12-20-22 | Idaho State +16 v. Grand Canyon | Top | 66-68 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Idaho St Bengals + the points over Grand Canyon. The Bengals enter this game off back to back SU/ATS wins against St Thomas and Washington. But they're a solid 65% as a double digit road underdog off back to back SU/ATS losses. Grab the points with Idaho St. |
12-20-22 | Queens NC v. Nebraska -12.5 | Top | 65-75 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers minus the points over Queens U, NC. The Cornhuskers lost, 71-56, vs. Kansas State in their previous game. And the Huskers are back at home tonight vs. a Queens U, NC team on a 6-game ATS win streak. We'll fade the Royals, as the Cornhuskers are 16-4 ATS as a home (or neutral) court favorite of more than 8 points off 2+ losses. Take Nebraska. |
12-20-22 | Toledo v. Liberty +4 | Top | 21-19 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Liberty Flames plus the points over Toledo. The Flames have been installed as an underdog for this Boca Raton Bowl. And Liberty is a solid 14-4 ATS its last 18 when not favored by more than 3 points. Toledo, on the other hand, is 18-32-1 ATS in Non-Conference games when playing away from home. Take Liberty. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-20-22 | Lightning v. Maple Leafs -129 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Maple Leafs over Tampa Bay. After earning a point in 15 consecutive games, the Leafs stumbled in their last two outings at the Rangers, and at the Capitals. But Toronto is back home tonight, and it's a stellar 25-4 at home following a road game. And it's also 55-22 at home when the total was 6+ goals. Meanwhile, Tampa is a poor 2-6 (minus 7.8 net games) when it was on a 5-game win streak. The Leafs play this game with revenge from an overtime loss in Tampa earlier this month (not to mention a playoff series loss last spring). The Maple Leafs are 34-14 when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. Take Toronto. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-20-22 | Elon v. Indiana -28.5 | Top | 72-96 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Hoosiers minus the points over Elon. We played against the Hoosiers on Saturday, as we laid the points with Kansas, and were rewarded with a 22 point blowout. That was Indiana's 2nd straight ATS loss (both away from home). But the Hoosiers are back in Bloomington tonight, and they are 10-1 ATS their last 11 at home off an ATS loss. Lay the points with Indiana. |
12-20-22 | Marquette v. Providence +1 | Top | 98-103 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Providence Friars over Marquette. Both of these teams come into this Big East game with identical 9-3 records (and 1-0 conference records). Providence is a solid 36-16 ATS in conference games against .750 (or better) foes, when not getting 7 or more points. Take the Friars. |
12-20-22 | Georgetown +23 v. Connecticut | Top | 73-84 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Georgetown Hoyas + the points over Connecticut. The Hoyas lost, 102-89, at home to Xavier on Saturday, while UConn blew out Butler, 68-46. We'll take Georgetown as a big road dog tonight, as double-digit road dogs have cashed 61% since 1990 in Big East conference games, if they were off a SU loss, and their opponent was off an ATS win. Grab the points with the Hoyas. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-20-22 | Eastern Michigan v. San Jose State -4 | Top | 41-27 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 29 m | Show |
At 3:30 pm, our selection is on the San Jose St Spartans minus the points over Eastern Michigan. The Eagles won their last 3 games, including a 38-19 win vs. Central Michigan to end its season. Unfortunately, Eastern Michigan is a wallet-breaking 30-50 ATS off a win, including 5-18 ATS away from home vs. non-conference foes. Lay the points with San Jose St. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-19-22 | Blues v. Canucks -105 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 2 m | Show |
At 10:35 pm, our selection is on the Vancouver Canucks over the St Louis Blues. Vancouver got off to a slow start this season, as it was 0-7 its first seven games, and 4-12 its first 16. But since then, the Canucks have played much better, and have won nine of their last 14, while averaging 3.50 gpg. The Canucks' offense didn't show up on Saturday, as Vancouver was blown out at home, 5-1, by the Winnipeg Jets. They're on home ice once again tonight, and they're a solid 12-5 (but +11.0 net games) off a home loss by 3+ goals. Take the Canucks. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-19-22 | Mavs -4 v. Wolves | Top | 106-116 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 42 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Mavericks minus the points over Minnesota. The Mavs and T-Wolves will play two games here, in Minnesota, over the next three days. We'll take Dallas in Round 1, as it comes into this game off a 1-point loss at Cleveland. And Dallas is 14-0 ATS on the road off a road defeat, if the Mavs were rested, and not getting more than 3 points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-19-22 | Magic v. Hawks -7 | Top | 125-126 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 11 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Hawks minus the points over Orlando. The Magic blew out Atlanta, 135-124, last week. We'll take the Hawks, as they're 97-56-1 ATS at home when rested, and playing with revenge from a double-digit loss. Lay the points. |
12-19-22 | Raptors +7.5 v. 76ers | Top | 101-104 | Win | 100 | 12 h 42 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Raptors + the points over Philadelphia. The Raptors were blown out, 126-110, by Golden State on Sunday. And that was Toronto's 5th straight loss. We'll take the points with the Raptors, as they're 110-70 ATS in regular season games off back to back losses (including 29-12 ATS when playing without rest). Take the Raptors + the points. |
12-19-22 | Connecticut +12.5 v. Marshall | Top | 14-28 | Loss | -112 | 7 h 4 m | Show |
At 2:30 pm, our selection is on the Connecticut Huskies + the points over Marshall. It's never been a bad idea to take double-digit underdogs in Bowl games. And that's because they've gone 85-64-3 ATS since 1980. So, while I will go with a double-digit Bowl favorite on occasion, it's not something I will do with regularity. Moreover, Connecticut was blown out, 34-17, by Army in its season-ending game. And double-digit Bowl dogs have cashed 63% if they didn't win their previous game (compared to 54% if they were off a win). Meanwhile, Marshall is 17-26 ATS away from home as a favorite of -7+ points, while UConn is 11-5 ATS as an underdog. Finally, Sun Belt Conference favorites (or PK) are a dismal 41-75-3 ATS in non-conference games, if our Sun Belt team didn't own a losing record. Take UConn + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-19-22 | Connecticut v. Marshall OVER 40.5 | Top | 14-28 | Win | 100 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
At 2:30 pm, in the Myrtle Beach Bowl, our selection is on the OVER in the Connecticut/Marshall game. Both of these teams had mid-season stretches where they played a streak of Unders. UConn went under the total 5 straight games starting on October 1, while Marshall went under in 6 straight games starting on September 24. But both teams ended the season with high-scoring games that went over the total. Marshall's season-ending game vs. Georgia St went over the total of 45.5 by 5.5 points, as the Herd lost, 28-23, to the Panthers. Likewise, Connecticut's season-ending game vs. Army went over the 45-point total by 6 points, as Connecticut lost, 34-17. And its next-to-last regular season game went over the total of 45 by 24 points, as it upset Liberty, 36-33. In its last 10 seasons, Marshall has NEVER had a Total this low. But it's gone Over the total 65% since 2013 when the Over/Under line was less than 48 points. We'll look for a relatively high scoring game this afternoon. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Flames -165 v. Sharks | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 46 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Calgary Flames over the San Jose Sharks. James Reimer was in goal for San Jose last night, so back-up Kaapo Kahkonen will be between the pipes tonight vs. Calgary. When we last saw Kahkonen, he was getting torched by Vancouver, and only lasted two periods before getting pulled. He surrendered four goals on 19 shots that night, which lowered his save percentage to .877, and raised his GAA to 3.71. The Sharks have yet to beat a Pacific division rival here, at home, this season, as they're 0-6. Take Calgary. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Wizards +4.5 v. Lakers | Top | 117-119 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show |
At 9:40 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards + the points over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Wizards had a lead entering the 4th quarter of yesterday's game against the Clippers, but collapsed, and lost by nine points. That was the Wizards' 9th straight defeat, overall. We'll take Washington tonight, as it falls into a super 405-277 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on losing streaks. Additionally, the Wizards play with revenge from a loss to the Lakers two weeks ago, in DC. And the Lakers are an awful 40-78 ATS at home when playing a revenge-minded opponent it defeated on the road earlier in the season. Take Washington + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Giants v. Commanders OVER 40 | Top | 20-12 | Loss | -110 | 107 h 52 m | Show |
At 8:20 pm, our selection is on the OVER in the Washington/New York Giants game. The Giants' last four games have averaged 51.75 ppg, and three of the four have gone 'over' the total. We'll look for another relatively-high scoring game on Sunday night, as the Over falls into a 98-53 Totals system of mine. Take the Over. |
12-18-22 | Giants +4.5 v. Commanders | Top | 20-12 | Win | 100 | 12 h 6 m | Show |
At 8:20 pm, our selection is on the New York Giants + the points over Washington. Last week, the Giants were mauled at home by the Philadelphia Eagles, 48-22. New York now sits with a 7-5-1 record, and would earn the 7th (and final) NFC playoff berth, based on the current standings. We'll grab the points with New York, as it's 14-4 ATS off a home loss by 20+ points. And it's also 27-11 ATS as an underdog of +2.5 (or more) points vs. division rivals, if New York owned a winning record. Take the Giants. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Jets v. Seattle Kraken -140 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 48 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Seattle Kraken over the Winnipeg Jets. At 16-10-3, they still have a winning record and they're still probably the most surprising team in the league, but the Kraken have run into some rough waters lately. Coming into tonight, Seattle has lost five of its last six games -- all against Eastern Conference opponents. So maybe they're happy to be playing a team from the West -- albeit a pretty good one in Winnipeg. For the Jets, they had lost five of their last seven before winning last night's contest against the Canucks. They will have a quick --less than 24 hours -- turnaround after their 10:00 pm ET Saturday match-up in Vancouver. The Jets have a stingy defense at home this season, allowing just 2.25 GPG when playing in Winnipeg. But on the road, that number balloons to 3.08. The Jets went with regular #1 goalie Connor Hellebuyck last night against the Canucks which means they will use back-up David Rittich tonight. Seattle is 5-0 in its last five games vs. teams from the Western Conference. Take the Kraken. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Bulls -1.5 v. Wolves | Top | 126-150 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Bulls over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Bulls come into this game off 3 straight losses, while Minnesota enters off an upset win at Oklahoma City. Chicago has been installed as a road favorite over the banged-up Timberwolves. We'll take Chicago, as NBA road favorites (or PK) have cashed 55% since 1990 if they were rested, and off back-to-back losses. Take the Bulls. |
12-18-22 | Houston Christian +8 v. UT-Rio Grande Valley | Top | 90-100 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Houston Christian Huskies + the points over UT-Rio Grande Valley. These two teams met eight days ago, in Houston, and the Vaqueros won, 95-82, as a 3-point road favorite. We'll take the Huskies in this rematch on South Padre Island, as they've cashed 61.1% away from home when playing with revenge, while the Vaqueros are 40% ATS when playing a revenge-minded foe. And the Huskies also fall into a 65.1% ATS revenge system of mine. Take Houston Christian + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | California +11.5 v. Santa Clara | Top | 62-71 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the California Golden Bears + the points over Santa Clara. The Bears are winless, at 0-11. That's the bad news. The good news, though, with respect to this evening's game, is that winless teams, with an 0-11 (or worse) record, have cashed 65% since 1990 off back to back ATS losses. Take California + the points. |
12-18-22 | Bengals v. Bucs OVER 44 | Top | 34-23 | Win | 100 | 103 h 57 m | Show |
At 4:25 pm, our selection is on the OVER in the Tampa Bay/Cincinnati game. We played on the Buccaneers to go Over the total last week, in their game against San Francisco, and were rewarded with a 35-7 49ers blowout. We'll look for this game to go Over the total, as well, as Tom Brady's teams have gone OVER 11 of 14 games after scoring less than 10 points, including 6-0 OVER if they lost that previous game by 17+ points. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Bengals v. Bucs +4 | Top | 34-23 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 12 m | Show |
At 4:25 pm, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers + the points over the Cincinnati Bengals. Last week, Tom Brady & Co. played about as bad a game as they could have, and were destroyed by San Francisco, 35-7. But off that 28-point blowout loss, we'll take the Bucs to bounce back on this afternoon. Indeed, over the last 43 years, home dogs of more than 3 points that scored 7 or less, and allowed 35 or more in their previous game, have covered 62%. We saw this situation earlier this season when Pittsburgh was blown out, 38-3, by Buffalo. They played these Bucs in their next game, and we had a huge play on the Steelers as a 9.5-point underdog. They won outright, 20-18. Coincidentally, that game marked the start of Tampa's decline this season. The Bucs were 3-2 entering that contest, but have gone 3-5 SU and 1-6-1 ATS from that point. Of course, the oddsmakers have significantly adjusted the numbers for Tampa, such that it's now installed as a home dog vs. Cincy. I won't pass up this opportunity to play on Tampa, as Tom Brady's teams are 16-0 ATS their last 16 (and 25-2 ATS their last 27) off a straight-up loss, if they weren't favored by more than 1 point! Take the Buccaneers + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-18-22 | Patriots v. Raiders +1 | Top | 24-30 | Win | 100 | 103 h 36 m | Show |
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the Las Vegas Raiders + the points over New England. The Raiders were upset by the Rams last Thursday night, as a road favorite, while New England won and covered as a road favorite at Arizona. We'll take the Raiders, as teams off an upset loss as a road favorite have gone 54-33 ATS vs. foes off an SU/ATS win as a road favorite. |
12-18-22 | Magic v. Celtics -10 | Top | 95-92 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
At 3:10 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Orlando. This is the 2nd of back-to-back meetings between these clubs. Orlando took round 1 with a 117-109 victory, as a 13.5-point underdog. We'll take Boston in the rematch, as the Celtics have covered 67% since 1990 as a home favorite in the regular season, if they were upset by their opponent in the Celtics' previous game. Lay the points. |
12-18-22 | Green Bay +17 v. Oregon State | Top | 56-65 | Win | 100 | 7 h 42 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix + the points over Oregon St. The Beavers have been installed as a huge favorite today vs. UWGB. Unfortunately for Oregon St, it's a woeful 1-11-1 ATS as a favorite of 2+ points (and 6-21-1 ATS its last 28). That bodes well for Green Bay tonight. As does the fact that the Phoenix are 12-3-1 ATS in non-conference games off back to back ATS losses. Take Wisconsin-Green Bay + the points. |
12-18-22 | Eagles v. Bears +9 | Top | 25-20 | Win | 100 | 28 h 4 m | Show |
At 1:00 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Bears + the points over Philadelphia. The Bears come into this game on a 6-game losing streak. And they've also failed to cover the spread in each of their last four games. We'll take Chicago as a big home dog, as it's cashed 83% over the last 43 seasons as a home underdog of +6 (or more) points, if it didn't cover the spread in its two previous games. Even better: the Bears had their Bye week last weekend. And NFL teams off their Bye week have cashed 67.7% as a home dog of more than 5 points. Take Chicago + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Boise State v. North Texas +11 | Top | 35-32 | Win | 100 | 13 h 37 m | Show |
At 9:15 pm, our selection is on the North Texas Mean Green + the points over Boise St. The Mean Green won't have to travel far from their Denton campus to this Frisco Bowl game, so they'll have most of today's crowd rooting for them. We'll fade Boise St, as the Broncos have burned money in the post-season when favored by less than 12 points, as they're 1-8 ATS their last nine! And double-digit Conference USA underdogs have gone 14-7 ATS in Bowl games. Take North Texas + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Oklahoma State -4 v. Wichita State | Top | 59-49 | Win | 100 | 12 h 1 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma St Cowboys minus the points over Wichita St. The Shockers blew out Mississippi Valley State, 71-48, in their last game. Unfortunately, they're a dreadful 1-13 ATS off a win by 4+ points. Take Oklahoma St minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Dolphins v. Bills OVER 43 | Top | 29-32 | Win | 100 | 69 h 39 m | Show |
At 8:20 pm, our selection is on the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins to go OVER the total. Yes, it's the month of December, and wintry weather conditions are afoot. But the forecast for Saturday night isn't horribly bad. There's a little bit of snowfall in the forecast, with winds in the 10 mph to 15 mph range, and a temperature of 22 degrees. I like the Over in this game, as this is a relatively-low total for a Bills game. Indeed, in the past three seasons only eight Buffalo games have had a lower number than what we currently see for this game. And the Bills went OVER the total in six of those eight games. Similarly, the Dolphins have played 30 games over the past two seasons. Only 7 of those 30 had a lower number than this game, and Miami went Over the total in four of those seven. Earlier this season, the number posted for the Bills game in Miami was 54; last year, the two games had lines of 48.5 and 48. By my math, the value clearly is on the side of the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Grizzlies v. Thunder +9 | Top | 109-115 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma City + the points over Memphis. The Grizz have won their last seven (and nine of their last 10) games SU/ATS. But we'll fade Memphis today, as OKC will be seeking revenge from a 21-point loss just 10 days ago. The Thunder are a solid 74-51-1 ATS when playing with revenge in the regular season vs. a foe off a SU/ATS win. Take OKC + the points. |
12-17-22 | Jazz v. Bucks -4.5 | Top | 97-123 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks minus the points over Utah. The Jazz are a wallet-breaking 12-24 ATS on the road when they weren't favored by 3 or more points. And Milwaukee's a terrific 37-19 ATS in the regular season when favored (or PK) off a loss by more than 5 points. With the Bucks in off a 142-101 blowout loss to Memphis, we'll lay the points with Giannis Antetokounmpo & Co. tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Drake v. St. Louis -5 | Top | 75-83 | Win | 100 | 11 h 1 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the St Louis Billikens minus the points over Drake. St Louis does enter tonight's game off back to back losses to Iona and Boise St. However, the Billikens are 42-22 ATS as a home favorite (or PK), including 9-1-1 ATS off back to back losses. Take St. Louis. |
12-17-22 | Connecticut v. Butler +7.5 | Top | 68-46 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 53 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Butler Bulldogs + the points over Connecticut. The Huskies are 11-0, and enter off a 53-point win over Long Island. But UConn is 25-51 ATS on the road off back to back wins, if they won their previous game by more than 8 points. Take Butler. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Utah v. BYU +2.5 | Top | 66-75 | Win | 100 | 3 h 53 m | Show |
At 6 pm, our selection is on the BYU Cougars + the points over Utah. We'll take the homestanding Cougars in this Beehive State rivalry. BYU has covered five of the last six meetings, including two double-digit blowouts the past two years. The Cougars were a 1-point favorite in those two games, and the spread is also competitively-priced this evening. Unfortunately, for the Utes, they're 1-10 ATS their last 11 in games with point spreads of 3 or less. And BYU's 83-63 ATS here, at home vs. non-conference foes when not getting 3+ points.. Take the Cougars. |
12-17-22 | Rice +7 v. Southern Miss | Top | 24-38 | Loss | -120 | 3 h 40 m | Show |
At 5:45 pm, our selection is on the Rice Owls + the points over Southern Miss. These two teams know each other well, as they battled virtually every year as members of Conference USA. But Southern Miss left this year for the Sun Belt Conference, so this meeting will be the first time they met in a Bowl game. Rice won each of the past two seasons (both SU and ATS), and is 8-4 ATS vs. Southern Miss in this series. It's true that the Owls ended their season with 3 straight losses. But College football underdogs of 6+ points have covered 68% in post-season games since 1980 off 3+ losses. Take Rice + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Wizards +6.5 v. Clippers | Top | 93-102 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 17 m | Show |
At 4:10 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards + the points over Los Angeles. The Clippers went into Washington last Saturday, and upended the Wizards, 114-107. We'll take the Wizards + the points in this rematch, as they're 82-54 ATS when playing with revenge from a home defeat. Take Washington. |
12-17-22 | Ducks v. Oilers -1.5 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -125 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the Edmonton Oilers minus 1.5 goals over the Anaheim Ducks. After getting shut out in back-to-back games on their trip across Canada by the Senators and Maple Leafs, the Ducks bounced back nicely on Thursday to upset the Canadiens in Montreal, 5-2. But let's not kid ourselves, this is still a bad team that has won just eight times in 31 games and has a league-worst minus 57 goals differential. The Oilers come in having lost here at home on Thursday in a tough one to the Blues in a shootout, 4-3. It's Edmonton's second loss in its last three games but the good news for tonight is that the Oilers don't lose two in a row very often (they haven't in almost a month). Just how bad have the Ducks been on the road this season? How about a 2.11 GPG scoring average combined with a 4.42 goals-against average for a scoring differential of -2.31 goals in 19 games away from Anaheim. The Ducks are 1-4 in the last five meetings with the Oilers and 2-5 in the last seven here in Edmonton. The Oilers are 25-7 in their last 32 vs. teams with a win % below .400. Take Edmonton on the puck line, minus 1.5 goals. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |

12-17-22 | Fresno State v. Washington State +4.5 | Top | 29-6 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
At 3:30 pm, our selection is on the Washington St Cougars + the points over Fresno St. The Bulldogs are a horrid 4-15 ATS away from home, when favored against a non-conference foe, including 1-7 ATS in Bowl games. Take Washington St. |
12-17-22 | Cornell v. Syracuse -8.5 | Top | 63-78 | Win | 100 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Syracuse Orange minus the points over Cornell. After losing three straight, the Orange have rebounded to win their last four (3-1 ATS). And they'll welcome the Big Red to The Dome this afternoon, as they seek their 42nd straight win in this upstate New York rivalry. Cornell played another ACC team on the road in its last game, and it did cover the spread in a 2-point loss to the Miami Hurricanes. But the Big Red are still just 17-31 ATS as a regular season road underdog of more than 4 points, if they weren't off a SU/ATS loss. Take the Orange minus the points. |
12-17-22 | Northwestern State v. Rice -6 | Top | 73-110 | Win | 100 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Rice Owls minus the points over Northwestern St. The Owls are a solid 17-6-2 ATS their last 25 home games, including a perfect 7-0 ATS when priced from -5 to -12 points. Take Rice. |
12-17-22 | Florida +8.5 v. Oregon State | Top | 3-30 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 41 m | Show |
At 2:15 pm, our selection is on the Florida Gators + the points over Oregon State. The Gators are 18-7 ATS as underdogs of +5 (or more) points away from home, when matched up against a foe off a point spread win. And Oregon State is 2-14 ATS away from home vs. non-conference foes off a loss, including 0-8 ATS when favored by 7+ points. Grab the points with the Gators. |
12-17-22 | Florida International +16 v. Florida Atlantic | Top | 53-79 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 6 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Florida International Panthers + the points over Florida Atlantic. The Panthers are a super 22-13 ATS in this rivalry, including 12-3 ATS their last 15 when getting 3.5 (or more) points. And the Owls are 4-13 ATS as a home favorite of -9 (or more) points. The Panthers also fall into 101-52 and 133-68 ATS systems of mine. Take Florida International + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Colts +4 v. Vikings | Top | 36-39 | Win | 100 | 61 h 33 m | Show |
At 1 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the Indianapolis Colts + the points over Minnesota. I continue to believe the Vikings are overrated. Last week, I played on the Lions -2.5 over Minnesota as my NFC North Division Game of the Year, and the Lions shellacked the Vikings, 34-23. This week, Minny returns home to face the well-rested Colts, who are off their Bye week. Two weeks ago, the Colts were blown out by the Cowboys, 54-19. But that was a highly misleading final, as the score was 21-19 with 14 minutes left in the game, before Dallas exploded for 33 points in the fourth quarter. We'll take Jeff Saturday's men to bounce back, as Indianapolis is a wallet-fattening 32-8 ATS off a straight-up loss, if it failed to cover the spread by 8 or more points in that defeat. Additionally, NFL teams that gave up more than 52 points in their previous game have rebounded to go 10-0 ATS their last 10 (and 21-3 ATS their last 24), provided they weren't playing a revenge-minded opponent which they beat in the same, or prior season. Take the Colts + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
12-17-22 | Alabama v. Gonzaga +2 | Top | 90-100 | Win | 100 | 4 h 5 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Gonzaga Bulldogs + the points over Alabama. This game will be played in Birmingham, Alabama. The Zags lost last season to the Crimson Tide, so they'll be playing this game with revenge. I think they'll get it, as the Tide is 7-21 ATS as a favorite (or PK). And it's also 3-11-1 ATS when favored against a revenge-minded foe. Even better: the Bulldogs are 11-0 ATS their last 11 (and 21-3-2 ATS their last 26) when playing away from home with revenge. Take Gonzaga. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-17-22 | Indiana v. Kansas -5 | Top | 62-84 | Win | 100 | 3 h 3 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the Kansas Jayhawks minus the points over Indiana. The Hoosiers are a woeful 54-89-1 ATS as a single-digit road underdog since 1994. Take Kansas minus the points. |
12-17-22 | Louisville v. Cincinnati OVER 38.5 | Top | 24-7 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 15 m | Show |
At 11 am, our selection is on the Over in the Louisville/Cincinnati game. This Fenway Bowl game matches Louisville from the ACC against Cincinnati from the American Athletic Conference. In games between schools from the ACC and AAC, the OVER has cashed 69% when the Over/Under line was 51 points or less. The Over/Under line in this game actually opened at 45, but has been significantly lowered from that opener. By my math, the current number confers great value on the Over, and I'll look for a relatively-high scoring game on this Saturday. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-16-22 | Blues v. Flames -190 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -190 | 16 h 36 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Calgary Flames over the St. Louis Blues. Yesterday, St. Louis went into Edmonton, and outlasted the Oilers with a 4-3 shootout victory. The Blues #1 Goalie, Jordan Binnington, started that game, so back-up Thomas Greiss will be in net tonight. Unfortunately for the Blues, their opponents have scored at least 4 goals in each of Greiss' 7 starts this season, for an average of 4.57 gpg. A year ago, for Detroit, Greiss had the worst saves percentage (.891) of his career (not including seasons where he made less than 16 starts). This season has started off similarly for Greiss, as his saves percentage is a dreadful .899. The Flames will be looking to snap a 4-game losing streak tonight. But Calgary hasn't been playing all that poorly, as its last three losses have all come after regulation. So, it is a decent 3-1-3 in its last seven games. Still, the Flames will need to break out of their offensive slump (9 goals in last 4 games) tonight. However, given Greiss' season stats, I believe they will light the lamp several times tonight. Take Calgary. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-15-22 | Suns +1.5 v. Clippers | Top | 111-95 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show |
At 10:40 pm, our selection is on the Phoenix Suns over the Los Angeles Clippers. Last night, the Clippers won their 3rd straight game, 99-88, vs. Minnesota. Meanwhile, the Suns lost for the 5th straight time on Tuesday, as Houston blew them out, 111-97. We'll take Phoenix to bounce back on Thursday, as it is 56-20 ATS its last 76 off an upset road loss. That bodes well for the Suns tonight. As does the fact that it's 113-67 ATS vs. an unrested opponent which won its previous game, provided the Suns weren't laying 8+ points. Take Phoenix. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-15-22 | Pelicans -1.5 v. Jazz | Top | 129-132 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 20 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans over the Utah Jazz. These two teams met two nights ago, and the Jazz routed New Orleans, 121-101, as a 2.5-point underdog. That snapped the Pelicans' 7-game win streak, and dropped them into a tie with Memphis for the #1 spot in the Western Conference. We'll take the Pelicans to bounce back in this rematch, as they're 10-3 ATS off an upset loss. Even better: New Orleans has cashed 64% since 2009 when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season by more than 20 points, while Utah has covered four of its last 14 at home vs. a foe it defeated by more than 20 points earlier in the season. Finally, the revenger in this Pelicans/Jazz series is 39-19-4 ATS. Take New Orleans. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-15-22 | 49ers v. Seahawks +3 | Top | 21-13 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 8 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the Seattle Seahawks + the points over San Francisco. The Seahawks received welcome news this week when RB Kenneth Walker III returned to practice. And that's all we need to pull the trigger on Seattle, as it has been hampered without its top 2 running backs (Walker, Rashaad Penny) on the field. The 49ers, of course, have their own injury problems. WR Deebo Samuel went down last week, and will miss tonight's game. QB Brock Purdy is questionable (though I assume he will play). Last week, the Seahawks lost here, at home, to Carolina, as a 3.5-point favorite. We'll take Seattle to bounce back, as winning teams are 62% ATS at home since 1980 off an upset loss, if their opponent won its previous game by more than 14 points. With SF in off a 28-point blowout win over Tampa, grab the points with Seattle. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-14-22 | Western Kentucky v. Louisville +8 | Top | 83-94 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Louisville Cardinals + the points over Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers enter tonight's game on a 5-game win streak (while Louisville is on an 0-9 SU/ATS start to the season). We'll look for these streaks to be halted tonight, and will grab the points with the home underdog Cardinals. The Hilltoppers are 0-8 ATS away from home off back to back wins. And Louisville also falls into 82-30, 41-7, 62-23 and 109-55 ATS systems of mine. Take the Cardinals. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-14-22 | Tennessee Tech v. Lipscomb -10 | Top | 63-64 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Lipscomb Bisons minus the points over Tennessee Tech. Lipscomb is back home tonight after dropping back-to-back road games at Alabama A&M and Tennessee St. And Lipscomb was favored in each of those games. The Bisons are now 1-4 SU/2-3 ATS on the road, but a perfect 5-0 SU and 2-0 ATS at home. We'll lay the points with Lipscomb, as the Golden Eagles are 0-11 ATS vs. non-conference foes off an upset loss. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-14-22 | UCF v. Ole Miss -6 | Top | 72-61 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Ole Miss Rebels minus the points over Central Florida. The Rebels have covered 60% as a single-digit home favorite vs. non-conference foes since 1990. Lay the points. |
12-14-22 | Warriors -1 v. Pacers | Top | 119-125 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors over the Indiana Pacers. These two teams met earlier this season in San Francisco. The Pacers upset Golden State, 112-104, as an 11-point road underdog. We'll take the Warriors in this rematch, as Golden State is 53-31 ATS when playing with revenge, if the Warriors were off a SU/ATS loss. With Golden State in off a blowout loss at Milwaukee last night, we'll take the defending Champs to bounce back tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-14-22 | DePaul v. Duquesne -2.5 | Top | 55-66 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Duquesne Dukes minus the points over DePaul. The Dukes come into this game off 3 ATS losses. We'll lay the points with the Dukes, as DePaul is an ugly 35.7% ATS over the past 33 years vs. non-conference foes that lost ATS in each of their three previous games. Take Duquesne. |
12-14-22 | Queens NC v. East Tennessee State -2.5 | Top | 78-75 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the East Tennessee St Buccaneers minus the points over Queens Univ., NC. The Royals upset High Point, 87-79, as a 2.5-point road underdog on Friday. And that was Queens U.'s fifth straight ATS win. We'll go against the Royals tonight, as NCAA underdogs on a 5-game (or better) ATS win streak have covered just 35% of non-conference games since 1990, if they were off an upset win on the road against another non-conference foe. Lay the points with East Tennessee St. |
12-14-22 | Coastal Carolina v. South Dakota -2.5 | Top | 87-86 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 33 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the South Dakota Coyotes minus the points over Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers walloped Regent U., 102-39, on Saturday. We'll fade Coastal Carolina tonight, as it is a horrid 3-18-1 ATS after scoring more than 80 points in winning its previous game. Take South Dakota. |
12-13-22 | Southern Miss v. Lamar +13.5 | Top | 91-65 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 20 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Lamar Cardinals + the points over Southern Mississippi. Both of these teams changed their conference affiliation this season. Southern Miss moved to the Sun Belt Conference from Conference USA, while Lamar switched from the WAC to the Southland Conference. These two teams are playing the 2nd of back-to-back games. The Golden Eagles won, 95-59, in Hattiesburg on Saturday, as a 19.5-point home favorite. We'll take Lamar + the points in the rematch, as Lamar is 12-5-1 ATS off a loss by 15+ points. Additionally, it falls into a revenge system of mine which has cashed 56.1% since 1990, as well as a 2nd revenge angle which has cashed 65.9% since 1990. Take the Cardinals. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-13-22 | Blue Jackets v. Panthers -1.5 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 16 h 18 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Florida Panthers minus 1.5 goals over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus is on a 2-game win streak after it won back-to-back home games vs. Calgary (3-1) and Los Angeles (6-5). Unfortunately, it's 6-15 off back to back wins, and 20-37 (minus 11.4 net games) after scoring more than 3 goals in its previous game. Meanwhile, the Panthers come into tonight's contest off back to back losses to two 35-point teams: Tampa and Seattle, so they'll look to snap this losing streak tonight. The good news for Florida is that Columbus is the Eastern conference's worst team, with just 22 points. The Panthers will also be playing with major revenge tonight. These two teams met earlier this season, and the Blue Jackets surprised the Panthers with a 5-3 upset win. But Florida is 26-18 (+3.9 net games) when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. And it's 45-20 (+14.8 net games) after allowing at least 3 goals in each of its two previous games. We'll take Florida on the puck-line tonight, and lay 1.5 goals, as the Panthers' last 7 victories have all come by at least 2 goals. And 14 of Columbus' 17 defeats this season have been by at least 2 goals. Take Florida minus 1.5 goals. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-12-22 | Creighton -3.5 v. Arizona State | Top | 71-73 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 13 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Creighton Bluejays minus the points over Arizona State. This game will be played on a neutral court, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bluejays were highly-ranked entering the season, but have dropped their last four games, and are in jeopardy of being unranked in this week's Poll when it's released later today. In Saturday's loss to BYU, Ryan Kalkbrenner didn't play due to a non-covid illness. His availability is listed as 'day-to-day' so he may (or may not) suit up tonight. Regardless, we'll lay the points with the Bluejays, as they're 38-15 ATS in the regular season off back-to-back SU/ATS losses, including 23-6 ATS when favored by 3 or more points. Even better: Creighton plays this game with revenge from a 1-point loss to the Sun Devils, in Omaha, last season. And the Bluejays are 16-5 ATS in the regular season when playing with revenge away from home, if they weren't getting 2+ points. Take Creighton. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-12-22 | Hawks v. Grizzlies -6.5 | Top | 103-128 | Win | 100 | 14 h 25 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points over Atlanta. The Grizz come into tonight's game on a 5-game SU/ATS win streak, and have also won/covered seven of their last eight. I won't step in front of this freight train, and especially not with an Atlanta team missing Dejounte Murray. After failing to cover the spread last night, the Hawks are a wallet-breaking 4-9 ATS their last 13. The Hawks defeated the Grizzlies, 120-105, when these teams last met. But Memphis is a super 55-26 ATS in the regular season when rested, and playing with revenge, if the Grizz owned a W/L percentage of .600 or better (at Game 9 forward). Take Memphis. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-12-22 | Heat -2.5 v. Pacers | Top | 87-82 | Win | 100 | 13 h 26 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Miami Heat minus the points over Indiana. The Heat come into this game off a dismal performance against San Antonio, the league's worst team. And that was Miami's 3rd loss in its last four games (and 4th straight ATS loss). We'll take the Heat to bounce back, as it's 16-0 ATS away from home off 3+ ATS defeats, if the game was competitively-priced with a point spread of 6 points or less, and the Heat were not playing without rest. Take Miami. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-12-22 | Devils -109 v. Rangers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -109 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Devils over the New York Rangers. It was a short road trip that just concluded for the Rangers, but a very successful one. With victories over the Golden Knights in Vegas and the Avalanche in Denver, the Rangers beat two of the very best that the West has to offer. Now they return home to face two of the best in the East in the Devils (tonight) and Maple Leafs (Thursday) before heading out for three more on the road. The talented but young group from across the Hudson River looks like not only one of the best in the Conference, but in the entire League right now. With a goal scoring average of 3.70 and a goals-against of 2.33, the Devils have a scoring differential of 1.37, which is the second-best in the NHL (Boston @ 1.77). They just took care of business here at Madison Square Garden less than a month ago, beating the Rangers on that occasion by 5-3. The Devils are a remarkable 11-0 in their last 11 road games while New York is 2-8 in its last 10 vs. teams with a winning percentage above .600. Take New Jersey. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Bruins -140 v. Golden Knights | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 17 h 33 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Boston Bruins over the Vegas Golden Knights. What did the Bruins do after the Golden Knights broke their home win streak at 14 games? They shrugged it off and began a three-game road trip with a shutout victory in Colorado over the defending Stanley Cup Champions. But then they followed that up by going into Arizona and suffering one of the biggest upset losses in the league this season as the Coyotes triumphed 4-3. That brings us to the Vegas Strip and a huge revenge situation for Boston. The Bruins will try to avenge that home loss less than a week ago at T-Mobile Arena tonight against a very good Knights club. But the good news for the Bruins -- and bad news for Vegas -- is that Boston has not lost back-to-back games all season. And the Knights haven't exactly been tearing it up here lately. In their last four home games they are 1-3 and have scored a total of just six goals . That lone victory came here on Friday and Vegas needed overtime to beat the lowly Flyers. Boston is 6-2 in the last eight meetings. Take the Bruins. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Bucs v. 49ers OVER 37.5 | Top | 7-35 | Win | 100 | 67 h 18 m | Show |
At 4:25 pm, our selection is on the OVER in the Tampa Bay/San Francisco 49ers game. Prior to acquiring star running back, Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers' offense averaged just 20.3 ppg, their games averaged 35.1 ppg, and five of the six went Under the total. Now, since the trade, their offense is averaging 26.6 ppg, while their games have averaged 43.5 ppg, and four of the six have gone Over the total. So, while it's true that Tampa's last four games have been low-scoring, and have gone Under the total, Tom Brady's teams have gone Over the total 29-16 off back-to-back Unders, and 12-4 following 3+ Unders. Take the Bucs and 49ers Over the total. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Chiefs v. Broncos OVER 43.5 | Top | 34-28 | Win | 100 | 92 h 15 m | Show |
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the OVER in the Kansas City/Denver game. The Broncos have played their last 8 games under the total. But I'll look for a high-scoring game on Sunday, as NFL teams off 6+ Unders have gone Over the total 55.4% since 1980 if the O/U line was 47 or less points. Even better: the Broncos have gone Over 55-32 at home when the line ranged from 42.5 to 45.5 points. And the Chiefs have gone Over 13-5 their last 18 as a road favorite (and 70-47 Over their last 117 as a road favorite). Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Vikings v. Lions -2.5 | Top | 23-34 | Win | 100 | 100 h 24 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Detroit Lions minus the points over Minnesota. The Vikings come into this road game off 3 straight home games. And unrested road teams off 3 home games — including a SU/ATS win at home the previous week — have gone 67-96 ATS since 1980. That doesn't bode well for the Vikings here, at Ford Field. Detroit has quietly covered its last five games. And, at home this season, the Lions have outscored their foes 223-195, even though its opponents have included the likes of four current playoff teams (Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, Seahawks), as well as the Commanders and Packers. For the season, the Lions are 8-3 ATS, and have covered the spread by an average of 2.70 ppg (Minnesota has a negative point spread differential of -1.20). At home, Detroit's spread margin improves to +6.71, while Minnesota's road point spread differential is minus 0.30. The Lions lost a heartbreaker earlier this season, 28-24, but covered the number in defeat. And they've won the last 4 ATS vs. the Vikings. The revenge-minded team in this NFC North division rivalry which lost the season's earlier meeting has gone 26-13-2 ATS. Take Detroit. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Eagles v. Giants +7 | Top | 48-22 | Loss | -115 | 89 h 31 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the New York Giants + the points over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles come into this game off back to back high-scoring home wins. They defeated the Packers two weeks ago, 40-33. And they blew out Tennessee, 35-10, last week. But NFL road favorites have covered just 35.2% since 1980 off back to back home wins in which they scored more than 30 points. That doesn't bode well for Philly in this divisional game. Nor does the fact that the Giants are 63-40 ATS as an underdog vs. .700 (or better) foes. Take the New York Giants + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-11-22 | Jaguars +3.5 v. Titans | Top | 36-22 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Jacksonville Jaguars + the points over the Tennessee Titans. Both of these teams were blown out last week. The Jags lost by 26 to Detroit, while Tennessee lost by 25 to Philly. This is the first meeting of the season between these division rivals. They’ll also meet in the last week of the regular season. The Titans shut out Jacksonville, 20-0, in the previous meeting last season. And revenge-minded, road underdogs that were shut out in the previous meeting have gone 64-48 ATS in the regular season since 1980. That bodes well for the underdog Jaguars this afternoon. As does the fact that Tennessee is a horrible 34-54 ATS as a home favorite, priced from -3 to -12.5 points. Take the Jaguars + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
12-11-22 | Jets v. Bills OVER 43.5 | Top | 12-20 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 56 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the OVER in the Buffalo/New York Jets game. These two teams met earlier this season, and the Jets pulled off a huge upset, 20-17, and held the Bills to their season-low in points. That game went Under the total of 46 by 9 points. Today's number is lower, and the Over falls into a 113-69 Totals system of mine, which is the way we'll look here. Additionally, the Bills are 82-55 Over the total when priced as a favorite of -4 to -11 points, while the Jets have gone Over the total 67% since 1987 when playing a revenge-minded foe it upset earlier in the year. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | TCU v. SMU +12 | Top | 83-75 | Win | 100 | 16 h 13 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the SMU Mustangs + the points over TCU. The Mustangs enter tonight's Metroplex rivalry game off 3 SU/ATS losses. But we'll grab the points with SMU, as the Horned Frogs are a wallet-busting 53-91-3 ATS vs. foes off back to back ATS losses. And they're 10-31-1 ATS their last 42 vs. foes off ATS losses in their three previous games. Take SMU. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Central Arkansas v. Oral Roberts -15.5 | Top | 78-111 | Win | 100 | 14 h 13 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles minus the points over Central Arkansas. The Bears pulled off an upset win over Arkansas State, 72-67, on Tuesday. But I look for a letdown tonight. Central Arkansas has been a dreadful traveler of late, as it's 3-24 SU and 7-19-1 ATS on the road as an underdog. Even worse: Oral Roberts is 9-0 ATS its last nine vs. foes off an upset win. Lay the points with the Golden Eagles. |

12-10-22 | Hurricanes -138 v. Islanders | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 14 h 49 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Carolina Hurricanes over the New York Islanders. The Hurricanes must have felt pretty good when they came to Anaheim near the end of their current road trip on Tuesday. After all, Carolina had gone 3-0 with wins in Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and Los Angeles and now they were facing a Ducks team that was 6-17-3. But Anaheim pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season, beating the 'Canes 4-3 in overtime. That sent the 'Canes packing back to the east coast and tonight they play the Islanders in New York. The Isles come into tonight having just upset the Devils in New Jersey last night, 6-4. So now they play at home on zero days of rest which is the opposite of the Hurricanes who come in having had three days off. With Semyon Varlamov having gone in goal in the big win against New Jersey, the Isles will likely go with back-up Ilya Sorokin tonight. New York has lost each of Sorokin's last three starts vs. the Blues, Predators, and Flyers. Carolina is 13-5 in its last 18 games playing on three or more days of rest. Take the 'Canes. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Nevada v. Oregon -8 | Top | 65-78 | Win | 100 | 13 h 5 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Oregon Ducks minus the points over Nevada. Nevada's 8-2 on the season after an upset win at Pepperdine on Tuesday. The Ducks, meanwhile, come into this home game off 3 straight ATS wins, and are 5-3-1 ATS on the season. We'll lay the points with Oregon, as it's 10-0-1 ATS at home its last 11 if it was on a 3-game (or better) ATS win streak, and its opponent was off a SU win. Take the Ducks. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Kansas v. Missouri +3.5 | Top | 95-67 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 21 m | Show |
At 5:15 pm, our selection is on the Missouri Tigers + the points over Kansas. Both of these former conference rivals are off to great starts. The Jayhawks are 8-1, while Mizzou is unbeaten, at 9-0. Missouri's a home underdog today, even though its scoring margin (at +19.22) is 7 ppg better than Kansas' margin, and its point spread differential is 1.77 ppg better than Kansas' differential. We'll take the points with the Tigers, as undefeated teams, with a 7-0 (or better) record, have covered 83% since 1990 as home underdogs, if their scoring margin was better than their opponent's, and at least 18 ppg. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Georgia Tech v. North Carolina -13 | Top | 59-75 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
At 3:15 pm, our selection is on the North Carolina Tar Heels minus the points over Georgia Tech. The Heels have covered just once this season -- as a 12-point home favorite vs. James Madison -- and have dropped their last four games, SU/ATS. We'll lay the points with Hubert Davis' men, as North Carolina is 21-4 SU and 18-6-1 ATS as a favorite of -3 (or more) points off four (or more) ATS losses, including a perfect 7-0 SU/ATS at home vs. ACC Conference rivals. Lay the points with North Carolina. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Navy v. Army -1 | Top | 17-20 | Win | 100 | 152 h 22 m | Show |
At 3 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the Army Black Knights minus the points over Navy. The Midshipmen come into this game -- at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field -- off an upset win over Central Florida, 17-14, as a 14.5-point underdog. But that was just Navy's 4th win on the season (against 7 losses). They'll now face an Army team which is a red-hot 5-0 ATS its last five after blowing out UMass, 44-7. We'll lay the points with Army, as NCAA favorites (or PK) off 4 ATS wins have gone 79-42 ATS away from home in the regular season vs. foes that don't have a winning record (including 7-0 ATS the last 7). And if our red-hot team was playing a non-conference opponent, then our 79-42 record moves to a perfect 8-0 ATS. Take Army. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Kent State v. Cleveland State +9.5 | Top | 67-58 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland St Vikings + the points over Kent State. On Wednesday, Cleveland State's 6-game win streak (and 4-game ATS win streak) were halted in a 19-point blowout loss at St Bonaventure. We'll take the Vikings to bounce back, as they're 22-8 ATS off a point spread loss. Take the Vikings + the points. |
12-10-22 | Albany +19.5 v. Providence | Top | 55-93 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
At 2:30 pm, our selection is on the Albany Great Danes + the points over Providence. The Friars are an ugly 8-28 ATS when laying 17+ points, including 0-9 ATS their last nine vs. foes off back to back losses. Take Albany + the points. |
12-10-22 | Detroit v. Charlotte -8 | Top | 80-82 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 15 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte 49ers minus the points over Detroit. The 49ers are 7-2, but one of their two losses was against these Titans, on Nov. 23. Charlotte was buried by 21 points, as it shot a season-low 34%, and allowed a season-high 52%. With payback on its mind, we'll lay the points with the 49ers this afternoon. Charlotte is 44-32 ATS at home when playing with revenge, if it was off a SU win. And Detroit is 0-7 ATS its last 7 (and 2-16 ATS its last 18) as an underdog vs. a revenge-minded foe off a win. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-10-22 | Long Island +39.5 v. Connecticut | Top | 61-114 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
At 12:30 pm, our selection is on the Long Island Sharks + the points over Connecticut. Big East teams are a horrid 19-44-2 ATS off an ATS win when favored by more than 24 points, including 0-10-1 ATS their last 11 when playing a revenge-minded foe. Last year, UConn ran roughshod over the Sharks, in a 93-40 win. Take Long Island + the points. |
12-09-22 | Sharks -114 v. Ducks | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 21 h 30 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the San Jose Sharks over the Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim comes into tonight's game off a 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Unfortunately, the Ducks are 12-31 at home vs. division rivals, and 18-35 off a win (including 6-22 off a 1-goal win). And while it's true that San Jose's defense has sprung a leak, lately, with 17 goals surrendered over its last three games, the Sharks are also 5-1 after giving up 5+ goals in each of their three previous games. Take San Jose. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-09-22 | Washington v. Gonzaga -16 | Top | 60-77 | Win | 100 | 19 h 23 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Gonzaga Bulldogs minus the points over Washington. The Huskies come into this non-conference game off a 73-63 triumph over Pac-12 rival, Colorado. Gonzaga also won its previous game -- a 7-point win over Kent State -- but it failed to cover the spread for the fifth straight game. We'll fade the Huskies, as Gonzaga is 22-5-1 ATS at home vs. foes off a win by more than 8 points. And Washington is an awful 15-42-2 ATS vs. .500 (or better) foes off 3 (or more) ATS losses. Take Gonzaga. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
12-09-22 | Suns -1.5 v. Pelicans | Top | 117-128 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 2 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Phoenix Suns minus the points over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Suns were upset, 125-98, as a 2.5-point home favorite by Boston. The Suns are now a road favorite against New Orleans, which has overtaken Phoenix for the #1 spot in the Western Conference. We'll take the Suns to bounce back, as they're 6-0 ATS their last six; 10-1 ATS their last 11; and 30-13 ATS their last 43 off an upset loss. And when priced as a road favorite of less than four points, the Suns are 15-0 ATS their last 15 off an upset loss (and 21-2 ATS their last 23). Take the Suns. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-08-22 | Michigan -4 v. Minnesota | Top | 90-75 | Win | 100 | 14 h 48 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Michigan Wolverines minus the points over Minnesota. The Wolves come into this game off back to back losses to Virginia and Kentucky. We'll take Juwan Howard's men to bounce back here, as Michigan is 80-44 ATS off a SU loss, including 22-8 ATS away from home vs. an opponent also off a loss. Lay the points with Michigan. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-08-22 | Rockets v. Spurs +2.5 | Top | 109-118 | Win | 100 | 13 h 29 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Houston. The Spurs have had the last 3 days off to lick their wounds from their current 11-game losing streak. We'll take the Spurs as a home underdog, as well-rested NBA teams, playing with at least 3 days' of rest, have covered 63% since 1990 if they were on a 9-game (or worse) losing streak. Even better: the Rockets are an awful 24-53-2 ATS off an ATS win if they were playing a rested foe. Take San Antonio. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-08-22 | Senators v. Stars -175 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 13 h 26 m | Show |
At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Stars over the Ottawa Senators. The Stars come into this Thursday night match-up having lost two straight home games. The first one was frustrating enough as Dallas lost to the Wild, 6-5 in a shootout. But that was nothing compared to their loss to Toronto two nights later. In that one, the Stars put a whopping 44 shots on goal against the Leafs while facing only 28 but lost 4-0. They'll look to take out their frustration at home tonight against a Senators team that is just 10-14-1 on the season. Ottawa's offense has been a bit anemic on the road this season as the Sens have scored at a rate of just 2.64 GPG when playing away from their home ice. The Senators are 6-13 in their last 19 games overall and 10-21 in their last 31 against teams from the Central Division. The Stars, meanwhile, are 29-14 in their last 43 immediately following a home loss by three or more goals. And they're 31-12 off a home shutout loss. Finally, the home team has won 7 of the last 8 meetings. Take the Stars. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
12-07-22 | Merrimack +21 v. San Francisco | Top | 51-69 | Win | 100 | 14 h 50 m | Show |
At 10:30 pm, our selection is on the Merrimack Warriors + the points over San Francisco. The Dons are an ugly 107-150-8 ATS in non-conference games. And they're also 34-60-2 ATS at home vs. a foe off a loss. Take Merrimack + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-07-22 | Eastern Washington v. California -4 | Top | 50-48 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the California Golden Bears minus the points over Eastern Washington. We played against California a week ago in its Pac-12 opener, and got the $$$ with USC. That loss lowered Cal's record to 0-8. And it's now 0-9 following another conference defeat at Arizona. Tonight, the Bears will be playing out-of-conference vs. Eastern Washington. We'll lay the points, as the Eagles are a dreadful 23-41 ATS as an underdog of less than 9 points in non-conference games. Take California. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-07-22 | Denver +4 v. CS Sacramento | Top | 85-87 | Win | 100 | 13 h 19 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Pioneers + the points over Sacramento St. These two teams met in Denver last month, and the Hornets came away with a 73-69 upset win. Denver hasn't lost since, and will go for its 7th straight win tonight. The Hornets are 12-24-4 ATS as a single-digit favorite vs. a revenge-minded foe. Take Denver + the points. |
12-07-22 | Utah Valley v. BYU -8.5 | Top | 75-60 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the BYU Cougars minus the points over Utah Valley St. The Cougars are an awesome 39-16 ATS at home vs. non-conference foes, when priced as a favorite of -4.5 to -12.5 points. Take BYU. |
12-07-22 | Indiana State v. Southern Illinois -3.5 | Top | 74-71 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 22 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Southern Illinois Salukis minus the points over Indiana St. The Salukis have won 26 of the last 31 home games vs. Indiana State, including an 15-5 ATS ledger when not laying 11+ points. Take Southern Illinois minus the points. |
12-07-22 | Delaware State +18.5 v. Delaware | Top | 69-77 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Delaware State Hornets + the points over Delaware. The Blue Hens upset Davidson, 69-67, on Saturday. But off that upset win, we'll fade the Hens at home tonight. Delaware is a wallet-busting 42-59 ATS at home off a win, including 0-6 ATS its last six. And it's 11-25 ATS when laying 8 or more points against a foe off a SU loss. Take the Hornets. |
12-06-22 | Mavs v. Nuggets -4.5 | Top | 116-115 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 54 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs come into this road game off back to back blowout wins over New York (121-100) and Phoenix (130-111). Meanwhile, Denver was pounded, 121-106, by the New Orleans Pelicans. We'll take Nikola Jokic & Co. to bounce back, as NBA home favorites have covered 68% since 1991 if they were off a loss by 15+ points, and their opponent was off back to back 19-point (or greater) wins. Take Denver. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-06-22 | Sam Houston State v. Oklahoma State -10 | Top | 51-65 | Win | 100 | 14 h 50 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma St Cowboys minus the points over Sam Houston St. The Cowboys lost at UConn, 74-64, on Thursday, while the Bearkats blew out Dallas Christian, 111-58. We'll lay the points with Okie State, as it's 17-5 ATS as a favorite off a double-digit loss, if its foe was off a double-digit win. Take the Cowboys. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-06-22 | Green Bay v. Loyola-Chicago -19.5 | Top | 46-70 | Win | 100 | 13 h 51 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Loyola Chicago Ramblers minus the points over Wisconsin-Green Bay. Loyola will be looking to bounce back off its home upset loss to DePaul on Saturday. The good news is that Loyola has cashed 67% since 1990 at home off a home upset loss, when they were playing an opponent off a win. We played on the Phoenix yesterday, and were rewarded when they notched their first win of the season (and also covered) against IUPUI. But off that win, we'll fade Green Bay on the road vs. Loyola-Chi. The Phoenix are a wallet-breaking 1-6 ATS their last 7 as a double-digit dog. And they're 12-29-2 ATS as a dog of 3+ points, if they were off a win, and playing a foe off a loss. Take Loyola-Chicago to bounce back from its upset loss vs. DePaul. Lay the points. |
12-06-22 | Vermont v. Dartmouth +5 | Top | 68-52 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 51 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Dartmouth Big Green + the points over Vermont. The Big Green will be looking to snap a 13-game losing streak to Vermont, in this Twin State battle. And if their last two games (also, here at home) are any indication, they should get the upset win. Dartmouth comes into this game off a 25-point blowout of Cal State Bakersfield. And that followed a 58 point rout of NVU-Johnson. Dartmouth has covered the spread by an average of 5.25 ppg at home this season, while Vermont has failed to cover the spread by 7.3 ppg on the road. Take Dartmouth. |
12-05-22 | Kent State v. Gonzaga -15 | Top | 66-73 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 50 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Gonzaga Bulldogs minus the points over Kent State. After a whirlwind tour around the country, which saw Gonzaga play 7 games away from home -- many against the nation's Elite schools -- the Bulldogs return home to face the Golden Flashes in The Kennel. Gonzaga last played here, at home, in its season opening win (and cover) over North Florida. The Bulldogs' home win streak currently is at 69 games. And they're an awesome 13-0-1 ATS at home their last 14 (and 22-4-1 ATS their last 27) vs. foes off a 9-point (or greater) win. With Kent State in off an 83-68 victory over South Dakota St., we'll fade the Golden Flashes, and lay the points with the Bulldogs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
