02-05-19 | Blackhawks v. Oilers -129 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -129 | 16 h 39 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Edmonton Oilers over Chicago. The Blackhawks have won four straight games. But they've been out-shot in those four wins, 149-129. And the Blackhawks have out-shot their opponent just once in their last 11 games, and have been out-shot, in the aggregate, by 8.3 shots per game (420-329). This season, Chicago's won just 10 of its 27 road games, and was shutout here in the last meeting, 4-0, on November 1st. The Oilers also won the other meeting this season -- in Chicago -- by a 2-1 score. The Blackhawks are an awful 27-50 when playing with revenge, including 4-16 (minus 10 games on the money line) their last 20 when playing with double revenge. And they're 6-18 off a road win. Meanwhile, the favorite in this series is 13-5 in the last 18 meetings. Take the Oilers. NHL Game of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-05-19 | Rider -6.5 v. Manhattan | Top | 66-73 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 37 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Rider Broncs minus the points over Manhattan. The Jaspers come into tonight's game off back to back wins over Fairfield and St Peters, while Rider was upset by Monmouth in its previous game. Unfortunately for the Jaspers, they're 0-11 ATS as underdogs of +5 or more points, if they were off a win, and their opponent was off an upset defeat. Additionally, the Broncs fall into a super 65-26 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off upset losses. Take Rider. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-04-19 | Bucks v. Nets +7.5 | Top | 113-94 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 22 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets + the points over Milwaukee. The Nets have been one of the pleasant surprises this season. After going 28-54 last season (and 15-26 at home), the Nets are off to a winning start (28-26) this season, and would be seeded 6th in the Eastern Conference, if the season ended today. Brooklyn did lose its last two games -- to the Spurs and Magic -- but both of those were on the road. Tonight's game is back in Brooklyn, where the Nets have quietly won nine straight games (6-3 ATS), and 13 of their last 14 (10-4 ATS). Among Brooklyn's victims in this 14-game stretch were Toronto, Boston, and the Lakers (before LeBron James sustained his injury). On Monday night, the Nets will try to make it 10-in-a-row at home when they welcome the league's #1 team to Barclays Center. It's true that the Bucks have won 3 straight games. But Milwaukee is a horrid 51-105-4 ATS off 3+ wins, when playing a rested opponent, including 5-25 ATS their last 30 when their foe was off back to back losses. Take Brooklyn. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-03-19 | Flames -115 v. Hurricanes | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 40 m | Show |
At 2:05 pm, our selection is on the Calgary Flames over the Carolina Hurricanes. Bill Peters coached the Hurricanes for the last four seasons without much success during that time. Now, in his first season as skipper of the Flames, Peters is poised to have a breakthrough season. The Flames looked a lot like the 'Canes last season, posting just 37 wins with Glen Gulutzan behind the bench for the second straight season. But now that Peters is in charge, Calgary is poised to win its first Division Title since the 2005-2006 season. The Flames have a commanding six point lead over the second place Sharks in the Pacific Division, although they come into this game having lost their last one on Friday night, 4-3, to the Caps. This will be the second meeting of the season for these two, as the Flames beat the 'Canes at home on January 22, 3-2 in OT. That loss to the Caps may bode well for the Flames tonight as they are 13-2 (+11 games on the money line) in their last 15 after allowing four or more goals in their previous game. Meanwhile, the Canes are 2-7 in their last nine vs. teams with a winning percentage above .600. Take Calgary. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | Blackhawks v. Wild -190 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -190 | 13 h 59 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Wild over the Chicago Blackhawks. For the second time this season, the Blackhawks are on a three game winning streak after exploding for seven goals on just 30 shots against the Sabres on Friday night. They've yet to win four in a row this season and in fact you have to go back to December of 2017 to find the last time the 'Hawks strung together more than three consecutive victories. The Blackhawks have beaten the Wild in the last two meetings, the last of which was at the end of December in Chicago when they pounded them, 5-2. But the Wild are 28-11 (+15 games on the money line) in their last 39 games when avenging a road loss by a margin of two or more goals. This has also been a very home-friendly series lately as the host has won each of the last four meetings. Even worse for Chicago: this will be the first time the Blackhawks have played on back-to-back days since January 6 and 7. And they are 6-20 in their last 26 games playing without rest. Take Minnesota. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | Western Michigan +9 v. Central Michigan | Top | 64-85 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Western Michigan Broncos + the points over Central Michigan. The Broncos were blown out at home, 93-67, as a 1-point underdog, last Saturday. But off that defeat, we'll take the points with them on the road this afternoon, as single-digit College Basketball road dogs have covered 67% since 1990 if they failed to cover the spread by 25+ points at home in their previous game, and their opponent is off an ATS win. Additionally, Western Michigan falls into a 195-127 ATS system of mine. Take the Broncos. MAC Game of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | East Tennessee State v. Chattanooga +9.5 | Top | 77-64 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 46 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Chattanooga Moccasins + the points over East Tennessee State. The Mocs have dropped their last 3 games, including an upset loss here, at home, to Western Carolina on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Bucs are on a 2-game SU/ATS win streak. This will be the season's 2nd meeting between these teams. They met earlier this season in Johnson City, and the Buccaneers blew out the Mocs by 26 points. But that defeat has triggered my very best revenge system, which is 130-50 ATS since 1990. Even better for Chattanooga: NCAA revenge-minded teams have cashed 65% at home over the past 29 years if they lost by 24+ points in the season's first meeting, and were off an upset loss in their previous game, while their opponent was off a SU/ATS win. Take Chattanooga + the points. Southern Conf. Game of the Month! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | Hofstra v. Northeastern -1.5 | Top | 61-75 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Northeastern Huskies minus the points over Hofstra. The Pride are 19-3 on the season, and have won 16 straight games, yet find themselves installed as an underdog for just the 4th time all season. And how did they do in their first three games this season when dressed up as an underdog? They lost all three, of course (so, they're 16-0 straight-up when favored this season). The Huskies come into this game with a 6-3 SU/ATS record inside the Colonial Athletic Ass'n. And they're 12-9 SU and 10-10 ATS, overall, this season. Since 1990, College teams on a 14-game (or better) win streak (like Hofstra) have covered just 35% when installed as an underdog vs. an opponent which doesn't have a losing ATS record. Take Northeastern to rout the Pride. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | UCLA +7.5 v. Washington | Top | 55-69 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 9 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the UCLA Bruins + the points over Washington. This series has been dominated by the Bruins, who have won eight of the past 10 meetings. And they've covered the spread in the last three, and nine of the last 12. UCLA also comes into this game off their two most impressive performances of the season. The Bruins blew out Arizona, 90-69, as a 2.5-point favorite last weekend, and then crushed Washington State, 87-67, as a 4.5-point favorite. That doesn't bode well for the Huskies, who have covered just 35% as home favorites in the last 29 years vs. conference foes off back to back SU/ATS wins, if the Huskies owned a winning conference record. Even worse: Washington falls into a negative 14-40 ATS system of mine which fades certain teams on 10-game (or better) win streaks. Take UCLA + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-02-19 | San Francisco v. St. Mary's -5 | Top | 80-86 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the St. Mary's Gaels minus the points over San Francisco. St. Mary's should be in an ornery mood tonight, as it comes into the game off an upset loss to the Pepperdine Waves. The Dons upended the Gaels, in San Francisco, earlier this season. But St. Mary's is a jaw-dropping 28-7 ATS as a favorite, priced from -3.5 to -12 points, when playing with revenge. And it also falls into a 74-35 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off upset losses. Take the Gaels minus the points. |
02-02-19 | Miami-FL +19 v. Virginia | Top | 46-56 | Win | 100 | 4 h 4 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Miami-Fla Hurricanes + the points over Virginia. We played against the Cavaliers on Tuesday, and got the $$$ with NC State as a 7-point road underdog. Here, of course, the Cavs are laying almost three times as many points to Miami, and we'll go against Virignia once again. The 'Canes are off four SU/ATS losses, including an 82-70 defeat to Virginia Tech on Wednesday. But Miami's a superb 53-20 ATS away from home, as a double-digit dog, if it didn't lose its previous game by more than 15 points. Take the Hurricanes. And it also falls into a 304-193 ATS system of mine. Take Miami. |
02-02-19 | UL - Lafayette +4 v. Coastal Carolina | Top | 79-96 | Loss | -109 | 4 h 1 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin' Cajuns plus the points over Coastal Carolina. We played against the Cajuns their last time out, as we took Appalachian St. +1 over Lafayette, and were rewarded with a 104-77 win. However, off that 27-point beat down, I look for La-Lafayette to rebound with an upset win of its own, this afternoon, as it falls into a 195-127 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off really bad losses. Moreover, the Cajuns are 7-0 ATS their last seven off a double-digit upset loss. Take Louisiana Lafayette + the points. |
02-02-19 | South Carolina v. Georgia -2 | Top | 86-80 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 5 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Georgia Bulldogs minus the points over South Carolina. The Bulldogs were blown out on the road, 70-60, by Arkansas, on Tuesday. However, Georgia is a super 45-24 ATS off a double-digit defeat on the road, including 9-2 ATS when priced from PK to -3. And it also falls into a 60% ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams that don't have a winning record. Take the Bulldogs. |
02-02-19 | Memphis +1.5 v. South Florida | Top | 78-84 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the Memphis Tigers over South Florida, as they fall into a 140-63 ATS system of mine. The Tigers dropped to 5-3 in AAC Conference play this past Wednesday when they were upset by Tulsa, 95-79. I look for the Tigers to rebound this afternoon, as they're an awesome 42-24-3 ATS off an upset loss, including 13-6-1 ATS on the road. Meanwhile, the Bulls check in off a 20-point win at East Carolina last Sunday. But they've covered just 14 of 43 conference games off a road win. Take Memphis. AAC Game of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-01-19 | Rockets v. Nuggets -4.5 | Top | 122-136 | Win | 100 | 30 h 15 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, on Friday, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets. (Analysis to follow.) |
02-01-19 | Blackhawks v. Sabres -150 | Top | 7-3 | Loss | -150 | 14 h 47 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Buffalo Sabres over the Chicago Blackhawks. At 25-19-6, the Sabres are treading water overall, but they have a very solid record here at KeyBank Center, going 14-6-3. It's true that the Blackhawks are riding a two-game win streak for the fifth time this season, with wins over two of the Metropolitan Division's best in the Capitals and Islanders. But only once this season were they able to stretch a 2-game win streak to three games. And Chicago's latest two wins have both come at home. To say the Hawks have struggled on the road this season would be an understatement. Chicago's 8-17 record away from United Center is the worst road ledger in the Western Conference, and those eight wins are tied for third fewest in the NHL. And Chicago's road record gets even worse when they play winning teams. The Hawks are 6-21 in their last 27 road games vs. teams with a home winning % of greater than .600. And they're also 6-16 (-12 games on the money line) in their last 22 when playing with three or more days of rest. Take the Sabres. Always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-31-19 | Cal Poly +7 v. UC Riverside | Top | 71-45 | Win | 100 | 18 h 11 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Cal Poly SLO Mustangs + the points over Cal Riverside. These two teams met just 8 days ago in San Luis Obispo, and the Highlanders upset the Mustangs, 74-51, as a 2.5-point underdog. I love Cal Poly to avenge that upset loss tonight, as it falls into several of my favorite systems, with records of 77-23, 41-8 and 187-89 ATS since 1990. Even better: Big West conference teams have cashed 90% of conference games since 1997 when playing with revenge from a 14-point (or worse) upset home defeat earlier in the season, if their opponent had a losing record inside the conference. With Riverside currently 2-4 in Big West play this season, we'll fade Riverside and grab the points with Cal Poly SLO. NCAA Game of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-31-19 | Nets v. Spurs -7.5 | Top | 114-117 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs minus the points over Brooklyn. The Spurs won on Tuesday night here, at home, vs. Phoenix. But coach Gregg Popovich wasn't pleased with the victory. After the game, he lambasted his team for its lackluster effort and said, "They out-played us, out-coached us, out-physicaled us, out-executed us....We had no respect for them or for the game. We didn't play with each other. It was a pathetic performance, and Phoenix got robbed." I expect the Spurs to give a much better effort tonight after that verbal spanking. It also won't hurt matters to get DeMar DeRozan, their leading scorer (21.5 ppg), back as he missed the last three games. San Antone is a fantastic 31-5 straight-up (including 15-0 the last 15 here at home) and 24-8-2 ATS vs. the Nets since March 6, 2003. And the Spurs are 64-28 ATS at home vs. winning Eastern conference foes that are not off a SU/ATS loss. Take San Antone. NBA High Roller Winner! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-31-19 | Flyers v. Bruins -205 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -205 | 15 h 15 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Boston Bruins over the Philadelphia Flyers. The Bruins went into the break having lost three of their last four games. The good news is that they came out of the break seemingly firing on all cylinders. They out-hit, out-shot, and out-played a good Winnipeg Jets team here at home on Tuesday. The only problem is -- they still lost in a shoot-out, 4-3. They're still only one point behind the Maple Leafs for second place in the division, so there's plenty of time to turn around their latest funk. They need to start with tonight's match-up against a Flyers team that they've dominated in recent years (22-8 in the last 30 meetings). And here at home, it's been even more lopsided with Boston taking 12 of the last 14 meetings. But they can't take the red-hot Flyers for granted. Philly has now won five straight despite being out-shot in all five victories, and despite a rash of injuries to key players, including their top two goal-tenders. Even worse for Philly: it's just 3-11 (-11 games on the money line) in its last 14 after scoring one goal or less in its previous game. And it's 39-63 after not allowing 2 or more goals in each of its two previous games. Take Boston. As always, good luck...Al McMordie |
01-30-19 | LSU v. Texas A&M +6 | Top | 72-57 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 47 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Texas A&M Aggies + the points over LSU. We had a big play on Texas A&M on Saturday vs. Kansas State, and were rewarded with a 65-53 upset win. That victory has triggered a very strong 104-43 ATS 'momentum' system of mine which plays on certain home dogs off wins. LSU has covered just 5 of its last 19 SEC games where it was a road favorite, including just one of 12 when it was priced from -2.5 to -6 points. Take Texas A&M + the points. |
01-30-19 | Fresno State v. Wyoming +12 | Top | 75-62 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Wyoming Cowboys + the points over Fresno State. Wyoming falls into 408-252 and 374-229 ATS systems of mine. Additionally, the Cowboys are a terrific 44-27 ATS as home underdogs, while Fresno is a poor 24-41-1 ATS as a conference road favorite. Take Wyoming. |
01-30-19 | SMU v. Wichita State -3 | Top | 83-85 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Wichita State Shockers minus the points over SMU. Wichita is having a down year, as it's 8-11. It's currently riding a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak. But we'll step in and take the Shockers as a small home favorite, as Wichita has covered 64% over the last 29 years at home vs. winning opponents, if Wichita was on a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak. Take the Shockers minus the points. |
01-30-19 | Missouri v. Auburn -14.5 | Top | 58-92 | Win | 100 | 14 h 20 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Auburn Tigers minus the points over Missouri. The Tigers are on a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak, including an upset loss at Mississippi State on Saturday. But i love Auburn to rebound tonight, at home, as SEC Conference home favorites are 57-33 ATS off 3 SU/ATS losses, including 29-11 ATS vs. SEC Conference foes off a loss. Take Auburn to blow out Missouri. SEC Game of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-19 | Illinois State +5 v. Drake | Top | 69-55 | Win | 100 | 14 h 53 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Illinois State Redbirds + the points over Drake. The Bulldogs upset Valparaiso, 70-59, in their last game. And that was the fourth straight win and cover for Drake. Unfortunately, though, for the Bulldogs, Missouri Valley Conference teams off a double-digit upset win, and 4 SU/ATS wins overall, have covered just 18% over the past 29 years. And Drake also falls into negative 49-128, 59-133 and 56-112 ATS systems of mine. Take the Redbirds + the points. MVC Game of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-19 | Richmond v. St. Louis -9.5 | Top | 84-81 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 48 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the St. Louis Billikens minus the points over Richmond. The Spiders are on a 4-game SU/ATS losing streak, including an upset home defeat to St. Bonaventure, on Saturday. And St. Louis is also on a losing streak, as it's lost its last two games to Davidson and Duquesne. Thus, something will have to give tonight. And we will back the home team, as double-digit Atlantic 10 home favorites have covered 60% of conference games over the past 29 years if they were off back to back SU/ATS losses, and their opponent was also off a loss. Even better: St. Louis is 9-0 ATS off back to back conference defeats. Take the Billikens to blow out Richmond. NCAA Roadkill Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-19 | West Virginia +12 v. Iowa State | Top | 68-93 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 45 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the West Virginia Mountaineers + the points over Iowa State. The Mountaineers fall into a 405-244 ATS system of mine, which plays on certain teams with losing records, as well as a 304-192 ATS angle. West Virginia has lost its last two games SU/ATS. But Big 12 Conference teams, off back to back SU/ATS losses, have gone 98-72 ATS as underdogs over the past 29 years vs. Conference foes with a winning SU/ATS record. Take the Mountaineers + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-19 | Marquette v. Butler -3 | Top | 76-58 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 17 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Butler Bulldogs minus the points over Marquette. The Bulldogs have owned Marquette over the years. They've won and covered five straight in the series, and are 11-1-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings, including 6-0 ATS here at home. It's true that Butler has lost its last 2 games SU/ATS. But it's 31-14 ATS at home off back to back ATS defeats. Take the Bulldogs minus the points. |
01-29-19 | Mississippi State v. Alabama -2 | Top | 79-83 | Win | 100 | 18 h 57 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Alabama minus the points over Mississippi State. The Tide has dominated the Bulldogs here in Tuscaloosa, with a 14-3 SU and 12-5 ATS record since 2001. That's one reason I favor 'Bama tonight. Another is that it lost at Baylor, 73-68, on Saturday. And the Crimson Tide has gone 42-21-5 ATS at home since 1990 off a loss, if it wasn't favored by 4 or more points. Take Alabama. |
01-29-19 | Wisconsin v. Nebraska -2 | Top | 62-51 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 27 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers minus the points over Wisconsin. The 'Huskers have been exceptionally strong at home over the years, and especially when favored by three points or less. Since 1990, the 'Huskers are 41-16 ATS. Even better for Nebraska: the Badgers are a poor 21-45 ATS as a Big 10 road dog of +6 or less points. Take Nebraska. |
01-29-19 | Wizards -7 v. Cavs | Top | 113-116 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 34 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards minus the points over Cleveland. Cleveland won at Chicago, 104-101, on Sunday, to snap its six-game losing streak, and improve to 10-41 on the season. One of the things I love to do is play against certain bad teams off wins, as they tend to not win back to back games. And tonight's situation is especially attractive, as the Wizards will be playing with revenge from a loss to these Cavaliers last month. Since 1995, NBA teams off a win, with a W/L percentage less than .200, have cashed just 33% against revenge-minded opponents. Take the Wizards to blow out Cleveland. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-19 | Toledo v. Miami-OH +3 | Top | 66-63 | Push | 0 | 16 h 28 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Miami-Ohio Red Hawks + the points over Toledo. These two teams met just 2 weeks ago in Toledo, and the Rockets won, 71-59, as an 8-point home favorite. The Red Hawks are a home dog tonight, and are also off 3 SU/ATS wins (all as an underdog). That bodes well for Miami, as Mid-American Conference home teams, off 3 SU/ATS wins, and playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season, have cashed 75% since 1990 when not favored by more than 5 points. Here, of course, Miami is an underdog. Take the points. |
01-29-19 | Virginia v. NC State +8 | Top | 66-65 | Win | 100 | 16 h 28 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the North Carolina State Wolfpack + the points over Virginia. This is a great match-up tonight between the 16-4 Wolfpack and the 18-1 Cavaliers. Virginia's covered the point spread in each of its last 10 games. But this will be a tough spot to get #11 in a row, as Virginia is playing the 2nd of back to back road games. And College Basketball teams off 10+ ATS wins are a soft 29% ATS the past 29 years if they were playing the 2nd of back-to-back road games. Take the Wolfpack + the points. |
01-29-19 | Tennessee v. South Carolina +9 | Top | 92-70 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 59 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the South Carolina Gamecocks + the points over Tennessee. The #1-ranked Volunteers have reeled off 15 straight wins, including an 83-66 blowout of WVU on Saturday. Unfortunately for Tennessee, NCAA basketball teams off 14 straight wins, and a win by 14+ points in their previous game, have cashed just 35.2% since 1990 as road favorites vs. foes off a SU loss. Take South Carolina. |
01-28-19 | TCU v. Texas Tech -5 | Top | 65-84 | Win | 100 | 9 h 0 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Texas Tech Red Raiders minus the points over TCU. This is a great match-up tonight between two teams that have each lost just four times this season. The key factor, though, will be Texas Tech's home court. The Horned Frogs have played three road games this season as an underdog, and they've yet to win straight-up. Indeed, since 2015, the Horned Frogs are 1-20 straight-up, and 3-16-2 ATS when priced as a road underdog of +4 to +11 points. That doesn't bode well for them tonight in Lubbock, where the Red Raiders rarely lose. Texas Tech is 59-8 straight-up and 27-20-2 ATS at home since Feb. 28, 2015, including 17-9-1 ATS off a straight-up win. The Red Raiders also fall into a 148-66 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home favorites with winning records. Lay the points with the Red Raiders. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-28-19 | Nets v. Celtics -10 | Top | 104-112 | Loss | -109 | 16 h 27 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Brooklyn. The Celtics had their five-game win streak snapped on Saturday by Golden State. Of course, nobody's defeated the Warriors for 3 1-2 weeks, so there was no great shame in losing that game. Tonight, Boston will look to avenge a defeat suffered to Brooklyn two weeks ago. I believe it will, as Boston is a perfect 12-0 ATS at home vs. division rivals, if Boston wasn't favored by more than 13 points. Additionally, Boston's 28-15 ATS when playing with revenge, including a perfect 7-0 ATS vs. division rivals. And it's a super 49-22 ATS off a home loss when matched up against division foes off an ATS win. Finally, the Celtics fall into 135-66, 42-12 ATS revenge systems of mine. Take Boston. NBA Division Game of the Month! Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-28-19 | Jets -130 v. Flyers | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -130 | 16 h 57 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Winnipeg Jets over the Philadelphia Flyers. For teams that head into All Star weekend bumbling and stumbling (the Capitals come to mind) the long break couldn't come at a better time. For those who are finally hitting their stride, they probably wish they could just keep playing and skip the festivities. The Flyers fall into the latter category. Philly has won its last three games with an offensive out-burst that resulted in a total of 16 goals. All Star Claude Giroux made his presence felt over the weekend in San Jose but the Flyers now hope he can do that for them. After leading the league in assists last season (68), Giroux isn't even in the top 10 right now and he only has 14 goals in 48 games so far. Like the Flyers, the Jets were on a roll as well having won four in a row between January 11 and 17. But then right before the break, they threw in a clunker against the Stars. It was their third game in five days so the time off will probably do them some good. Despite their recent success, the Flyers are 0-5 in their last five home games vs. teams with a winning road record. Take the Jets. NHL High Roller Winner. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-27-19 | Bucks v. Thunder -1 | Top | 112-118 | Win | 100 | 13 h 25 m | Show |
At 6:05 pm, on ESPN-TV, our selection is on the Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over Milwaukee. The Bucks have won six straight games. However, not a single one of those six victories came against a team which currently has a winning record. That, of course, won't be the case today, as Milwaukee has to take on the team which sits in 3rd place in the Western Conference. It's true that the Bucks own the league's #1 record this season. But the Bucks have especially excelled against the Eastern Conference, as they're 17-10-3 ATS vs. the East (compared to 9-8 ATS vs. the West). Likewise, OKC has also excelled vs. Eastern Conference foes this year, with a 12-4 SU and 10-6 ATS record. Even worse for the Bucks: they're a wallet-busting 3-18 ATS their last 21, and 19-51 ATS their last 70, off 3+ wins when playing a Western Conference foe. Take Oklahoma City to blow out Milwaukee. NBA TV Game of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-19 | AFC v. NFC OVER 55.5 | Top | 26-7 | Loss | -109 | 69 h 34 m | Show |
At 3 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the "OVER" in the Pro Bowl. The line on this game opened signficantly higher, at 60 points, and has come down. There is rain in the weather forecast for Sunday morning (40% chance), but it is expected to subside by the start of this game. There's great value at this price, as six of the last nine Pro Bowls have gone 'over' the total, with the average combined score equaling 69.67 ppg. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-19 | Houston v. Tulsa +7.5 | Top | 77-65 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane + the points over Houston. The Cougars are ranked 17th in the country with a 19-1 record. And they blew out East Carolina, 94-50, in their previous game this past Wednesday. But off that 44-point win, we will fade the Cougars on the road tonight. Indeed, since 1991, teams with a win percentage greater than .900, off wins by 40+ points, have cashed just 27% as favorites vs. revenge-minded foes. Take Tulsa. NCAA Elite Info Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-19 | Utah v. California +5.5 | Top | 82-64 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 4 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the California Golden Bears + the points over Utah. The Bears lost here, at home, to Colorado on Thursday night, while Utah won and covered its 3rd straight game, with an upset victory at Stanford. The Pac-12 Conference has seen its teams cash 75.7% ATS since 1990 if they were off a loss as a home underdog, and their opponent was off back to back SU/ATS wins. Take California. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-19 | Northern Illinois v. Akron -4 | Top | 65-67 | Loss | -106 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the Akron Zips minus the points over Northern Illinois. The Huskies pulled off a big upset over Buffalo, as a 9.5-point home underdog, on Tuesday. But off that win, we will fade Northern Illinois this evening, as the Huskies fall into a negative 17-46 ATS system of mine which goes against certain teams off big upset wins. Additionally, the Zips have won 13 of 14 home games vs. N. Illinois (and has gone 8-2-2 ATS their last 12 lined games vs. the Huskies). Take Akron. |
01-26-19 | Texas State v. Georgia Southern -2 | Top | 58-74 | Win | 100 | 11 h 58 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the Georgia Southern Eagles minus the points over Texas State. The Eagles come into this game off an upset loss to Texas Arlington, on Thursday. The good news, though, for Georgia Southern is that it's cashed 69% as a single-digit favorite off an upset loss. Meanwhile, the Bobcats are a poor 2-10 ATS in Conference games off back to back point spread wins. Lay the points with Georgia Southern. |
01-26-19 | Wyoming v. Boise State -15 | Top | 52-77 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Boise State Broncos minus the points over Wyoming. The Broncos enter this afternoon's home game off back to back upset losses (and 3 losses, overall). I look for Boise to bounce back in a big way today, as Mountain West Conference home favorites off back to back upset losses have cashed 65.2% since 2000, including a perfect 8-0 ATS when priced as a 12-point (or greater) favorite. And Wyoming is an awful 47-85-2 ATS away from home off a home win, including 19-51 ATS vs. foes off a loss. Take Boise State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-19 | Kansas State v. Texas A&M +4.5 | Top | 53-65 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Texas A&M Aggies + the points over Kansas State. We played on the Aggies as a double-digit road underdog in their last game, on Tuesday, at Florida, and got the $$$ when the Aggies lost by just nine. We'll come right back with A&M as a home underdog this afternoon, as A&M is 31-17 ATS as a home underdog since 2002, including 7-2 ATS their last nine. And Texas A&M has cashed 25 of 31 non-conference home, or neutral court games off a straight-up loss. Take the Aggies + the points. |
01-26-19 | Texas-Arlington v. Georgia State -8 | Top | 71-77 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Georgia State Panthers minus the points over Texas Arlington. The Panthers come into today's home game off an upset home loss to Texas State, which was their 2nd straight upset defeat. Meanwhile, the Mavericks have won and covered five straight games, including a road win at Georgia Southern on Thursday. Unfortunately for the Mavericks, NCAA teams playing back to back games away from home have covered just 27% since 1990, if they were on both a 5-game win streak, and a 5-game ATS win streak, and their foe was off an upset loss. Take Georgia State minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-19 | Virginia v. Notre Dame +12 | Top | 82-55 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
At 1 pm, our selection is on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish + the points over Virginia. The Cavaliers were my preseason choice this year to win the National Championship (at 22-1 odds), and they're looking good so far, including nine straight point spread wins since December 19. But we will fade the Cavaliers this afternoon, as teams off 9+ covers have cashed just 38% since 1993 if they were favored away from home. Take the Fighting Irish. |
01-26-19 | Illinois +9.5 v. Maryland | Top | 78-67 | Win | 100 | 6 h 0 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the Illinois Illini + the points over Maryland. This game will be played at Madison Square Garden, in New York City. The Illini lost at home to Wisconsin, on Wednesday, to drop to 5-14 SU and 7-12 ATS. But they're a super 69-44 ATS off a conference loss, if they were matched up against an opponent also off a loss. And they also fall into a 404-244 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams with losing records. Take Illinois. |
01-25-19 | Wolves v. Jazz -10 | Top | 102-106 | Loss | -109 | 18 h 41 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Utah Jazz minus the points over Minnesota. This is a difficult scheduling spot for the T-Wolves. Minnesota will be playing its 3rd straight road game, and was on the road last night against the Lakers. Meanwhile, Utah had last night off after defeating the Nuggets, here at home, on Wednesday. Since 1993, .583 (or worse) teams have gone 42-80 ATS on the road when playing without rest off back-to-back road wins against a rested opponent. And if its opponent had a .500 (or better) record, then our 42-80 ATS stat moved to 22-52 ATS. Take the Jazz minus the points. NBA Elite Info Play. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-24-19 | Idaho State +15 v. Montana | Top | 69-80 | Win | 100 | 16 h 31 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Idaho State Bengals + the points over Montana. The Grizzlies return home off back to back road blowout wins over Northern Colorado and Idaho, while Idaho State comes into tonight's game off two SU/ATS losses. Still, we will grab the points with the underdog tonight, as teams off back to back SU/ATS losses have covered 63% the past 29 years as double-digit underdogs vs. foes off back to back 15-point SU/ATS road wins. Additionally, the Bengals fall into one of my favorite systems which is 402-216 ATS since 1990. Take Idaho State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-24-19 | Hofstra v. James Madison +7.5 | Top | 85-68 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the James Madison Dukes + the points over Hofstra. The Pride have won 14 straight, and are 7-0 inside the Colonial Athletic Association. But we will fade them tonight, as single-digit road favorites have covered just 35% since 1990 off back to back SU/ATS home wins, if they owned a 7-0 or better conference record. Additionally, the Dukes fall into 408-251, 373-228, 81-50 and 304-191 ATS systems of mine. Take James Madison + the points. |
01-24-19 | Michigan State v. Iowa +5 | Top | 82-67 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Iowa Hawkeyes + the points over Michigan State. The Spartans have won their last 12 games, including a 22-point win over this Iowa squad, and have covered their last eight. So, it's no surprise they've been installed as a big road favorite vs. the 16-3 Hawkeyes. However, Iowa is 15-0 ATS as a revenge-minded home dog of +1.5 (or more) points, if it's matched up against a foe off a SU/ATS win, with a winning point spread record. Take Iowa. |
01-24-19 | Chattanooga v. Furman -13.5 | Top | 58-73 | Win | 100 | 14 h 31 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Furman Paladins minus the points over Chattanooga. The Paladins were ranked among the Top 25 earlier this season, when they were 12-0. But they've gone 3-4 since, including back to back road defeats last week. The good news for Furman is that it's back home tonight, where it is 9-0 straight-up this season. And the Paladins are 33-12-1 ATS their last 45 at home. And they also fall into a 42-14 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home teams with strong home courts off losses. Lay the points over Chattanooga. |
01-24-19 | Nebraska-Omaha v. IUPU Ft Wayne -3.5 | Top | 85-79 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 29 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Fort Wayne Mastodons minus the points over Nebraska-Omaha. The Mavericks have won their last four games. But they were favored in each of those games. They're not favored tonight. And the Mavericks are 3-13-1 as underdogs of more than 3 points. Even better: Fort Wayne is 19-3 ATS at home vs. foes off back to back wins. And Fort Wayne falls into an 86-39 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off losses. Take the Mastodons. |
01-23-19 | Wild v. Avalanche -124 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -124 | 15 h 22 m | Show |
At 9:35 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Avalanche over the Minnesota Wild. Despite only 22 wins in their 48 games, the Avalanche still find themselves tied for third place in the Central Division thanks to eight over-time losses. It also doesn't hurt them that the Central is one of the weakest groups in the league. But if Colorado is going to be a serious contender come April, it's going to have to play like it was in the beginning of the season. After crushing the Kings, 7-1, here at home on Saturday, the Avs were soundly beaten by the Predators, 4-1, in their next game (also here) despite out-shooting Nashville, 36-27 (the fourth straight game they out-shot their opponents). The Wild come in having put up a .500 overall record so far, and they are riding a two-game winning streak having beaten the Blue Jackets and Golden Knights. But this match-up hasn't been kind to them lately as the Wild is 1-4 in the last five meetings overall and 1-4 in the last five trips to Denver. The home team is also 5-1 in the last six meetings. Take the Avs. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | San Jose State v. Wyoming -6 | Top | 46-59 | Win | 100 | 15 h 43 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Wyoming Cowboys minus the points over San Jose State. After failing to cover the spread in each of their last three games (each as a double-digit underdog), the Cowboys get to step down in class and face a team which is actually worse than itself, as San Jose is just 3-14 this season. And that bodes well for Wyoming, as home favorites have gone 94-67 ATS off back to back SU/ATS losses as double-digit underdogs. Take Wyoming. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | Missouri v. Arkansas -7 | Top | 60-72 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Arkansas Razorbacks minus the points over Missouri. The Razorbacks are back home after going on the road last week to Tennessee and Mississippi, both currently ranked among the Top 20. And the Razorbacks lost each of those two games SU/ATS, which stretched their losing streak to 4 games SU/ATS. We'll lay the points tonight, as SEC Conference home favorites, off 4 ATS defeats, are an awesome 60.9% ATS in conference games since 1990. And Arkansas is also 47-23-2 ATS at home off a road loss, if the Razorbacks were an underdog in their previous game. Lay the points with Arkansas. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | East Carolina +19 v. Houston | Top | 50-94 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 44 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the East Carolina Pirates + the points over Houston. The Pirates lost by a whopping 51 points to these Cougars in the last meeting. And that defeat is one of the reasons why I like the underdog here, tonight, as underdogs of +9.5 (or more points) have covered 62% in conference games with revenge from losses by 43+ points. Take the Pirates + the points. |
01-23-19 | Coyotes v. Canadiens -170 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Montreal Canadiens over the Arizona Coyotes. Early in the second half of the season, the Canadiens seemed to be trending in the right direction, winning four straight between January 12 and 18. And in those victories, the Habs out-scored their opposition by 15-4. But going from Columbus (their last victory) to their home ice in back-to-back days proved a bit too much as the Canadiens fell to the Flyers by a 5-2 final. The good news is that was four days ago and the Habs haven't had to travel in the interim so they should be rested and ready to go as the Coyotes visit Bell Centre for the first time in over a year. It's Arizona's turn to travel for games on back-to-back nights and the Coyotes are coming into this off of an unlikely winning streak, having won in Toronto and Ottawa in their last two. But a plethora of injuries continues to keep the Coyotes from being competitive. The Habs are 12-3 (+10 games on the money line) in their last 15 off of a home blowout loss by three or more goals. Even better: Arizona is 6-17 in the last 23 meetings and 3-8 in the last 11 in Montreal. Take the Canadiens. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | Raptors v. Pacers -5 | Top | 106-110 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Pacers minus the points over Toronto. The Pacers lost both meetings earlier this season to the Raptors. But each of those two defeats were on the road. Here, at home, the Pacers are 4-1 SU/ATS their last five vs. the Raptors. And they're 17-6 straight-up, and 13-10 ATS at home this season, including 10-0 SU and 9-1 ATS when priced from -4.5 to -10.5 points. And Indiana is also 15-0 SU/ATS since March 26, 2017 when favored at home vs. an opponent which defeated it in the previous meeting that season. I look for Indiana to run this revenge streak to 16-0 with a blowout win tonight. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | Purdue v. Ohio State +1.5 | Top | 79-67 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 45 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Ohio State Buckeyes + the points over Purdue. The Buckeyes have lost their last four games, both straight-up and ATS. But this 4-game SU/ATS losing streak has triggered 103-54 and 209-128 ATS systems of mine. Even better: the Buckeyes were upset by Maryland, 75-61, in their last game. However, Ohio State is a super 37-16-1 ATS in Big 10 Conference games off an upset loss, while Purdue is 2-9 ATS in Big 10 games off a road win. Take the Buckeyes. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-23-19 | Georgia +11.5 v. LSU | Top | 82-92 | Win | 100 | 13 h 44 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Georgia Bulldogs + the points over LSU. Georgia lost by 10 points at home to Florida over the weekend, and that was its 3rd straight defeat (both SU and ATS). I expect the Bulldogs to rebound tonight, as they're 6-0 ATS on the road off a home conference loss. And they're 8-1 ATS on the road off back to back ATS defeats. Meanwhile, LSU is a poor 29-56-3 ATS as a favorite of -8 (or more) points. Take Georgia. |
01-22-19 | San Diego State +7.5 v. Fresno State | Top | 62-66 | Win | 100 | 16 h 1 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the San Diego State Aztecs + the points over Fresno State. The Aztecs blew out New Mexico, 97-77, last Tuesday. And the Aztecs are a spectacular 78-32 ATS off a 14-point (or greater) win, if they're not laying double-digits, including 14-2 ATS when priced from +4.5 to +8.5 points. The Aztecs also fall into 407-251, 355-208, 372-228 and 317-178 ATS systems of mine. Take the Aztecs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-19 | Ole Miss v. Alabama -1 | Top | 53-74 | Win | 100 | 2 h 4 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Alabama Crimson Tide minus the points over Ole Miss. Alabama took the AP Poll's current #1 team (Tennessee) to the wire on Saturday, before falling 71-68. But Bama still covered the 13-point spread. Tonight, they're a small favorite at home vs. Ole Miss, and I look for Bama to cover for the 8th time in 10 games tonight, as they fall into 161-93 and 142-60 ATS systems of mine. Even better: Alabama is an awesome 39-14-5 ATS off a straight-up loss when it is not favored by 5+ points. Take the Crimson Tide. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-19 | Texas A&M +11 v. Florida | Top | 72-81 | Win | 100 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Texas A&M Aggies + the points over Florida. The Aggies were blown out, 66-43, as a 4.5-point home favorite by Missouri, on Saturday. But I love A&M to bounce back on the road tonight. Over the last 29 years, the Aggies have cashed 72% on the road off a 12-point (or worse) loss, if they were playing an opponent off a win. And the Aggies also fall into a 401-216 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off back to back defeats. Take the Aggies + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-19 | Wichita State +2.5 v. South Florida | Top | 41-54 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 3 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Wichita State Shockers + the points over South Florida. Since 1997, the Bulls are a horrid 35-68-4 ATS at home in conference games when not favored by more than four points, if the Bulls were off a straight-up loss. The Bulls lost by nine to Houston here, at home, on Saturday, so we'll fade the Bulls tonight. Take Wichita St. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-19 | Villanova v. Butler -1.5 | Top | 80-72 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 5 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Butler Bulldogs minus the points over Villanova. These two teams last met in last season's Big East Conference tournament. The Wildcats blew out Butler by 19 points in that game. But favorites, playing with revenge from a Tourney defeat of 14+ points, have cashed 58% since 1990 if they enter the game off a win. With the Bulldogs, indeed, off an 80-71 win over St. John's this past Saturday, we'll lay the small number with the Bulldogs. Take Butler. |
01-22-19 | Bowling Green v. Eastern Michigan -1.5 | Top | 80-67 | Loss | -112 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Eastern Michigan Eagles minus the points over Bowling Green. The Eagles are 2-3 inside the Mid-American Conference thus far, while Bowling Green is unbeaten, at 5-0. And Eastern Michigan also has a losing record, overall, at 7-9. Yet the Eagles are favored. And, since 1994, losing teams (both inside the conference, and overall) have cashed 71% as favorites (or PK) vs. conference foes that have a conference record of 4-0 (or better). Take Eastern Michigan. |
01-22-19 | Clemson v. Florida State -5.5 | Top | 68-77 | Win | 100 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Florida State Seminoles minus the points over Clemson. Florida State has lost its last three games, and was favored in its last two games. But the Seminoles have cashed 64.2% over the last 29 years off back to back upset defeats, including 71% when favored (or PK). And FSU also falls into a 67.2% ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off back to back upset defeats. Take Florida State |
01-22-19 | Texas Tech v. Kansas State -1.5 | Top | 45-58 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Kansas State Wildcats minus the points over Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are in a tailspin, as they've lost their last two games to Baylor and Iowa State, and they were favored in each. I look for Texas Tech to lose its 3rd straight game, as .780 (or better) teams have cashed just 35.4% away from home off back to back upset defeats. Take the Wildcats. |
01-21-19 | Sharks -135 v. Panthers | Top | 2-6 | Loss | -135 | 15 h 13 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the San Jose Sharks over Florida. These two teams have been "mirror opposites" over their last nine games. The Sharks enter off back to back 6-3 losses to the Coyotes and Lightning. And this current losing streak has come on the heels of a 7-game win streak. In contrast, the Panthers have won back to back games, and their win streak followed a 7-game losing streak. I love San Jose tonight, as it's 16-4 its last 20 (and a perfect 7-0 this season) after giving up more than 3 goals in each of its two previous games. Meanwhile, the Panthers are an awful 25-45 (minus 30 games on the moneyline) after back to back wins by more than a goal. Finally, the Sharks have won each of the last three meetings here, in Miami. Take San Jose tonight. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-21-19 | Predators -105 v. Avalanche | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 40 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, our selection is on the Nashville Predators over Colorado. The Predators and Avalanche last met just after Thanksgiving, and the Avalanche upset Nashville, 3-2, even though Nashville out-shot the Avs, 38-25. That loss snapped a then-6-game home win streak for the Predators. But I love Nashville to avenge that defeat this afternoon, as it is 27-7 when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. And it's also won the last three meetings here, in Denver, and nine of the last 10. We actually played on Colorado in its last game, a 7-1 blowout win over Los Angeles. But the Avalanche are a poor 1-8 after scoring more than five goals in their previous game. Take Nashville. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |

01-20-19 | Suns v. Wolves -10 | Top | 114-116 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 48 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Timberwolves minus the points over Phoenix. The Suns are 11-36 this season, but one of their rare wins was against this Minnesota team. I love the T-wolves to avenge that defeat, as NBA double-digit underdogs (like Phoenix), with a win percentage less than .250, have covered just 42 of 116 games on the road vs. opponents playing with revenge from an upset defeat. That bodes well for the home club. As does the fact that the T-wolves are 18-7-1 ATS off back to back losses. Take Minnesota. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |

01-20-19 | Patriots v. Chiefs -3 | Top | 37-31 | Loss | -100 | 157 h 7 m | Show |
At 6:40 pm, our selection is on the Kansas City Chiefs minus the points over New England, as the Chiefs fall into several of my very best Playoff systems, with records of 84-27, 25-6, 46-14, 91-35, 85-35 and 13-0 ATS since 1980. We played on both the Chiefs and Patriots big last week. And they both were able to take advantage of road-weary teams (Colts, Chargers) that were each playing their 3rd straight road game. Not surprisingly, the home-standing Chiefs and Patriots rolled to easy victories. For this game, however, the scheduling situation will work against the Patriots. This will be New England's first road game in 35 days, as it's been at home ever since it traveled (and lost) to Pittsburgh on December 16. Indeed, New England's been an awful road team this season. It went 3-5 SU/ATS in its eight road games. And its only impressive game of its three wins was at Chicago, where it survived to win, 38-31, as a 1-point favorite. Its other two road wins were against two of the league's bottom-feeders, Buffalo and the NY Jets. Its five losses were to the Jaguars, Lions, Titans, Dolphins and Steelers, and it failed to cover the spread in those five games by an average of 17.1 ppg. So, now let's put the Patriots' 2018 road record into context. In the previous two seasons, New England went 15-1 straight-up in its 16 road games, and 13-3 ATS (covering the point spread by an average of 6.18 ppg). It's clear that this year's edition of the Patriots is a far cry from the last two seasons, when it reached the Super Bowl both times. It's true, of course, that New England did defeat these Chiefs in Foxborough, in October. But Kansas City still covered the 4-point spread. And KC also has only lost one of its nine games straight-up in Arrowhead this season (29-28 vs. the Chargers), and covered the point spread at home this season by an average of 5.90 ppg. Last week, the Patriots rolled up 41 points vs. the Chargers, which was just the 2nd time New England scored more than 38 points this season. Unfortunately, New England also surrendered 28 to the Chargers. And in this Conference Championship round of the Playoffs, road teams are an awful 0-9 SU/ATS after scoring 27+ points the previous week at home, if they failed to cover the spread by more than 10 points in that victory. Even better: NFL revenge-minded teams have covered 62% in the Conference Championship round if they were playing at home with revenge against its opponent. Take the Chiefs to smash New England. NFL Game of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-19 | Patriots v. Chiefs OVER 57 | Top | 37-31 | Win | 100 | 155 h 52 m | Show |
At 6:40 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots to go 'over' the total. These two teams played in October, and the over/under was 59.5 points. The Patriots won 43-40, and the game sailed OVER the total by 23.5 points. Now, for this Playoff game, the Over/Under has opened a couple of points lower, which provides us with good value, in my opinion. Moreover, NFL games, like this one, with very high totals (57 points or higher) generally go OVER the number, as they've gone 19-6-1 OVER since 1980, including a perfect 7-0-1 OVER if it's the last 4 weeks of the regular season, or the Playoffs. Also, the Patriots have had a stark tendency to play high-scoring Playoff games. Since 2010, they've gone OVER 14-6-1. Take the OVER. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-19 | Hornets v. Pacers -7 | Top | 95-120 | Win | 100 | 12 h 47 m | Show |
At 6:05 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Pacers minus the points over Charlotte. The Hornets blew out Phoenix, 135-115, last night at home, while Indiana downed Dallas, 111-99, here at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. So, the Pacers will have a scheduling advantage tonight, in that they didn't have to travel. Indiana also plays this game with revenge from a 127-109 blowout loss in Charlotte, on November 21. And Indiana is an awesome 41-17-1 ATS when playing at home with revenge from a loss earlier in the season, including a jaw-dropping 14-0 ATS when favored. Take the Pacers. NBA Elite Info Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-19 | Missouri State +4.5 v. Drake | Top | 63-74 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 34 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Missouri State Bears + the points over Drake. The Bears come into this game off an upset loss at the hands of the Evansville Aces. And the Bears also play this game with revenge from two upset losses to Drake last season. I look for a well-motivated Bears squad to pull the upset this afternoon, as teams off an upset loss, and also playing with revenge from two upset defeats the previous season, have cashed 63% the past 29 seasons. Take Missouri State. NCAA High Roller Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | Penguins v. Golden Knights -144 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 15 h 48 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Vegas Golden Knights over Pittsburgh. The Pens won in overtime last night, 3-2, at Arizona, while Vegas has had the last three nights off to rest up for this game. That bodes well for the Knights in this game. Also in their favor is the fact that they only scored one goal on Tuesday, at Winnipeg. But Vegas is 19-5 after not scoring 2 or more goals in its previous game. Take the Knights to blow out Pittsburgh. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | Penn State +4.5 v. Minnesota | Top | 64-65 | Win | 100 | 13 h 11 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Penn State Nittany Lions + the points over Minnesota. It's true that Minnesota is 13-4, while Penn State is 7-11, but their disparate records result from the fact that the Gophers have played a much easier schedule. Indeed, Minnesota's Big 10 Conference games thus far have included games against Illinois and Rutgers. And just one (Maryland) of Minnesota's six Big 10 Conference foes thus far (and none of its non-conference foes) are currently ranked among the Nation's Top 25. In contrast, Penn State's Big 10 Conference slate has included five games against Top 25 opponents. And the Nittany Lions have played seven games against Top 25-ranked teams when you include their non-conference schedule. So, yes, Penn State has won just one game (Virginia Tech) this season against Top-ranked competition, but at least they've battled such teams. The upshot is that we have significant point spread value on the side of Penn State. Also, the Nittany Lions fall into 40-8, 402-243 and 18-0 ATS systems of mine. Take the Nittany Lions + the points. Big 10 Game of the Year. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | Tennessee Tech +17.5 v. Jacksonville State | Top | 48-65 | Win | 100 | 13 h 36 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles + the points over Jacksonville St. The Golden Eagles come into this game off back to back upset losses, at home, while the Gamecocks are on a six-game win streak. I look for Tennessee Tech to cover this big number tonight, as double-digit road underdogs have covered 57% of conference games off back to back upset losses. Take the Golden Eagles. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
01-19-19 | Senators v. Blues -204 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 48 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the St. Louis Blues over Ottawa. The Blues are a solid 8-2 this season (and 30-17 the past three seasons) off back to back losses. And we'll take a rested St. Louis team tonight, as it catches the Senators off a road game last night. Ottawa is a poor 6-13 after scoring more than 3 goals in its previous game. Take St. Louis. |
01-19-19 | Jets v. Stars +105 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 105 | 5 h 57 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Stars over Winnipeg. The Jets enter tonight's game on a 4-game win streak. But that's not good news, necessarily, as Winnipeg is an atrocious 0-6 off 4+ wins when playing away from home. Meanwhile, the Stars are on a streak of their own -- in the opposite direction -- as they've lost their last four games. But Dallas is 40-16 at home off a defeat, and also 72-53 off 3+ losses. These two teams met in Winnipeg just 13 days ago, and the Jets came away with a 5-1 victory. But Dallas is 8-2 this season when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the year. Take the Stars tonight. NHL Game of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | IUPU-Indianapolis v. Wisc-Milwaukee +2.5 | Top | 57-64 | Win | 100 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers + the points over IUPUI. The Panthers won, 81-69, as a home underdog vs. Illinois-Chicago on Thursday, and they're dressed up as a home underdog again tonight. We'll take the Panthers, as home dogs have covered 58% of conference games off a double-digit win as a conference home dog in their previous game. Take Milwaukee. |
01-19-19 | Towson +6 v. Delaware | Top | 64-63 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Towson Tigers + the points over Delaware. The Tigers come into this evening's game riding a 6-game SU/ATS losing streak. Faithful followers know I will often play on teams mired in such streaks, and this game fits several of my very best NCAA Basketball systems, including one with a 77-27 ATS record. Throw in the facts that (i) road underdogs are 100-73 (58%) ATS in conference games, while on a 6-game SU/ATS losing streak, and (ii) Delaware has covered just 26 of 71 home games off an ATS win, and we have all we need to pull the trigger on the Tigers. Take Towson + the points. |
01-19-19 | Virginia v. Duke -3 | Top | 70-72 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 16 m | Show |
At 6 pm, our selection is on the Duke Blue Devils minus the points over Virginia. The Devils were stunned, 95-91, at home by Syracuse in their last game. And Duke was a 17-point favorite vs. the Orange! That was the first time (of 91 games) that Duke had lost at home to an unranked team while being ranked #1 in the AP poll. Now, the #1 Blue Devils (AP Poll) will face the team ranked #1 in the Coaches Poll, Virginia. We'll take the Devils, as they've cashed 65% over the past 29 years off a loss, if they failed to cover the spread by more than 15 points in that defeat. Take Duke. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | California +17.5 v. Washington | Top | 52-71 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the California Golden Bears + the points over Washington. The Bears have lost six straight games, and have failed to cover four straight. Meanwhile, the Huskies are mirror opposites, as they've won their last six, and have covered their last four. The knee-jerk reaction might be to play on the "hot" Huskies, but over the past 29 seasons, teams off 5+ wins and 3+ covers have cashed just 32% vs. foes off 5+ losses, and 3+ ATS defeats, including just 3 of 27 games when favored by more than 15 points. Additionally, the Golden Bears fall into 82-38, 186-88, 293-169 and 124-47 ATS systems of mine. Grab the points with California. Pac-12 Game of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | Ball State -1.5 v. Central Michigan | Top | 83-72 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Ball State Cardinals minus the points over Central Michigan. The Cardinals are 10-7 (and 1-3 in Mid-American Conference play), but favored over the Chippewas, who are 14-3 overall, and 3-1 inside the conference. It's counter-intuitive, of course, but road favorites with a worse conference record, as well as a worse overall record, have covered 71% of Mid-American Conference games. Even worse for Central Michigan: it's an awful 2-10-1 ATS in MAC Conference games as a home underdog with a winning record. Take Ball State. MAC GAme of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-19 | College of Charleston +5.5 v. Hofstra | Top | 72-86 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Charleston Cougars + the points over Hofstra. The Pride have won 13 straight games, but have not performed well over the years as a home favorite, as they're 31-54-1 ATS, while the Cougars have been solid as a road underdog, with a 76-48-2 ATS record. Additionally, Charleston falls into a 510-358 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams with inferior records. Look for Charleston to snap Hofstra's long winning streak this afternoon. Take Charleston + the points. |
01-19-19 | Kings v. Avalanche -174 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Avalanche over the Los Angeles Kings. One of the better teams in the league through the month of November, the Colorado Avalanche have been in a bit of a free-fall since early December. The Avs have gone 4-14 since December 8 and have won just twice in their last 12 games. But seven of their last 11 have been on the road and now the Avs come home to a place that's almost always been kind to them -- and they have five straight here, starting with this afternoon affair against the Kings. If they're looking for a way to get back on track -- which they obviously are -- this home date with the Kings would seem to be a perfect formula. L.A is just 8-15 on the road this season, and the Kings have by far the worst scoring average in the NHL when playing games away from their home ice -- a paltry 1.87 goals per game (vs. 2.62 GPG at home). The Kings upset the Stars, 2-1 on Thursday, but they are just 2-10 after not giving up 2+ goals in their previous game. Take the Avalanche. |
01-19-19 | Richmond v. Davidson -10.5 | Top | 62-75 | Win | 100 | 5 h 8 m | Show |
At 12:30 pm, our selection is on the Davidson Wildcats minus the points over Richmond. The Wildcats have lost the last four meetings to Richmond, but fall into a 112-71 ATS revenge system of mine. Even better: they come into this game off a loss at St Joseph's. But Davidson is 12-5 ATS at home off a conference defeat. Take Davidson minus the points. |
01-18-19 | Penguins -155 v. Coyotes | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Pittsburgh Penguins over Arizona. The Pens come into tonight's game off back to back blowout losses by an identical 5-2 score. I love Pittsburgh to bounce back tonight, as it's owned the Coyotes, of late, with three blowout wins since last season (outscoring the Coyotes 11-3) and five wins in the last six meetings (outscoring Arizona, 27-7). Arizona's 11-40 when playing with revenge from a loss by more than 2 goals, while Pittsburgh is 9-1 off back to back road defeats. Take the Penguins. As always, good luck...Al McMordie |
01-18-19 | Islanders v. Capitals -180 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -180 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Washington Capitals over New York. The Caps have dropped three straight games (coinciding with the injury sustained to Braden Holtby in Saturday's overtime loss to Columbus), but they're an awesome 18-5 (+11 games on the money line) off back to back losses. And they received some good news when they learned this morning that Braden Holtby will be back in goal. Take Washington. |
01-18-19 | Senators v. Hurricanes -230 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -230 | 8 h 40 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Carolina Hurricanes over the Ottawa Senators. The Hurricanes were on quite a roll, winning seven of eight games between New Years Eve and January 13. During that stretch, they out-scored their opponents by 31-19 in those seven victories and the lone loss came in Tampa against the team with the best record in the NHL. Then in their last one, the 'Canes laid an egg, losing to the Rangers in New York badly, 6-2. But it was their fourth game in six days and they clearly needed a rest and a chance to get back to home ice. Tonight, the 'Canes are back in Raleigh with two off-days since that disappointing effort in the Big Apple. Home has been a good place overall for the Hurricanes this season as they've lost in regulation just seven times in 24 games here. And the road has been a struggle for the Senators, who are just 6-16 away from Ottawa. Finally, the home team is 28-9 in the last 37 meetings, including a perfect 5-0 the last five in this building. Take the 'Canes. |
01-18-19 | Eastern Michigan +16 v. Buffalo | Top | 65-77 | Win | 100 | 14 h 18 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the E. Michigan Eagles + the points over Buffalo. These two teams met in Ypsilanti just two weeks ago, and the Bulls came away with a 74-58 win. We'll take E. Michigan in the re-match, as revenge-minded Mid-American Conference road underdogs, off a straight-up loss, have gone 46-23 ATS against conference foes off a win. Take the Eagles. |
01-18-19 | Ohio +9 v. Toledo | Top | 52-75 | Loss | -107 | 14 h 18 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Ohio U. Bobcats + the points over Toledo. Ohio was upset at home, 66-52, as a 4-point favorite by Kent State. However, I love Ohio to rebound tonight, as it's gone 51-27-2 ATS off an upset loss to a Mid-American Conference foe. Take the Bobcats + the points. |
01-18-19 | Maryland v. Ohio State -2 | Top | 75-61 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 49 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Ohio State Buckeyes minus the points over Maryland. The Terrapins are on a 6-game win streak, while Ohio State has lost its last three games, both SU and ATS. But we'll lay the points with Ohio State, as favorites (or PK'em teams) are 46-22 ATS if they're off 3+ losses, and their opponent is off 4+ wins, and owns a .500 (or better) record. Take the Buckeyes. |
01-17-19 | Michigan State v. Nebraska +2 | Top | 70-64 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 10 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers + the points over Michigan State. The Spartans have won their last 10 games, and have covered six straight. Unfortunately for Michigan State, NCAA road teams off 10+ wins and 3+ covers are a poor 20% ATS in the regular season when not favored by more than 3 points, if they were playing the 2nd of back to back games away from home. Take Nebraska. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-19 | The Citadel v. Samford -8 | Top | 77-80 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 37 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Samford Bulldogs minus the points over The Citadel. Samford returns to its home arena tonight, after a 3-game road trip which saw it go 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS. But Samford's been terrific at home this year, as it's 8-2 straight-up, and 7-2 ATS. It's true that Samford is off back to back SU losses as a favorite. However, it falls into 86-38, 80-35 and 72-34 ATS systems of mine that each play on certain teams off upset losses. Lay the points with Samford. |
01-17-19 | Kings v. Hornets -3 | Top | 95-114 | Win | 100 | 14 h 16 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte Hornets minus the points over Sacramento. These two teams met in the California state capital five days ago, and the Kings earned a 104-97 victory, as a 6-point home favorite. That win was part of a 3-game home stand for the Kings, in which they went 3-0 SU/ATS. Now, however, Sacramento is on the road. And it's an awful 3-12 ATS its last 15 when facing a revenge-minded foe on the road, while Charlotte is 6-3 ATS this season when playing with revenge. And Sacramento is a also a poor 4-12 ATS as an underdog off 3 ATS wins, and 21-44 ATS on the road off 3+ straight-up wins. Lay the points with the Hornets. NBA Payback Payday. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-19 | Towson +5.5 v. Drexel | Top | 66-72 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 8 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Towson Tigers + the points over Drexel. The Dragons are favored tonight, even though they've lost the last six in this series, and 10 of the last 12. Of course, the primary reason is that Towson is mired in a 5-game SU/ATS losing streak. But Colonial Athletic Association teams are a solid 84-62 ATS in conference games off 3 SU/ATS losses. Take Towson + the points. |
01-16-19 | Jazz v. Clippers -1.5 | Top | 129-109 | Loss | -118 | 16 h 23 m | Show |
At 10:35 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over Utah. The Clippers are on a 3-game losing streak, while the Jazz are on a 4-game win streak. But I love Los Angeles to put an end to its losing ways, tonight. The Clippers are 22-10-1 ATS at home, off a home loss, if their opponent was off back to back wins, including 8-0-1 ATS when priced from -2 to +3.5 points. And Utah's a poor 17-39-1 ATS as a road underdog of less than 8 points in the regular season. Take the Clippers. |
