The Suns are favored by 3 tonight on the road vs. the Warriors, and the Suns catch the Warriors on a little bit of a hot streak, winners of 3 in a row and last game out a nice win over the Rockets on Christmas Day.  For Phoenix they come into this one losers of seven in a row, however they looked really good last game out vs. the Nuggets losing 113-111. The Rockets have a lot of value on Wednesday when they head into Golden State.

Normally, Golden State on Christmas Day is always a treat. However, things are far from normal this year for the once powerhouse. 

With Durant leaving and both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson injured, they simply do not have the same power they once held. Now, they have to deal with a red hot Rockets team that is one of the best on the offensive side of the ball.

Houston puts up 120.2 points per game and they simply cannot keep up here with them. The Rockets move so quickly and Golden State just doesn't have the tools or weapons to keep up. Expect them to really struggle here to slow Harden and company down in a game that should be come very lopsided.

This is a nice fade, especially taking a Dallas team that is 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS on the road. They are particularly deep to go along with their ability to play one of the best inside out games.

Miami Heat -4.5

The Heat have value laying the points on the road here. 

Cleveland has actually surprised a few people as they've been very competitive early on this season. However, they do not match up with the Heat at all. 

Miami comes in a solid 7-3 on the season and this team has been a pain for opponents on both sides of the ball. The Heat are averaging 112 points per game and have a lot of weapons that cause issues. They have shown the ability to control the paint, as well as shoot the 3 ball. They're a handful and will give Cleveland a lot of issues on Thursday.

Look for the Cavs to struggle finding open lanes and shots, given how well Miami has been at closing out on shooters.

The Knicks are a tough team to back, but this is going to be a very big test for them on Tuesday.

New York was trounced by Cleveland so bad at home on Sunday, that owner James Dolan made the front office address the media after the game. Whenever that happens, it has to be a wake up call for everyone involved.

New York takes on a Bulls team that comes in just 3-7 on the season. Chicago has had it's issues on both ends of the floor getting outscored on average 110-105. Look for them to catch a Knicks team that should have some anger and frustrations behind them. If they do, they'll come out firing and will have a chance to steal one here on the road.

The Clippers have value laying the big number on Monday night.

Toronto comes in on the 2nd leg of a back to back where they dominated the Lakers surprisingly. Toronto is completely shorthanded right now and it looks as if the Lakers severely overlooked them as they couldn't handle the 4th quarter pressure put on.

However, here the Clippers get the fatigue factor, as well as the back to back factor of being in LA. We've seen teams struggle for whatever reason when spending more than a night in LA and this is not ideal for the Raptors who are dealing with a lot of injuries. Look for the Clippers to run on them from the outset as they know they'll be tired and on their heels all night long.

Oklahoma Thunder +4.5

The Thunder have value grabbing points here. 

Oklahoma City dished away a pair of super stars this past offseason, but the young format of the team has been fighting early on in the season. 

The Thunder have one of the best defenses in the NBA, allowing just 100 points per game. They are a scrappy bunch that suffocates shooters and controls the paint on both ends of the floor. 

They catch a Spurs team here that is still trying to find their identity. They rank 16th in offense and 15th in defense, as they continue to experience some ups and downs. This is not a good matchup for them, having to deal with this kind of defense when they simply cannot get into any sort of rhythm yet.

Los Angeles Lakers -6.5

Lebron and company head into Chicago to take on the Bulls, having value laying the points here.

Chicago said it themselves as they took a few steps back in their recent loss to Indiana. The Bulls have struggled this season on both sides of the floor, but in particular the defensive end has been a mess. 

Chicago is giving up just too many easy looks at the rim, especially in transition. That is not a good sign for them having to deal with this Lakers offense. Look for LA to really push the tempo on them as the Bulls do not have the speed, nor intensity to keep up with this Lakers attack.

Boston -5.5

This is a real low line here for the Celtics on Tuesday when they head into Cleveland.

Boston has started the season off 4-1, while the Cavs come in just 2-4. This was as expected this season where the Cavaliers are going to go through a lot of growing pains and they're in a very low right now as their young guns are not playing well.

They are in fresh off a blowout loss at home to Dallas and now have to take on a Boston team that is fast and physical. Simply put, this is not a good matchup for them. Look for the Celtics to really put an emphasis on controlling the paint and closing out on these Cavaliers shooters that go through a lot of cold stretches.

The numbers are finally adjusting for this Warriors team, but this is still far too low for them on Monday.

Golden State is an absolute mess right now. The starting lineup features players you've never heard of and they just have struggled with injuries to too many key players.

Portland is not the ideal matchup at all for them. Portland loves to get out and run and will look to push the issue even more here. The Trail Blazers put up 114 points per game and love to work in transition. With the lack of a playmaker on this Warriors team right now, they will have their hands full all night long trying to slow Portland down.

The 76ers have value here on Saturday night in Portland. 

Philadelphia has started the season off in dominant fashion and they're doing it with a number of things. 

Starting on the defensive side of the ball, the pressure this team puts on opponents has been overwhelming. They come in allowing just 100 points per game and they continue to force turnovers and suffocate opposing shooters. 

The key for them has been slowing teams down that try to get out in transition. Philadelphia has the athleticism to play with any team this season. 

Offensively, they are putting up 112 points per game thus far. They're just so tough to slow down, given how many weapons they can come at you with.

Milwaukee comes into this one starting the season off up and down, but one thing for sure is this offense is simply tough to contain. 

The Bucks come in averaging nearly 120 points per game as their quick pace is always difficult to stop for opposing defenses. Milwaukee loves to get out and run as they have plenty of playmakers that can shoot the 3 and drive to the bucket. 

That will match up well here with Toronto, who has struggled with fast paced teams. While their offense has a lot to offer, defense is going to be the biggest struggle for Toronto as the season goes on.

The Spurs have a lot of value laying the points here on Friday.

Golden State's early season struggles have opened a lot of and now things have gone from bad to way worse. PG Steph Curry is now out with a broken hand and this team has a lot of issues to figure out. 

They were in the midst of a blowout loss to the Suns when it happened on Wednesday night and the offensive firepower that they had is long gone. Golden State has dropped 3 of their first 4 all by double digits 

San Antonio has been just the opposite. They have gone 3-0 and the offense has been clicking on all cylinders.

Indiana -7.5

The Pacers have value laying the points on Friday night. 

This is a revenge spot for Indiana, who went into Cleveland on their home opener and got knocked around in a loss. 

Now, the Pacers return home looking to get back on track. Fading Cleveland on the road is the main edge here. The Cavs are 2-0 at home, but, 0-2 on the road with losses to Orlando and Milwaukee. In both instances they were knocked around and this one should be no different. 

Over the recent seasons, the Pacers have been a tough team to crack at home. Cleveland has gone just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 here.

The Hawks and Heat meet once again as part of a home and home series. 

We had Miami in the first meeting as they covered the spread and now we'll flip and take the Hawks at home. For starters Atlanta is 2-0 ATS at home this season. It's a small sample size, but it's worth noting as they have come out and battled both times thus far in front of the home crowd. 

Along with that, situationally Miami has struggled here. Miami is 10-21-2 ATS over the last 2 seasons when coming in off a double digit win. To dig into that further, the Heat are only 4-13-2 ATS after a double digit home win.

Golden State -5

This line is certainly low when the Warriors welcome in the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. 

Golden State got in the win column as they blew the Pelicans out and got a lot of critics off their backs. 

Now, this line is still shifted a little low with the overreaction of the season and how it started. Golden State still has plenty of weapons to go around and they proved that in their first win over New Orleans. The Warriors matchup extremely well with a young Suns team that won't be able to keep up with the pace.

Look for them to really push the issue here and have the Suns scrambling on the defensive side all night long.

The Cavs have value grabbing points at home here against the Bulls.

Cleveland comes in just 1-2, but their lone win this season has come at home against Indiana. Cleveland played some inspired basketball last Saturday inside Rocket Mortgage Field House and this is a contest where they match up well with the Bulls.

Chicago, is just 1-3 and boasts one of the worst defenses thus far into the season. The Bulls are giving up 110 points per game as they really haven't been able to slow anyone down. Look for Cleveland to utilize their youth and really run on this Chicago team.

The Heat have value laying the points here on Tuesday. 

Miami has averaged over 120 points per game through their first 3 contests, going 2-1 in that span. The Heat are playing with a lot of pace and are getting out in transition, which has been the biggest key to success for them. 

To add value to them here, Jimmy Butler is set to make his Miami debut. 

Acquired this offseason, Butler is expected to add a lot on both ends of the floor and has been eager to get out there this season. Look for him to play a huge role on Tuesday for this Miami offense to even take things up a notch in terms of their pace and ability to get out and run.

Milwaukee -15

This is a big spread, but it isn't one to shy away from on Monday.

The Bucks welcome in Cleveland, who comes in off a win over the Pacers on Saturday. Cleveland was amped up with their home opener and took advantage of a Pacers team that really struggled all night long.

That won't be the case here with Milwaukee, who is going to come into this one with some fire underneath them. The Bucks blew a 21 point lead last time out and are certainly looking to get back out there and erase the memory. Simply put, they have way too much firepower and speed for this Cavs team to keep up with. 

Look for the Bucks to put their foot on the gas early and really run wild in transition on Cleveland.

The Magic have value grabbing the points here. 

Orlando is in a nice spot situationally. Last season they went 9-5 ATS in their 14 games where they were a road underdog of 5 points or less. 

On top of that, they have played well against good teams dating back to last season. When facing teams over .500, the Magic have gone 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 overall. 

Toronto is also in the midst of their 3rd game in 4 nights. With road games in Boston and Chicago prior to this, they certainly are going to have the fatigue factor set in. Look for this Magic team to try and get out and run on them, which will really wear them down as the game gets later and later.

The Rockets look to erase the bad memories of Opening Night here on Saturday when they welcome in the Pelicans. 

Houston led by as many as 17 points over the Bucks, but failed to protect the lead in the 2nd half. Now they look to rebound against a Pelicans team that is trying to erase some bad memories themselves. 

New Orleans saw Zion Williamson go down before the season and nearly pulled off a road upset in Toronto on Wednesday. However, this Rockets team is going to be too much for them. We saw the offensive firepower they bring with Harden and Westbrook side by side and it is simply going to be overwhelming for New Orleans. Look for Houston to come out firing, as they will get some frustrations out from that game 1 loss.

Los Angeles Lakers -3.5

The Lakers on a low spread here is a nice move for us on Friday night. 

The Lakers high hopes quickly were evaporated after the Clippers 4th quarter surge to defeat them on Opening Night. The hype that was there all off season is not brushed aside with Opening Night coming and going, which is what the Lakers needed. The attention will be off with the regular season now set to be in full swing and they can relax more. 

That is huge for them as they own two of the best in the game and can now focus on the road ahead. 

Here against Utah, they matchup extremely well. The Jazz struggle with the Thunder on Wednesday and the Lakers hold simply too many weapons for Utah to keep up with. Lebron James and Anthony Davis offensively should be able to get out and run on this Utah team, really putting them on their heels. 

Expect Los Angeles to try and work the transition game in more, as this team will be at its best when they can push the tempo on opponents.

Brooklyn Nets -9

The Nets have value laying the points Friday night. 

The Knicks played with the Spurs on Opening Night for 3 quarters before showing they have a lot of work to do. This young team was worn out and couldn't handle the physical play down the stretch in what was eventually a 9 point loss.

Now, they have to deal with the Nets who are looking to bounce back after an overtime loss to the Timberwovles. All was not bad for them as the offense was clicking on all cylinders with Kyrie Irving leading the way. The Nets are going to have too much firepower here for the Knicks to keep up with. 

Expect a quick paced game that the Nets try to get out and run in transition with, favoring them a lot.

Golden State +1.5

The Warriors have a new look to their roster this season, and Thursday night they're also opening their new arena.

With Durant departing and Thompson hurt, the Warriors have some gaps to fill. 

One gap that remains the same is Steph Curry. He will lead the charge for a Warriors team that will have a lot of emphasis on defense early on. 

Golden State will turn to a supporting case built with players acquired from around the league. They’ll work with D'Angelo Russell (formerly with Brooklyn), Glenn Robinson III (Detroit Pistons) and Marquese Chriss (Cleveland Cavaliers). The trio will play a huge part on both sides of the floor and will look to integrate into a new look offense as well.

Golden State will still be dangerous and have their weapons. With home court here, this is a game where they’ll come out with some fire and have an edge.

San Antonio -10

The New York Knicks offseason couldn't have gone any worse. 

The Knicks whiffed on every big free agent possible as Irving, Durant, and Leonard all went else where. The Knicks didn't even get the top pick which has them working with a very similar, inexperienced roster like last season that was absolutely abysmal. 

Now, they open the season against a hungry Spurs team that has a lot of tough weapons to deal with. DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge return with a talented cast around them combined with the signing of DeMarre Carroll has the Spurs with a lot of expectations. Look for San Antonio's offense to be extremely talented and incredibly hard to slow down, especially for this Knicks defense that struggled so much last season.

Minnesota +4

Minnesota has value grabbing the points here on Wednesday. 

The Brooklyn Nets made the biggest overhaul it seems as they signed both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant this past offseason. 

The Nets unloaded a few pieces to make room and will have to wait for Durant to return likely next season. In the meantime, it will be Irving's team here to start the season as there are still plenty of high hopes for the Nets. However, they are in a nice fade spot here as it will take some time for them to build that chemistry. 

As for Minnesota, they not only took both meetings last year, but this team's young core has continued to develop over the last few seasons together. Minnesota added pieces like Jordan Bell, Noah Vonleh and Jake Layman to a deep roster already that will be able to produce a lot on both sides of the ball.

The Magic have value laying the points at home on Opening Night Wednesday in Orlando. 

Cleveland is a team that will take a lot of work and time to get things figured out. This team is built with just a few vets and a bunch of young guys who will certainly take some time to develop. 

You're going to see them struggle mightily, especially early on while these new guys get acclimated to the league.

That is not a good trend for them here when they have to deal with an up and coming Orlando team. The Magic look to take the next step after they ended their 6 year absence from the playoffs last season. Orlando returns their top 6 scorers, including All-Star center Nikola Vucevic. Orlando is a deep team that will really give a lot of teams issues this year.

Golden State +2

The Warriors have their backs against the all big time here. 

Down 3-1, they are the only team in the NBA History to surrender that lead in an NBA Finals series. This series has been filled with a lot of weird play as Golden State has battled injury after injury. 

Now, Klay Thompson is back at full strength and we even take a shot that Kevin Durant could be back here. Golden State looks to throw everything they have at sending this series back to Oracle. 

Look for them to really have to put an emphasis on the defensive end. They have yet to slow this Raptors team down, which has ultimately put them behind early. The momentum can swing so quickly and with the entire Warriors staff potentially back, it only will take a little bit of a run to put some doubt in the Raptor's minds.

The Warriors have been beaten and battered all postseason long, but have value here at this number.

They gave it all they had in Game 3 with just Steph Curry in the lineup and couldn't overcome this high flying attack. Klay Thompson is expected to start on Friday, which should give them a boost that they need here.

With their backs against the wall for the first time all season really, we should see them really step up in a big way. Look for them to not only turn it up offensively, but to also push the pressure on the defensive side as they allowed way too many easy baskets in Game 3.

The Bucks enter 39-9 SU at home and they're outscoring the opposition at home by nearly 14 points per game.

Look for them to really pick things up here, as they got away from their style of play in Toronto, especially Game 4 that saw them really just get ran over in transition.

The Trail Blazers have value grabbing the points here.

Portland finds themselves down 3-0, as they couldn’t hold a first half lead in Game 3 on Saturday night. Now, they look to just keep the series alive as they have had their chances and shown they can compete with this Warriors team. 

Portland also had a huge lead in Game 2, in Golden State, that they Couldn’t hold onto late in the 2nd half. 

With this series and their season hanging by a thread, this is a case where Portland can play loose and freely. Look for them to push the tempo and really feed off the home crowd, as they have been one of the best teams in the NBA when it comes to playing at home. 

This has a chance to be close throughout, as Portland can steal this one and save their season for one more day.

This has been an odd series both ways. It has seemed that if a team is going to win, they’re likely going to win big.

With Toronto playing extremely well on their home court, the value sits with them here.

Before getting rocked in Game 6, Toronto had a 3-2 series lead thanks to their Game 5 performance at homes they’ve simply been dominant all season long in Toronto, as they feed off this home crowd.

Look for them to come out fast and put constant pressure on defensively. They’ve shown they can really fluster the 76ers and throw them off their game completely.

Game 7 should be quite the treat here with these two teams. 

Both Portland and Denver have just gone right at one another this series. It’s been a back and forth affair as we’ve just about everything.

This one is up for grabs. You can throw everything out the door here as both teams will be desperate with their seasons on the line. 

The value sits with Portland’s ability to push the tempo. They’ve been at their best when they can attack in transition and really work the ball inside out. If they can get into that rhythm here early, it could be a long night for Denver.

Golden State still sits with two of the best shooters in the NBA as Steph Curry and Klay Thompson certainly can carry the load. Combine that with the likes of Draymond Green and company this team has a lot of depth to work with still.

With Golden State still holding the momentum here too, they know the Rockets are in desperation mode playing an elimination game. Look for them to come out firing here and really try to force the Rockets into some nervous situations with their season on the line.

Golden State will still play fast and have plenty of weapons to attack both inside and out.

Denver sits one win away from the Western Conference Finals and have value catching points here.

Denver really took it to the Trail Blazers in Game 5 as they dominated in every which way. They attacked the lane and had all their shooters hitting from everywhere on the floor as they pulled away early in the first half. 

Now, they head back to Portland a place where they have proven they can win. 

The Nuggets offense is a lot to handle and Portland is proving they may not be able to slow them down. Look for the Nuggets to continue their pace and really push back the Trail Blazers here.

The Rockets have the Warriors on the ropes here.

Golden State has proven they can be beaten and the Rockets are taking advantage of every little break they get in this series.

Houston did their part and grabbed a pair of wins to even the series up heading back to Oracle. There’s been some clear signs of frustration from everyone on this Warriors team, as finally the supporting cast for James Harden has come alive.

Now, the pressure really shifts to Golden State, as this is a chance for Houston to really flip the script in the Western Conference. If the Rockets can continue to push the tempo offensively and close out on shooters defensively, as they did in Games 3 and 4, they have the opportunity to steal this one.

Look for this one to be close all night long, as grabbing the points has tremendous value.

The Bucks have value laying the points here in Game 5.

Milwaukee went into Boston and proved they are just too much for the Celtics to handle. Milwaukee beat them in every facet of the game, as they went right at them on both ends of the floor. 

With all the momentum here, the Bucks have a huge edge entering Wednesday. Look for them to really come out with aggression knowing this is their chance to just bury Boston and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Along with that, Boston is just simply all out of sorts. The confidence is gone from Kyrie Irving and they are just all out of sync. Look for them struggle here as their backs are against the wall against a team that is just too fast and too quick for them. 

Given that and the home edge, Milwaukee can really pull away in this one and put an end to the Celtics season.

The Raptors return home after stealing back home court advantage. 

Here, they have value laying the points. Philadelphia had the Raptors on the brink after grabbing a 2-1 lead in the series. However, they were unable to keep that momentum has they failed late down the stretch in a Game 4 loss.

Now, with the tides shifted, the Raptors can utilize their home court play. Toronto comes in 35-11 SU on the season as they simply play much better here. 

With all the momentum gone from Philadelphia after Game 4, this is a chance for Toronto to come out early with some fire and really bury them.

We backed the Spurs in Game 1 as playoff experience figured to be a huge factor in the early going. San Antonio has been a regular for the 20+ years in the postseason, while Denver ended a 5 year drought. 

With their feet wet even despite the Game 1 loss, now is the time for Denver to bounce back. The Nuggets were one of the best in the NBA at home and on the offensive side.

This team can hit you with so many weapons and with the nerves gone, this is a case where we should see Denver get back to their normal ways. Expect them to turn the tempo up and really get out in transition, giving them the edge. 

With that in mind, don’t sleep on this Denver team. A win here can steal all that momentum back as they have the talent to beat anyone.

The Raptors have value laying the points here in Game 2.

They were shell shocked in Game 1 as the Magic went right at them and eventually hit a game winning 3 with just 1 second to go to clinch a 1-0 lead. 

Things are far from over here and Toronto will certainly come out firing here. The Raptors went ice cold on the offensive end a few times in Game 1, something that has been rare for them. This will be case where the Raptors really turn up the pressure on both ends of the floor. Look for them to pick the pace up as they play well when things are back and forth.
