ASA PLAY ON 9* Detroit Red Wings Money Line (-) over Ottawa Senators, Monday at 7 PM ET
The Senators are likely to make the post-season. The Red Wings, of course a proud Original Six NHL franchise, has been relegated to the role of spoiler. Detroit has 4 games remaining on their schedule and this is one of only 3 at the Old Joe. They want to make the most of these games and though they've lost 3 straight games, 2 of the 3 were on the road, and now the Red Wings will make the most of home ice. Overall, Detroit had won 5 of 7 before the recent losing streak. The Senators, on the other hand, have been stuck in a funk for multiple weeks. Ottawa, off of a loss at Winnipeg, has now lost 8 of its last 10 games. The Sens have averaged 1.7 goals per game during this tough 10-game stretch. The Red Wings, unlike the Senators, have been finding the back of the net lately as they've tallied at least 3 goals in 4 of their last 5 games. Overall, Detroit has taken 3 of the last 4 meetings between these clubs and that includes each of the last two meetings in the Motor City. The Senators are wrapping up a 5-game road trip and this is not a situation that has treated them kindly in recent seasons. When Ottawa enters a game having played 3 or more consecutive road games, they've lost 20 of 30 and that includes 7 of 9 this season. Look for the proud home team to stand up strong in this one! Bet the DETROIT RED WINGS on the money line in what should be divisional domination Monday evening!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Anaheim Ducks Money Line (+) over Calgary Flames, Sunday at 9:35 PM ET
The Ducks lost a tough one last night at Edmonton when they allowed the tying goal to be scored with under 2 minutes to go in the game and then lost in OT. However, Anaheim has shown plenty of resolve lately and, in fact, hasn't lost a game in regulation in over 3 weeks. The Ducks are 7-0-3 in their last 10 games. They now visit Calgary and the Flames just clinched a playoff spot with their 5-2 in over the Sharks Friday. Prior this win however, the Flames had gone 1-3-1 in their 5 previous games. Calgary will have trouble fighting off an Anaheim club that isn't quite ready to relinquish their grip on recent dominance of the Pacific Division. The Ducks, even with the tough loss to the Oilers last night, are still very much alive in terms of that battle and we expect a significant response tonight. The Ducks have won 7 of the last 8 meetings between these clubs and the average margin of victory in the last 8 games is 3 goals so don't be surprised if this is a road rout. Anaheim has won 29 of 44 games when they are entering a match-up after playing 3 or more consecutive road games. This is the Ducks final road game of the season and we suspect they will not be denied after that disappointing 'end-game result' last night in Edmonton. Bet the ANAHEIM DUCKS on the money line in this key divisional battle Sunday night!

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (-) over Montreal Canadiens, Saturday at 7:05 PM ET
The home team has won each of the last 3 meetings between these clubs and 4 of the last 5 overall. Also, even though this game is certainly important to both teams, the Bolts certainly need it more than the Habs. The Canadiens are hoping to win the Atlantic Division and still have work to do in that regard but he Lighting are playing their hearts out right now in hopes of just getting to the playoffs . Tampa Bay has won four straight games and also 43 of 71 home games where the total is set at 5.5 goals. Montreal has lost 21 of 37 road games where the total is set at 5.5 goals. The Canadiens have been outshot in both meetings with the Bolts this season and we again look for the Lightning to "carry play" in this match-up Saturday evening. Montreal comes into this game on a 3-game winning streak but they've only stretched a winning streak past 3 games one time since mid-November. As you can see, the odds are against the Canadiens stealing a road win here against a desperate Lightning club. We're grabbing the undervalued home team here with Tampa Bay on the money line Saturday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) over Edmonton Oilers, Thursday at 9:05 PM ET
Plenty of playoff implications here with these two clubs battling it out near the top of the Pacific Division. Both teams just recently clinched a post-season berth but for the Sharks this is nothing new but it snapped a long playoff drought for the Oilers when they were able to defeat Los Angeles Tuesday night. With that said, we would not be surprised to see Edmonton struggle to match the intensity and high level of play that they brought to the rink on Tuesday when they clinched a spot in an emotional game for the team and their fans on home ice. While the Oilers had been on a roll, the Sharks had been struggling and that's why their win over the Rangers Tuesday night (after regulation) was so important. Look for San Jose to use that as a springboard to a late season push upward in the standings and the road team has come out victorious in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these division rivals. The Oilers are only 12-17 against teams with a winning record this season and Edmonton has lost 7 of 11 this season when they have won 3 consecutive games or more. Coming into this one having won three straight, and facing a San Jose team that has won 73 of 120 when playing with revenge, we look for the Sharks to avenge a 4-1 home loss to the Oilers that occurred in late January despite SJ having a big edge in shots on goal. Time for payback tonight. We're grabbing the underdog with San Jose on the money line Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Ducks are looking to clinch a playoff berth by getting a win here and that would also improve their chances of getting a 5th straight Pacific Division title. The Canucks are checking on their golf gear as they' know they'll soon be on the golf course rather than being a part of the post-season activities. However, the result here is incredible home dog value with Vancouver. The last thing the Canucks want is for the division rival Ducks to clinch a post-season spot in Vancouver. The Canucks will go hard tonight and there is the potential for the home ice debut of rookie Brock Boeser and so there is a bit of a buzz around Vancouver right now. The Canucks are expected to have veteran Ryan Miller between the pipes and the Ducks will have Jonathan Bernier making the start. Even though Bernier has been playing well of late he still has a losing record on the road this season and there is a reason that John Gibson is Anaheim's number one netminder. Gibson is still recovering from a lower body injury and Miller gives the Canucks the netminding edge in this one. Additionally, on home ice and facing the top team from their division, Vancouver will bring its "A game" tonight! The Canucks have won 4 of the last 7 meetings with the Ducks and are very undervalued here. The Ducks are 7-13 this season when off of a win by 2 goals or more. Anaheim is also only 1-4 this season when they enter a game off of 3 or more consecutive wins. All things considered, we are confidently grabbing the generous underdog price with the home dog Canucks on the money line in this one late Tuesday night.

New York Rangers Money Line +125 over Anaheim Ducks @ 9 ET: This is the time of the year for upsets. Some teams face playoff pressure and then undervalued underdogs spring up and get the upsets. Even though the Rangers are in a back to back spot here they didn't have to travel as they faced the Kings in Los Angeles last night and now face the Ducks in Anaheim. The Rangers got the upset as the underdog last night and they can do it again here. Look for the return of goalie Henrik Lundqvist from injury to help provide a spark to the Rangers and their shutout win over the Kings also certainly was another spark as they gear up for the playoffs! New York is known for dominating their inter-conference match-ups and the Rangers have won 21 of 26 games against the Western Conference this season! The Ducks have won 3 straight games but are winless this season (0-4!) when they enter a game on a winning streak of 3 games. Also, Anaheim has lost 13 of 19 games when they are off of a win by a multiple goal margin. While the Ducks are still without #1 goalie John Gibson, the Rangers get their top netminder back Sunday and offer substantial line value as an underdog in this spot. The NEW YORK RANGERS are the play here as upsets continue to be the story in late-season NHL!

Vancouver Canucks Money Line +155 over Winnipeg Jets @ 8 ET: This is the time of the year for upsets. Some teams face playoff pressure and then undervalued underdogs spring up and get the upsets. That was the case yesterday with the Canucks as they got the big win at Minnesota as a huge dog. Though it may seem tough to back Vancouver after an upset, they are catching Winnipeg at the perfect time for another upset! The Jets just got back from a road trip to the West Coast and lost both games out west and have now lost 6 of their last 9. The Canucks have won 2 of their last 3 games and both wins were big road upsets including the win over the Wild yesterday and, previously, an upset win at Chicago. The Jets are off of a 3-1 loss at Anaheim so the quick reaction would be to back them off of of that loss but Winnipeg has lost 15 of 23 games this season when they are off of a defeat by a multiple goal margin. Also, the Jets have given up an average of nearly 4 goals per game in their last 9 games. VANCOUVER is the play here as upsets continue to be the story in late-season NHL!

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
The Penguins are off of a win that clinched a playoff berth. The Pens could be flat here as they have a pair of divisional games on deck and then the top team out west (Chicago) on deck. Pittsburgh is also a banged up team and though they've won three straight games the wins have come against non-playoff teams. The Penguins schedule has truly been rather light recently and yet they've still only won 3 of the 5 games. Injuries have been an issue and now the Pens face a Senators team that is playing with some extra desperation as they need points considering they had a recent 0-2-2 skid and are in a battle in the Atlantic Division with Montreal and the Sens also have the Maple Leafs nipping at their heels. Unlike Pittsburgh, Ottawa has yet to clinch a playoff spot and, as a result, they'll be very hungry on home ice tonight. The Senators got back on track with a win at Boston Tuesday and they have won 17 of 28 games against teams with a winning record this season while the Pens are surprisingly a money loser (down 2.3 net games) when facing teams with a winning record this season. The Senators have won 49 of their last 83 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Penguins have lost 36 of 61 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The home team has taken 6 of the last 8 meetings between these clubs. All things considered, we are confidently grabbing the generous underdog price with the home dog Senators on the money line in this one Thursday evening.

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) over Minnesota Wild, Tuesday at 8:35 PM ET
Double revenge spot for the Sharks as they've lost both games with the Wild this season and that includes a game at San Jose and one game here at Minnesota. That win in Minneapolis in fact is one of just two wins that the Wild have this entire month. Minnesota enters this match-up having lost 5 straight games and, overall, 8 of 10 games in March! The Sharks also are on a losing streak but they've outshot their last two opponents by a combined 64-47 margin and San Jose was red hot before their 3 game losing streak. San Jose won 7 of 9 games from late February through mid-March and this looks like the ideal spot for them to get back on track. Even though this is a back to back spot for the Sharks they've won 9 of 13 in that situation this season. Also, when San Jose has entered a game on a losing streak of 3 games or more this season, they've responded by winning the next game 4 of 5 times. The Wild have lost 7 of their last 10 games against teams with a winning record. Also, Minnesota has lost 20 of the last 31 times they've entered a game on a losing streak of 3 games or more. San Jose is trying to hold off the Oilers, Ducks, and Flames in the Pacific Division while the Wild are realizing they've already likely lost their division to the Blackhawks and you'll see more "fire" from the road dog than the home fave in this one! ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line (+) over Edmonton Oilers, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Stars were sellers at the trade deadline but that doesn't mean they've quit on the season and Dallas had won 5 of 7 before bad losses to a pair of strong teams. Now the Stars get a bit of reprieve as they take on an Oilers team that is slumping. Edmonton has lost 3 straight and 5 of its last 7 games and has now dropped into a Wild Card spot after having been in a battle for the Pacific Division lead. Dallas would love to play the role of spoiler here against a western conference rival and the Stars have won 25 of 38 when they were held to 1 goal or less in their prior game. The Oilers also are off of a poor effort and Edmonton has lost 43 of 65 when they were held to 1 goal or less in their prior game. These records span the last 3 seasons but even this season this is a favorable situation for a play against the Oilers as Edmonton has lost 9 of 14 this season while Dallas has won 8 of 14. Maybe Edmonton will get back on track but it is unlikely tonight. In fact, the Oilers have lost 11 of 14 this season and 34 of 44 in recent seasons in Tuesday games. Edmonton is being priced far too aggressively in this match-up and Dallas is motivated by the spoiler role in this one. This is the 3rd meeting between these clubs this season and, for the 3rd straight time, we look for the road team to get the W. ASA PLAY ON 9* Toronto Maple Leafs Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
Teams have gone 4-12-4 this season when coming off of the bye week. The new rule of every team having to have at least a 5-day period off during the season has resulted in tough sledding for teams when they resume from the bye. With no practice allowed for a period of time and a significant break period away from the rink, teams have dealt with a lot of issues in their first game back. That is the situation that Anaheim faces here and the ability to get a solid underdog price on the Maple Leafs when the Ducks are in a 4-16 (20%) situation is something we won't pass up. Toronto picked up an important point in last night's overtime loss at Los Angeles and the Leafs are 4-0 on Friday nights this season. Also, when on a losing streak of 3 games or more, the Maple Leafs have won 5 of 7 this season. The Ducks have lost 5 of 8 on Fridays this season and, in a nod to their continued inconsistency, Anaheim hasn't won back to back games since mid-January. Even though they are off of a loss entering this contest, the long-term inconsistency is still worth noting and Anaheim has been struggling to score goals. The Ducks have scored 2 goals or less in 8 of their last 11 games. The bye week is certainly unlikely to help that as Anaheim will struggle to get their timing back. ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line (+) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Tuesday at 8:35 PM ET
Pittsburgh is off of a big win at Heinz Field in the outdoor game versus the Flyers Saturday. Not only was that game a big event (and divisional win) for the Penguins, they also have a big game at Chicago on deck. The Blackhawks are always tough and that match-up is up next for a short-handed Pens team dealing with some injury issues (Sheary, Letang, Daley, Maatta, and Rust). The Penguins may look right past a struggling Stars team since they crushed them in December in Pittsburgh. Looking past Dallas will prove to be a mistake for the Pens as the Stars will be up for this after what happened at Pittsburgh in a 6-2 early December loss. Dallas had won 4 straight meetings with the Penguins and the Stars have held the upper hand with a 9-3-1 mark in the last 13 meetings in Dallas. Its always easy to get up for the defending Stanley Cup champs and the Stars have that added edge of extra motivation here as they look to avenge the early December loss. The Stars, off of a home loss to Boston, had won 3 straight on home ice before the Bruins bested them Sunday. We look for the bounce back here as the Stars are actually a little healthier now while the Penguins injury issues are building up. ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line over Minnesota Wild, Monday at 8:05 PM ET
Teams have struggled badly this season coming off of their bye weeks. Wild coach Bruce Boudreau is certainly a good coach but even he is concerned about the layoff and how it will impact his team on Monday night. Making matters worse for Minnesota is the fact they are hosting a Kings team that just made a huge trade to land Ben Bishop from Tampa Bay and they know have the top goaltending tandem in the league with Bishop and Jonathan Quick. The latter just made his return from injury Saturday in a 4-1 win versus Anaheim. All the good news for the Kings has LA buzzing with excitement right now about their playoff prospects and while they're sharp and have been on a game day/off day pattern for the past week, Minnesota comes into this game having not played since a 5-3 loss to Chicago Tuesday. Coming off of their break the Wild will be a little rusty this evening. The Kings have gone 9-4 this season when they are off of a win by 2 goals or more. After knocking off the Ducks 4-1 Saturday, the resurgent Kings roll again on the road tonight. ASA PLAY ON 9* St Louis Blues Money Line over Chicago Blackhawks, Sunday at 7:35 PM ET
This line just keeps climbing on the Blackhawks this morning and it is now offering big dog value on the Blues that is simply too good to pass up. St Louis beat the Blackhawks 4-1 in the most recent meeting between these teams. Also, the last time these teams met in Chicago, the Blues won 5-2 at the United Center. Other than the outdoor game played in St Louis in early January, the road team has won each of the other three meetings between these clubs. The Blues also knocked the Blackhawks out of the post-season last spring. The fact is that St Louis has had Chicago's number quite often and they come into this game off of back to back losses while the Blackhawks come into this one off of 3 straight wins. The Blues, coming off of their bye week, simply can't wait to get back on the ice and we look for St Louis to prove to the hungrier team in this match-up. In road games with a total set at 5.5 goals, St Louis has won 8 of 12 this season and 22 of 34 over the past 3 seasons. The Blackhawks have lost 7 of the last 10 times this season season when they have 2 or more days of rest between games. The Blues have won 3 of their last 4 when they have had 2 or more days of rest between games. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Anaheim Ducks Money Line over Boston Bruins, Wednesday at 10:35 PM ET
The Ducks are off of a tough loss at Arizona where they not only out shot the Coyotes by a sizable margin for the game, Anaheim out shot them in every single period. It was a strong effort for the Ducks and yet they ended up with nothing to show for it. This most definitely will result in an intense effort from Anaheim tonight. The Ducks have dominated the Bruins in recent meetings and, with a win already at Boston in December, are going for their third straight season series sweep. The Bruins have won 4 straight games entering tonight's match-up but Boston's win at San Jose Sunday was the first time this season that Boston was able to make it a 4-game run. The Bruins had lost all 4 times this season when entering a game on a winning streak of 3 games or more. Boston is now in the wrong place at the wrong time to extend that run as the Ducks have won 46 of their last 70 home games with a total set at 5 goals. Anaheim is hungry to get right back into the win column and the Bruins win over the Sharks was just their 2nd victory in their last 6 road games. The point is that Boston is getting a lot of positive press right now due to their winning streak since the coaching change but most of their recent wins have been at home and now they're being tremendously tested on the road. We don't foresee this one ending well for the Bruins as Anaheim has outscored them 14 to 5 in the last 3 meetings. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line over Vancouver Canucks, Sunday at 10:05 PM ET
The Flyers have been struggling and now this is their only chance to 'right the ship' in an otherwise 'quiet' part of their schedule as they face the Canucks Sunday night. Philadelphia had 2 days off coming into this game and they'll have 2 days off before their next game Wednesday in Philly. With that said, we expect a very focused Flyers team to take the ice in Vancouver tonight. Philly knows this is a critical game to 'stop the bleeding' as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive. Philadelphia is catching the Canucks at the right time as Vancouver is off of a tight win over Calgary last night. Not only was that a big divisional win for the Canucks, they also could be peeking ahead to their bye week here as they have 5 days off after this game! Vancouver has only won back to back games once since early January. In fact, prior to their win over the Flames, the Canucks had lost 12 of their last 18 games. Vancouver has lost 17 of 26 divisional games this season and the Flyers have won their last two meetings with the Canucks by a combined score of 7 to 4. With Philly off of back to back losses they'll respond here. The Flyers have not only outshot their opponent in 5 straight games, they've outshot them by a double digit margin in 4 of the 5 games. We expect their strong efforts to finally be rewarded here. Lay the small price with the Flyers on the money line in what should be a road rout Sunday night.

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line over Boston Bruins, Sunday at 8:35 PM ET
Teams have been horrible this season when coming off the new mandatory bye week the NHL instituted this season. Boston has been off since last Sunday and that win was their 3rd straight victory which offers another interesting angle here as well. The Bruins are 0-4 this season when they have achieved a 3-game winning streak. Boston will certainly have their hands full here as they face an angry Sharks team. San Jose not only lost at Boston last week (setting up revenge here), they also lost their most recent home game 6-5. The Sharks will use both of these factors for motivation here and that is why, even though this is a back to back for San Jose, their situational factors are much more favorable than those of the Bruins. Also, Boston has lost 4 of 5 when off of a shutout win this season and 15 of their last 21 when they have 3 or more days of rest between games. The Bruins also have lost 10 of 14 this season when they are off of a win by 2+ goals. The Sharks have won 70 of 111 when playing with revenge and also have won 7 of 10 this season when playing the back-end of a back to back situation. ASA TOP PLAY 10* Florida Panthers Money Line over Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
We successfully used the Panthers as an underdog at San Jose Wednesday and the set-up here in this Friday match-up involving Florida at Anaheim is nearly identical so we won't hesitate to step in. Even though the Panthers win over the Sharks Wednesday came in overtime, Florida never trailed the entire game and they had a multiple goal lead on multiple occasions including in the third period. San Jose's goal with less than a minute left is what forced overtime in that game. That night the Panthers were catching the Sharks off of a long road trip and in their first game back home. That is precisely the same situation here with Anaheim as the Ducks just got done with a long road trip back east and this will be the first game since coming back. As we've said before, the first home game back after a long road trip is often the toughest game. That said, look for Anaheim to struggle here and the hungry Panthers will take advantage. Florida is hell-bent on making a playoff push and they are proving it by winning 5 of their last 6 games. Taking a look at the Ducks, they had lost 4 of their last 5 games before notching a win at Minnesota Tuesday night. That was a bit of a fortunate win for Anaheim as they were outplayed for much of that game. That also was a big revenge win for the Ducks as that was their first victory over Bruce Boudreau since he went from Anaheim to the Wild in the off-season. That makes this a flat spot for the Ducks and they weren't playing that well as it was. Anaheim also has a huge game with big rival Los Angeles on deck and that strengthens this situation even more for Florida. The suspension of Antoine Vermette further weakens the Ducks for this game and defenseman Sami Vatanen is also questionable for Friday's game as he deals with a knee injury. The Panthers have won 12 of 18 this season and 38 of 63 in recent seasons after a game where they gave up 4 or more goals. ASA PLAY ON 9* Minnesota Wild Money Line over Dallas Stars Thursday at 8:05 PM ET
As you have seen with our selection service we release a fair number of underdogs and we're very careful about laying sizable prices in the money line sports of NHL and MLB. This is the upper reaches of the range we tap into from time to time and we won't hesitate to lay this price. The Wild were as big as a -200 favorite earlier today but, because back-up goalie Darcy Keumper is getting the start here, this line has fallen off and is available as low as a -155 in some books. This has led to tremendous line value on a Minnesota team coming off of a 1-0 home shutout loss Tuesday in a game where they did outplay the Ducks and deserved a better result. That is key here because we fully expect another strong and motivated effort from a Wild team that has not lost back to back games since early December. Simply put, Minnesota has a knack for bouncing back after a defeat and that is why this team is a fantastic 26-5-3 in their last 34 games! The Wild will take advantage of hosting a Dallas team that has had an injury-plagued season and comes into this game having lost 6 of its last 7 games. Overall, Dallas has lost 5 straight road games and they now face a hungry Minnesota team off of a rare loss. This one sets up "ugly" for Dallas and we look for the Stars struggles to continue. Dallas has lost 17 of 23 games against teams with a winning record this season. Lay the price with the Wild on the money line in what should be a home ice rout Thursday evening.

As for Florida, they're off of their fourth win in their last five games and they view this road trip (all against Western Conference foes) as absolutely key to making a playoff push. Getting off to a huge start (won 7-4 at Nashville Saturday) gives Florida a big boost heading into this match-up at San Jose. The Panthers also have revenge here as they lost at home to the Sharks early this season when Florida blew a 2-goal lead in the 4-2 loss. A big key here is that Florida has gotten much healthier over the past week and that should help trigger some continued big goal-scoring production. Also, the Panthers come into this game with 11 wins in 17 games this season when they are off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. The Sharks have lost 6 of 10 games this season - and 23 of 39 L3 seasons - when they enter a match-up having played each of their three prior games on the road. Grab the underdog value with the sizable road dog Panthers on the money line in this one late Wednesday night.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Buffalo Sabres Money Line over Ottawa Senators Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
Buffalo, and in particular goalie Robin Lehner, are fired up coming into this one. For the team as a whole, it is all about a disappointing 4-2 home loss to Vancouver Sunday. For Lehner, it includes the opportunity to face his former team and he has certainly made the most of these opportunities. Lehner, since being traded to the Sabres before the 2015 season, has gone 3-0-2 with a sparkling 1.18 goals-against average and a fantastic .961 save percentage versus his former team. Buffalo has won 4 of the last 5 meetings between the clubs and they catch their division rival off of a shutout home win over the Islanders. That is significant because prior to back to back wins the Senators had lost 5 of its last 7 games. Also, this season, when off of a shutout win Ottawa has lost 5 of 7 games! In the 7 games that preceded the back to back wins for the Sens, they allowed an average of 4 goals per game. Ottawa also has lost 4 of 5 this season after playing 3 consecutive home games and that is the situation here. The Sabres, before their disappointing loss to the Canucks, had allowed 2 goals or less in 4 of their last 6 games. Factoring in all of the above, the Senators were already overpriced when this line opened up around a -140 yesterday but now that the line is all way up to a -170, the fact is that the line value here with Buffalo is simply off the charts. We'll take it! Grab the underdog value with the sizable road dog Sabres on the money line in this one Tuesday evening.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Boston Bruins Money Line over Montreal Canadiens Sunday at 7:35 PM ET
Boston has made a coaching change and the results have been good as they enter this game off of back to back wins and also have victories in 5 of their last 7 games! The Canadiens are beginning to contemplate if they need to be the next team to make a coaching change as they have lost 11 of their last 17 games! This is a big divisional game and arguably the biggest rivalry in the NHL. These two Original Six rivals match up often and the Bruins have payback on their minds here. Surprisingly Montreal has enjoyed great success at Boston in recent seasons and the Bruins are in the right spot at the right time to put an end to it. Boston has won 11 of 16 home games with a total set at 5 goals or less this season. The Bruins also have won 14 of 18 divisional games that Tuukka Rask has started this season and he is expected to be between the pipes tonight. The Canadiens are expected to have Carey Price between the pipes tonight and he has not been in good current form with 13 goals allowed in his last 4 starts. Also, the Habs have a losing record this season in Price's road starts. We'll lay the price with the home fave Bruins on the money line in this one Sunday night.

ASA PLAY ON 7* Montreal Canadiens Money Line (-) over Arizona Coyotes, Thursday at 9:05 PM ET
The Canadiens are off of back to back shutout losses. While this line is a little more than we generally lay in money line sports, this is simply too strong of a situation to pass up on. Had the Habs been in Montreal for this game, the price would have been far too high. However, since the Canadiens are on the road, we are being given a moderate price to work with here and we'll gladly "lay it" as Montreal takes advantage of facing one of the worst teams in the NHL. The Coyotes have enjoyed some recent wins but this is still a team that has lost 74 of its last 98 games against teams with a winning record. Arizona is playing this game with revenge for a loss at Montreal earlier this season but the Coyotes have lost 26 of 35 games this season when playing with revenge! Also, the Canadiens have won 6 of 8 this season when they are off of a loss by a margin of 2 goals or more. The Habs have won 16 of 25 games against teams with a losing record this season. This game was preceded by a non-conference match-up and another non-conference game is on deck for Montreal so there is certainly no look-ahead in this spot. As a result, the Canadiens will be fully focused tonight as that is what back to back shutout losses will do for a team. The Canadiens just lost their 4th straight game and that makes this their longest losing streak of the season. They're prepared to do something about it tonight and will take advantage of facing a lesser foe. We'll lay the price with the road fave Canadiens on the money line in this one Thursday night.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Ottawa Senators Money Line (-) over Dallas Stars, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
The Senators are off of back to back shutout losses and were outscored 10-0. Prior to this the Sens had won 7 of their last 11 games and they'll certainly be in full "bounce back mode" for this one. Ottawa is hosting a Stars team whose season of misery (filled with injuries) continues. Dallas also is definitely not in a spot that has done well for them this season. In road games with a total set at 5.5 goals, the Stars have lost 17 of 21 games this season! Dallas, still short-handed due to injury issues, now faces a Senators club that has won 33 of its last 52 games when off of a loss by a multiple goal margin. We look for the Sens to get right back on track and knock Dallas for what would be their 14th loss in 19 non-conference match-ups this season. Grab the small home fave with the Senators on the money line in this one early Thursday evening.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (+) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Friday at 7:05 PM ET
The Penguins certainly were not happy about a 7-1 defeat they were dealt at Columbus a few days before Christmas earlier this season. Of course that makes this a revenge spot for Pittsburgh but revenge can be over-used at times and, in this case, this line going up and up and up is offering tremendous line value to the Blue Jackets. Columbus is one of the top teams in the league and they've won 6 of their last 9 meetings with the Pens so they've "had their number" in many recent match-ups. The big key here is that the Penguins are expected to be without one of their top forwards, Evgeni Malkin, and they also just recently lost winger Conor Sheary to injury. This certainly hurts the Penguins and they've been outshot 76 to 60 in the two games Malkin has missed since he got hurt. In comparing these two teams the Blue Jackets have the better power play and the much better penalty killing units. Those season-long numbers, of course, include the production of Malkin and Sheary so the edges for Columbus are even bigger on special teams with those two players out of the lineup. The Blue Jackets and Penguins are "neck and neck" behind the Capitals in the Metropolitan Division and we expect the Jackets to add to their edge over the short-handed Penguins by picking up the two points at Pittsburgh tonight. Grab the undervalued road dog with the Blue Jackets on the money line in this one early Friday evening.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (+) over Tampa Bay Lightning, Thursday at 7:05 PM ET
Montreal is off of a win but they have not managed back to back wins in the past 4 weeks. Overall, the Canadiens had lost 6 of their last 10 games before coming up with the home win versus Buffalo. Included in this stretch Montreal has lost 3 of its last 4 road games and the 3 defeats have come by a combined score of 11 to 2. They now face a Flyers team hungry to bounce back after a dismal effort on the road against the Hurricanes. In that loss at Carolina, Philly clearly wasn't ready to go and they need to make amends on home ice where they have won 10 of their last 13 games. Philadelphia only has a non-conference game on deck while the Canadiens have a big battle with Washington on deck. That sets this one up nicely for the Flyers to roll at home. Montreal has lost 20 of 35 road games when the total is set at 5.5 goals while Philly has won 36 of 59 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The home team has won each of the last 5 meetings between these clubs and it was a year ago to the day that the Flyers last hosted the Habs and Philadelphia got the 4-2 win. We expect a repeat today with fired up Philly off of a divisional loss. Grab the undervalue home team with the Flyers on the money line in this one early Thursday evening.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (+) over Boston Bruins, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
The Lightning are too strong of a team to stay down for long and this is the perfect point in the season (right after the All Star break) for the Bolts to gear up and start getting it done on the ice. Tampa Bay has lost each of its last three meetings with the Bruins on home ice. Those 3 games were decided by a combined 4 goals though and there should be some payback for the tight losses tonight. The Lightning had to endure a 6-game road trip right before the break but now begin a 4-game homestand and they have had this ultra-important stretch circled on their calendars. The Bruins have lost 4 of their last 5 road games and yet this game has taken on some Boston money based on the line move. We'll gladly fade that movement with a big play on the Lightning here on their home ice. Boston has given up 20 goals in their last 5 games away from home. Tampa Bay has won 18 of 24 games the past three seasons when they enter having had 3 or more days of rest between games. With these same parameters, the Bruins have been awful and have lost 15 of 19 games. That makes this a 33-12 spot in favor of the Bolts! Look for the Bruins to again struggle when playing with extra rest while the Lightning come out flying all over the ice in this one! Grab the undervalue home team with the Bolts on the money line in this one Tuesday night.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The loss of Jakob Silfverberg to injury is a significant one for the Ducks. He leads the team with a (+/-) of +13 and is also 3rd on the team in goals scored. The first game the Ducks played without the right winger they lost Saturday. Anaheim then rebounded for a win at Winnipeg Monday but the Ducks were outshot by the Jets. In fact were it not for a power play goal and a short-handed goal, the Ducks would have lost as the Jets outscored them 2-1 in 5-on-5 hockey. The Oilers come into this divisional match-up riding high as they eye their first playoff berth in 11 years. Edmonton is only 3 points behind Anaheim in the standings and they have a game on hand (which they will play tomorrow at San Jose) so the Oilers do have a chance to move in front of the Ducks before the All-Star break as Anaheim is idle tomorrow. Edmonton has won 5 of its last 6 games and the Oilers have won 8 of 12 this season when they are off of a game where they won by a margin of 2 goals or more. As for the Ducks, they have lost 3 straight games when facing a team with a winning record on the season. Edmonton has the more potent offense and, especially with Silfverberg out for Anaheim, look for that to be the difference here as Connor McDavid continues his fantastic season (leads the NHL in points). Grab the underdog price with the Oilers as a solid road dog on the money line in this one Wednesday night.
