Nebraska, by 16 points in the Big 10 quarterfinals.  Texas is not in the same class as those other teams.  Indeed, the Longhorns' defensive rating is the worst of any of the remaining 16 teams (while Purdue's offensive rating is the best).  I look for Purdue to trounce the Longhorns.  Lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 9:45 pm, our selection is on the Arkansas Razorbacks minus the points over High Point.  The #12-seeded Panthers stunned Wisconsin as a double-digit underdog in Round 1.  We'll fade High Point tonight, as teams seeded #12 to #14 are 2-28 SU and 8-22 ATS their last 30 in the 2nd round.  That bodes well for Arkansas here.  As does the fact that the Panthers are 1-9 ATS as an underdog in the post-season vs. a foe off a SU win.  Take the Razorbacks.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over Dallas.  After winning four straight games, the Clippers have now dropped four in a row after back-to-back losses in New Orleans.  The Clippers will finish their 3-game road trip tonight in Dallas, and we'll lay the points over Dallas.  The Mavericks are a miserable 23-36 ATS as a home dog vs. foes off back-to-back losses.  And home dogs are a wallet-busting 77-108-3 ATS when getting 5+ points vs. foes off back to back SU/ATS losses.  Take the Clippers.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:50 pm, our selection is on the Illinois Illini minus the points over VCU.  The Rams went into overtime in their upset win over North Carolina.  We'll fade VCU tonight, as teams have gone 52-73-3 ATS in the Tournament after an overtime victory.  Lay the points.

At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Miami Heat + the points over the Houston Rockets.  The Heat come into this game off 3 straight losses (both SU and ATS) after losing at home to the Los Angeles Lakers, 134-126.  Miami is a sensational 38-13 ATS on the road off 3 ATS losses, while Houston is a horrid 33-54-3 ATS when playing without rest.  Take Miami + the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Gonzaga Bulldogs minus the points over Texas.  The Longhorns have used the play-in round as a springboard to the Round of 32, as Texas upended NC State on Tuesday, and followed that up with an upset win over BYU on Thursday.  We'll fade the Longhorns this evening, as teams that won a Play-In game have gone just 42.2% in the tourney as underdogs vs. foes off an ATS loss.  Even better: number 3 seeds (like Gonzaga) have gone 10-1 ATS vs. 14 seeds, if our 3 seed was off back to back wins.  Take Gonzaga.

At 6:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Cougars minus the points over Texas A&M.  Houston is 16-0 SU and 12-4 ATS as a double-digit favorite in the post-season.  And it is 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS vs. foes off an upset win.  We'll look for Kelvin Sampson's men to blow out Texas A&M.  Lay the points.

At 5:15 pm, our selection is on the Duke Blue Devils minus the points over TCU.  The Horned Frogs upset Ohio State, 66-64, on Thursday.  Off that upset win, we'll fade Jamie Dixon's men, as underdogs off an upset win are 81-115 ATS when seeded #9 or worse.  Take Duke.

At 12:10 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the Michigan Wolverines minus the points over St. Louis.  The Billikens blew out Georgia 102-77, as a 1.5-point underdog on Thursday, while Michigan failed to cover the spread in its 101-80 win vs. Howard, as a 31-point favorite.  We'll side with the Wolverines in this match-up, as underdogs of 7+ points have cashed just 37% in the NCAA Tournament the past 36 years after covering the spread in an NCAA tourney game by 10+ points, if its opponent failed to cover the spread in its previous tourney game by 10+ points.  That bodes well for Dusty May's men.  As does the fact that #1 seeds have cashed 73% in the NCAA Tournament after scoring 100+ points.  Additionally, teams off upset wins in round 1 are a soft 41.5% in round 2.  Finally, Michigan falls into 66-27 and 56-13 ATS systems of mine.  Lay the points with Michigan.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 10:00 pm, our selection is on the Connecticut Huskies minus the points over Furman.  UConn lost in the Big East Tourney final to St. John's, 72-52, while Furman blew out E. Tennessee St., 76-61, to win the Southern Conference.  UConn is a dominant 57-32 ATS vs. non-conference foes off wins by 9+ points.  Take the Huskies.

At 9:45 pm, our selection is on the Kansas Jayhawks minus the points over Cal-Baptist.  Kansas was smacked, 69-47, by Houston in the Big 12 Tourney.  We'll take the Jayhawks on Friday night, as they're 35-8-1 ATS off a loss by more than 11 points, including 11-1 ATS when favored by 13+ points.  Take the Jayhawks.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Miami-Fla Hurricanes minus the points over Missouri.  Miami was manhandled, 84-62, by Virginia, in the ACC Semifinals, while Missouri lost by 6 in the Big 12 Tourney to Kentucky.  We'll take Miami-Fla as a small favorite, as Missouri is a dismal 2-9 ATS in non-conference tourneys, while Miami-Fla is 7-2 ATS in that situation.  That bodes well for the Hurricanes.  As does the fact that Missouri is 2-8 ATS vs. foes off losses by 20+ points.  Finally, Miami-Fla falls into a 69-35 ATS system of mine which cashed last night on Texas A&M, and plays on certain teams off double-digit losses.  Lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 9:25 pm, our selection is on the Florida Gators minus the points over Prairie View A&M.  The defending champion Gators were blown out, 91-74, by Vanderbilt in the SEC Tourney.  Off that debacle, we'll play on Florida, as it is 7-0 ATS its last seven following an upset blowout loss by 15+ points.  We played on the Panthers in the First Four round, and cashed when they upset Lehigh, 67-55.  That was Prairie View's 11th straight ATS win, dating back to February 16, and 8th straight-up win in a row.  But underdogs of +6 (or more) points have cashed just 6 of 17 following an upset win in the First Four round.  Even better:  teams off upset wins have cashed just 42.1% over the last 36 years vs. foes off upset losses.  Lay the points with the Gators.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
