ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: San Jose Sharks @ Detroit Red Wings, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Sharks got drilled 5-2 at Pittsburgh last night. The over is 4-0 in their last 4 games. San Jose has allowed at least 5 goals in 3 straight games. They've averaged scoring 4.3 goals per game in their last 4 games. The over is 20-11 (including 6-3 this season) when the Sharks are playing the 2nd game of a back to back. The over is 4-2 in the Red Wings last 6 home games and this is their first game since the All Star break. Detroit will get a boost from a few returning players tonight. The over is 13-5 in Red Wings non-conference games this season and this has the makings of another one flying over the total. Bet the OVER in Detroit in evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Calgary Flames, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights have had a fantastic inaugural season and dominating their divisional games has played a key role. The only team they haven't met yet is Calgary and they're fired up for this opportunity tonight. Vegas is 11-2 in divisional games this season and the only team that has beaten them is Edmonton...twice...and once was here in the province of Alberta. That said, even tough this game is against the Flames rather than the Oilers, the Golden Knights have been looking forward to this trip and an opportunity to erase the bad memories of an 8-2 loss at Edmonton earlier this season. Vegas lost their most recent game but previously had won 17 of their last 22 games and they're hungry to get right back on track tonight. Calgary has lost 4 straight games and 16 of their last 29. The Flames have scored just a single goal in each of their last 3 home games. The Golden Knights have averaged 4 goals per game in their last 3 road games! While Vegas has dominated divisional action, the Flames have lost 47 of 78 against divisional foes. Also, the Golden Knights have won 16 of 23 games against teams with a winning record. Calgary, in the 2nd half of a season, has lost 25 of their last 37 games against teams with a winning record. Bet Vegas in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
This match-up always means a little extra to the Jets as they were embarrassed by the Ducks in the post-season when they got swept 4 games to 0 in April of 2015. Winnipeg has won each of the past two games with the Ducks and they also come into Anaheim red hot. The Jets have won 9 of their last 12 games entering this match-up. The Ducks are off of a win but previously had lost 16 of their last 28 games. Winnipeg has won 14 of 20 games against teams with a losing record this season. Anaheim has lost 17 of 27 games against teams with a winning record this season. The Jets have 7 power play goals in their last 7 games and have the better power play stats on the season compared to the Ducks. Anaheim has allowed 7 power play goals in their last 5 home games. This looks like a mismatch and the value is with the small underdog on the road. Bet the Winnipeg in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Los Angeles Kings @ Calgary Flames, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
Calgary has been involved in some low-scoring games recently but the Flames have a huge rivalry game with Edmonton on deck for tomorrow. That means the Flames best defensive efforts are likely to be reserved for tomorrows battle with the Oilers. Also, the last 5 meetings between these two teams have averaged 6.2 goals per game and there have been no unders in any of those five games. Prior to back to back low-scoring games, Calgary had averaged scoring 3.9 goals per game in their 7 prior games. There should be plenty of goals scored in this one as the Kings have lost 7 of their last 8 games and it is largely due to sub-par defense. LA has allowed an average of 3.6 goals per game their last 5 games. The Flames have stayed under the total in 3 straight games but that is a situation that has produced a record of 4-1 to the over this season! Also, the past 3 seasons combined, when the Flames enter a game on an under streak of 3 or more games, Calgary has had just 6 unders in 23 games! Bet the OVER in Calgary in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
Columbus is off for a week after tonight's game so they're certainly going to go all out here in their final contest before the All Star break. The Blue Jackets have allowed 2 goals or less in 5 of their last 7 games. The Golden Knights have scored just 2.3 goals per game in their last 3 home games so there is value with the dog here. Vegas is off of a huge road win at Carolina and now returns from that East Coast road trip and could be flat here. The Golden Knights wrapped up the trip with 3 games in 4 nights and that can take a lot out of a team. Don't be surprised if Vegas is somewhat "off" tonight and they do have another home game on deck for Thursday so, unlike Columbus, this is not their final home game before the All Star break. Before the win over the Hurricanes, the Golden Knights had finally slowed down with losses in 3 of their 4 prior games. The Blue Jackets have won 11 of 17 when playing with 3 or more days of rest between games. Strong effort here for a rested Columbus team wanting to close the first half of the season with a big road win. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
We successfully went against the Kings last night as they were clearly looking ahead to this rematch with the rival Ducks tonight. Now we'll come right back with a play on Los Angeles in a value spot as a big dog. The Kings are a sizable dog here even though they've won 4 of 6 this season when playing the 2nd game of a back to back. Plus Los Angeles has rarely lost 2 in a row to Anaheim in recent meetings between these teams. That said, having suffered a home loss to the Ducks last week, look for the Kings to respond big here. Los Angeles has won 16 of 22 games this season against teams with a losing record and Anaheim has won just 21 of 46 games on the season. The Ducks have lost 16 of 25 games this season when facing a team with a winning record. Anaheim is off of a big win and has lost 7 of 11 this season when off of a win by a multiple goal margin. These teams are known to play tight physical games against each other and a low-scoring grinder favors the road dog here. Bet the Kings on the money line in late night action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (+) @ Los Angeles Kings, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
Pittsburgh is playing the 2nd night of a back to back but of course there was no real travel involved considering they faced Anaheim last night and now face Los Angeles tonight. Also, in the 2nd game of a back to back Anaheim is 4-0-2 their last 6 so they've earned at least a point in all 6. The Penguins are playing with revenge here as, despite winning the Stanley Cup each of the last two seasons, they have been swept by the Kings in each of those seasons! The Kings have been held to 2 goals or less in 4 of their last 5 home games. This certainly could prove troublesome against a Pittsburgh team that has won 5 of its last 7 games and averaged scoring 4.8 goals per game in those 5 victories. With back to back wins before their bye followed by back to back wins after their bye week, the Pens aren't going to let one loss (last night) take away all their momentum. Their power play has been red hot and Los Angeles has lost 14 of 18 games versus teams with a winning record this season. Pittsburgh has won 41 of 55 games in recent seasons after a loss by 2 or more goals in their prior game. Also, the Pens have won 16 of 21 games this season when they are off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. Bet the Penguins on the money line in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
Pittsburgh is playing with revenge here as they lost 4 to 0 at home versus the Ducks in November. The Penguins did win the last match-up between these teams in Anaheim by a 5-1 count. That said, the road team has won the last two meetings by a combined score of 9 to 1 and certainly any home ice edge has proven to not be a factor in recent meetings. The Ducks have been held to 2 goals or less in 3 of their last 4 games. Also, in home games Anaheim has been held to 2 goals or less in 2 of their last 3. This certainly could prove troublesome against a Pittsburgh team that has won 5 of its last 6 games and averaged scoring 4.8 goals per game in those 5 victories. With back to back wins before their bye followed by back to back wins after their bye week, the Pens seem to have proven they are ready to turn the corner on their "up and down" season. Anaheim has lost 16 of 24 games versus teams with a winning record this season. Pittsburgh has won 7 of 10 games this season when playing with 2 days of rest between games. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Predators could be without starting goalie Pekka Rinne tonight as Juuse Saros has been called up from Milwaukee, the Preds AHL affiliate. Nashville is also playing their first game after having been off for an extended stretch due to their bye week. It is always tough to get started up again after a layoff and the Predators also could be without Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg. These are the #1 and #3 point producers and Nashville will definitely be without Forsberg tonight. The Golden Knights also recently had their bye but they already have a game under their belt since coming back. That is certainly an advantage here and also some added motivation as Vegas did lose that game. That was an OT loss to Edmonton and defeats have been few and far between for a Golden Knights team that has ranked among the best in the NHL in their surprising inaugural season. Vegas has won 10 of 12 this season when off of a divisional game. Nashville has lost 6 of its last 10 games and the week off took away any momentum after winning back to back games just prior to their bye week. Bet the Golden Knights on the money line in evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* New York Islanders Money Line (+) @ Montreal Canadiens, Monday at 7:35 PM ET
The Canadiens just lost a very important game as they were defeated by their biggest rival and fellow Original Six member, the Bruins. Not only that, on deck for Montreal is an immediate chance at payback as they play at Boston Wednesday. In other words, the value of this game to the Islanders pales in comparison to Saturday's home loss and Wednesday's big game on deck. With that said, there is great underdog value here with the Islanders. The road dog in this one is off of back to back wins and feeling the confidence build with a huge 7-2 victory over the Rangers Saturday. Granted that was a big game for the Isles too but they got the win and have a game against a Devils team they recently beat on deck. The point is that the Islanders aren't in the same "distracted" scheduling situation that the Habs are in. New York also has dominated the Canadiens in their last two meetings with victories by a combined score of 6 to 1. We expect that domination to continue tonight as Montreal continues to struggle. They already have lost 6 of their last 8 games. While the Canadiens only have averaged 1.8 goals their last 8 games, the Islanders have averaged 4 goals per game their last 4 games! Montreal has lost 9 of 14 after a divisional game this season while the Islanders have won 10 of 13 after a divisional game this season. Bet the Islanders on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (-) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
The Blackhawks have been getting good goal-tending from Anton Forsberg recently as they continue to wait for Corey Crawford's return. However, with the bye week upcoming for Chicago, they are expected to use Jeff Glass tonight and get him some work in advance of the bye week. He is a 32-year old NHL rookie which, that right there tells you a lot about Glass. In his 4 starts at the NHL level since making his debut with the Blackhawks he has compiled a 3.51 GAA and he has an .884 save percentage on home ice. It is a lot of pressure on him here to try and come up with a good start on home ice and facing a tough divisional match-up. We expect Glass to again struggle at the United Center. The Jets are the highest scoring team in the Western Conference this season. Also, unlike the Blackhawks, Winnipeg has their #1 goalie available tonight and he has certainly been on top of his game. Connor Hellebuyck just got named to the All Star team and he has a fantastic 23-4-6 record with a stellar 2.36 goals-against average and .923 save percentage on the season. The Jets come into this game seeking revenge as they lost each of their last two meetings with the Blackhawks in Winnipeg. Those home losses continued a trend in recent meetings between these divisional foes. That trend is that home ice hasn't mattered! Not only has the road team won 5 straight in this series, those 5 victories have come by a combined score of 20 to 8. We expect another road dominated game here as the Jets come in having scored 4.3 goals per game in their last 7 games (6 of those being wins). Big goaltending edge here with Winnipeg having their #1 goalie and the Blackhawks using their #3 goalie. Also, the power play of the Jets is a big edge and the revenge factor will insure they don't take their foot off of the gas in this one. Chicago has 21 wins in their 43 games this season and Winnipeg has won 13 of 18 against teams with a losing record this season. The Blackhawks have lost 14 of 19 games against teams with a winning record this season! Bet the Jets on the money line for a Top Play in evening action Friday.

Some big favorites have crashed down recently and this looks like another great spot to fade a big favorite that is in a bad spot. Tampa Bay could get caught looking ahead to their week-long bye week which is on deck. The Lightning are off of back to back wins and can't help but think about the time off coming up. The Flames, on the other hand, still have two more games on deck (including one tomorrow) before their bye "week" begins. The road team won both games in this series last season and Calgary enters this match-up on a 4-game winning streak. The Flames, when on a winning streak of 3 or more consecutive games, have won 15 of 23 games. The Bolts have allowed at least 4 goals in each of their last two home games. The Flames have allowed 3 goals or less in 15 straight games! Calgary has allowed an average of just 2.2 goals per game during this impressive stretch of defensive work and goal-tending. ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) @ Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 8:05 PM ET
We like to look for situations where you have an overvalued favorite in an unusual scheduling situation and that is the case here with Nashville. Even though the Predators are off of a win at Los Angeles Saturday, they now have a one week bye on deck and could easily get caught overlooking this game considering their recent dominance of Edmonton. The issue for Nashville is they really can't afford to overlook anyone. Prior to the Preds win over the Kings, they had lost 6 of their last 8 games and been held to an average of only 2.1 goals per game in their last 9 games. The Oilers want this game badly as the Predators have been a nemesis for Edmonton in recent seasons. In their only meeting this season, the Oilers lost badly at home despite doubling up the Preds 46 to 23 in shots on goal. That meeting took place only about 3 weeks ago and Edmonton is ready to explode here after back to back road losses where they scored just 1 goal in each game. The Oilers have underachieved this season but they're very talented and ready to turn things around here at the midway point. Predators have actually lost 7 of 12 games against teams with a losing record this season and they get caught anticipating their bye week one day too early! ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: New York Rangers @ Vegas Golden Knights, Sunday at 9:35 PM ET
The Rangers are in a tough back to back spot here after a 2-1 win at Arizona last night. That means goalie Henrik Lundqvist would be playing the 2nd game of a back to back (always tough) if he gets the call or it will be back-up Ondrej Pavelec getting the call. He has a sub-par .899 save percentage in road games this season and both of his road starts went over the total. Vegas is off of a high-scoring 5-4 win at Chicago Friday and the Golden Knights are now back home where they've averaged an incredible 3.8 goals per game this season. 12 of 18 Vegas games against teams with a winning record have gone over the total this season. Of the Rangers last 70 non-conference games, only 25 have resulted in an under. The Rangers won the first meeting between these teams by a 6-4 count in New York on Halloween and we look for another wild one here. The fact we only need 6 for a W here adds significant value as this total is currently set at 5.5 goals. Bet the OVER in Vegas in late night action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Buffalo Sabres @ Winnipeg Jets, Friday at 8:05 PM ET
The Jets have truly been incredible in terms of their production in the offensive zone when on home ice. Winnipeg has averaged 4.2 goals per game at home this season. Incredibly, the Jets have scored at least 4 goals in 13 of their last 15 home games! Couple that with the fact that this total dropped from a 6 to a 5.5 and there is great value here with this over. The Sabres have scored at least 2 goals in 6 straight games and have averaged 2.7 goals per game during this stretch. Buffalo is in a back to back here and the Sabres have had only 16 unders the last 43 times they've played the 2nd game of a back to back. The Jets are well rested here and have had just 1 under in 6 games this season when they enter the game with 2 days of rest between games. Bet the OVER in Winnipeg in evening action Friday.

Total has dropped from a 6 to a 5.5 as the day has gone. Making 6 a "win number" in a game that is likely to be high scoring gets us "in play" here. The Blue Jackets are off of a 2-1 win but had allowed 5 goals in each of their 3 prior games. Colorado will be ready to take advantage as they've won 3 straight games and averaged scoring 4.3 goals per game. Overall, the Avalanche had scored 4 goals or more in 5 of their last 7 games before a tight 3-2 win versus Winnipeg Tuesday. The over is 7-3 when the Avs enter a game on a winning streak of 3 or more consecutive games. Colorado is a fantastic 16-5 to the over in their games against teams from the Eastern Conference this season. The Blue Jackets are 4-0 to the over this season in road games with a total set at 6 goals or more. The fact that this total is now available at a 5.5 in many spots means even more value for the over here as the odds makers have been 100% correct when setting big totals in Columbus road games this season. Detroit is off of a huge home win on New Years Eve as they got the big win over the two-time defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to that victory the Red Wings had lost 13 of their 17 previous games. Now the Wings, off of that very satisfying home win, face a Senators team that is very hungry and agitated after an embarrassing 5-0 home loss to Boston that absolutely has to be rock bottom for Ottawa. The Sens have had a bad schedule filled with a ton of road games but they have a homestand on deck and they want to bounce back and get some momentum in this game tonight which is their final road game until next Wednesday. Ottawa has won 43 of 75 (+14.0 net units) when off of a divisional game. The Red Wings have lost 10 of 14 divisional games this season and, even though they're playing with revenge here, Detroit has lost 15 of 23 when in the revenge role. The Red Wings have lost 30 of 46 when playing with 2 days of rest between games and could be rusty here both physically and mentally (they really wanted that game over the Pens Sunday). ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (-) vs Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
Nashville is off of a key divisional win over Minnesota which they won in shutout fashion 3-0. Prior to that victory the Preds had lost 4 of their 5 previous games. Now the Predators face a Vegas team that has won 7 straight games! The Golden Knights have given up only 1.7 goals per game during this hot streak. On the season Vegas is scoring an average of 3.6 goals per game which makes them one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Certainly the Golden Knights have not played like an expansion team! Vegas has had incredible success at home with 16 wins in 19 games. The Predators are a solid team but they are off of that big win over the Wild and also have averaged scoring just 2.2 goals per game in their last 5 games. Nashville has lost 10 of 16 (including 3 of 4 this season) when off of a shutout win. The Golden Knights are a bargain in this price range considering the way they've been playing and with consideration to the Predators being off of such a big win. This is a back to back for the Flames here but, coming off of a loss, they're still going to be hungry here. Also, Calgary saved goalie Mike Smith (their #1) so they could use him in this game tonight. Even though the Flames won at Anaheim earlier this season, it is hard to say that the revenge factor truly belongs with the Ducks here. That's because Anaheim eliminated Calgary from the post-season last April and the Flames certainly still aren't over that! Look for Calgary to bring another strong effort here and Smith should enjoy success as the Ducks are averaging just 2.3 goals per game in divisional games this season. By comparison, the Flames are averaging 3.3 goals per game this season in divisional games! Anaheim has lost 7 of 10 divisional games this season and also 5 of 6 on Friday nights! ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* OVER 5.5 goals - Chicago Blackhawks @ Vancouver Canucks, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Blackhawks will be without #1 goalie Corey Crawford. That is a significant loss for Chicago as they have lost 7 of 8 games that back-up Anton Forsberg has started. Also, the over is 4-2 in the 6 road starts Forsberg has made as he has a poor .894 save percentage away from home. After a 5-game winning streak that saw the Blackhawks average 3.6 goals per game, they lost their final two games before the Christmas break and scored only 1 goal. Chicago can't wait to get back on the ice and make amends for those efforts and they will score well tonight. The problem will be keeping the puck out of their own net with Forsberg between the pipes. Vancouver has certainly had issues with keeping the puck out of their own net! The Canucks lost 8 of 9 games before the Christmas break and Vancouver allowed an average of 4.9 goals per game during this poor stretch! The Canucks offense did show improvement however and they averaged 3 goals per game their final 5 games before the break. They should enjoy plenty of success against Forsberg tonight. The over is 7-1 in the Canucks last 8 games. The over is 11-3 this season when Vancouver is off of a loss by a multiple goal margin in their prior game. When the Blackhawks are off of a game where they scored 1 goal or less this season, they've only stayed under the total twice in six games. Look for plenty of offense in this one. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights come out of the Christmas break having won 8 of their last 9 games. Of course the newest NHL franchise has arguably been the biggest surprise of the season and, now that we're nearing the midway point of the season, there is no denying that Vegas is a legitimate playoff-level team. The Golden Knights have already defeated the Ducks twice this season. Although that makes this a revenge spot for Anaheim, the Ducks haven't been anything special (won 9 of 17) when playing with revenge. Anaheim is 0-3 this season in home games with a total set at 6 or more goals. Also, the Ducks have lost 14 of 21 games this season when facing a team with a winning record. Injuries up front have really hurt this Anaheim team and their two game winning streak right before the Christmas break was the first two times this month that Anaheim scored 4 goals or more. The Ducks just don't have the firepower to keep up with Vegas. Prior to the 2-0 mini-run for Anaheim they had lost 7 of their 10 December games. The Golden Knights won their most recent game 3-0 and, before that, had scored 4 goals or more in 6 of their last 9 games. Vegas has won 9 of their 10 divisional games this season and, when they enter a game after playing each of their previous 3 games at home, the Golden Knights have won 6 of 7 games this season. ASA PLAY ON 10* Chicago Blackhawks Money Line (+) @ Dallas Stars, Thursday at 8:35 PM ET
Beautiful set up here. The Blackhawks have won 5 straight games and are getting excellent goaltending from Cory Crawford. Chicago has allowed only 1.4 goals per game their last 5 games. The Hawks are playing this game with double revenge as the Stars have managed to win each of the first two match-ups. Dallas comes into this game slumping as they have lost 6 of their last 8 games. Unlike the Blackhawks, the Stars goaltending has been struggling at times. This has been particularly true on home ice where Dallas has lost 3 straight by a combined score of 14 to 8. While this is a divisional game that would seem important for both clubs, the fact is that the situation here makes it much more important for Chicago. The Blackhawks are fully focused as they had been dominating the Stars in recent meetings until this season and now want revenge for losing each of the first two match-ups this season. Also, the Hawks have a non-conference match-up on deck. As for the Stars, they have a big game with Nashville on deck. The Predators have been a thorn in the side of Dallas and the Stars are looking forward to that divisional revenge opportunity in their final game before the Christmas break at home on Saturday. As for the Blackhawks, they are fully focused on the "here and now" as they seek revenge tonight. Chicago has won 4 of 5 this season (and 19 of 25 in recent seasons) when they enter a game on a streak of 3 or more consecutive unders. Dallas has lost 10 of 12 this season when off of a non-conference game and they are off of a loss to the Eastern Conference Washington Capitals Tuesday. Bet Chicago on the money line in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5.5 goals in Vancouver Canucks vs Montreal Canadiens, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
Both teams are struggling and both have some injury issues. Those injury issues however have weakened the blue line for each club. The Canucks are without Christopher Tanev and the Canadiens are without Shea Weber. Both of those players are defensemen. Vancouver has been having huge trouble in their own end and between the pipes as they've allowed 4.8 goals per game in their last 6 games! The Canadiens have allowed 3 goals or more in 4 of their last 5 games. This is why we're anticipating a 4-3 type game here and we see great value with the over. Montreal just got shutout in the outdoor game at Ottawa Saturday so they are anxious to atone for that scoreless performance. Vancouver is off of a blowout loss at home where they were held to just 1 goal. Both clubs are anxious to respond with more offense tonight but neither club has proven adept at keeping the puck out of their own net of late. As a result, the value here is with the over. The over is 28-19 when the Canadiens are off of a loss by 2 goals or more. Also, the over is 10-6 this season in Habs games against teams with a losing record. Additionally, the over is 4-2 in Montreal's road games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Canucks are 10-3 to the over this season after a game in which they allowed 4 goals or more. Another wild one in BC tonight. Bet the OVER 5.5 goals in Vancouver in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Colorado Avalanche Money Line (+) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Penguins finally got a win Saturday but that was at Arizona. Colorado may not be a great team but they certainly are vastly superior to the league-worst Coyotes. With that said, Pittsburgh is over-priced here as the Pens had lost 3 straight and 4 of their last 5 prior to the win at Arizona. The Avalanche enter this game off of a loss versus Tampa Bay but the Avs previously had won 3 of 4. Also, Colorado has won 9 of 15 at home this season while the Penguins have lost 11 of 18 road games this season. Pittsburgh has revenge here but they've lost 8 of 13 when playing with revenge this season. Additionally, the Pens have lost 11 of 17 non-conference games this season. The Avalanche have won 5 of their 7 home games this season that have had an O/U set at 6 goals or more. Colorado is truly a dangerous home dog here and this is their last home game until after Christmas so they're going to bring a strong effort here. The Penguins could get caught looking ahead to a tough match-up with a divisional foe, Columbus, on deck. The Avalanche have won their last 2 visits to Pittsburgh but they lost the last time they hosted the defending Stanley Cup champs. We expect the Avs to make up for that here. Bet Colorado on the money line in late night action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) @ Vancouver Canucks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
Even though this is a back to back spot for San Jose, they are in much better shape than Vancouver. The Canucks have been hurting badly since center Bo Horvat went out with an injury. To make matters worse it is likely that defenseman Chris Tanev is going to miss tonight. He left Wednesday's loss to Nashville after taking a big hit and Vancouver called up another defenseman for tonight's game. The Canucks have lost 4 straight games and those defeats have been blowouts by a combined margin of 15 goals. Although this is the 2nd game of a back to back for the Sharks, they played back-up Aaron Dell last night in Calgary (he is from the area). Now San Jose's #1 goalie, Martin Jones gets his chance in front of family and friends as he is from North Vancouver and he'll be between the pipes for this one. The Sharks have won each of their 6 visits to Vancouver in recent seasons and they are the much healthier team right now. The Canucks lose their 5th straight tonight! Vancouver has lost 12 of 18 this season in games against teams with a winning record. The Sharks have won 11 of 17 this season in games against teams with a losing record. Bet San Jose on the money line in late night action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 10* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (-) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Penguins are off of back to back losses and are ready to respond in Vegas after two off days since a rare home loss to the Avalanche Monday. This has been an unusual stretch for the back to back Stanley Cup Champion Penguins as they enter off of back to back losses but have lost 3 straight games only one time this season. Of course there is a lot of hype with this match-up as long-time Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury faces his former team for the first time. A lot of pressure on Fleury for this game while the Penguins will have their #1 netminder, Matt Murray, back between the pipes tonight. The Golden Knights have been outshot by a combined 18 shots on goal in their past 3 games while the Penguins have outshot the opposition by 44 shots on goal in their last 4 games. Despite losing 3 of their past 4 games, you can see that the Pens have truly played better than what their record has shown. The result is line value here as Pittsburgh also gets Murray back between the pipes for this one. Vegas has lost 7 of 10 games versus Eastern Conference foes this season. The Penguins are the much better team on the power play in comparing these two teams. Also, the Pens have won 6 of 8 games this season when playing with 2 days of rest between games. The Penguins answer the bell here and avoid what would be a rare 3-game losing streak. Bet Pittsburgh on the money line in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Nashville Predators @ Vancouver Canucks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Predators are seeking revenge here for a 5-3 home loss to the Canucks two weeks ago. However, the Preds are expected to save goalie Pekka Rinne for a match-up at Edmonton tomorrow night which would mean Juuse Saros will be between the pipes tonight at Vancouver. Saros has not been nearly as effective as Rinne and each of his last 4 starts have resulted in an over. The Canucks are going to have Anders Nilsson between the pipes and, on the season, he has not been as effective as Jacob Markstrom. The over is 4-0 in Nilsson's last 4 starts. The over is 8-3 in Vancouver's games this season where they are off of a game in which they allowed 4 goals or more. The over is 8-3 this season when Nashville is playing with revenge. The Predators also are 23-10 to the over when they enter a game on an streak of 3 or more consecutive overs. Bet the OVER in Vancouver in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Carolina Hurricanes Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Hurricanes are 0-2-2 on their road trip and hungry for an upset win in their first trip to Vegas. The Golden Knights have been hot but bringing back goalie Marc Andre-Fleury tonight actually weakens them. He has not played since very early in the season as he has been out with a concussion. While it is certainly a good sign that Fleury is back, it is a tough situation for two reasons. One is that Fleury is sure to be rusty after the long layoff. Another reason is that the Knights have the Penguins on deck for Thursday. Of course Fleury was a long-time Pittsburgh player and can't help but look ahead to that game. In fact, Fleury is likely being pushed into action tonight to have the opportunity to work out the kinks before the big game with the Pens. That said, the Golden Knights are viewing tonight's match-up much different than the Canes are! Vegas has lost 6 of 9 games versus Eastern Conference foes this season. The Hurricanes are on a 4-game losing streak and they have not lost 5 straight games this season. We don't expect that to change tonight either so grab the big dog as Cam Ward gives them the edge between the pipes in this one. Bet Carolina on the money line in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* UNDER 5.5 goals: Minnesota Wild @ San Jose Sharks, Sunday at 9:05 PM ET
The Sharks are off of back to back high-scoring games (San Jose exploded for 5 goals in each game) but don't let that fool you. The Sharks continue be a defensive-minded hockey club. 10 of San Jose's 12 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals have resulted in an under this season. Also, when off of a game where the Sharks scored 4 goals or more, all 7 games have resulted in an under this season. The Wild are off of a 3-2 win at Anaheim and that was the 3rd time in 4 games that Minnesota has held their opponent to 2 goals or less. Devan Dubnyk has been playing very well between the pipes for the Wild and has a .930 save percentage in his last 4 starts. However, Alex Stalock is likely to get the start here against the team that drafted him in 2005. You know the back-up netminder is looking to come up big against his former team and we expect him to do just that. The Sharks are expected to have Martin Jones between the pipes tonight but Aaron Dell has also been playing well. Either way, look for another under here as San Jose has had just 7 overs (25%) in 28 games this season and the Sharks have fantastic penalty-killing. Bet the UNDER in San Jose in late evening action Sunday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (+) @ New Jersey Devils, Friday at 7:05 PM ET
The Blue Jackets are in revenge mode here and this is a battle for first place in the Metropolitan Division. After the Devils leap-frogged the Jackets with a win at Columbus earlier this week, the Blue Jackets can return the favor with a win at New Jersey tonight. Columbus comes into this game off of back to back losses and the impressive thing about that is that we're two months into the season already and only once this entire season have the Blue Jackets lost more than two games in a row. Look for Columbus to respond big tonight. The Devils did start hot this season but they were truly over-achieving. New Jersey quickly came back down to reality with losses in 9 of 15 games prior to the upset win at Columbus on Tuesday. That is why there is such good value here in backing the better team in a revenge role and at a small price on the road. The Blue Jackets have won 5 of 7 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season while the Devils, in the last 3 seasons, have lost 12 of 16 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. In Friday games Columbus has won 23 of 35 while New Jersey has lost 22 of 29. After scoring 4 or more goals the Devils have lost 26 of 41 games. The Blue Jackets have won 5 of 7 this season when they are off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. Bet Columbus on the money line in early evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Vancouver Canucks, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Flyers are looking to make it 3 straight wins and are building momentum here. Also, even though goalie Brian Elliott will be playing back to back games, he has been playing very well and is eyeing career win #200 tonight. The Flyers are certainly going to bring their A game here in front of him as they seek revenge for a 5-2 home loss to the Canucks last month. Philadelphia has won 9 of its last 12 visits to Vancouver. The Canucks have a huge divisional game on deck at Calgary Saturday. While Vancouver is in a lookahead spot here the Flyers are fully focused as they have a full 4 days off after tonight's game. To get a 3-0 road trip and then a nice, long break was the plan for Philly heading into this much needed break away from the pressures of home. The Flyers are getting healthier and more confident. After back to back wins, they catch the Canucks off of a shutout win and with that big game against the Flames on deck. Truly perfect timing for another underdog win for the road team here. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Edmonton Oilers, Wednesday at 9:35 PM ET
The Oilers are giving the start to Laurent Brossoit between the pipes because Cam Talbot is still hurt and they've decided to give him one more shot. However, how many chances does a guy get? He is 1-4 in his 5 starts this season! He also is 0-4 in non-conference games with an ugly .867 save percentage. In his most recent start (and first in conference action) Brossoit allowed 4 third period goals (including a few very soft ones) that nearly resulted in the Oilers losing the game. Now he and Edmonton take on a determined Flyers team that after earning points in only 5 of their last 10 (but 0 wins) finally got back into the win column in Calgary Monday. Look for that to start the Philadelphia turnaround as they've eyed this western Canada road trip as a great shot to get back on track and it already began on the right foot with the 5-2 win over the Flames. Though the Flyers were severely outshot in that game, much of it had to with being up 4-1 by the time the game was only mid-way through the 2nd period. Even though Edmonton has revenge from a loss at Philly earlier this season, the Oilers have lost 10 of 12 this season when playing with revenge. Also, the Oilers 7-5 win Saturday was over the biggest rival (provincial rival Calgary) and Edmonton has gone 0-4 this season when off of a divisional game. Nice set up here to grab the road dog with the edge between the pipes. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5.5 goals Anaheim Ducks @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
This is a revenge game for the Ducks. Not only did Vegas beat them 4-2 two weeks ago in Anaheim, the Golden Knights completely dominated with a 49-19 edge in shots on goal. The Ducks are also 6 points behind Vegas in the standings so you know Anaheim is going to bring their A game tonight. We expect this to result in a very fast-paced uptempo game. The Golden Knights have averaged 38 shots on goal per game in their last 4 home games. Overall, the Knights have averaged 3.5 goals this season but prior to the tight 3-2 win versus Arizona, Vegas had given up 3.8 goals per game in their 16 prior games! The over is 5-1 when Vegas is off of a divisional game and the Golden Knights are 6-1 to the over in home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Ducks have had only 10 unders the last 36 times they've entered a game where they've played 3 or more consecutive road games leading into that game. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Calgary Flames, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Flyers are mired in a 10-game losing streak (0-5-5) that is their worst stretch in nearly 10 years! Oftentimes the best thing for a team enduring a stretch like this is to go on the road. This is the opener of a 3-game swing in Western Canada and the Flyers are fired up and ready to go after a home shutout versus Boston Saturday was surely their low point. They know that was certainly one game during this tough stretch where they did not play well. Philadelphia is talking very strongly about this road trip to Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver as a chance to right the ship in a big way. That is part of the reason you're seeing an interesting line move here. The majority of the bets for this one have come in on Calgary and yet the price on the Flames is moving lower. What that tells you is where the smart money is and, on Monday night, we're a part of that smart money! The Flyers are starting Brian Elliott in goal and he was with the Flames last season. Philadelphia wants badly to win this game for Elliott and also to end their slide. Philly has earned points in 4 of their past 5 road games but they just haven't been able to get over the hump with a win. Tonight we feel they'll do just that! Calgary is off of a divisional loss to Edmonton and the Flames have lost 39 of 67 (-$12,200) when off of a divisional game. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in late evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 6 goals: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Edmonton Oilers, Thursday at 9:05 PM ET
Edmonton is expected to start back-up goalie Laurent Brossoit in this one. He has an ugly .881 save percentage on the season. The Maple Leafs will have Frederik Andersen between the pipes but the Leafs haven't been doing a great job in front of their netminders of late. Prior to the 4-1 win at Calgary, this led to 4 goals allowed in 3 of Toronto's last 4 games. The Leafs 4-1 win over the Flames was the 5th time in their last 6 road games that they have scored at least 4 goals! The Oilers come into this game having averaged 3.6 goals per game in their last 8 games. Edmonton appears to have turned the corner with wins in 3 of their last 4 games but the upper body injury for Cam Talbot literally "hurts"! The over is 3-1 in Oilers home games with a total set at 6 or more goals. The over is 6-3 this season when the Maple Leafs are off of a non-conference game. The money has come in on Boston for this match-up because they are off of a loss and rested while Tampa Bay is off of a win and playing with no rest here. However, what is being overlooked in this match-up is that the Bolts are fully focused on at least finishing this 4-game road trip with a .500 record and now they can do that by getting another win tonight after they had lost the first two games of this road trip. The Bolts had won 7 of their first 9 road games this season before those two losses and they're hell-bent on building another road winning streak now. The Bruins have lost 50 of 87 (-20.8 net units) when facing a team with a winning record. Boston is also winless in 3 divisional games this season while Tampa Bay has won 5 of their 6 divisional games this season. Also, the Lightning have won 59 of 95 against teams with a losing record. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Dallas Stars Money Line (-) over Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Stars are playing with revenge here as they lost 2-1 at home against Vegas earlier this season despite peppering the Golden Knights with 46 shots on goal and completely out playing them. Now the Stars finally get their chance at revenge and this is a "Dad Trip" for Dallas as 15 of the players brought their fathers along for this game. Not that this is the only key edge because it most certainly is not but you know damn sure that the Stars are ready to deliver a huge game in front of fathers and other family in attendance for this huge revenge game. While Ben Bishop has certainly not performed between the pipes the way he was expected to, he still rates a huge edge over the Golden Knights goal-tending situation which is in disarray right now. Vegas has been hurt badly by injuries at the goalie position and they have other injury issues with their skaters too as they prepare to definitely face the wrath of the Stars in this game. Dallas is off of a 6-4 home win versus Calgary and the Stars have won 7 of 10 this season when off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more in their prior game. This is the first time this season that the upstart Knights (in their expansion season) will be facing a team that is playing with revenge against them. As strong as Vegas has been this season (very surprising) they are banged up right now and also facing a team many expect to be a Stanley Cup contender as the season goes on and we fully expect the Stars to make an emphatic statement in this game. Payback time. Bet Dallas on the money line in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5 goals in Montreal Canadiens vs Columbus Blue Jackets, Monday at 7:35 PM ET
This total has dropped from a 5.5 to a 5 in most books. 5 is a key number in hockey since a 2-2 game guarantees at least a 3-2 final and we like the value being offered here. Columbus is off of a huge 5-2 home and the over is 6-2 this season when the Blue Jackets scored 4 or more goals in their prior game. The Canadiens are playing with revenge here after losing to the Blue Jackets two weeks ago. That is significant because the over is 22-11 when Montreal is playing with home revenge. Also, the Habs are off of a shutout win versus the Sabres and the last 8 times that the Canadiens have shutout a team only twice (in 8 games) has their next match-up stayed under the total. Neither hockey club has been scoring a lot of goals of late and that has made it a big focus here for each team. Additionally, all trending and situational factors (as notated above) are pointing to an over. Grab the value with the total sitting on a key number (5 goals) here! ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) over New York Rangers, Sunday at 2:05 PM ET
The Canucks are off a 3-2 loss at New Jersey Friday even though they played a very strong third period and came very close to the equalizing goal. Vancouver had started off this lengthy road trip by winning each of the first two games by impressive 5-2 margins over the Penguins and Flyers. Also, when the Canucks enter a game having played each of their three prior games on the road, Vancouver has won 4 of 5 (80%) this season! The Rangers have lost 5 of 8 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season. Even though goalie Henrik Lundqvist has been playing very well he is continuing to get peppered with too many shots on goal in most of his starts. That eventually catches up with a netminder and the Canucks are hungry here! The road team won both meetings last season and we look for Vancouver to resume their winning run here while the Rangers inadvertently overlook this Western Conference foe centered between two Eastern Conference clubs. Dallas has lost 5 of the last 7 starts that goalie Ben Bishop has made. The Stars won at Calgary last month and the Flames are looking to return the favor here. Strong odds for that considering the road team has taken 3 of the last 4 meetings. The Flames have won 2 of their last 3 visits to Dallas. Calgary has won 29 of 48 games when off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. That includes 3 of 4 in that situation for the Flames this season. Grab the value with the road dog here! ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (+) over Nashville Predators, Monday at 8:05 PM ET
The Jets have won 8 of their last 10 games but they are a dog here because, of course, Nashville is a quality hockey club. The key to the value here is that the Predators have won only 3 of their last 5 home games so it is not like they've been dominating on home ice. Also, even though the Preds have been winning of late, they have been giving up a lot of goals. Nashville, even though #1 goalie Pekka Rinne has been getting the starts, has allowed 15 goals in their last 4 games. In stark contrast to those numbers, the Jets have allowed just 2 goals or less in 10 of their last 12 games. There really is no comparison in terms of how these two teams have been playing in their own end. The result is great underdog line value here that we won't pass up! Winnipeg is a perfect 4-0 in divisional action this season and they get revenge for a loss at Nashville in their most recent visit here. Bet Winnipeg on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* UNDER 5.5 goals - Buffalo Sabres @ Detroit Red Wings, Friday at 7:35 PM ET
The Red Wings exploded for a huge 8-2 win over Calgary Wednesday but Detroit has recorded 25 of 37 unders when off of a game where they scored 4 goals or more. Also, Buffalo is off of a 5-4 loss at Pittsburgh but that is the only over they have recorded in the past 2 weeks. In fact, the Sabres have recorded 17 of 22 unders in November games the past 2+ seasons. After allowing 4 or more goals, Buffalo has had just 3 overs in 10 games this season. As you see per the above, both teams are likely to be emphasizing defense after the wild games they were involved with in their most recent games respectively. Also, only 3 of the last 10 match-ups between these clubs have resulted in an over. It is a divisional game and, as a general rule, these match-ups tend to be more physical and defensive-minded with much less open ice. The Red Wings have seen 6 of their 7 divisional match-ups this season stay under the total. We expect more of the same in this one. Bet the UNDER in Detroit in early evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Florida Panthers Money Line (+) over San Jose Sharks, Thursday at 10:35 PM ET
The Sharks have certainly been hot but this is the perfect spot to fade them and with their money line moving even higher there there is tremendous line value in grabbing the Panthers in this one. San Jose is off of back to back divisional wins including a come-from-behind win over the rival Los Angeles Kings. Now the Sharks take on a non-conference foe and the Panthers are known for giving San Jose a lot of trouble. The Sharks have lost 8 of their last 12 meetings with Florida including 5 of the last 6 here in San Jose! Also, the Panthers Roberto Luongo certainly seems full recovered from the hand injury he suffered earlier this season as Florida's #1 goalie has allowed an average of just 2 goals in his last 3 starts. The Panthers are more likely to be the motivated team here as they have lost 3 of their last 4 road games. Adding to the superb underdog line value here is the fact that Florida's head coach Bob Boughner was an assistant under San Jose's Peter DeBoer. You'd better believe Boughner and the underdog Panthers are "up" for this game and certainly he knows a ton about the inner workings of the Sharks and that will also play to the advantage of the big road dog in this one. Bet Florida on the money line in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5.5 goals in Boston Bruins at Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Bruins are off of a 4-1 home loss to Toronto Saturday but the over is 5-1 this season when Boston faces a team with a losing record. The Ducks are off of a 2-1 home loss to Tampa Bay Sunday but the over is 4-2 this season when Anaheim faces a team with a losing record. In a road game with a total set at 5.5 goals, the Bruins are 4-0 to the over this season. After scoring 1 goal or less in their prior game, Boston is 3-0 to the over this season. The Ducks, before scoring just 1 goal Sunday, had averaged scoring 3.4 goals per game in their last 5 home games. The Bruins have allowed 3 or more goals in 5 straight games. The Ducks have allowed an average of 3.2 goals per game in their last 9 games. Bet the OVER in Anaheim in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 6 goals in Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights are down to their #4 goalie as Fleury, Subban, and Dansk are all injured. The #4 netminder for Vegas is Lagace and he is off of a solid start at home but he has often struggled on the road. The Golden Knights have allowed 4.2 goals per game in their last 6 road games and Lagace was the starter in 5 of those! The strength of the Vegas team has been a determined and relentless team up front and that has led to the Golden Knights scoring an average of 3.8 goals per game in their last 14 games! Vegas is off of a 5-2 home win and the over is 4-0 this season when the Golden Knights are off of a win by a margin of 2 goals or more. The Oilers are off of a frustrating 2-1 loss at Washington that was decided after regulation in a game in which Edmonton never trailed. As a result, we expect an offensive explosion here from the Oilers because they were frustrated by that road loss. Also, Edmonton suffered a rare shutout loss in their most recent home game and they want to make amends for that here. That means plenty of offense can be expected. The last 47 times the Oilers are off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less, only 17 of the 47 games have resulted in an under. Bet the OVER in Edmonton in late evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5.5 goals in St Louis Blues at Calgary Flames, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The first match-up between these clubs this season totaled 7 goals and we expect a similar result tonight. The over is 3-0 in the Flames last 3 games and each one totaled at least 8 goals. The Blues are off of a loss in their most recent game but previously had won 9 of their past 11 games and St Louis averaged scoring 4 goals per game in those 9 victories. Coming off of a home loss Saturday, the Blues will hit the ice with plenty of energy tonight and will look to pressure the Flames early and often like they did in the 5-2 win last month. Calgary has been off since a big win versus Detroit Thursday. The Flames have gone over in 8 of 12 when they enter a game on rest of 3 or more days. Also, Calgary has gone over in 5 of 7 this season when they are at home and the total is set at 5.5 goals. The Flames have gone over the total in 34 of 55 when they are off of a game where they scored 4 goals or more. Bet the OVER in Calgary in late evening action Monday.

ASA 9* PLAY ON New Jersey Devils money line (+) over Chicago Blackhawks, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
Both teams are off of wins yesterday but they came in much different ways. The Devils were up 2-0 and never trailed in a 2-1 win. The Blackhawks had to rally from a 2-goal deficit and then won in overtime. While Chicago expended a lot of energy in the comeback win, New Jersey was in 'game management' mode in yesterday's win versus Florida. Even though the Devils have cooled off since their hot start, they are viewing this road trip as a trip to get right back on track and the Blackhawks certainly haven't been impressive of late. Chicago, since winning their 1st two games of the season, has only won back to back games one single time the past 5 weeks! New Jersey, has already had three 3-game winning streaks this season and has never had a standalone win. In other words, yesterday's victory certainly could be the start of their next big streak. Also, considering New Jersey has certainly been the superior team (in comparison with the Blackhawks early this season), Chicago is significantly over-priced here! We're grabbing the under-valued big dog that has plenty of motivation here. The Blackhawks won both meetings last season so the Devils are seeking some payback here. Chicago has lost 3 of 4 this season when playing the 2nd game of a back to back while New Jersey has won 2 of 3 when playing the 2nd game of a back to back this season. We look for that trending to hold true again in this one! Big value with this line. Bet the New Jersey Devils money line in early evening action Sunday.
