ASA PLAY ON 9* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over New Jersey Devils, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
Perfect set up here. The Devils are off a huge upset win over the division rival Penguins last night. The Senators are off a tough overtime loss to the Lightning Sunday. Ottawa gave up a late goal that led to the post-regulation loss. The Sens had a players-only meeting after the game. Also video now surfaced from the Senators recent road trip where the players were privately criticizing one of their coaches. All has come to the surface now and this Ottawa team is ready to make amends for all tonight and they are catching New Jersey at the right time to do it. Hungry and fired up, look for the Senators to play one of their best games of the season tonight. Ottawa has won 4 of the past 6 meetings between these teams. The Devils had lost 6 of their last 7 games before the upset win at Pittsburgh last night. New Jersey has lost 37 of 61 when off a divisional game. Also, NJ has lost 3 of 4 road games with a total of 6 goals or more this season. The home team is 9-3 in Devils games this season and we look for that trend to resume tonight after that rare road upset last night for New Jersey. Bet underdog Ottawa on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line (+) over Boston Bruins, Monday at 7:05 PM ET
The Stars are on a red hot run on enemy ice as they have won 3 straight road games and they haven't trailed for a single second in any of those games. Speaking of road domination, the road team is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings between the Stars and Bruins. With how hot Dallas has been, and the fact that Boston is struggling to get scoring from anywhere other than their top line, this looks like a great spot to grab the big dog value with the underdog Stars. The Bruins have been out-shot in 4 of their last 5 games and this includes being out-shot by a margin of 84 to 57 in their last two games. Dallas has a ton of positive energy right now and head coach Jim Montgomery has been referencing what he is seeing with this group which has not been seen before. The Stars are filled with determination and focus and a lot of belief among the players that simply has them in steamroll mode right now. Look for the Bruins to struggle to match the Stars here as Boston has scored an average of only 1.9 goals per game in their last 8 games. The Stars, on the other hand, have averaged scoring 3.5 goals per game in their last 6 games - 5 of which were wins. Per our math model, look for yet another Stars victory here and it comes at a great plus money price! Bet underdog Dallas on the money line in early evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line (+) over Toronto Maple Leafs, Thursday at 7:05 PM ET
The Stars are off a win and the Maple Leafs are off a loss so those who firmly back the "zig zag theory" will be backing the Leafs at home in this one. However, the fact is that there is great value here with revenge-minded Dallas in this one. Earlier this season the Stars lost on home ice to Toronto. Keep in mind Dallas also got swept by the Maple Leafs last season. This is a payback spot for Dallas and the fact is that the Leafs have been struggling in multiple ways. For one thing, Toronto has lost 4 of its last 6 home games. For another thing, the Maple Leafs have scored an average of just 1.8 goals per game in their last 5 games overall. Conversely, the Stars have averaged 3.8 goals per game in their last 4 games and, per our computer math model, Dallas stays red hot in the offensive zone in this one while the Leafs struggle as they are still in their adjustment phase as a result of the Auston Matthews injury. The Maple Leafs also could get caught looking past this non-conference foe and looking ahead to a match-up with the Penguins Saturday. Pittsburgh handed Toronto their lone shutout loss this season. Bet underdog Dallas on the money line in early evening action Thursday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* New Jersey Devils Money Line (+) over Tampa Bay Lightning, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
Perfect situation for a very hungry road dog. The Devils had won 3 straight regular season games over the Lightning entering the post-season last spring. The Bolts got their revenge in the first round of the playoffs as they took the series 4 games to 1. Now it is New Jersey seeking revenge and this spot is ideal for them to get it. While key D-man Victor Hedman is definitely out today and key left-winger Ondrej Palat is also likely to miss for the Lightning, the Devils are actually getting healthier. A number of New Jersey players are now getting healthy and goalie Cory Schneider is back from injury which is great news for the Devils but Keith Kinkaid is likely to get the start here. Kinkaid is seeking playoff revenge in this match-up. He was strong in winning his regular season start versus the Lightning last season but then they got the best of him early in last year's post-season series. Payback time here and the Devils are the healthier team and hungrier team entering this one. Also, the Lightning are off a 7-1 loss and they are an unimpressive 19-18 when off a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. The Devils have won 22 of their last 35 (+$12,500) Tuesday games and are off two days of rest and heading to Tampa Bay with a full head of steam. They are unlikely to be denied here and offering significant underdog value in this spot. Bet underdog New Jersey on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Nashville Predators Money Line (-) over New Jersey Devils, Thursday @ 7:05 PM ET
The Predators are off a home loss to the Sharks where they blew a 2-goal 3rd period lead. Of course this is something that RARELY happens and you can bet on a fired up Nashville team taking the ice at New Jersey tonight. The Devils have been hot early this season but they are cooling off as expected and another issue for New Jersey right now is that injuries are mounting. That sets this one up well for a dominating road win for the Preds. Nashville has won 5 straight road games overall. Also, New Jersey has lost 4 of its last 6 home games versus the Predators. Bet Nashville on the money line (-) in early evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over Boston Bruins, Tuesday @ 7:35 PM ET
The Senators are getting healthier as players return. The Bruins have lost some key personnel during this road trip. The Bruins still have a fantastic top line, one of the best in the league, but losing depth in other areas (especially the blue line) recently has not helped Boston. The Bruins enter this game having lost 3 straight on the road. The Senators are seeking revenge for a 6-3 loss at Boston about two weeks ago and the Sens enter this game having won 3 straight. Ottawa is averaging scoring 4 goals per game this season while the Bruins have averaged scoring just 1.8 goals per game in their 5 road games this season! Boston has won 5 straight meetings between these clubs but Ottawa had won 8 of the 10 prior meetings! This looks like the perfect spot for payback and it comes at a big plus money return with the home dog Senators! In road games with a total set at 6 goals or more, the Bruins have lost 92 of 157. The Sens have won 3 of 4 this season when off a game where they scored 4 or more goals in their prior game. Clearly the hotter team at home and at the right price (big comeback price) has us betting the Senators here! Bet Ottawa on the money line (+) in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) vs Washington Capitals, Monday @ 10:05 PM ET
The Capitals finally won a Stanley Cup in June and now they're quickly finding out what it is like to have a target on your backs each and every night. Washington has struggled early this season as everyone is gunning for them and it won't get any easier tonight as they take on a Canucks team that has jelled quicker than expected early this season. Vancouver has won 4 of its last 5 games and is also 4-1 versus Eastern Conference teams this season. The Capitals have lost 4 of their last 6 games and also are 0-2 this season versus teams with a winning record and also 0-2 in road games with a total set at 6 or more goals. The home team won both match-ups handily last season and we expect that trend to continue here. The Caps have allowed an average of nearly 5 goals per game the last 6 games. The Canucks have allowed an average of only 2 goals per game their last 5 games. Also, will Washington possibly be peeking ahead at a "star power" match-up with Connor McDavid and the Oilers? After facing the Canucks, the Capitals head to Alberta to face Edmonton and Calgary. Bet Vancouver on the money line (+) in late night action Monday.

The Flames are 4-2 this season and are at home while the Predators are 5-1 on the season but on the road here. The key to this play? That lone loss the Preds have on their record was an embarrassing 3-0 home loss a little over a week ago. In other words, it is time for payback here for Nashville as they look to return the favor at Calgary. The Preds have won 16 of their last 21 road games that had a total set at 6 or more goals. Also, the Predators have won 18 of 24 games when they enter a match-up having played each of their 3 prior games at home. The Flames have lost 45 of their last 77 games against teams with a winning record. Road revenge at a great value price is the play here! Bet Nashville on the money line (-) in evening action Friday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Tampa Bay Lightning Puck Line (-1.5 goals) vs Detroit Red Wings, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
On April 21, 2016 the Lightning won game 5 of a first round playoff series with the Red Wings to take the series 4 games to 1. Ever since that game these teams have met 8 times the past two seasons and, of course, Detroit has had revenge on their minds in every single game but they have lost every time. The fact is that the once-mighty Red Wings just might be the worst team in the league now while Tampa Bay just might be the best team in the league. Certainly the Bolts are a legitimate Stanley Cup contender and the amazing thing is that they are so deep in terms of their scoring. The Lightning don't even have to have their biggest stars off to hot starts to be able to have put forth a strong start to this season. That said, Tampa Bay is actually "scary good" right now for opponents while the Red Wings are truly "scary bad". Detroit is winless in their 6 games this season and also winless in their last 10 meetings with the Lightning. Tampa Bay will NOT let up here as they have a 5-game road trip on deck. This is the final home game for the Bolts until October 30th so they want to make this one count in a big way! Tampa's last two wins have come by a combined score of 12-4 while the Red Wings last 3 losses have come by a combined score of 20-8. With that said, we love the value with the Lightning on the Puck Line in this one. Of course on the money line the Bolts are about a 3 to 1 favorite here. However, on the puck line, we get them at a pick'em price by laying the 1.5 goals and our math model forecast is a win by a 3 goal margin in this game. The Lightning are the better team in all phases all over the ice and that shows in a big way on Thursday as the Bolts make it 11 straight wins over the Red Wings with a blowout home win. Bet Tampa Bay on the puck line (-1.5 goals) in evening action Thursday.

The Bruins have scored at least 4 goals in all 4 games of their current winning streak. The Flames have averaged scoring 4 goals per game during a solid winning run that has seen them win 3 of their last 4 games. All 3 of the starts that Boston's Tuukka Rask has made this season have resulted in an over. Rask has been announced as the starter for tonight's game as Jaroslav Halak is expected to get the start tomorrow night at Edmonton. Calgary is likely to have Mike Smith in the crease for this one. The Flames netminder has seen all but 1 of his 4 starts this season result in an over. Boston's power play has been great this season but their penalty kill has struggled - a perfect recipe for a lot of special teams goals! Bet the OVER in Calgary in late evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Carolina Hurricanes @ Tampa Bay Lightning, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
The Hurricanes were rolling with 4 straight wins but then ran into an angry Jets team Sunday and got beat 3-1. The key to the value with the over here is that the Hurricanes had averaged scoring 5.3 goals per game their 4 games prior to running into a fired up Winnipeg hockey club. Now, on Tuesday, the Canes offense should get back on track as they take advantage of facing Louis Domingue, the back-up goalie for the Bolts, in this one. However, Tampa Bay's offense is off of an 8-goal outburst in their most recent game and feeling very confident heading into this home match-up. So, while the Lightning are poised for another big game in the offensive zone, don't be surprised if Carolina answers Tampa goal for goal in this one! The over is 3-1 in the Hurricanes last 4 games. Only 5 of 13 (38%) of Carolina's road games with a total set at 6 or more goals have resulted in an under. The Lightning are 16-9-4 to the over when playing with two days of rest between games. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Carolina Hurricanes @ Winnipeg Jets, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
The Hurricanes are rolling with 4 straight wins but they run into an angry Jets team here. While the Canes were in action last night the Jets have been off since Thursday. That result on Thursday was a 3-0 loss at Nashville. Winnipeg has had to wait 2 full off days to get a chance to get the bad taste out of their mouth and they will be fired up and should score plenty of goals in what will be just their 2nd home game of the season. The key to the value with the over here is that the Hurricanes have averaged scoring 5.3 goals per game their last 4 games. So, while the Jets are poised for a big breakout game in the offensive zone, don't be surprised if Carolina answers Winnipeg goal for goal in this one! The over is 3-0 in the Hurricanes last 3 games. Only 4 of 12 (33%) of Carolina's road games with a total set at 6 or more goals have resulted in an under. The Jets are 20-11-1 to the over when playing with two days of rest between games. The Golden Knights have only scored 2 goals in all 5 games but they've deserved much better. Statistically the Golden Knights have been playing much better than their 2 goals per game would lead you to believe. Look for them to push plenty past the Flyers goalie in this one as Philadelphia has allowed 5.7 goals per game since they held the Knights to just 2 at Vegas in their season opener. While Philly has had some issues in their own zone, they have averaged scoring 4 goals per game on the season and you can see why we like the over 6 so much in this match-up as a result. Look for the over to improve to 10-5-1 the last 16 times that the Flyers have played a home game with a total set at 6 goals. Bet the OVER in Philadelphia in very early afternoon action Saturday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Washington Capitals, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
Playing in opposite conferences of course this will be the only chance that Vegas has this season to knock off the Capitals in DC. The Golden Knights are seeking revenge after seeing the Capitals end their amazing run at a Stanley Cup title last season. Though Vegas is off to a slow start this season this team is still loaded with talent and they catch Washington off a long layoff that could have the Caps a little flat here. Also, the Capitals are in a divisional sandwich as they are off a game versus the Penguins and have a game against the Devils tomorrow. Washington, of course, wouldn't look past Vegas but, the same time, there is no arguing the point that this game means much more to the revenge-minded Golden Knights than it does to the Capitals. Vegas has won 18 of 29 when off a game where they allowed 4 or more goals. Extra rest has not served the Caps well as Washington has lost 13 of 20 when they enter a game off 3 or more days of rest. In this case, the Capitals haven't played in nearly a week. Bet Vegas on the money line (-) in evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Anaheim Ducks Puck Line (-1.5 goals) vs Detroit Red Wings, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
The Red Wings are very banged up on the blue line. A number of defensemen are out for Detroit. That is going to make this back to back spot even tougher for the Wings as they battled the Kings last night and lost. Detroit is now 0-2 on the season while Anaheim is a perfect 2-0 on the season. Of course the money line is up in the 2 to 1 range and that is why we're grabbing the value with the puck line. By laying the 1.5 goals with the Ducks were are able to get a solid plus money return on Anaheim. The Ducks have won their two games by a combined score of 6 to 2 as goalie John Gibson is off to a stellar start this season. Anaheim won their last home game versus Detroit by 2 goals and another big home win is likely here. Non only are the Ducks catching the Red Wings in a back to back, Anaheim had two days off after the first game and the Ducks were off yesterday too and they are off tomorrow. Full focus here for Anaheim. The Ducks have won 36 of their last 51 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Red Wings have lost 47 of 67 when off a game where they allowed 4 or more goals. They are likely to prove to be no match here for an improving Columbus team that has ascended to near the top of the Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets have won all 6 meetings with the Red Wings the past two seasons and we look for that dominance to continue here. In home games with a total of 5.5 goals, Detroit has lost 35 of 58. ASA PLAY ON 9* Toronto Maple Leafs Puck Line (-1.5 goals) vs Montreal Canadiens, Wednesday at 7:05 PM ET
Toronto is on the ascension in a big way while the Canadiens struggle continue. Of course that is why the Maple Leafs are north of a 2 to 1 money line favorite in their season opener versus division rival Montreal Wednesday. That said, what we like here is the value with the puck line as we can lay the 1.5 goals and, in turn, we get a plus money return offered back to us. The Canadiens are missing a couple of their Top Six defensemen, David Slemko and Shea Weber, and also the Habs simply won't be able to stop the powerhouse Maple Leafs forwards. Montreal lost 17 of the 21 road starts made by goalie Carey Price last season! Toronto won 27 of the 38 home starts made by Frederik Anderson. This is simply a mismatch all the way around and a home victory by a multiple-goal margin can be expected. The Canadiens have lost 10 of their last 12 road games with a total set at 6 or more goals. The Maple Leafs have won 28 of their last 41 home games with a total set at 6 goals or more. Bet Toronto on the puck line (-1.5 goals) in early evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Washington Capitals Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Thursday at 8:05 PM ET
The concern for Vegas fans is that the Capitals continue to do a great job of clogging up the neutral zone and forcing turnovers leading to odd man rushes for Washington. The Caps have been, by far, the much better team in comparison with the Knights in the past three games and have won those games by a combined score of 12 to 5. Washington is 23-14 this season in road games with a total set at 5.5 goals and they offer up great value as a sizable road dog here. Vegas, being a Cinderella story, continues to get some additional attention from the betting markets. This is what results in extra value in spots like this. The Golden Knights just haven't shown the same ability that the Capitals have in terms of capitalizing on scoring chances. Washington has looked like the much hungrier team in each of the last 3 games and we look for another Caps W here as they finish off the series. Alexander Ovechkin and his loyal teammates have the look of a team that will not be denied in their quest to finally get "The Great Eight" the Stanley Cup that has eluded him for so many years. We just don't see the Capitals losing here as they are already 3-0 this post-season when they've gotten to a potential closeout game and these 3 victories also all came on enemy ice. ASA PLAY ON 9* Washington Capitals Money Line (-) vs Vegas Golden Knights, Monday at 8:05 PM ET
With their loss in Game 3 on Saturday, the Golden Knights have dropped to just 26-22 in their last 48 road games. Hardly impressive numbers and the concern for Vegas fans is that the Capitals are doing a great job of clogging up the neutral zone and forcing turnovers leading to odd man rushes for Washington. The Caps have been, by far, the much better team in comparison with the Knights in the past two games. Washington is 31-15 in their last 46 road games and, priced as just a small fave here, you can see that there is strong value on the Capitals given they've won about 2/3 of their home games since November 1st while the Golden Knights have generally been only a 50-50 proposition when away from Vegas over roughly the same time span. Vegas, being a Cinderella story, has gotten some additional attention from the betting markets. This is what results in extra value in spots like this. In home games with an O/U set at 5.5 goals, the Capitals have won 44 of 64 - 69% winning rate. We look for another W here as the Caps take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. Alexander Ovechkin and his loyal teammates have the look of a team that will not be denied in their quest to finally get "The Great Eight" the Stanley Cup that has eluded him for so many years. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER 5.5 goals in Washington Capitals vs Vegas Golden Knights, Saturday at 8:15 PM ET
The Golden Knights, prior to the Game 2 loss, had only suffered 3 losses in this post-season. Their record after a loss was 3-0 and they've averaged scoring 4 goals per game in those 3 victories. That said, we love the value here with the over set at only 5.5 goals and plenty of goals likely. The first two games have averaged 7.5 goals per game. The Capitals have averaged 3.5 goals per game in their last 11 home games. 8 of those 11 games totaled at least 6 goals which, again, is why we see such great value here with this total set at 5.5 goals and the over available at plus money. When tied in a playoff series the Golden Knights are 3-0 to the over. Also, the over is an incredible 11-0 the last 11 times the Capitals have played a home game with a total set at 5.5 goals. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Washington Capitals Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
You have to go all the way back to early March - a span of nearly THREE months - to find the last time Washington has suffered consecutive losses on the road. Since then, the Capitals are 4-0 when on the road and off of a loss in their most recent road game. The Caps were completely ripped off in the Game 1 loss. Yes each team had some "breaks" go their way in the game but NONE were bigger than what happened in the 3rd period. The Capitals had silenced the crowd and taken the lead 4-3 (wasn't their first lead of the game either) and then, right in front of Washington's goal the Golden Knights Ryan Reaves gave a textbook cross-check (the type called for a penalty without question 100% of the time) to his defender and then had a wide open point blank shot on goal to tie the game. So in this case, instead of the Capitals being up 4-3 and going on the power play with a strong chance to take a 5-3 lead, the momentum and flow of the game was changed completely by Vegas tying the game on a goal that NEVER should have counted. No team has had as much luck in the post-season as the Golden Knights and, at the same time, they certainly have earned the respect they've been given. But, the point is, there is only so many ridiculous breaks a team can get and Vegas is VERY over-priced here with the hungry Capitals, led by a very determined Alexander Ovechkin, playing with tremendous grit and determination after the Golden Knights stole (literally) the Game 1 win. Situations just don't get much better than this, especially with a strong road team that is a sizable dog, and the Capitals should improve to 5-1 in this post-season when trailing in a playoff series. Also note that this is only the 5th time this season that the Golden Knights have had a winning streak of 5 or more games. 3 of the first 4 times (5 straight wins) ended with a loss in game #6 of the streak. This one makes it 4 out of 5 as once again a Vegas winning streak ends at 5 games. The physical Caps (out-hit the Golden Knights 38-25 in Game 1) once again bring a huge effort in Game 2 but this time they get the win they deserve. The Capitals wrapped up the Eastern Conference Finals with back to back shutout wins. On the season, when Washington enters a game off of 2 or more consecutive games where they allowed 2 or less goals, the over has gone 12-4-1 (75%). Also, the the over is 9-1 (90%) this season when the Capitals enter a game with 3 or more days of rest between games. The last 4 times the Golden Knights entered a game with 2 or more days of rest between games only 1 under (25%) has resulted. The other 3 games totaled 22 goals - an average of 7.3 goals per game. Things tend to get a little "crazy" when teams have a layoff between games because the passing and puck-handling tends to not be as strong as it typically would be. With timing off there is a tendency for more turnovers which can, of course, create great scoring opportunities including odd man rushes going the other way. This has not been properly factored into this Game 1 O/U and that is why the over at 5.5 goals is available at a plus money return and this is a fantastic value we won't pass up. Bet the OVER in Vegas in evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (-) vs Washington Capitals, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Lightning came into the post-season as the number one seed in the East. They began by steam-rolling the Devils in the first round in 5 games. Then, after losing Game 1 to Boston in the second round, they responded by winning 4 straight over the Bruins. Surprisingly they next lost two straight games to the Capitals in Tampa Bay but they responded by winning 3 straight games. Now, after a loss in Game 6 at Washington (game much closer than final score would indicate) we look for the Bolts to respond one final time and punch their ticket to the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. Though Capitals goalie Braden Holtby came up with a huge effort in the shutout win (his 1st of the season) Monday, Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has been playing phenomenally well between the pipes for 4 games straight. Give the Caps credit for coming up huge in Game 6 but this is still a Washington team well-known for playoff collapses. Look for Holtby to drop to 2-5 all-time in Game Sevens as the Lightning improve to 5-2 their last 7 when tied in a playoff series. The price is well worth it in this match-up. Bet Tampa Bay on the money line in evening action Wednesday.

The Lightning came into the post-season as the number one seed in the East. They began by steam-rolling the Devils in the first round in 5 games. Then, after losing Game 1 to Boston in the second round, they responded by winning 4 straight over the Bruins. Surprisingly they next lost two straight games to the Capitals in Tampa Bay but they've responded by winning 3 straight games. Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy is back to playing phenomenally well between the pipes. The Capitals are feeling all the pressure in the world after losing 3 straight games and, hence, we get to take the loose and relaxed Bolts as an underdog on the road in Game 6 and fade a Washington team well-known for playoff collapses. Not only has TB won 5 straight road games, 4 of the 5 victories came by a margin of 2 or more goals. The Capitals are just 4-7 in their last 11 home games and the Lightning also have been the much better team on the power play of late. The Bolts are skating very well right now and they have taken over the game flow in this series in the last 3 games with the Capitals only playing well in intermittent, short spurts. We look for the Lightning to improve to 6-1 in this post-season when they enter a game with a lead in the series. All signs point to the Capitals post-season coming to an end tonight as road dominance throughout their post-season resumes here! The Caps wrap up their season with the road team finishing with a 13-5 record in their 18 playoff games in 2018! Bet Tampa Bay on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Winnipeg Jets vs Vegas Golden Knights, Sunday at 3 PM ET
The Jets are going to respond off of 3 straight losses but certainly respect must be given to the Golden Knights and how well they've played in this series. That is what leads us to the over in this match-up as there is great line value here with this total at 6 and available at plus money in most places and then even dropping to 5.5 goals in some spots. Winnipeg has averaged 3.8 goals this season in home games! The over is 18-9 when the Jets enter a game on a losing streak of 3 or more consecutive games. The Golden Knights have scored an average of 3.3 goals per game in their last 6 games. Winnipeg responds but you know Vegas (averaging 3.4 goals per game last 10 games too) is likely to match them goal for goal and that should lead to a real "barn burner" here in Winnipeg. The over is 6-2 the last 8 times the Jets were off of a game decided by 1 goal. After the tight loss in Game 5, look for Game 6 to be a breakout game for the Jets offense. ASA PLAY ON 9* Tampa Bay Lightning Puck Line (-1.5 goals +175) vs Washington Capitals, Saturday at 7:15 PM ET
We expect Tampa Bay to win this contest on home ice as they have totally swung momentum in the series by winning both games at Washington. While we are not fond of laying a big money line price that has led us to simply phenomenal value on the puck line here. While this requires the Lightning to win the game by 2 or more goals note that the comeback price on that is in the +175 range and this is particularly a fantastic value considering the following: 1) The Lightning have lost their last 2 home games but they have not lost 3 straight home games this entire season. 2) Tampa Bay is 4-0 in this situation (looking to avoid 3rd straight home loss) and the wins have come by an average margin of 2.5 goals per victory! 3) Six straight games between these teams (including all 4 in this post-season) have been decided by 2 or more goals. 4) Dating back to late March, a span of nearly 2 months, the Bolts have won 13 games and 12 of the 13 victories came by a multiple-goal margin. In fact, in the last 21 games overall, only 2 of the 21 was a 1-goal game. This is what you call putting the odds in your favor and we're going for the big payback in this one as the Caps are reeling physically and mentally while the Bolts are completely rejuvenated and confident in this series. ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Friday at 8:05 PM ET
The Jets are off of back to back losses for the first time in two months! You have to go all the way back to mid-March to find a stretch where Winnipeg lost consecutive games. Since then the Jets had gone 20-5 in their last 25 games prior to this RARE occurrence of dropping back to back games in this series. Home ice continues to be over-valued in this post-season and the road team has won 6 of Winnipeg's last 7 games. The Jets put a ton of pressure on the Golden Knights in Game 3 and it was a "minor miracle" that Vegas held on for the win. Give credit to Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury but, keep in mind, Winnipeg did get to him for 4 goals in the 1st game of this series. Prior to being held in check in their first road game of this series (Wednesday), the Jets had scored 4 or more goals in 4 straight road games! With all due respect to the upstart Golden Knights, there is a reason that Winnipeg finished ahead of them and have home ice edge in this series. The Jets are too strong and too disciplined of a team to fall into a 3-1 hole in this series and we fully expect them to even up the series tonight. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Washington Capitals vs Tampa Bay Lightning, Thursday at 8 PM ET
6 of the last 7 meetings between these teams have totaled at least 6 goals. The Lightning proved in Game 3 that they are fired up after feeling they played way too tentative on home ice and they now have begun to dig out from an 0-2 hole in this series. The Bolts are a fast-skating team and they'll be on the attack early and often again in this game as they saw how much that paid off in Game 3 as they responded after dropping each of the first two games on home ice. This will again help to set a fast pace and tempo to this game with plenty of end to end action. The Capitals have showed a lot of resiliency throughout this post-season. With that said, we expect the Lightning to jump out to an early lead again here but the Caps will battle back as the game goes on. The over is a long-term 20-6 when the Bolts are trailing in a playoff series! Only 2 of Tampa Bay's last 10 conference finals games have resulted in an under. Only 9 of 26 Lightning road games with a total set at 6 goals or more have resulted in an under. When playing with home loss revenge, only 16 of 46 Capitals games have resulted in an under. The set-up here should absolutely lead to at least 7 to find the back of the net! Bet the OVER in Washington in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (-) vs Vegas Golden Knights, Monday at 8:05 PM ET
We had a Top Play on Winnipeg Saturday and they opened up the series by truly dominating Vegas from the first drop of the puck! The Jets dominance at the The Bell MTS Place (formerly the MTS Centre) continues to be undervalued by the betting markets and we feel this is again a very fair price for taking Winnipeg on home ice in Game 2. The Jets have won 21 of their last 26 home games! The Golden Knights, with the loss in Game 1 are playing only .500 hockey in their last 20 road games. The Jets have scored 4 goals or more in 7 of their last 9 games and Winnipeg also was the best home team in the NHL in the regular season as they went 32-7-2 on home ice! Many will look for Vegas to bounce back here but it is certainly not an easy spot for the Golden Knights as they're now trailing in a playoff series for the very first time ever. Keep in mind the Jets have been playing together a long time (multiple seasons) and have continuity on the ice. The Golden Knights, though very talented and certainly a strong hockey club, just don't have that same experience level as a team because they were just assembled prior to this season. As strong as Vegas is, they are facing arguably the best team in hockey in this series and this looks like another road loss for them. Bet Winnipeg on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (-) vs Vegas Golden Knights, Saturday at 7:05 PM ET
You saw it last night and you can expect a repeat tonight. Much was made about the Capitals coming off of the more grueling series to reach the Eastern Conference semi-finals and the fact that Tampa Bay had more rest. The Caps two series had been decided in 6 games apiece while the Bolts two series had been decided in 5 games apiece. As we've discussed in the past, more often than not in hockey, playing more games is even better. It keeps timing top-notch and keeps teams crisp in terms of their passing and puck handling. Tonight we have a similar situation to last night's game. The Golden Knights swept their 1st round series and the Jets won theirs in 5 games. Vegas then took their 2nd round series in 6 games while Winnipeg got stretched to 7 games. However, just like last night, the perceived advantage for the Golden Knights will not be there. The fact is that Vegas hasn't played since Sunday and too much time off is not a good thing! Look for their timing to be a little off and look for the Jets, particularly because they are on home ice, to jump on them from the outset. Yes, Winnipeg just played on Thursday but they did have two days off prior to that. This will be just the 2nd game for the Jets since Monday. That type of rest is ideal...the amount of rest the Golden Knights have had is not...it is too much! Also, the last time that Winnipeg was on home ice as a rare embarrassing home loss. The Jets were the best home ice team in the NHL this season. You can bank on a response for the hockey-crazed home fans in Winnipeg! The Jets loss on home ice Monday was just their 11th this season and it was just the 3rd time this season that they've lost 2 consecutive home games. They have NEVER lost 3 consecutive games on home ice all season! Also, even in these RARE back to back losses (followed 13 straight wins), the Jets outshot their opponent in both games. Bet Winnipeg on the money line in early evening action Saturday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Washington Capitals @ Tampa Bay Lightning, Friday at 8 PM ET
3 of the last 4 meetings between these teams have totaled at least 6 goals. Also, this will be the 11th time (regular season and playoffs) this season in which the Capitals have had 3 or more days of rest between games. So far there have been 9 overs and 1 under when Washington is in this situation. The Capitals are so relieved to finally have gotten past Pittsburgh in a playoff series that they may be surprised by the aggressive attack and speed that the Lightning will play with here. That should help to set a fast pace and tempo to this game with plenty of end to end action. The Bolts want to establish dominance right away in this series and they'll use their quickness and superior skating ability to do just that. However, we're certainly not fond of playing favorites in the nearly 2 to 1 range and the Lightning are priced high for a reason. The best value play in Game 1 in our opinion is with the over. The Capitals have showed a lot of resiliency throughout this post-season. With that said, we expect the Lightning to jump out to an early lead here but the Caps to battle back as the game goes on. That should set this one up well for at least 7 to find the back of the net! Bet the OVER in Tampa Bay in evening action Friday.

That brings the road team to 5-2 in the Predators last 7 games. The Jets have not lost back to back games in nearly two months! You have to go all the way back to mid-March to find a time frame where Winnipeg lost consecutive games. Since then the Jets are 18-5 their last 23 games! Winnipeg is also a perfect 6-0 the last 6 times they've entered a game with 2 or more days of rest between games. Winnipeg also continues to be a nemesis for Predators goalie Pekka Rinne (and even back-up Juuse Saros - 1 game this season) as the Jets have scored 4 goals or more in 7 of their last 9 games against the Preds. With a chance to close out on home ice, Winnipeg will be extra aggressive tonight in terms of attacking the offensive zone as they look to keep Nashville on their heels. The Bolts are red hot as they've won 9 of their last 12 and the Lightning have averaged 3.8 goals per game during this hot stretch. Tampa Bay will be looking to close out the Bruins and certainly Boston has struggled to keep pucks out of their own net. That said, this is a desperation time for the Bruins and the road team has won 3 of the 4 games in this series. Look for Boston to answer the upstart Lightning goal for goal in what should be a true "barnburner" with plenty of "end to end" action. The Bruins can't afford for this to turn into a defensive struggle as they've been losing those battles in their own zone. With that said, and facing elimination, this should be a wild Game 5 down in Tampa. The over is 16-9 in the Bolts last 25 games versus teams with a winning record. Golden Knights goalie, known for past playoff disappointments with the Penguins, is now feeling the pressure once again. Certainly it is not all on him as the fact is he is facing a lot of shots but that doesn't change the fact that he has allowed 11 goals in the last 3 games and 2 were losses. It is going to be tough for Vegas to bounce back from the demoralizing 4-0 loss at San Jose in Game 4. The Sharks won the most recent game here and outshot the Golden Knights by 18 shots on goal. In fact, the Golden Knights have not outshot San Jose by more than 1 shot in any of the 4 games so far in this series. The Sharks have held the edge the past 3 games in shots on goal and it has been by an average margin of 9 shots per game. We expect the Sharks to improve to 20-11 on the season when off of a win that came by a margin of 2 goals or more. In the 2nd round of the post-season, there have been 15 games so far and the road team has won 8 of them. The fact is that home ice continues to be over-priced and we're grabbing the underdog value with the Sharks in this one as they grasp the momentum of their big Game 4 win. Nashville got the Game 2 win on home ice and with the Jets big response in their Game 3 win in Winnipeg, the home team has now won 9 of the last 12 meetings between these division rivals. Certainly that trend should continue here as the Jets offensive production on home ice is tops in the NHL as they average 4 goals per game. This will be just the 3rd home game for Winnipeg since April 13th so, just like Tuesday, it will again be an incredibly hyped up hockey-crazed crowd in Canada for this one. Most of the entire nation is pulling for the Jets now that the Maple Leafs were eliminated from the post-season and Winnipeg is already well known for an incredible home ice edge. Today is May 3rd and the Jets haven't lost a home game since February! Winnipeg's run during this stretch is 13 STRAIGHT WINS coming by a combined score of 54-27. That is an average score of 4-2 on home ice with not a single loss the past two months! Look for this strong trend for the Jets to continue here. The Predators are certainly a quality hockey club but they are only 4-5 in their last 9 road games and Winnipeg's home ice edge will once again prove to be too much here. The Jets were in a 3-0 hole Tuesday and still rallied back for the win! That is huge for Winnipeg as their confidence is sky high on home ice while it was a crushing blow to the Predators (and goalie Pekka Rinne's) confidence. The Sharks bounced back from an ugly Game 1 loss (only outshot by 1 goal though) by getting a much needed 4-3 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2. San Jose outshot Vegas by a 47-29 margin in Saturday's victory. Vegas has not been great on the road over the past few months with only 1 more win than loss away from home dating back to January. The Sharks are 12-4 their last 16 home games and have a ton of momentum here after the Game 2 win. San Jose has won 4 of 6 when tied in a playoff series while being tied 1-1 in a playoff series is something Vegas has never felt the pressure of. This is certainly an edge for the Sharks plus their have the home ice edge here and they've gone 20-10 this season when they are off of a game where they scored 4 goals or more. ASA PLAY ON 9* UNDER: Winnipeg Jets @ Nashville Predators, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
The Predators will be ready to respond after a 4-1 loss in Game 1. It was a rare poor game for Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne and a repeat of that is highly unlikely. The Preds had allowed an average of only 1.3 goals per game in their 3 prior games. As for the Jets, after their dominating win in Game 1, they have held the opposition to 2 goals or less in 7 of last 8 games. As you would expect with those types of numbers, all 7 of those games stayed under the total. The Predators enter this game on a streak of 4 straight unders. We expect the under to improve to 4-1 this post-season when Winnipeg is holding a lead in a playoff series. The under is 18-7 this season in Predators games after they allow 4 or more goals in a game. The Preds D will clamp down in this one! Bet the UNDER in Nashville in early evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* UNDER: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins, Wednesday at 7:05 PM ET
Frederik Andersen is playing very well for the Maple Leafs and his .936 save percentage with a total of just 9 goals allowed in his last 4 starts has helped Toronto rally back from that early 2-0 hole in the series. While Andersen should again play well tonight, the Leafs are likely to struggle to find the back of the net. The road team has averaged only 2.36 goals per game in the last 11 meetings between these teams. This is a Game 7 match-up and goals tend to be at a premium in these "win or go home" affairs. Look for a 2-1 or, at most 3-2 type game here. 20 of 30 Bruins divisional games have stayed under the total this season. Also, 27 of Boston's 41 games versus teams with a winning record have stayed under the total. Both teams will be feeling the pressure and squeezing the sticks a little tight in this one. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Washington Capitals @ Columbus Blue Jackets, Monday at 7:35 PM ET
The Capitals have scored at least 3 goals in 9 straight games. Additionally, the Caps scored 4 or more goals in more than half of those games! The Blue Jackets are off of a 4-3 OT loss at Washington and they know they should not have lost that game. The Jackets were the better team that day and now, on home ice, they'll come out even stronger and with even more resolve as they look to get payback on the Capitals. Should Columbus get an early lead here, they certainly aren't going to sit on it. In fact, neither team well because there simply has just been too many stretches in these games were teams rip off of a flurry of goals and we've seen late rallies and OT games throughout this series. With that said, look for an aggressive approach in the offensive zone with both of these hockey clubs tonight. The Blue Jackets have won 15 of their last 22 games and that has been on the strength of an offense that has averaged just under 4 goals per game during this 22-game stretch. At home and facing elimination, the Blue Jackets will be relentless tonight. Couple that with the line value of a 5.5 on this game and you have great value here. The over is 29-16 this season in Washington's games versus teams with a winning record. We look for the over to improve to 8-2 the 10 times in franchise history that Columbus trailed in a playoff series. Bet the OVER in Columbus in early evening action Monday.

Bruins are over-priced here. Boston has had the "puck luck" so far in this series but the Maple Leafs have outshot the Bruins in 2 of the last 3 games and now they're fighting for their playoff lives. Down 3-1 in this series, Toronto is going to play their best game of this series tonight and that should be enough for the upset win. Keep in mind the Leafs are a long-term 19-11 when trailing in a playoff series. Also, Toronto won 12 of 18 this season when playing with home loss revenge. After being held to one goal or less in a game, the Maple Leafs won 9 of 14 this season. Yesterday saw the Avs down 3-1 in their series on the road fight to live another day AND the Flyers down 3-1 in their series on the road fight to live another day. Two big upsets yesterday and we would not be surprised to see more today including this one tonight! That 4th win to close out a series is often the toughest one to get. Just ask the Penguins and Predators, two teams that are highly regarded just like the Bruins are. Bet Toronto on the money line in evening action Saturday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Colorado Avalanche @ Nashville Predators, Friday at 9:35 PM ET
Wednesday's match-up between these teams fell just short of going over. Even with that 3-2 result, the 4 games in this series have averaged 7.25 goals and we're expecting another high-scoring match-up tonight. There is no tomorrow for the Avalanche should they lose this game so they are going full speed ahead and will look to attack early and often. Of course this could expose the Avs in their own zone but they have no choice. The clock is ticking on their season and they know they're not going to win a defensive struggle with Pekka Rinne and the Predators. Offensive execution is the key for the Avs as back-up goalie Jonathan Bernier is now out and Semyon Varlamov (the normal starter) was already out. This leaves netminding duties to Andrew Hammond, the #3 guy on the depth chart. Though he played well in Game 4, he now faces the Predators in their own barn and we look for the Preds to be very aggressive in looking to end this series on home ice so look for a fast-paced game here with not a lot of time spent in the neutral zone. The over is 33-17 when Colorado is playing with revenge this season and their April games are on a long-term 15-3 run to the over. Bet the OVER in Nashville in late evening action Friday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* OVER: Nashville Predators @ Colorado Avalanche, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The long-term numbers here are too strong to ignore and the situational aspect of tonight's match-up also strongly supports this play. First off, about those long-term numbers, the over is already 3-0 in this series and this is not a huge surprise as the over is now 14-3 in the last 17 meetings between these clubs and that includes 7-1 in the last 8 match-ups in Colorado. Being down 2-1 in this series and still trying to claw their way back, the Avalanche again have to rely on their offense here. Jonathan Bernier, back-up goalie, for the Avalanche is just not at the same level as Semyon Varlamov (out with injury). The over is 10-4 in Bernier's 14 starts versus divisional foes this season. As for the Predators Pekka Rinne, he is normally solid but the last 9 starts he has made have seen Nashville allow an average of 3.6 goals per game! Also, the over is 26-12 when the Preds enter a game on an over streak of 3 or more consecutive overs. The over is 15-2 in the Avs last 17 April games! Additionally, when the Avalanche enter a game on an over streak of 3 or more consecutive overs, the over has gone 12-3 this season! Both clubs are playing very confident right now in the offensive zone and we've been impressed with the speed and skating ability the Avalanche have displayed in this series and that should helped lead to another "barn burner" high-scoring match-up in Denver tonight. Bet the OVER in Colorado in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Winnipeg Jets @ Minnesota Wild, Tuesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Wild entered Game 3 down 2-0 in the series and then found themselves down 1-0 early in Sunday's game. However, a couple of power play goes really got Minnesota going and that changed everything in terms of momentum. The Wild rolled to a 6-2 lead after 2 periods and then the scoreless third period had more to do with big margin in the game rather than anything else. In other words, look for a bunch of goals again tonight despite that 3rd period. You know Winnipeg will respond here but they also could be without 6'8 defenseman Tyler Myers. This certainly won't help them in their own zone and the Jets have been struggling to keep the puck out of their own net in road games recently. Winnipeg has allowed 4 or more goals in 4 of their last 5 games away from home. Look for the Jets offensive production to bounce back after scoring just a pair of goals in Game 3. Winnipeg entered Sunday's game having averaged 3.9 goals per game in their last 10 games. They'll respond here. The last 4 times the Jets have been held to 2 goals or less in a game they've averaged 4 goals per game in their next game. The Wild are 27-17 to the over in their games against teams with a winning record this season. Bet the OVER in Minnesota in evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Nashville Predators @ Colorado Avalanche, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
The Avalanche are going to respond at home down 2 games to none in this series. However, they're also not going to be able to stop a Predators juggernaut offense that has scored 4 or more goals in 4 straight games and 8 of their last 10 overall. Nashville has averaged scoring 4.2 goals per game in their last 9 meetings with Colorado. They key here is that the Avalanche did get a little more going in the offensive end in Game 2 with 4 goals scored and now they are back on home ice where they have scored 5 goals in each of their last 2 games. Each of the last 5 meetings between these teams has gone over the total and the Avalanche just aren't the same team without Semyon Varlamov between the pipes and, with him out, Jonathan Bernier has struggled. The over is 14-8 this season when the Predators are on a winning streak of 3 or more games. Also, the over is a long-term 25-12 when the Preds are a totals streak of 3 or more consecutive overs. Colorado is 32-17 to the over when playing with revenge. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Minnesota Wild vs Winnipeg Jets, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
The Wild are going to respond at home down 2 games to none in this series. However, they're also not going to be able to stop a Jets juggernaut offense that has generated 84 shots on goal in the first two games. Winnipeg has averaged scoring 4 goals per game in their last 8 meetings with Minnesota. They key here is that the Wild should finally get their offensive production going now that they are back on home ice. Minnesota had averaged 3.3 goals per game in their 8 previous games versus the Jets prior to being held to just a single marker in Game 2 of this series. The over is 11-4 this season when the Wild are off of a game in which they were held to 1 goal or less. Winnipeg is 10-5 to the over when they enter a game having played each of their 3 prior games on home ice. That is a combined factor of 21-9 (70%) favoring the over in this one. ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Saturday at 10:05 PM ET
Of course most of the public is going to be on Anaheim here to bounce back on home ice. But that's not how sharp players are looking at this one. The fact is that San Jose has now outshot the Ducks in 5 of their last 6 meetings. The Sharks edge in shots on goal in those 5 games was 50. That means San Jose has averaged 10 more shots per game than the Ducks in 5 of the last 6 meetings. Following the shutout win in Thursday's Game 1, note that the Sharks have won 17 of 28 this season when off of a win by a multiple goal margin. Also, San Jose has now won 22 of 30 games this season against divisional foes while the Ducks have won only half their games against Pacific Division opponents. Yes its playoff time now but that doesn't change the fact that Anaheim has struggled against divisional foes consistently. Also, note that the road team has won 6 of the last 7 meetings between these California rivals. The fact is that home ice is priced into the line but there has been no home ice edge in this series in recent meetings. We expect that trend to continue here and are happy to grab the road dog! Look for the Sharks to take another one on the road! Bet San Jose on the money line in late night action Saturday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* OVER: Minnesota Wild @ Winnipeg Jets, Friday at 7:35 PM ET
The first game of this series stayed under the total but just barely. That was the first under in the last 8 meetings between these teams in Winnipeg. In fact, in their last 19 meetings north of the border, there have only been 5 that resulted in an under! The Jets have averaged scoring 4 goals a game this season when on home ice. That said, the total of just 5.5 is offering solid line value here. Winnipeg finally broke through against Devan Dubnyk late in the 2nd period and carried that momentum to the 3rd period with 2 more goals. Dubnyk has not been as strong on the road as he has been at home this season and the Jets will carry over the momentum from the late game action in the first one right into Game 2 tonight. The Wild also broke through and had a brief 3rd period lead with a pair of goals against Connor Hellebuyck. The Jets goalie has only an .890 save percentage in his last 7 games versus Minnesota. The issue the Wild had in Game 1 was not getting enough shots on goal. They'll rectify that tonight. Keep in mind, Minnesota had averaged 33 shots on goal in the 5 prior games versus Hellebuyck and the Jets. At his long-term save percentage versus the Wild that equates to 3.5 goals tonight. Of course you can't score half a goal but the point is that the Wild should be good for 3 to 4 and with the Jets averaging 4 goals per game at home that should lead this one to a 4-3 or 5-4 Jets win. With the over 5.5 currently available with no juice, there is even more value with the over in this one. The over is 7-3 in Minnesota's Friday games this season. The Jets are very comfortable at home and haven't had to play away from Winnipeg in a week and a half. The Jets are 10-4 to the over this season when they enter a game having played each of their 3 prior games at home. Bet the OVER in Winnipeg in early evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Colorado Avalanche @ Nashville Predators, Thursday at 9:35 PM ET
The over is 11-3 in the last 14 meetings between these clubs. The Avalanche lost #1 goalie Semyon Varlamov to injury not too long ago. This has put a lot of weight on the shoulders of Jonathan Bernier. There is a reason he is the #2 netminder for Colorado. Also, when Bernier most recently faced the Predators in the post-season he was with Anaheim last May and allowed 6 goals on just 34 shots in his two appearances versus Nashville. The Avalanche know they can't afford to sit back on their heels here and try to win a low-scoring grinder. It is simply not going to work against a Predators team with the ability to play that way much better than the Avs can. Big dogs in this series and down to their #2 goalie, the Avalanche are going to have be aggressive and attack early and often. With guys like Mikko Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado certainly has some big-time scoring threats and they are 30-17 to the over when playing with revenge this season. The Avs are also on a 12-2 run to the over in April games. The Predators finished up the season scoring 4 goals or more in 5 of their last 6 games. The Preds also have scored 4 goals or more in 7 of their last 8 meetings with Colorado. With this total dropping from an early 6 down to a 5.5 we're taking advantage with a strong play on the over. ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights, of course, have not been here. The Kings have plenty of playoff experience. Granted, Vegas has plenty of players on its roster that have some playoff experience but, perhaps the most important one is goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and he has a checkered post-season past to say the least. Also, Vegas decision to play Fleury in the final regular season game was not a good one. While perhaps he did need the work, it risked injury plus his teammates hung him out to dry in the meaningless game. But make no mistake he didn't look great on some of those goals he allowed either and, in our opinion, that 7-1 loss did nothing to help him in terms of confidence entering the post-season. The Kings have added confidence from winning the past two match-ups between these teams and they also are very hungry after missing the post-season last year after a very early exit from the post-season the prior year. That was a tough post-season for Jonathan Quick two years ago but previously he has had some phenomenal post-season runs and he did compile a .921 save percentage this season. The Golden Knights lost 11 of their last 21 games and were quite "choppy" to finish off the season. In our opinion they were playing their best hockey quite awhile back and peaked too early . As for the Kings, prior to a season-ending loss to the Stars, they had won 12 of their 19 prior games. There is a reason LA was made such a small dog here. Look for the Kings to steal Game 1 on the road! Bet Los Angeles on the money line in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins, Friday at 7:35 PM ET
The over is 6-3 in the Senators last 9 games as they wind down a meaningless ending to the season. This has led to a lack of defensive intensity and Ottawa has allowed 4.2 goals per game in their last 9 games. The Penguins are still playing for playoff positioning and they'll look to take advantage by pressuring the Sens early and often in this one. Pittsburgh is 23-8 to the over their last 31 games. The Penguins have allowed 3.5 goals per game their last 11 games but of course their strength is their offense. The Pens have averaged 3.7 goals per game in home games this season! This one is set up to be a barnburner and the Penguins are 11-6 to the over when playing on back to back days and also they've gone 21-7 to the over this season when off of a divisional game. Ottawa is 31-17 to the over this season when playing a team with a winning record. The over is also 8-2 this season in Senators Friday night games. The high-scoring trending continues here. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Nashville Predators Money Line (+) @ Washington Capitals, Thursday at 7:05 PM ET
The Predators are steaming mad. They had a goal disallowed in the final seconds of their 2-1 loss at Florida and every point right now is critical for them as they want that #1 seed for the post-season! Nashville has won 3 straight match-ups with the Capitals and while the Preds are fully focused and need points, Washington's playoff position is already set. They do not need any points and they are off of a big 4-2 win at St Louis that really was "the last hurrah" that they needed here in the regular season. So when the betting markets look at this game they look at a Capitals team that has been hotter than the Predators and yet this game is priced at roughly a "pick 'em" even though Washington is on home ice. This is enticing Capitals money but the sharps know that motivation very heavily favors the Predators in this one and, keep in mind, the Preds have the best record in the league right now! Nashville has 24 road wins this season and their 55 points earned away from home is tops in the league. After that frustrating loss to the Panthers, the Predators come out fighting mad here and lock up the #1 seed for the post-season! In road games with a total set at 6 goals or more, Nashville has won 9 of 12 games this season. Look for some key Capitals players (possibly even including Alexander Ovechkin) to sit out tonight. Certainly extra rest will be afforded some of Washington's top players. Road rout in the forecast here and the Predators have won each of the last 3 meetings by a combined score of 13 to 6. The Jets are off of a win last night at Ottawa but it was a sloppy performance and they were lucky to escape with a 6-5 win. The fact is that Winnipeg knows they really can't catch Nashville at the top of the division and their playoff seeding, for all intents and purposes is really locked up already. With that said, the Canadiens are off great home dog value here. This is their final home game of the season and so we expect #1 goalie Carey Price to play. Also, we expect a huge effort from all of the Habs in front of their home fans. The Jets have actually lost 10 of 14 games when playing with home loss revenge. Also, Winnipeg has lost 43 of 65 games when playing the 2nd game of a back to back. This is the ideal spot for an upset and we're getting super home dog value with the Canadiens. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Edmonton Oilers @ Minnesota Wild, Monday at 8 PM ET
The Wild have lost two top defensemen. They also are very nearly locked into a playoff spot that has them matching up with Winnipeg in the first round. In other words, the concern for Minnesota simply becomes staying healthy and getting ready for the post-season. That said, with the way the Oilers have been pressuring the opposition (but simply having some back "puck luck") we look for Edmonton to enjoy plenty of success in the offensive zone tonight. The issue for the Oilers, as it has been for much of this season, is they struggle to keep the puck out of their own net. Of course Minnesota is heavily favored on home ice for good reason and we expect them to certainly answer the Oilers goal for goal in what should turn into a very high-scoring game as a result. Only 5 of the Oilers last 17 April games have resulted in an under. The Wild are off of a 4-1 loss at Dallas and the over is 10-3 this season when Minnesota is off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less! Bet the OVER in Minnesota in evening action Monday.

Also, on the road this season Bernier has an .898 save percentage and only 5 of his 15 starts have stayed under the total. The Avalanche also will be without their top defenseman, Erik Johnson for this one. That sets this one up well for plenty of Anaheim goals but, keep in mind, the Avalanche are fighting for their playoff lives too and they have plenty of pop in terms of offensive production. They have scored 3 goals in each of their two games versus the Ducks this season. Also, Colorado has scored 4 goals or more in 7 of their last 12 games! The Hurricanes, though not mathematically eliminated are, for all intents and purposes, truly already eliminated from post-season contention and have been for a while. They've been playing like it too as they've now allowed 23 goals in their last 6 road games and 5 of the 6 went over the total. The Canes have scored at least 3 goals in 9 of their last 10 games and that is what leads us to the over here. Washington is not going to be stopped here and 4 of the last 6 meetings between these teams have resulted in an over. The Capitals have scored at least 3 goals in 8 of their last 9 games. We expect each team to get at least 3 here and that will get us the over in this one. The Capitals have a big game at Pittsburgh on deck and could get caught looking ahead. That leads to a little less defensive intensity. Washington has had just 2 unders in their last 8 games. Carolina is 5-2-1 to the over in road games with a total set at 6 goals or more. The Hurricanes also are 10-5-1 to the over when playing with 2 days of rest between games. The Capitals divisional games are 16-8-1 to the over this season. ASA PLAY ON 10* OVER: New York Rangers @ Washington Capitals, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Rangers are gearing up for next season. That leads to a youth movement and right now this team is very weak in their own zone. The Rangers have too many missed assignments and players out of position and this results in being picked apart at times. Of course that is why the Capitals are a huge favorite in the rematch of the Monday match-up in New York. In that game Washington got up 4-0 in the first and hung on rather easily for the 4-2 win. We look for the Rangers to be a little more aggressive from the outset in this one as they certainly have nothing to lose at this late point in the season. Getting a couple goals as Monday's game went on got them some much-needed confidence but the weakness in their own zone is what has this one with the sharp-shooting Capitals going over the total. Washington has just 1 under in their last 7 games. The Rangers are 7-0-2 to the over in their last 9 games. The last three seasons, Rangers divisional games are 49-24 to the over and this includes 16-5 to the over this season! The Capitals are 15-9 to the over after a win by a margin of 2 or more goals and also 16-7-1 to the over in their 24 divisional games this season. ASA PLAY ON 9* Colorado Avalanche Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights have revenge from a loss at Colorado Saturday but, keep in mind, very early this season was the last time the Avalanche visited Vegas and the Avs got destroyed 7-0. Of course this is a much different Avalanche team now and you'd better believe they are ready to respond here. Colorado needs this game even moreso than Vegas. While it is true that the Golden Knights have yet to clinch a playoff spot they are on the verge of it and it is the Avalanche who are fighting to secure a post-season berth. The key here is that the Avs are getting stellar goal-tending from Semyon Varlamov as 5 of his last 7 starts have not only been wins but have also been games in which Colorado allowed just a single goal. The Avalanche have averaged 3.9 goals a game their last 14 games. The Golden Knights have been held to 3 goals or less in 10 of their last 14 games. Also, the Knights have lost 4 of their last 6 games overall and also 4 of their last 6 games on home ice. You simply can't get much more value that what is being offered here with a big road dog looking to avenge an early season 7-0 road loss! Bet Colorado on the money line in late night action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) vs Anaheim Ducks, Sunday at 9:35 PM ET
Edmonton has great disdain for the Ducks. It was Anaheim that knocked the Oilers out of the post-season last year in a riveting 7-game series. With that said, there is nothing that Edmonton would love more than to help keep the Ducks out of the post-season this year. If the Oilers aren't going they don't want these division rivals going either! With that said, there is great line value in this spot with a hungry home dog. Yes the Oilers are in a back to back spot but they've won 3 straight games overall and 4 of their last 5 at home. Certainly they are playing their best hockey of the season and the Ducks come into this game having been outshot by a combined 71 to 34 in their last two games. Anaheim has lost 4 of its last 5 road games and the Ducks have scored a total of just 5 goals in those 4 defeats. The Oilers have scored 3 goals or more in 5 of their last 6 games and they've averaged 5.3 goals per game during their 3-game winning streak. The home dog badly wants (and gets) this contest as this is their last shot against their hated rivals for this season! Bet Edmonton on the money line in evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Anaheim Ducks Money Line (+) @ Winnipeg Jets, Friday at 8:05 PM ET
Winnipeg has been great at home this season but it is no mistake that the odds makers have priced the Jets so low for this one. Anaheim comes into this game red hot and certainly has the extra motivation of needing these points much more than a Winnipeg team that seems to be settled in quite nicely in 2nd place in the Central Division. Also, the Jets are going to be without their young star Patrik Laine and Winnipeg could have trouble getting much past Ducks goalie John Gibson. He is 12-3-1 in his last 16 starts and Anaheim has won 4 straight games. The Jets have won 3 straight games but they've lost 9 of 11 this season when they enter a game on a streak of 3 or more wins. The Ducks have won 15 of 23 this season when they're off of a game where they scored 4 or more goals. Bet Anaheim on the money line in evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Montreal Canadiens Puck Line (+1.5 goals) @ Pittsburgh Penguins, Wednesday at 7:05 PM ET
The Penguins are getting a lot of action here and the big money line price they are laying has also led to an inflated puck line in our opinion. We can get the Canadiens at +1.5 goals for a price in the -130 range which is a fantastic line value. The Habs are going to have Carey Price back from injury and patrolling the crease for this one. Look for this to give a huge psychological boost to Montreal. Of course the Canadiens are resigned to not making the post-season this year but that does not mean a team is not going to be up for facing the 2-time defending Stanley Cup champions. Also, with this being a back to back spot for the Penguins, it certainly is not an easy spot. The Pens knocked off the Canadiens in a come-from-behind win Thursday and the Habs are seeking revenge here. Pittsburgh is only 5-6 in their last 11 games and on the puck-line at -1.5 goals would be 3-8 their last 11 games. That said, Montreal is ready to respond after rare back to back back shutout losses. Prior to a 3-game losing streak where all the defeats came by a multiple goal-deficit, the Canadiens previous 12 games featured only 3 losses by more than a goal. With a boost from Price between the pipes, look for the Habs to be in this one all the way! Bet Montreal on the puck line (+1.5 goals) in early evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 10* Top Play Ottawa Senators Money Line vs Florida Panthers, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
If the Senators aren't going to the post-season (they aren't!) they certainly don't want the division rival Panthers to be going either! Late-season angles like this are important to keep an eye on because some teams throw in the towel but others go hard and the latter is certainly the case with the Sens. Ottawa already beat the Panthers last Monday and that started a 3-game winning streak for the Senators. Now, after a tight loss at Columbus Saturday, the Sens have had two days off and are rested and ready for a Florida team that will be playing the 2nd game of a back to back. The Panthers got a key divisional win at Montreal last night 2-0 and now face another divisional foe on the road again and with no rest in between. Tough spot to say the least and the Panthers have lost 12 of 19 games this season when off of a win by a multiple goal margin. Also, Florida has lost 9 of their last 14 road games that had a total set at 6 goals or more. The Panthers had Roberto Luongo between the pipes last night and that means back-up James Reimer is likely to start tonight. Florida has lost 13 of his 20 road starts this season and his recent starts away from home have been disasters with a total of 37 goals allowed in 8 starts! The Senators will have Craig Anderson, their #1 goalie, getting the start tonight and they have won 4 of his last 5 starts. The Sens penalty kill at home has allowed just 3 goals in their last 23 penalty kills. The Panthers penalty kill on the road has given up 10 goals in their last 36 kill opportunities. The home road dichotomy here is huge as it relates to goaltending and special teams. Bet Ottawa on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Edmonton Oilers @ Tampa Bay Lightning, Sunday at 5:05 PM ET
Both of these teams were in action yesterday and both used their #1 goalie. That means back-up goalies today and the Oilers Al Montoya has struggled and the over is 4-0 in his last 4 starts. The Bolts Peter Budaj has also struggled and the over is 3-0 in his last 3 starts. The Lightning were shutout yesterday and the over is 7-1 this season when Tampa Bay is off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. Also, the over is 9-1 this season when Tampa is in the 2nd game of a back to back. As for Edmonton, only 5 of their last 16 games against teams with a winning record has resulted in an under. The Bolts 3-0 home shutout loss yesterday was preceded by a stretch where TB scored an average of 4.2 goals per game and the over went 8-2 in those 10 games. This total opened at a 6.5 and dropped to a 6 but the odds makers had it right and this one easily gets to 7 goals or more! Bet the OVER in Tampa Bay in very early evening action Sunday.

Revenge game for the Flyers after losing 4-1 to the Hurricanes in Philly on March 1st. Home ice has not mattered in recent meetings between these divisional rivals as the road team has now won 3 straight and we look for that trend to continue here. Both teams have struggled of late but the Flyers have won 8 of their last 11 games versus teams with a losing record and Carolina has won just 30 of 70 games this season. The Hurricanes have lost 14 of 22 divisional games this season and also have lost 12 of 19 when off of a loss by a margin of 2 goals or more in their prior game. The Canes enter this one having lost 10 of 13. Philly has been much more respectable of late with 11 wins in last 19 games and they're hungry for this one! Looks like a road rout here for the highly motivated Flyers. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in early evening action Saturday.

Buffalo has been held to 2 goals or less in 8 of their last 12 games. Toronto has scored 3 goals or more in 17 of their last 21 games. Look for the Maple Leafs offensive production to be the difference maker here. Also the Leafs have 20 of 32 when playing with revenge this season and Toronto has won 8 of their last 11 games against teams with a losing record. The Sabres have lost 24 of 33 games versus teams with a winning record this season. Looks like a road rout here for the highly motivated Maple Leafs. ASA PLAY ON 10* Top Play OVER: Colorado Avalanche @ Minnesota Wild, Tuesday at 8:35 PM ET
The over is 5-1 in the Avs last 6 games and Colorado has averaged scoring 4 goals per game in their last 7 games. Minnesota is off of a bad loss at Edmonton but previously the Wild had won 8 of their last 10 games. Big key for the Wild was offensive production and even with the bad game versus the Oilers, Minnesota has averaged scoring 4 goals per game their last 11 games! The over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these teams and all 4 of the overs totaled at least 7 goals. With an opener of 6 goals on this total, it may seem a little high but, as you can see per the above, this one should prove to be not nearly high enough. The over is 8-3-1 Minnesota's last dozen games versus teams with a winning record. The over is 8-2 this season when the Wild are off of a game where they were shutout or scored just one goal. Only 4 of Colorado's last 13 road games that had a total set at 6 goals or higher resulted in an under. In other words, look for a back and forth shootout in this one tonight! Minnesota goalie Dubnyk has struggled badly in recent starts versus the Avs and his back-up Stalock has been in poor current form. Both Avs goalies, Varlamov and Bernier, have been sub-par overall in recent games. The lamp should be lit early and often in this one as that is what all signs are pointing to. ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Ottawa Senators @ Florida Panthers, Monday at 7:35 PM ET
The Panthers have won 8 of their last 9 games and have averaged scoring 4 goals per game during this stretch. Not once during this stretch has Florida been held under 3 goals! The Senators are off of a 2-1 home loss but previously had scored 3 or more goals in 5 of their last 7. Ottawa had allowed 3 or more goals in 8 of their 10 games prior to allowing just 2 versus the Flames. The Panthers have allowed at least 3 goals in 2 of their last 3 games. The over is 19-12 in Florida's March games and the over is 15-10 this season when the Panthers are off of a game where they scored 4 or more goals. The over is 27-14 this season when Ottawa faces a team with a winning record. Florida is hot and Ottawa wants to play the role of spoiler. This combination should lead to a high-scoring game as the Panthers high-scoring trend continues but the Senators match them on all but one of the markers as they hang around in this one! The road team has won each of the last 2 meetings between these clubs and the Canucks certainly are not happy about the measly 17 shots they mustered in their home loss to the Coyotes Wednesday. Arizona also is in a touch scheduling spot here as they were at Colorado yesterday and got blasted 5 to 2. The Coyotes have lost 9 of 10 this season when in the 2nd game of a back to back. Arizona has also lost all 4 of their Sunday games this season while Vancouver has won half their Sunday match-ups. The Coyotes have been held to scoring only 2 goals or less in 7 of their last 9 games. Even off of back to back tough games, Vancouver has scored 3 or more goals in 9 of their last 13 games. With Brock Boeser out for the Canucks, and with revenge from very recent game with the Coyotes, look for others on the Vancouver roster to bring their "A game" tonight to make up for Boeser's absence. With Arizona's struggles playing in the 2nd of a back to back, another road upset is on tap in this series. Payback time here! Bet the Canucks on the money line in late evening action Sunday

ASA PLAY ON 9* Montreal Canadiens Money Line (+) @ Florida Panthers, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
There is not enough of a difference between these two teams to justify the Panthers being a 2 to 1 favorite. Florida rallied multiple times from 2-goal deficits to eventually earn a point. That is the type of game that takes a lot out of team and now they host a Canadiens team that is off a 6-4 loss where the Habs didn't seem to start playing until they were down 4-0. Of course they are just playing the role of spoiler at this point in the season but, prior to the ugly loss at New Jersey had seemed to take to that role quite well and had been very competitive. Montreal is likely to bounce back as the loss to the Devils was their first loss in regulation in 8 games! The Canadiens were on a 7-game point streak prior to the loss as they had 3 wins, 2 SO losses, and 2 OT losses. As you can see, they've been "right there" and are still fighting hard and Florida is simply priced wrong here as they really left a lot on the ice in their loss to in-state rival Florida. The Canadiens have won 47 of their last 80 divisional games and they had won 4 straight against the Panthers before being shutout at Florida in late December. Payback time here! ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Flyers are expected to get Wayne Simmonds back for tonight's huge division rivalry showdown with their in-state rivals. Philly hates the Penguins with a passion and the arena will be rocking Wednesday night. The Flyers suffered an ugly loss when they hosted the Pens in early January but had won 4-0 the prior time they hosted Pittsburgh. Now it is time to avenge that ugly home loss with Simmonds back (truly a key player for Philadelphia), the Flyers will have all 4 lines rolling the way they want. They've got all the pairings they want for those 4 lines now. The Flyers had been red hot before the 3-game losing streak and look for the combination of the fact that Simmonds is back and a huge rival is in town (plus the revenge factor) to bring out the best in Philly here. The Penguins have lost 9 of their last 15 road games. Also, Pittsburgh has lost 11 of 18 road games with a posted total of 6 or more goals this season. The Flyers lost their most recent home game but previously had won 8 of their last 11 as a host. Their home ice winning ways resume here! Bet the Flyers on the money line in evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Arizona Coyotes Money Line (+) @ Edmonton Oilers, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Coyotes proved their recent run is no fluke as they beat the Senators (and us) in a tight win Saturday night. Arizona bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit and they continue to get fantastic goaltending. The Coyotes are now 8-2-1 in their last 11 games and while both Arizona and Edmonton are simply "playing out the string" on an otherwise disappointing season, only one of these teams is playing like they care. It is easier for Arizona to work hard and build for next season as not much was expected from this season and now this group is starting to jell and build for next season. As for the Oilers, it is a different story altogether as they came into this season with high hopes and now have seen all that fade away with huge disappointment. When they made a little push in late January and early February there was still some glimmer of hope for Edmonton. However, in the past month since then, the Oilers have lost 11 of 15 and the season is finished for them and they know it and they're playing like it. Goalie Cam Talbot has lost 3 straight starts. Back-up goalie Al Montoya is 1-1-1 with a 4.23 GAA in his recent appearances. While the goaltending of Edmonton has been awful, the netminding for the Coyotes has been great. Arizona's Antti Raanta has been on fire between the pipes but the Coyotes also now have Darcy Kuemper available and he is 5-1-1 with a 1.70 GAA and in his career against the Oilers. Arizona has played better of late but, prior to their win over Minnesota in their most recent game, the Coyotes were held to an average of only 1.5 goals per game in their last 4 games. The Senators, on the other hand, have been scoring plenty of goals as they are averaging 3.4 goals per game their last 12 games. The Sens are 7-7-1 in their last 15 games. Ottawa has won 4 of its last 7 games versus teams with a losing record while Arizona has lost 16 of 23 games this season versus teams with a losing record. San Jose entered that game on an overall run of 3 straight losses and 10 defeats in their last 17 games. The Blackhawks enter this game off of a loss but had previously won 4 of their 5 prior games. Even though Chicago is without goalie Corey Crawford, they've allowed an average of only 2 goals per game their last 5 games. The Sharks have allowed an average of 3.4 goals per game in their last 8 home games. San Jose has not scored a power play goal in 10 straight games! The Blackhawks have scored a power play goal in 7 of their last 12 games. Chicago off of a loss and the Sharks off of win has set this one up nicely for road dog value. Suffice to say this is a STRONG triple revenge spot for the Jackets and they are offering great line value at a small price on home ice. The Capitals have undoubtedly been a nemesis for the Blue Jackets of late as they also won the final 3 meetings of last season's series. However, Columbus has certainly deserved better this season and tonight we feel the payoff will finally be there for them. The Blue Jackets are playing solid defensive-minded hockey and they've won 7 of 10 this season when they enter a game on an under streak of 3 or more consecutive games remaining under the total. Washington is off of a big 5-1 win versus Buffalo but they are 0-3 the last 3 times they've held a team to 2 goals or less. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in early evening action Monday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
The Sharks had won 3 straight games and 5 of their last 6 before getting thoroughly embarrassed in a 7-1 shellacking at Nashville last night. Sharks back-up goalie Aaron Dell had a rare awful game last night but now #1 goalie Martin Jones will be back between the pipes tonight. Jones has been fantastic of late while the Blackhawks have continued to struggle in goal because of the absence of Corey Crawford. Prior to last night, in San Jose's last 5 games they had not allowed more than 2 goals in any game. The Sharks had allowed an average of only 1.8 goals per game during this stretch. Coincidentally, in their last 5 road games San Jose had also held their opponents to an average of just 1.8 goals per game. While the Blackhawks are off of a rare victory, they have recorded back to back wins only 2 times since mid-December! This has been an awful stretch for Chicago as they had lost 13 of 16 before the win over Ottawa. By the way, the Senators are having an awful season and it took the Hawks a 7-round shootout to win that game over the Sens. The point is that Chicago has been relegated to the role of spoiler late this season and it hasn't gone well as, when they've played playoff-caliber teams, they've lost more often that not. The Sharks have won 38 of 57 when off of a loss by 2 goals or more in their prior game. Also, San Jose has won 9 of 12 this season when off of a game where they scored 1 goal or were shutout. Chicago, against teams with a winning record, has lost 20 of 28 this season. Bet the Sharks on the money line in evening action Friday.

The Sharks have allowed an average of only 1.8 goals per game during this stretch. Coincidentally, in their last 5 road games San Jose has also held their opponents to an average of just 1.8 goals per game. While the Predators are off of back to back wins, those victories came against clubs that won't be making the post-season this spring! Also, Nashville has allowed an average of 3 goals per game in their last 9 games. The Sharks have a history of struggling at Nashville but that is all the more reason for extra motivation in this spot. The Golden Knights are off of a 2-0 home shutout. Prior to that defeat Vegas had won 3 straight games. However, all 3 of those games were against teams that would not be in the playoffs if the post-season started today. That holds significance for sure because, prior to that the Golden Knights have been proving to be vulnerable. You knew it couldn't last forever and the amazing 1st half of the season that Vegas had is starting to show some blemishes. In their last 6 games against playoff-level teams (including the loss to Anahiem) the Golden Knights have lost 4 of 6. Vegas has only won 4 of their last 8 home games overall and there is big dog value here with the underdog Flames. Calgary is seeking revenge for a home loss to the Golden Knights last month. Vegas currently is dealing with injury issues and some illness concerns impacting a number of players. Calgary, though still without goalie Mike Smith, has seen David Rittich allow 3 goals or less in 3 of his last 5 starts. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs Montreal Canadiens, Tuesday at 7:05 PM ET
Big line move toward the Canadiens here and it is because the Flyers have injury issues at the goalie position. However, Lyon played very well between the pipes in relief of Neuvirth Sunday and Philadelphia's spirits are up too as they have been red hot plus picked up goalie Mrazek from the Red Wings. In other words, a downturn for the Flyers is unlikely here and they are the much hotter team entering this match-up. Philadelphia has won 6 of their last 7 games while Montreal has lost 5 straight! Also, the home team has won 9 straight meetings between these clubs. With home ice meaning so much in this series, plus the Flyers playing much better than the Habs of late, and the big money line move toward the wounded Canadiens here (physically and mentally wounded we might add), the value is clearly with Philly at a great price at home. Also, Montreal has lost 18 of 26 games versus teams with a losing record this season. The Flyers have won 38 of 62 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals by the odds makers. Lay it! ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Monday at 8:35 PM ET
Big line move toward the Blackhawks here has opened up great line value on the Kings. Los Angeles has gone from being the favorite here to being a +110 underdog and Chicago, still without their top goal-tender, simply is fooling the markets here in our opinion. Yes the Blackhawks are off of a huge 7-1 win over the Capitals Saturday but Chicago had previously lost 8 straight. Also, Blackhawks back-up goalie Anton Forsberg faced only 20 shots in the win and he is likely to face much more than that here. While Chicago is desperate to stay alive in the playoff race the Kings also need every point they can get right now as they had lost 3 straight before their win at Buffalo Saturday. The difference between LA and Chicago though is that the Blackhawks have been in a long-term poor stretch while the Kings, prior to the 3-game losing streak, had won 6 of 8. Also, LA is expected to have #1 goalie Jonathan Quick between the pipes. Los Angeles has won 20 of 29 games against teams with a losing record this season. Chicago has lost 19 of 27 games against teams with a winning record this season. Also, even though the Hawks are playing with revenge here, they have lost 20 of 29 revenge opportunities this season! The big line move makes this the perfect spot to back an under-valued road team. Bet the Kings on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (-) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Sunday at 6:05 PM ET
The Penguins are off of a revenging win versus the Maple Leafs yesterday and now walk right into the teeth of revenge here as it is the Blue Jackets seeking revenge on the Pens. Not only did Pittsburgh eliminate Columbus from the post-season last year, the Penguins also have taken each of the first two meetings this season. Now the Jackets are catching the Pens at the right time to exact revenge as the Penguins won't have much left in the tank after yesterday's big win. Pittsburgh is off of a successful homestand but has lost 6 of 7 this season when they enter a game having played each of their 3 prior games at home. As for Columbus, they've been off since Friday's OT loss versus Philadelphia and the home team has won 12 of the last 15 meetings between the Blue Jackets and Penguins. The small price makes this the perfect spot to back an under-valued home team. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in early evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Toronto Maple Leafs Money Line (+) @ Pittsburgh Penguins, Saturday at 7:05 PM ET
The Maple Leafs and Penguins are both red hot but what we love about Toronto here is that, because they are on the road we get sizable underdog money line value. The Leafs exceptional value is enhanced by the fact that, in comparison with Pittsburgh, they have the more balanced scoring. The Pens rely heavily on their top line while the Leafs have better balance in terms of where their goals come from. Also, the Maple Leafs have the added confidence of having won 3 straight in this series. Toronto already won at Pittsburgh earlier this season and are a little hungrier than the Pens. Keep in mind Pittsburgh is the back to back Stanley Cup champions while the Maple Leafs have been trying to finally climb the mountain after many years of frustration. The fact is that the Leafs are finally "getting there" and they continue to prove that with another win over the Penguins here. The Maple Leafs have won 9 of 10 and have allowed just 2 goals per game in those 9 wins. The Penguins are off of a 3-1 win but allowed 3 goals per game in their 8 prior games. Pittsburgh certainly playing well but the Leafs have been even better in terms of their ability to keep the puck out of their own net. Bet the Maple Leafs on the money line in early evening action Saturday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line vs St Louis Blues, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
Rivalry game and the well-rested Stars coming off of a 6-0 home loss will be ready to rout the division rival Blues here. St Louis has lost 2 straight and 3 of their last 6. The Blues have allowed 4 goals or more in 3 of their last 5 games. Dallas had allowed an average of just 1.6 goals per game in their 5 game winning streak that preceded the ugly home loss to Vancouver. In other words, you can view the Stars loss to the Canucks as an aberration. The home team has won 6 of the last 7 meetings between these teams and we feel this price is a very fair one on Dallas and that makes the Stars well worth the investment here. The Stars have won 44 of their last 66 when off of a loss by 2 goals or more. The Blues have lost 13 of 23 when playing with revenge and the extra time off for Dallas heading into this one gives them a big edge. They've had great practices this week and were able to fully game plan for their division rival. Bet the Stars on the money line in evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line @ Nashville Predators, Thursday at 8:05 PM ET
The Flames are off of a loss but had previously won 4 of their last 5. Even though goalie Mike Smith is out tonight, David Rittich has been playing well between the pipes for Calgary. Also, the road team has won 6 of the last 8 meetings between these teams and the Flames are seeking to avenge a 2-0 home shutout loss in December. As for the Predators, they faced the Blues on the way to the Stanley Cup finals last spring and they are coming off of a big win over division rival St Louis in their most recent game. While the Preds are off of a divisional win, the Flames are off of a non-conference match-up and with another non-conference game on deck. Calgary fully focused here and the same can not be said for the Predators. Nashville is a quality team but they've lost half of their games this season when coming off of a divisional game. In other words, the Preds are over-priced here. This is especially true given the road dominance that has been synonymous with this series in recent years. Calgary has won 9 of 13 this season when off of a loss by 2 or more goals in their prior game. Expect them to prove that "bounce back ability" once again here. Bet the Flames as a big dog on the money line in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 10* OVER: Chicago Blackhawks @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The last meeting between these clubs totaled 9 goals and that was in Chicago. In the first meeting, in Vegas, the game also went over the total with 6 goals scored. The Golden Knights are off of a game that just stayed under the total Sunday but 8 of their 10 prior games went over the total! The key to the value here is that both teams are putting a ton of pucks on net but both clubs are struggling to keep the biscuit out of their own goal! The Blackhawks are still waiting for Corey Crawford, their top goalie, to return from injury. He just started practicing again with the team but is not ready quite yet. Chicago has been using Tanner Glass and Anton Forsberg between the pipes in his absence. The Blackhawks have allowed 4 goals per game in their current 6 game losing streak as it has not gone well at all. The Blackhawks offensive production though has led to an average of nearly 40 shots on goal per game in their last 4 games and it should pay off here. That's because Marc Andre-Fleury is suddenly struggling for the Golden Knights. The veteran netminder has had a great season but is on the fade of late. The Vegas goalie has an .879 save percentage in his last 4 starts. The Golden Knights have allowed an average of 4 goals per game in their last 5 games. One thing Vegas does well though is score plenty of goals at home. The lost their most recent game Sunday but outshot the Flyers 39-18. The Golden Knights are averaging 3.5 goals per game at home this season. The over is 18-6 in Blackhawks February games. The over is 80% this season when the Golden Knights are off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. Bet the OVER in Vegas in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
The Oilers were eliminated from the post-season in a grueling 7 game series by the Ducks last May. Edmonton earned some measure of revenge with a home win versus the Ducks in early January but this will be their first visit to Anaheim since losing Game 7 here on May 10th. Prior to that loss, including playoff games, the Oilers had won 3 of their last 5 games played in southern California. Edmonton is off of a loss at Los Angeles Wednesday but previously had won 5 of their last 7 games. The Oilers have not lost back to back games since early January and we expect a big response here after the loss to the Kings. Anaheim is off of a win but previously had lost 3 straight games and the Ducks are playing their first game back on home ice after a long road trip to the Northeast. The first game back after a long cross country trip like that are often the toughest. Look for that to be the case again here and grab the value with the road dog. John Gibson will be back in goal tonight for his first start since missing time due to a groin injury. He could be rusty here for the Ducks. Anaheim has lost 22 of 38 (-15 net units) on Fridays. The Oilers have won 10 of 13 divisional games this season. Bet Edmonton in late night action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Vancouver Canucks @ Tampa Bay Lightning, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
The Canucks are off of a 3-1 loss at Florida but previously had scored 4 goals or more in 3 of their last 5 games. The over was 4-1 in Vancouver's 5 prior games. The Lightning enter this game on a 5-1 run to the over as, prior to a 6-2 loss at Edmonton, Tampa Bay had scored 4 goals or more in 4 of their 5 prior games. The Bolts enter this game having allowed an average of 4 goals per game in their last 3 games. Tampa Bay is finally back home after a long road trip. However, just because they're back home it does not mean they'll stop giving up too many goals. The Lightning have allowed 4.5 goals per game in their last 4 home games! The over is 10-4 this season when the Canucks are off of a game where they were held to just 1 goal. Vancouver is also 14-7 to the over when off of a game they lost by a margin of 2 goals or more. The Bolts are 12-2 to the over when they enter a game having played each of their 3 prior games on the road. The Lightning are also 8-3 to the over this season when they are at home and the total is set at 5.5 goals on their game. That is the case here and we look for another high-scoring game in this situation. Bet the OVER in TB in early evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* OVER: Edmonton Oilers @ Los Angeles Kings, Wednesday at 10:35 PM ET
The Kings are off of a 6-0 win versus Arizona Saturday and should enjoy another big game in the offensive zone tonight. That's because the Oilers have allowed 3.5 goals per game in their last 4 games. On the season Edmonton is one of the weaker teams in the league when it comes to keeping the puck out of their own net as they are allowing 3.2 goals per game. However, an overall disappointing season for the Oilers is starting to turn thanks to offensive production that has kicked into high gear. Indeed Edmonton has won 6 of their last 7 games and averaged 4.2 goals per victory during this stretch. It has been 3 straight overs for the Oilers and another one can be expected here! The last 21 times the Kings have played a game with 3 or more days of rest between games they have had only 6 unders! Also, 3 of the last 4 times Los Angeles has faced a team with a losing record, the result has been an over. Look for the over to go to 5-1 in the Kings last 6 games hosting the Oilers! Bet the OVER in LA in late night action Wednesday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) @ Colorado Avalanche, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Sharks are seeking revenge for a 5-3 loss in Denver last month. San Jose outshot the Avalanche 48 to 22 in that game but came out on the wrong end on the scoreboard. The Sharks are back on track heading into this game as they have won each of their last two games by a 3 to 1 count. The Avalanche are in a tough spot as they already lost their leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon to injury and now another top scorer, Mikko Rantanen, is banged up. Even if Rantanen plays tonight he'll be less than 100% and he is very sore and would be facing some physicality with the Sharks in this one. Colorado has lost 4 of 5 and, although starting goalie Semyon Varlamov is back, Jonathan Bernier is expected to get the start between the pipes tonight. Bernier has struggled recently and also feels additional pressure here since Varlamov is now available. The Avalanche have lost 3 of Bernier's last 4 starts and 3.5 goals per game were given up. The Sharks are definitely the healthier team and they've also allowed a total of only 4 goals in their last 3 games. San Jose has won 32 of 46 Tuesday games (+15.4 net units). The Sharks also have won 65 of 113 when playing with revenge. The Avs have lost 27 of 37 Tuesday games (-15.4 net units) and that includes 5 of 7 this season. The special teams edge and goalie edge both go to the road team in this one! Bet San Jose on the money line in late evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) vs Tampa Bay Lightning, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
Tough spot for Tampa Bay here as they are playing the 8th game of a 8-game road trip. Finally, the Lightning will play a home game on Thursday for the first time in 3 weeks. Don't be surprised if the Bolts get caught looking ahead to home sweet home and the Oilers are likely to take advantage here. Edmonton is hungry here as they have lost 3 of their last 4 meetings with Tampa Bay. Also, the Oilers are coming off of a home loss that followed a solid stretch where Edmonton had won 4 of their 5 prior games. Edmonton, after tonight's game, doesn't play again at home until next Monday! In other words, a strong effort from the home dog Oilers can certainly be expected here. The Lightning have allowed 3 goals or more in 7 of their last 10 games. The Oilers, before allowing 4 goals versus Colorado, had allowed just 2 goals in 4 of their 6 prior games and Talbot is expected back between the pipes tonight after Montoya had started versus the Avalanche. Bet Edmonton on the money line in late evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* UNDER: Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens, Sunday at 1:05 PM ET
Both of these teams are off of high-scoring wins yesterday that went over the total. However, this is a divisional match-up that should easily stay under the total. The Senators, prior to yesterday's high-scoring win, had stayed under the total in 5 straight games as they had averaged scoring just 1.2 goals per game during this stretch. The Canadiens, prior to yesterday's high-scoring win, had stayed under the total in 5 of their 7 prior games. The Habs had been held to 1 goal or less in 4 of those 7 games. Each of the last two meetings between these teams have only totaled 3 goals and there is value in this match-up with this total at 5.5 goals making 5 a "win" number! The play here is the over as we get plus money payback on the over 5.5 goals. The Kings will have extra jump in their skates after getting shutout but, on the other end of the ice, Los Angeles has given up 5 goals or more in 2 of their last 4 games. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (+) @ New Jersey Devils, Thursday at 7:05 PM ET
The Flyers are off of a 5-3 loss at Washington last night where they allowed 5 straight goals after leading the game 2-0 after 1 period. Look for Philadelphia to bounce right back against a divisional foe they've beaten 2 straight times and 3 of the last 4 meetings. In fact, in those 4 games the Devils have totaled only 5 goals. New Jersey is off of a win in their first game back after the All Star break. However, that victory came at the expense of one of the worst teams in the NHL - the Buffalo Sabres. Prior to that Devils win they had lost 4 straight games by a combined score of 12 to 3. The Flyers have lost back to back games but previously had won 8 of their last 9 games. New Jersey has lost 45 of their last 72 divisional games. In home games where the total is set at 5.5 goals, the Devils have lost 17 of 27. The Flyers get back on track here.
