Toronto catches a lot of points and has value against Memphis. They also have a home matchup with the Thunder looming, followed by a trip out west. Toronto is scrappy and they have given some top teams fits here in this building this season. Toronto has won 6 of 8 and they’re in the midst of playing some of their best basketball. Grab the points in this spot.

Detroit catches Cleveland in a good situational spot on Wednesday. Cleveland is off a hard fought loss to the Celtics on Tuesday and the quick turnaround is going to be tough for Cleveland here. Detroit is scrappy and they make opposing teams grind. They can score in flurries and they can put up points quickly. They’re off performances of 127 and 130 points in their last two games as they can keep up with this Cleveland offense. Detroit will keep this close and they’re going to run into a fatigued Cleveland side on Wednesday night.

Golden State is the move here, laying the points. This is a great spot to fade the Magic, who are in free fall mode right now. They have dropped 10 of their last 12 as they continue to struggle on both ends of the floor. Looking at an even bigger sample size, they have covered just 7 times in their last 23 games. This is a great spot to fade them against a Warriors team that can be very tough to guard. Sacramento has the value as they take on Minnesota. The Timberwolves are off a loss to the lowly Wizards last time out on Saturday as they struggled offensively. This is a game where they will have their issues keeping up with a very fast Kings side. Sacramento averages nearly 117 ppg and they love to play with so much speed. This tempo is going to be extremely high and we’ll see plenty of transition play from this Sacramento offense. Expect them to have Minnesota on their heels from the start in this game. Indiana has the value against the Hawks here. Atlanta has dropped 7 in a row and this has been an awful run by them was they haven’t had much going on either end of the floor. Los Angeles has value here against the Hornets. Melo Ball is injured once again and this Hornets team is thin and struggling once again. They just haven’t been able to keep pace with anyone and now their main source of offense is out. This doesn’t bode well against the Clippers, who have been blowing out bad teams. Portland has value against the Magic. The Trail Blazers have covered 6 straight games and they’ve been playing some of their best basketball as of late. They just blew Orlando out on the road and they’ve played even better at home overall this season to add to all this. Portland will go up against a Magic team that has failed to cover in 6 of their last 7 games and they’ve actually dropped 6 of their last 7 SU. Washington is the move here as this is a trap spot for LA. The Lakers were throttled by Phili last time out and now they have a quick turnaround with a lot of injuries. Davis is going to be out and Lebron James continues to be questionable. Even if he’s in, he won’t be at 100%. Washington is such a young team and this will be a game they get up for as they want to be able to beat one of the better teams in the league. Grab the points.

Los Angeles has the value here against the Spurs. Leonard will be off his minutes restriction and be at full go against the Spurs. San Antonio just won’t be able to keep up with the speed and talent this Clippers side has. They’ve been consistent all season long and they’re one of the best defensively as they give up under 107 ppg. San Antonio is still getting their feet back from their Paris trip and this will be a struggle for them against a very physical team. Lay the points with the road team in this spot as they have the edge on both ends of the floor.

The Nuggets are in a prime bounce back spot against the Knicks. Denver fell to the Bulls last time out and now they shift their focus to a good Knicks side. Houston is off a huge win last night in Boston at the buzzer as they’ve now taken down the Cavs twice and Celtics over the last week and some change. Atlanta’s defense is amongst the worst in the NBA, conceding nearly 119 ppg. The Rockets are rolling right now and they have put together a solid string of play thanks to their dominance on both ends of the floor. Atlanta is going to struggle to slow this team down as they have so many weapons that can come at defenses from many different angles. Lay the points here.

The Jazz welcome in the Bucks and this is a great spot to catch points on Utah. The Jazz may not have the best record, but this month they’ve at least battled and found some wins. A majority of their losses have also been close, as they’ve been in a lot of their games. Utah is a young team and they’re at their best when they can utilize their speed to get out and run. That’s going to be the game plan here as this team is still averaging around 112 ppg and they can score in flurries. Boston welcomes in the surprising Rockets on Monday and we’re grabbing Boston here to send a message. Houston has opened a lot of eyes with their signature wins over Cleveland, but have to immediately flip the script here a couple days later heading into a difficult Boston side. The Celtics return home after a tough road trip that saw them go 3-1 as they played extremely well. They have continued to be one of the best defensive teams in the NBA at times as they have shut down some of the top teams. This will be a game where they come out with a lot of intensity and force the Rockets into some difficult shots. Lay the points here as Boston will want to send a message to one of the best teams in the league right now.

Cleveland is in a huge bounce back spot against Houston on Saturday. Cleveland has dropped back to back games, which included the loss at Houston this week where Garland missed two free throws late. Cleveland fell in Phili on Friday, as they may have had one eye on this revenge spot. Cleveland has been absolutely dominate at home as they’ve dropped just 2 games so far here. They’re a force in this building and this offense is going to get out early. Look for them to push the tempo on Houston as they’re at their best when they can run and gun. The Nuggets and Twolves meet on Saturday afternoon and this is a great spot on Denver. The Nuggets have won 4 straight and they’ve been on a nice hot streak as of late. They have gone 12-3 both SU and ATS in their last 15 games overall as they’re dominating teams. This is a low number and Denver doesn’t particularly fare well as a home underdog. The Nuggets right now are going to impose their will offensively and it’ll result in them producing a lot of open looks at the rim and from beyond the arc. Portland is playing their best basketball right now and they have value here grabbing points. They came away with another win on the road as they took down the Magic last night. They’re dominating on the defensive end and gave up just 79 points in the win. They’re going to come out with the same mentality and really put the pressure on these opposing shooters. Charlotte is incredibly inconsistent offensively and this will be a tough spot for them. Back Portland.

The Trail Blazers are the move here. Orlando is skidding and slumping and right now they’re just too hard to trust. They come in 2-5 in their last 7 games and at home things have been a struggle for bettors. They’re just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games at home and it’s been a struggle on both ends of the floor. The Trail Blazers are playing some good ball themselves too, which adds to this value. Portland is 3 games over .500 ATS as a road underdog and they 6-3 ATS against the East. Cleveland and Houston meet on Wednesday and we’re on the Rockets. Houston continues to be one of those teams that are flying under the radar as they sit 14 games over .500. This is a chance for them to come out and make a statement on Wednesday as well. Houston has been one of the best defensive teams in the league, as they give up just 107 ppg too. They are going to shut down these Cavs shooters and force the game to slow down. They’ll have the Cavs out of their quick rhythm and turn this into a grind. Back Houston.

Minnesota and Dallas battle and it’s the Twolves with value. Both teams have dealt with injuries all season long, but the Timberwolves have been able to weather the storm much more. Minnesota already knocked off the Mavs on Christmas Day and this team is starting to get bench players to step up as of late. Rookie, Rob Dillingham, has been one in particular and this will be a good matchup for him to keep things going. Dallas is struggling as a whole on both ends of the floor and this Minnesota team will run on them on Wednesday night. Grab the visitors.

Washington has value catching points. This is too high of a spread and the Wizards are being undervalued a bit in this spot. Washington has covered 3 of their last 4 overall and they’re playing some top teams close. Anthony Davis also remains questionable with his calf injury as the Lakers just can’t stay healthy. The Lakers will overlook this game a bit and that can allow the Wizards to keep this one close. Washington’s speed will allow them to find some easy transition buckets and keep this game close.

Cleveland welcomes in Phoenix for an afternoon game and this is a great spot on the Cavs. Phoenix has been abysmal on the road as they have gone 4-8 ATS in their last 12 road games. Combine that with them being just 3-13-1 ATS vs the Eastern Conference and this is a spot where they’re going to struggle mightily. They’re at the tail end of a long East coast road trip as well, which will have them having one eye on getting back home. It’s the battle in LA as the Clippers and Lakers meet on Sunday. We’re on the Clippers as they’re just playing better overall right now. They come in winners of 3 straight games and they’ve held the opposition to under 100 points in all 3. That’s been the key for them as defensively they’re forcing a ton of tough shots and suffocating opposing shooters. The Lakers have struggled at times offensively and their inconsistency is why they will have a ton of issues against this Clippers defense. This is a good number to lay with the better overall team.

The Mavs are the move here as they take on the Pelicans. This is a great bounce back spot on Dallas, who comes in after losing in Denver last night. Oklahoma City and Cleveland matchup on Wednesday as these two teams sit at the top of their leagues. The value sits with the Thunder here as this will be a measuring stick for both teams. Oklahoma City’s defense is going to be the best that the Cavs have seen, as they allow nothing easy. Cleveland’s shooting has been top notch, but the Thunder are going to shut those down. This game will turn into a grind and that favors the Thunder who will have the Cavs off rhythm.

They can frustrate this Phili side, that has been extremely inconsistent and drama filled all season long. They’ll focus on Paul George here and make the supporting cast try and beat them. Houston is lucky to be here after they needed a frantic late comeback and were on the beneficial end of a questionable foul call against the Warriors. That won’t bode well against a Cleveland team that is lighting up the scoreboard right now. They can beat teams inside with Mobley and Allen, while they have a compliment of outside threats. Boston and Milwaukee meet on Friday and this is a great spot on the Celtics. Boston has won 9 of 10 and 6 of those wins have come by at least 9 points. They’re dealing with injuries and they just haven’t had much in terms of defensive success. Boston will pick apart their defense and create a lot of open shooting lanes for their outside threats. The Nets have value here against Phoenix on Wednesday night. Brooklyn is playing top teams very well this year and they continue to cause teams a lot of issues on both ends of the floor. The bench is coming in with the likes of Bobby Portis and Gary Trent Jr. who are putting up double digits consistently. That’s the biggest key for this team is the supporting cast has to produce. The Lakers have value here as they have a good situational edge against the Magic. Los Angeles will catch the Magic in the 2nd leg of their back to back as they were beaten by the Clippers last night. Orlando has gone through spurts where they struggle to score and their issues continued last night against the Clippers. They’re running into a hot Lakers team that will impose their will in the paint on both ends of the floor. The Clippers have won back to back games and they have value laying the small number. Los Angeles put together solid performances against Utah and Golden State as they’re starting to figure some things out. Norman Powell has stepped up tremendously and Harden continues to find his groove as this team is leaning on its stars to continue to produce. They take on a Magic team that is hot right now but situationally this is a tough spot. With the Lakers looming tomorrow, they’re going to struggle as they finish off this west coast swing. The Rockets have value against the Pacers on Wednesday night. Indiana has just been far too inconsistent to trust. They’ve struggled so far to find any sort of offensive firepower and defensively they’re a mess once again. The Rockets have a lot of depth and it’s becoming apparent that this team may have found something. Oklahoma City is in a full bounce back spot as they take on Portland on Wednesday. OKC just couldn’t get over the hump as the Spurs held them down defensively all game long. They haven’t allowed losses to pile up and this team matches up very well with Portland. The Trail Blazers have won 3 in a row, but this team still has a ton of flaws. They’re a struggle defensively and Oklahoma City is going to push the tempo on them. This will be a game where the Thunder dictate the pace and control the paint both inside and out. The Lakers return home and right now they’re rolling. With 5 straight wins they’re putting together quite the start to their campaign and they look refreshed out of the gates. They’ve scored over 120 3 different times during this win and they’re getting a lot of production from the supporting cast. Being able to give James and Davis rest has been crucial and they’re finding a lot of different scorers both inside and out. They’ll pick apart this Jazz defense, as they’ve just struggled as a team overall. They’ve dropped 3 of their last 4 and defensively they’re not getting any key stops. The advantage is with the Lakers in this spot.

The Bucks take on the Rockets on Monday and this is a good spot for Milwaukee. Milwaukee fell by one last time out, but they’ve still cashed in 2 of their last 3 as they’re starting to figure things out even with key injuries. They’re playing with a ton of speed and it’s finally starting to look like the Bucks of old that likes to get out and run. They’re going to pick up the tempo on the Rockets and force them on their heels in transition. This will be a game the Bucks control and dictate the pace and they will be able to expose the youth in this Rockets side. There’s good value with the Bucks at home in this one on Monday night.

The Bulls and Pistons meet and Chicago has the value here grabbing points. Detroit has been much better than anticipated, but they’re still being overrated in this spot against Chicago. The Bulls have played some good teams tough and they’re getting a ton of offensive production. We’ve seen them score above 120 points on numerous occasions and they can put this Pistons defense on edge Monday. Detroit has won 3 of 4, but they have played a softer schedule compared to other teams so far. They’re going to have some regression from this start and going up against a fast Bulls team will cause some issues for them. Minnesota and Phoenix clash on Sunday and this is a good spot on the Twolves here. Minnesota comes in off a huge win over the Kings as they continue to try and figure things out. This is a good spot to carry the momentum into play as they matchup well with the Suns. Minnesota is at their best when they can pick up the pace. This will be a game they push the tempo and force the Suns out of their comfort zone. Phoenix scored just 83 points last time out and they’ve dropped back to back games as they’re struggling to find offense. We’re getting good value in this spot on Minnesota.

Washington catches a lot of points against the Hawks on Friday as these two teams square off in the NBA Cup. Washington and Atlanta met in a home and home already and it was Washington that took both games. The Hawks are just 4-8 ATS and 1-6 ATS at home coming into play on Friday. Washington has the confidence against this Hawks team that lacks a lot of defensive discipline. They’re going to have their hands full with Washington’s speed and ability to attack the rim. They just dropped 130 against the Spurs as they’ve shown they can score in flurries. This is a good spot and number on the Wizards who will keep it close.

Detroit heads north to take on the Raptors and we’re getting good value on the Pistons at this number. Toronto is just 2-10 and they’ve dropped 5 in a row coming into play on Friday. They’re just a debacle on both ends of the floor as they don’t have the depth or playmakers at the top to make a difference. The Pistons are 5-8, but they’ve shown some solid signs throughout the early portion of this season. They’ve competed with some of the top teams down to the wire and they’re getting some good offensive production from their young guys. This is a matchup where they’re the better team and will dictate the pace of this game. Grab Detroit.

Orlando and Indiana have become very familiar with each other as they meet on Wednesday night. This will be the 3rd meeting with the teams splitting the first two games. Orlando has won 3 straight and they’re coming up big defensively. They’ve held the opposition to under 100 points in all 3 wins and they’re getting huge stops in transition. They’re forcing the opposition to make tough decisions in the paint and they are one of the best at closing out on shooters. Indiana has been extremely inconsistent and that’s going to be a struggle for them against this aggressive defense. Grab the Magic in this spot.

The Suns meet with the Jazz on Tuesday and this is a great spot on the Suns, laying the points. Phoenix will be without Durant here, but that doesn’t remove any value as the line shrinks. Devin Booker has been able to carry the load when Durant is out and that’s going to be the case here. This will be a game where Phoenix can pick apart this Jazz defense as they rank near the bottom in many defensive categories. Their struggles come from allowing a lot of easy looks in transition and they’ll have issues with how quick the Suns play. Expect a lot of open looks and shooting lanes for Phoenix, who is off to a fast 8-2 start. Back the Suns.

The Celtics and Hawks open NBA Cup play on Tuesday night and Boston has good value. Boston will catch an Atlanta team that has just struggled extremely overall. They come in losers in 3 of 4 and they’ve gave up at least 122 points in all 3 losses. That doesn’t bode well for them as they take on a really good and deep Boston side. The Celtics are off to a fast start again and they’re doing it on both ends of the floor. The Celtics are going to impose their will on both ends of the floor and it’ll start with them dominating the paint. Shooting lanes will open and Boston is one of the best teams at creating open shots. This is a complete mismatch.

The Rockets have good value here in this spot against the Wizards. Houston has started 6-4 and they’ve won 3 of 4 as they’re playing with a ton of confidence right now. They are coming up with key stops defensively and they’re winning the battle in the paint on both ends of the floor. Washington is an ultimate fade as they’re just going to be in store for a long season. They’ve been far too inconsistent and they haven’t been able to produce scoring in the offensive end when they need it the most. Houston is going to dominate defensively and overwhelm the Wizards in this spot. Grab Houston.

The Grizzlies have been a bit of a surprise out of the gates and they have value here laying a point on the road in Portland. Memphis comes in 6-4 and they’ve done it with speed and scoring. In their 3 wins this month, they’ve put up 124,131, and 128 points. Their ability to get out and run and find open shooting lanes has been top notch as of late. They’re getting production top to bottom from this lineup and they’re riding a hot Jaren Jackson Jr. who is scoring 22.0 ppg. He dropped 39 last time out and right now he’s the igniter to this lineup. Portland has struggled mighty defensively and it’s led them to having issues slowing teams down in the transition game. This is a good spot for Memphis.

Indiana and New York meet on Sunday and this is a good spot for the Pacers. New York just can’t find any consistency to start the season. They’ve shown some solid signs and bright spots, but then other times it’s been an absolute debacle for them. They’ve had issues on the road in particular when it comes to scoring defense as they’ve been torched at times in transition. Indiana is a team that likes to get out and run and that’s going to be the case here. The Pacers this year have put up some big offensive numbers and it’s been solid for them when they can get out and run. That’s the game plan here as they’ll turn this into a track meet and put the Knicks on their heels all game long. Grab Indiana.

The Lakers have the value against the 76ers, who are just a debacle right now. Los Angeles comes in 4-4, while the 76ers have just 1 win in the year. They’ve dropped 4 in a row and it’s been a debacle for them on both ends of the floor. Philadelphia fell to the Clippers 110-98 last time out as this team just can’t find any sort of rhythm. Defensively, this is going to be such a tough matchup for them as LA can really be physical in the paint. The lack of a presence in the paint with Embiid out is a huge loss for the 76ers and that’s going to be the difference Friday. The Lakers will impose their will and control the paint on both ends of the floor in a game that is played to their pace and liking. Lay the points and continue to fade the 76ers.

The Thunder take on the Rockets and this is a good spot for the Thunder at home. Oklahoma City hasn’t messed around at all this season, winning 7 of their first 8 games and they’ve done it with stellar defense. Despite losing for the first time last time out, they held the opposition to just 92 and 86 points in their preview two wins. They’re putting an emphasis on closing out on shooters and not allowing much on the offensive glass. They’re going to do that against a Houston team, that has a lot of youth. They are a streaky team and this is just too tough of a matchup for them. Look for Oklahoma City to dictate the pace and control this game from the start. They’re the far better team and are just simply too powerful for the Rockets. Lay the points.

The Warriors and Cavs meet in Cleveland on Friday night and we’re on the Warriors with the points. Cleveland remains the last unbeaten as they’ve started this season off on a tear. This is too many points though to give to a really good Warriors team. Golden State is proving they are going to be legit contenders as they sit at 7-1 and come in off a very impressive win on the road against Boston. Golden State got contributions from so many different players, which includes Curry and Wiggins who led the way. Golden State can shoot the 3 as good as anyone and they push the tempo on teams. This will be a good matchup with it potentially coming down to the wire. Grab the points.

The 76ers will head into LA on Wednesday as Paul George will meet with his former team in this matchup. This is a good spot for the 76ers, who have to get things on track. While they await Embiid to now come back from his suspension, George will have to be the one to carry the load. He comes in off a 15 point performance against the Suns and for the first time in a while here, Phili looked like a competent team despite the loss. They matchup well with the Clippers, who have had a lot of defensive issues so far this year. Look for a motivated 76ers team that will come out and push the ball in transition. The Rockets welcome in the Spurs on Wednesday and were on the Rockets in this spot. Houston has caught some fire, winning 3 in a row which includes a win over this Spurs team. This will be the third time these two teams are meeting this year already and Houston is the hotter of the two. Fresh off a win over Knicks, Houston has looked good on the defensive end. They held the Knicks to under 100 points and they have been overwhelming teams with their ability to win the battle in the paint. This will be another game where their big men take over, which includes Sengun who has been stellar to start the campaign. Averaging 16.4 ppg, he’s been solid all around and a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Grab Houston.

Philadelphia +7.5

The 76ers and Suns meet on Monday in Phoenix and there’s value with the 76ers grabbing the points. Philadelphia has struggled, but this team is far better than what their record indicates. They’ve been playing without their two stars, but Paul George is now listed as questionable for the game. George will make this team completely different if he plays as it adds another weapons on both ends of the floor. The Suns are the kind of team that Phili will matchup well with. They’re 5-1, but they are streaky at times and the 76ers should have a lot of success on the defensive end against them. This will be a game that turns into a grind and should be close throughout. With this many points and the possibility of George playing, there’s value with the 76ers in this spot.

Sacramento and Miami meet on Monday and there’s good value on the Kings here. The Kings are such a difficult team to deal with as they love to play with a ton of pace and push the tempo against teams. They lean on DeRozan, who has scored at least 20 points in all 6 of the Kings games. They tend to go when he goes and the cast around him has been solid as they have a ton of playmakers both inside and out. They’re going to cause a lot of issues on Monday for Miami, who has had some issues on the defensive side. This will be a game where the Kings have the Heat out of their comfort zone in terms of pace and it should have them on their heels all night long. This is a good situational spot on the Kings, who are the better team and deeper team. Grab the points.

The Bucks and Cavs will play the 2nd leg of their home and home as the matchup shifts to Cleveland. This is too many points in this spot as Milwaukee is being undervalued. The Cavs won Saturday on a last second shot by Mitchell, in a game that was back and forth all night long. This is a game where Milwaukee will have that revenge factor, but also they’re right there with Cleveland talent wise. Milwaukee is a deep team and they have a lot of weapons inside and out. The stumbling out of the gate for them is rare as they’re going to come out here with a lot of motivation after Saturday. The Nets take on the Pistons Sunday and this is a low line here. The value is with Brooklyn as the Pistons are going to be a struggle all season long. Detroit comes in just 1-5 and the latest was a 30 point loss to the Knicks. Their struggles have come on both ends of the floor and this is a game where they will struggle with the Nets ability to attack. Brooklyn has won 2 straight and they’ve dropped 119 and 120 in both wins. Right now, this offense is rolling and they have made things so difficult for opposing defenses when it comes to their speed. This Pistons team has a ton of youth and they’re going to struggle with the pace here. This is a good spot for the Nets to get out in transition and have the Pistons on their heels defensively. Grab Brooklyn and lay the small number.

Sunday 7* NBA ATS Play

Celtics -10.5

The Celtics and Hornets are right back at it against each other as they will play the 2nd leg of a back to back. Boston took Friday’s matchup by 15 points as they put up 124 in the win. This Celtics team is just too powerful and better overall on both ends of the floor than the Hornets. Charlotte just couldn’t get stops defensively and they constantly had the Celtics at the free throw line. The issues stemmed from Boston dominating the paint and Charlotte just had no answer whatsoever. That’s going to be the game plan once again as Boston will look inside and attack the rim in transition. The length and physicality of this Boston team is just too much in this spot. Charlotte will go down early and after losing last night, their confidence and momentum aren’t there. Lay the points as Boston is just the better team overall.

Saturday 7* NBA ATS Play

Kings -6

The Kings have value here against a Hawks team that has been just abysmal defensively. After winning their opening two games, Atlanta’s season turned for the worst fast as injuries derailed them and they’ve dropped 3 in a row. The Hawks have allowed nearly 124 points per game and that doesn’t bode well against this offense from the Kings. Sacramento plays with a ton of speed and they have a ton of scorers inside and out. That’s not going to bode well for a Hawks as the Kings will push the tempo all game long. Sacramento has found their footing and won back to back games, carrying momentum into this one. Look for the Kings to dictate everything and have the Hawks on their heels from the opening tip. Grab the visitors.
