ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights, of course, have not been here. The Kings have plenty of playoff experience. Granted, Vegas has plenty of players on its roster that have some playoff experience but, perhaps the most important one is goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and he has a checkered post-season past to say the least. Also, Vegas decision to play Fleury in the final regular season game was not a good one. While perhaps he did need the work, it risked injury plus his teammates hung him out to dry in the meaningless game. But make no mistake he didn't look great on some of those goals he allowed either and, in our opinion, that 7-1 loss did nothing to help him in terms of confidence entering the post-season. The Kings have added confidence from winning the past two match-ups between these teams and they also are very hungry after missing the post-season last year after a very early exit from the post-season the prior year. That was a tough post-season for Jonathan Quick two years ago but previously he has had some phenomenal post-season runs and he did compile a .921 save percentage this season. The Golden Knights lost 11 of their last 21 games and were quite "choppy" to finish off the season. In our opinion they were playing their best hockey quite awhile back and peaked too early . As for the Kings, prior to a season-ending loss to the Stars, they had won 12 of their 19 prior games. There is a reason LA was made such a small dog here. Look for the Kings to steal Game 1 on the road! Bet Los Angeles on the money line in late night action Wednesday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Nashville Predators Money Line (+) @ Washington Capitals, Thursday at 7:05 PM ET
The Predators are steaming mad. They had a goal disallowed in the final seconds of their 2-1 loss at Florida and every point right now is critical for them as they want that #1 seed for the post-season! Nashville has won 3 straight match-ups with the Capitals and while the Preds are fully focused and need points, Washington's playoff position is already set. They do not need any points and they are off of a big 4-2 win at St Louis that really was "the last hurrah" that they needed here in the regular season. So when the betting markets look at this game they look at a Capitals team that has been hotter than the Predators and yet this game is priced at roughly a "pick 'em" even though Washington is on home ice. This is enticing Capitals money but the sharps know that motivation very heavily favors the Predators in this one and, keep in mind, the Preds have the best record in the league right now! Nashville has 24 road wins this season and their 55 points earned away from home is tops in the league. After that frustrating loss to the Panthers, the Predators come out fighting mad here and lock up the #1 seed for the post-season! In road games with a total set at 6 goals or more, Nashville has won 9 of 12 games this season. Look for some key Capitals players (possibly even including Alexander Ovechkin) to sit out tonight. Certainly extra rest will be afforded some of Washington's top players. Road rout in the forecast here and the Predators have won each of the last 3 meetings by a combined score of 13 to 6. Bet Nashville on the money line in early evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Montreal Canadiens Money Line (+) vs Winnipeg Jets, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
The Jets are off of a win last night at Ottawa but it was a sloppy performance and they were lucky to escape with a 6-5 win. The fact is that Winnipeg knows they really can't catch Nashville at the top of the division and their playoff seeding, for all intents and purposes is really locked up already. With that said, the Canadiens are off great home dog value here. This is their final home game of the season and so we expect #1 goalie Carey Price to play. Also, we expect a huge effort from all of the Habs in front of their home fans. The Jets have actually lost 10 of 14 games when playing with home loss revenge. Also, Winnipeg has lost 43 of 65 games when playing the 2nd game of a back to back. This is the ideal spot for an upset and we're getting super home dog value with the Canadiens. Bet Montreal on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Colorado Avalanche Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights have revenge from a loss at Colorado Saturday but, keep in mind, very early this season was the last time the Avalanche visited Vegas and the Avs got destroyed 7-0. Of course this is a much different Avalanche team now and you'd better believe they are ready to respond here. Colorado needs this game even moreso than Vegas. While it is true that the Golden Knights have yet to clinch a playoff spot they are on the verge of it and it is the Avalanche who are fighting to secure a post-season berth. The key here is that the Avs are getting stellar goal-tending from Semyon Varlamov as 5 of his last 7 starts have not only been wins but have also been games in which Colorado allowed just a single goal. The Avalanche have averaged 3.9 goals a game their last 14 games. The Golden Knights have been held to 3 goals or less in 10 of their last 14 games. Also, the Knights have lost 4 of their last 6 games overall and also 4 of their last 6 games on home ice. You simply can't get much more value that what is being offered here with a big road dog looking to avenge an early season 7-0 road loss! Bet Colorado on the money line in late night action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) vs Anaheim Ducks, Sunday at 9:35 PM ET
Edmonton has great disdain for the Ducks. It was Anaheim that knocked the Oilers out of the post-season last year in a riveting 7-game series. With that said, there is nothing that Edmonton would love more than to help keep the Ducks out of the post-season this year. If the Oilers aren't going they don't want these division rivals going either! With that said, there is great line value in this spot with a hungry home dog. Yes the Oilers are in a back to back spot but they've won 3 straight games overall and 4 of their last 5 at home. Certainly they are playing their best hockey of the season and the Ducks come into this game having been outshot by a combined 71 to 34 in their last two games. Anaheim has lost 4 of its last 5 road games and the Ducks have scored a total of just 5 goals in those 4 defeats. The Oilers have scored 3 goals or more in 5 of their last 6 games and they've averaged 5.3 goals per game during their 3-game winning streak. The home dog badly wants (and gets) this contest as this is their last shot against their hated rivals for this season! Bet Edmonton on the money line in evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Anaheim Ducks Money Line (+) @ Winnipeg Jets, Friday at 8:05 PM ET
Winnipeg has been great at home this season but it is no mistake that the odds makers have priced the Jets so low for this one. Anaheim comes into this game red hot and certainly has the extra motivation of needing these points much more than a Winnipeg team that seems to be settled in quite nicely in 2nd place in the Central Division. Also, the Jets are going to be without their young star Patrik Laine and Winnipeg could have trouble getting much past Ducks goalie John Gibson. He is 12-3-1 in his last 16 starts and Anaheim has won 4 straight games. The Jets have won 3 straight games but they've lost 9 of 11 this season when they enter a game on a streak of 3 or more wins. The Ducks have won 15 of 23 this season when they're off of a game where they scored 4 or more goals. Bet Anaheim on the money line in evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 10* Top Play Ottawa Senators Money Line vs Florida Panthers, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
If the Senators aren't going to the post-season (they aren't!) they certainly don't want the division rival Panthers to be going either! Late-season angles like this are important to keep an eye on because some teams throw in the towel but others go hard and the latter is certainly the case with the Sens. Ottawa already beat the Panthers last Monday and that started a 3-game winning streak for the Senators. Now, after a tight loss at Columbus Saturday, the Sens have had two days off and are rested and ready for a Florida team that will be playing the 2nd game of a back to back. The Panthers got a key divisional win at Montreal last night 2-0 and now face another divisional foe on the road again and with no rest in between. Tough spot to say the least and the Panthers have lost 12 of 19 games this season when off of a win by a multiple goal margin. Also, Florida has lost 9 of their last 14 road games that had a total set at 6 goals or more. The Panthers had Roberto Luongo between the pipes last night and that means back-up James Reimer is likely to start tonight. Florida has lost 13 of his 20 road starts this season and his recent starts away from home have been disasters with a total of 37 goals allowed in 8 starts! The Senators will have Craig Anderson, their #1 goalie, getting the start tonight and they have won 4 of his last 5 starts. The Sens penalty kill at home has allowed just 3 goals in their last 23 penalty kills. The Panthers penalty kill on the road has given up 10 goals in their last 36 kill opportunities. The home road dichotomy here is huge as it relates to goaltending and special teams. Bet Ottawa on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

Revenge game for the Flyers after losing 4-1 to the Hurricanes in Philly on March 1st. Home ice has not mattered in recent meetings between these divisional rivals as the road team has now won 3 straight and we look for that trend to continue here. Both teams have struggled of late but the Flyers have won 8 of their last 11 games versus teams with a losing record and Carolina has won just 30 of 70 games this season. The Hurricanes have lost 14 of 22 divisional games this season and also have lost 12 of 19 when off of a loss by a margin of 2 goals or more in their prior game. The Canes enter this one having lost 10 of 13. Philly has been much more respectable of late with 11 wins in last 19 games and they're hungry for this one! Buffalo has been held to 2 goals or less in 8 of their last 12 games. Toronto has scored 3 goals or more in 17 of their last 21 games. Look for the Maple Leafs offensive production to be the difference maker here. Also the Leafs have 20 of 32 when playing with revenge this season and Toronto has won 8 of their last 11 games against teams with a losing record. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) @ Arizona Coyotes, Sunday at 9:05 PM ET
The road team has won each of the last 2 meetings between these clubs and the Canucks certainly are not happy about the measly 17 shots they mustered in their home loss to the Coyotes Wednesday. Arizona also is in a touch scheduling spot here as they were at Colorado yesterday and got blasted 5 to 2. The Coyotes have lost 9 of 10 this season when in the 2nd game of a back to back. Arizona has also lost all 4 of their Sunday games this season while Vancouver has won half their Sunday match-ups. The Coyotes have been held to scoring only 2 goals or less in 7 of their last 9 games. Even off of back to back tough games, Vancouver has scored 3 or more goals in 9 of their last 13 games. With Brock Boeser out for the Canucks, and with revenge from very recent game with the Coyotes, look for others on the Vancouver roster to bring their "A game" tonight to make up for Boeser's absence. With Arizona's struggles playing in the 2nd of a back to back, another road upset is on tap in this series. Payback time here! Bet the Canucks on the money line in late evening action Sunday

ASA PLAY ON 9* Montreal Canadiens Money Line (+) @ Florida Panthers, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
There is not enough of a difference between these two teams to justify the Panthers being a 2 to 1 favorite. Florida rallied multiple times from 2-goal deficits to eventually earn a point. That is the type of game that takes a lot out of team and now they host a Canadiens team that is off a 6-4 loss where the Habs didn't seem to start playing until they were down 4-0. Of course they are just playing the role of spoiler at this point in the season but, prior to the ugly loss at New Jersey had seemed to take to that role quite well and had been very competitive. Montreal is likely to bounce back as the loss to the Devils was their first loss in regulation in 8 games! The Canadiens were on a 7-game point streak prior to the loss as they had 3 wins, 2 SO losses, and 2 OT losses. As you can see, they've been "right there" and are still fighting hard and Florida is simply priced wrong here as they really left a lot on the ice in their loss to in-state rival Florida. The Canadiens have won 47 of their last 80 divisional games and they had won 4 straight against the Panthers before being shutout at Florida in late December. Payback time here! ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Flyers are expected to get Wayne Simmonds back for tonight's huge division rivalry showdown with their in-state rivals. Philly hates the Penguins with a passion and the arena will be rocking Wednesday night. The Flyers suffered an ugly loss when they hosted the Pens in early January but had won 4-0 the prior time they hosted Pittsburgh. Now it is time to avenge that ugly home loss with Simmonds back (truly a key player for Philadelphia), the Flyers will have all 4 lines rolling the way they want. They've got all the pairings they want for those 4 lines now. The Flyers had been red hot before the 3-game losing streak and look for the combination of the fact that Simmonds is back and a huge rival is in town (plus the revenge factor) to bring out the best in Philly here. The Penguins have lost 9 of their last 15 road games. Also, Pittsburgh has lost 11 of 18 road games with a posted total of 6 or more goals this season. The Flyers lost their most recent home game but previously had won 8 of their last 11 as a host. Their home ice winning ways resume here! Bet the Flyers on the money line in evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Arizona Coyotes Money Line (+) @ Edmonton Oilers, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Coyotes proved their recent run is no fluke as they beat the Senators (and us) in a tight win Saturday night. Arizona bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit and they continue to get fantastic goaltending. The Coyotes are now 8-2-1 in their last 11 games and while both Arizona and Edmonton are simply "playing out the string" on an otherwise disappointing season, only one of these teams is playing like they care. It is easier for Arizona to work hard and build for next season as not much was expected from this season and now this group is starting to jell and build for next season. As for the Oilers, it is a different story altogether as they came into this season with high hopes and now have seen all that fade away with huge disappointment. When they made a little push in late January and early February there was still some glimmer of hope for Edmonton. However, in the past month since then, the Oilers have lost 11 of 15 and the season is finished for them and they know it and they're playing like it. Goalie Cam Talbot has lost 3 straight starts. Back-up goalie Al Montoya is 1-1-1 with a 4.23 GAA in his recent appearances. While the goaltending of Edmonton has been awful, the netminding for the Coyotes has been great. Arizona's Antti Raanta has been on fire between the pipes but the Coyotes also now have Darcy Kuemper available and he is 5-1-1 with a 1.70 GAA and in his career against the Oilers. Arizona has played better of late but, prior to their win over Minnesota in their most recent game, the Coyotes were held to an average of only 1.5 goals per game in their last 4 games. The Senators, on the other hand, have been scoring plenty of goals as they are averaging 3.4 goals per game their last 12 games. The Sens are 7-7-1 in their last 15 games. Ottawa has won 4 of its last 7 games versus teams with a losing record while Arizona has lost 16 of 23 games this season versus teams with a losing record. San Jose entered that game on an overall run of 3 straight losses and 10 defeats in their last 17 games. The Blackhawks enter this game off of a loss but had previously won 4 of their 5 prior games. Even though Chicago is without goalie Corey Crawford, they've allowed an average of only 2 goals per game their last 5 games. The Sharks have allowed an average of 3.4 goals per game in their last 8 home games. San Jose has not scored a power play goal in 10 straight games! The Blackhawks have scored a power play goal in 7 of their last 12 games. Chicago off of a loss and the Sharks off of win has set this one up nicely for road dog value. The Blues also are seeking revenge for a 6-2 home loss to the Wild 3 weeks ago. Payback time here. St Louis has outshot Minnesota 119-70 this season and ye only has 1 win in those 3 match-ups. Suffice to say this is a STRONG triple revenge spot for the Jackets and they are offering great line value at a small price on home ice. The Capitals have undoubtedly been a nemesis for the Blue Jackets of late as they also won the final 3 meetings of last season's series. However, Columbus has certainly deserved better this season and tonight we feel the payoff will finally be there for them. The Blue Jackets are playing solid defensive-minded hockey and they've won 7 of 10 this season when they enter a game on an under streak of 3 or more consecutive games remaining under the total. Washington is off of a big 5-1 win versus Buffalo but they are 0-3 the last 3 times they've held a team to 2 goals or less. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in early evening action Monday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
The Sharks had won 3 straight games and 5 of their last 6 before getting thoroughly embarrassed in a 7-1 shellacking at Nashville last night. Sharks back-up goalie Aaron Dell had a rare awful game last night but now #1 goalie Martin Jones will be back between the pipes tonight. Jones has been fantastic of late while the Blackhawks have continued to struggle in goal because of the absence of Corey Crawford. Prior to last night, in San Jose's last 5 games they had not allowed more than 2 goals in any game. The Sharks had allowed an average of only 1.8 goals per game during this stretch. Coincidentally, in their last 5 road games San Jose had also held their opponents to an average of just 1.8 goals per game. While the Blackhawks are off of a rare victory, they have recorded back to back wins only 2 times since mid-December! This has been an awful stretch for Chicago as they had lost 13 of 16 before the win over Ottawa. By the way, the Senators are having an awful season and it took the Hawks a 7-round shootout to win that game over the Sens. The point is that Chicago has been relegated to the role of spoiler late this season and it hasn't gone well as, when they've played playoff-caliber teams, they've lost more often that not. The Sharks have won 38 of 57 when off of a loss by 2 goals or more in their prior game. Also, San Jose has won 9 of 12 this season when off of a game where they scored 1 goal or were shutout. Chicago, against teams with a winning record, has lost 20 of 28 this season. Bet the Sharks on the money line in evening action Friday.

Also, Nashville has allowed an average of 3 goals per game in their last 9 games. The Sharks have a history of struggling at Nashville but that is all the more reason for extra motivation in this spot. The Golden Knights are off of a 2-0 home shutout. Prior to that defeat Vegas had won 3 straight games. However, all 3 of those games were against teams that would not be in the playoffs if the post-season started today. That holds significance for sure because, prior to that the Golden Knights have been proving to be vulnerable. You knew it couldn't last forever and the amazing 1st half of the season that Vegas had is starting to show some blemishes. In their last 6 games against playoff-level teams (including the loss to Anahiem) the Golden Knights have lost 4 of 6. Vegas has only won 4 of their last 8 home games overall and there is big dog value here with the underdog Flames. Calgary is seeking revenge for a home loss to the Golden Knights last month. Vegas currently is dealing with injury issues and some illness concerns impacting a number of players. Calgary, though still without goalie Mike Smith, has seen David Rittich allow 3 goals or less in 3 of his last 5 starts. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs Montreal Canadiens, Tuesday at 7:05 PM ET
Big line move toward the Canadiens here and it is because the Flyers have injury issues at the goalie position. However, Lyon played very well between the pipes in relief of Neuvirth Sunday and Philadelphia's spirits are up too as they have been red hot plus picked up goalie Mrazek from the Red Wings. In other words, a downturn for the Flyers is unlikely here and they are the much hotter team entering this match-up. Philadelphia has won 6 of their last 7 games while Montreal has lost 5 straight! Also, the home team has won 9 straight meetings between these clubs. With home ice meaning so much in this series, plus the Flyers playing much better than the Habs of late, and the big money line move toward the wounded Canadiens here (physically and mentally wounded we might add), the value is clearly with Philly at a great price at home. Also, Montreal has lost 18 of 26 games versus teams with a losing record this season. The Flyers have won 38 of 62 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals by the odds makers. Lay it! ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Monday at 8:35 PM ET
Big line move toward the Blackhawks here has opened up great line value on the Kings. Los Angeles has gone from being the favorite here to being a +110 underdog and Chicago, still without their top goal-tender, simply is fooling the markets here in our opinion. Yes the Blackhawks are off of a huge 7-1 win over the Capitals Saturday but Chicago had previously lost 8 straight. Also, Blackhawks back-up goalie Anton Forsberg faced only 20 shots in the win and he is likely to face much more than that here. While Chicago is desperate to stay alive in the playoff race the Kings also need every point they can get right now as they had lost 3 straight before their win at Buffalo Saturday. The difference between LA and Chicago though is that the Blackhawks have been in a long-term poor stretch while the Kings, prior to the 3-game losing streak, had won 6 of 8. Also, LA is expected to have #1 goalie Jonathan Quick between the pipes. Los Angeles has won 20 of 29 games against teams with a losing record this season. Chicago has lost 19 of 27 games against teams with a winning record this season. Also, even though the Hawks are playing with revenge here, they have lost 20 of 29 revenge opportunities this season! The big line move makes this the perfect spot to back an under-valued road team. Bet the Kings on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (-) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Sunday at 6:05 PM ET
The Penguins are off of a revenging win versus the Maple Leafs yesterday and now walk right into the teeth of revenge here as it is the Blue Jackets seeking revenge on the Pens. Not only did Pittsburgh eliminate Columbus from the post-season last year, the Penguins also have taken each of the first two meetings this season. Now the Jackets are catching the Pens at the right time to exact revenge as the Penguins won't have much left in the tank after yesterday's big win. Pittsburgh is off of a successful homestand but has lost 6 of 7 this season when they enter a game having played each of their 3 prior games at home. As for Columbus, they've been off since Friday's OT loss versus Philadelphia and the home team has won 12 of the last 15 meetings between the Blue Jackets and Penguins. The small price makes this the perfect spot to back an under-valued home team. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in early evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Toronto Maple Leafs Money Line (+) @ Pittsburgh Penguins, Saturday at 7:05 PM ET
The Maple Leafs and Penguins are both red hot but what we love about Toronto here is that, because they are on the road we get sizable underdog money line value. The Leafs exceptional value is enhanced by the fact that, in comparison with Pittsburgh, they have the more balanced scoring. The Pens rely heavily on their top line while the Leafs have better balance in terms of where their goals come from. Also, the Maple Leafs have the added confidence of having won 3 straight in this series. Toronto already won at Pittsburgh earlier this season and are a little hungrier than the Pens. Keep in mind Pittsburgh is the back to back Stanley Cup champions while the Maple Leafs have been trying to finally climb the mountain after many years of frustration. The fact is that the Leafs are finally "getting there" and they continue to prove that with another win over the Penguins here. The Maple Leafs have won 9 of 10 and have allowed just 2 goals per game in those 9 wins. The Penguins are off of a 3-1 win but allowed 3 goals per game in their 8 prior games. Pittsburgh certainly playing well but the Leafs have been even better in terms of their ability to keep the puck out of their own net. Bet the Maple Leafs on the money line in early evening action Saturday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Dallas Stars Money Line vs St Louis Blues, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
Rivalry game and the well-rested Stars coming off of a 6-0 home loss will be ready to rout the division rival Blues here. St Louis has lost 2 straight and 3 of their last 6. The Blues have allowed 4 goals or more in 3 of their last 5 games. Dallas had allowed an average of just 1.6 goals per game in their 5 game winning streak that preceded the ugly home loss to Vancouver. In other words, you can view the Stars loss to the Canucks as an aberration. The home team has won 6 of the last 7 meetings between these teams and we feel this price is a very fair one on Dallas and that makes the Stars well worth the investment here. The Stars have won 44 of their last 66 when off of a loss by 2 goals or more. The Blues have lost 13 of 23 when playing with revenge and the extra time off for Dallas heading into this one gives them a big edge. They've had great practices this week and were able to fully game plan for their division rival. Bet the Stars on the money line in evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line @ Nashville Predators, Thursday at 8:05 PM ET
The Flames are off of a loss but had previously won 4 of their last 5. Even though goalie Mike Smith is out tonight, David Rittich has been playing well between the pipes for Calgary. Also, the road team has won 6 of the last 8 meetings between these teams and the Flames are seeking to avenge a 2-0 home shutout loss in December. As for the Predators, they faced the Blues on the way to the Stanley Cup finals last spring and they are coming off of a big win over division rival St Louis in their most recent game. While the Preds are off of a divisional win, the Flames are off of a non-conference match-up and with another non-conference game on deck. Calgary fully focused here and the same can not be said for the Predators. Nashville is a quality team but they've lost half of their games this season when coming off of a divisional game. In other words, the Preds are over-priced here. This is especially true given the road dominance that has been synonymous with this series in recent years. Calgary has won 9 of 13 this season when off of a loss by 2 or more goals in their prior game. Expect them to prove that "bounce back ability" once again here. Bet the Flames as a big dog on the money line in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
The Oilers were eliminated from the post-season in a grueling 7 game series by the Ducks last May. Edmonton earned some measure of revenge with a home win versus the Ducks in early January but this will be their first visit to Anaheim since losing Game 7 here on May 10th. Prior to that loss, including playoff games, the Oilers had won 3 of their last 5 games played in southern California. Edmonton is off of a loss at Los Angeles Wednesday but previously had won 5 of their last 7 games. The Oilers have not lost back to back games since early January and we expect a big response here after the loss to the Kings. Anaheim is off of a win but previously had lost 3 straight games and the Ducks are playing their first game back on home ice after a long road trip to the Northeast. The first game back after a long cross country trip like that are often the toughest. Look for that to be the case again here and grab the value with the road dog. John Gibson will be back in goal tonight for his first start since missing time due to a groin injury. He could be rusty here for the Ducks. Anaheim has lost 22 of 38 (-15 net units) on Fridays. The Oilers have won 10 of 13 divisional games this season. Bet Edmonton in late night action Friday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) @ Colorado Avalanche, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Sharks are seeking revenge for a 5-3 loss in Denver last month. San Jose outshot the Avalanche 48 to 22 in that game but came out on the wrong end on the scoreboard. The Sharks are back on track heading into this game as they have won each of their last two games by a 3 to 1 count. The Avalanche are in a tough spot as they already lost their leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon to injury and now another top scorer, Mikko Rantanen, is banged up. Even if Rantanen plays tonight he'll be less than 100% and he is very sore and would be facing some physicality with the Sharks in this one. Colorado has lost 4 of 5 and, although starting goalie Semyon Varlamov is back, Jonathan Bernier is expected to get the start between the pipes tonight. Bernier has struggled recently and also feels additional pressure here since Varlamov is now available. The Avalanche have lost 3 of Bernier's last 4 starts and 3.5 goals per game were given up. The Sharks are definitely the healthier team and they've also allowed a total of only 4 goals in their last 3 games. San Jose has won 32 of 46 Tuesday games (+15.4 net units). The Sharks also have won 65 of 113 when playing with revenge. The Avs have lost 27 of 37 Tuesday games (-15.4 net units) and that includes 5 of 7 this season. The special teams edge and goalie edge both go to the road team in this one! Bet San Jose on the money line in late evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) vs Tampa Bay Lightning, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
Tough spot for Tampa Bay here as they are playing the 8th game of a 8-game road trip. Finally, the Lightning will play a home game on Thursday for the first time in 3 weeks. Don't be surprised if the Bolts get caught looking ahead to home sweet home and the Oilers are likely to take advantage here. Edmonton is hungry here as they have lost 3 of their last 4 meetings with Tampa Bay. Also, the Oilers are coming off of a home loss that followed a solid stretch where Edmonton had won 4 of their 5 prior games. Edmonton, after tonight's game, doesn't play again at home until next Monday! In other words, a strong effort from the home dog Oilers can certainly be expected here. The Lightning have allowed 3 goals or more in 7 of their last 10 games. The Oilers, before allowing 4 goals versus Colorado, had allowed just 2 goals in 4 of their 6 prior games and Talbot is expected back between the pipes tonight after Montoya had started versus the Avalanche. The Flyers are off of a 5-3 loss at Washington last night where they allowed 5 straight goals after leading the game 2-0 after 1 period. Look for Philadelphia to bounce right back against a divisional foe they've beaten 2 straight times and 3 of the last 4 meetings. In fact, in those 4 games the Devils have totaled only 5 goals. New Jersey is off of a win in their first game back after the All Star break. However, that victory came at the expense of one of the worst teams in the NHL - the Buffalo Sabres. Prior to that Devils win they had lost 4 straight games by a combined score of 12 to 3. The Flyers have lost back to back games but previously had won 8 of their last 9 games. New Jersey has lost 45 of their last 72 divisional games. In home games where the total is set at 5.5 goals, the Devils have lost 17 of 27. The Flyers get back on track here. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Calgary Flames, Tuesday at 9:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights have had a fantastic inaugural season and dominating their divisional games has played a key role. The only team they haven't met yet is Calgary and they're fired up for this opportunity tonight. Vegas is 11-2 in divisional games this season and the only team that has beaten them is Edmonton...twice...and once was here in the province of Alberta. That said, even tough this game is against the Flames rather than the Oilers, the Golden Knights have been looking forward to this trip and an opportunity to erase the bad memories of an 8-2 loss at Edmonton earlier this season. Vegas lost their most recent game but previously had won 17 of their last 22 games and they're hungry to get right back on track tonight. Calgary has lost 4 straight games and 16 of their last 29. The Flames have scored just a single goal in each of their last 3 home games. The Golden Knights have averaged 4 goals per game in their last 3 road games! While Vegas has dominated divisional action, the Flames have lost 47 of 78 against divisional foes. Also, the Golden Knights have won 16 of 23 games against teams with a winning record. Calgary, in the 2nd half of a season, has lost 25 of their last 37 games against teams with a winning record. Bet Vegas in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
This match-up always means a little extra to the Jets as they were embarrassed by the Ducks in the post-season when they got swept 4 games to 0 in April of 2015. Winnipeg has won each of the past two games with the Ducks and they also come into Anaheim red hot. The Jets have won 9 of their last 12 games entering this match-up. The Ducks are off of a win but previously had lost 16 of their last 28 games. Winnipeg has won 14 of 20 games against teams with a losing record this season. Anaheim has lost 17 of 27 games against teams with a winning record this season. The Jets have 7 power play goals in their last 7 games and have the better power play stats on the season compared to the Ducks. Anaheim has allowed 7 power play goals in their last 5 home games. This looks like a mismatch and the value is with the small underdog on the road. Bet the Winnipeg in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
Columbus is off for a week after tonight's game so they're certainly going to go all out here in their final contest before the All Star break. The Blue Jackets have allowed 2 goals or less in 5 of their last 7 games. The Golden Knights have scored just 2.3 goals per game in their last 3 home games so there is value with the dog here. Vegas is off of a huge road win at Carolina and now returns from that East Coast road trip and could be flat here. The Golden Knights wrapped up the trip with 3 games in 4 nights and that can take a lot out of a team. Don't be surprised if Vegas is somewhat "off" tonight and they do have another home game on deck for Thursday so, unlike Columbus, this is not their final home game before the All Star break. Before the win over the Hurricanes, the Golden Knights had finally slowed down with losses in 3 of their 4 prior games. The Blue Jackets have won 11 of 17 when playing with 3 or more days of rest between games. Strong effort here for a rested Columbus team wanting to close the first half of the season with a big road win. Bet the Blue Jackets on the money line in late night action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Los Angeles Kings Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
We successfully went against the Kings last night as they were clearly looking ahead to this rematch with the rival Ducks tonight. Now we'll come right back with a play on Los Angeles in a value spot as a big dog. The Kings are a sizable dog here even though they've won 4 of 6 this season when playing the 2nd game of a back to back. Plus Los Angeles has rarely lost 2 in a row to Anaheim in recent meetings between these teams. That said, having suffered a home loss to the Ducks last week, look for the Kings to respond big here. Los Angeles has won 16 of 22 games this season against teams with a losing record and Anaheim has won just 21 of 46 games on the season. The Ducks have lost 16 of 25 games this season when facing a team with a winning record. Anaheim is off of a big win and has lost 7 of 11 this season when off of a win by a multiple goal margin. These teams are known to play tight physical games against each other and a low-scoring grinder favors the road dog here. Bet the Kings on the money line in late night action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (+) @ Los Angeles Kings, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
Pittsburgh is playing the 2nd night of a back to back but of course there was no real travel involved considering they faced Anaheim last night and now face Los Angeles tonight. Also, in the 2nd game of a back to back Anaheim is 4-0-2 their last 6 so they've earned at least a point in all 6. The Penguins are playing with revenge here as, despite winning the Stanley Cup each of the last two seasons, they have been swept by the Kings in each of those seasons! The Kings have been held to 2 goals or less in 4 of their last 5 home games. This certainly could prove troublesome against a Pittsburgh team that has won 5 of its last 7 games and averaged scoring 4.8 goals per game in those 5 victories. With back to back wins before their bye followed by back to back wins after their bye week, the Pens aren't going to let one loss (last night) take away all their momentum. Their power play has been red hot and Los Angeles has lost 14 of 18 games versus teams with a winning record this season. Pittsburgh has won 41 of 55 games in recent seasons after a loss by 2 or more goals in their prior game. Also, the Pens have won 16 of 21 games this season when they are off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. Bet the Penguins on the money line in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
Pittsburgh is playing with revenge here as they lost 4 to 0 at home versus the Ducks in November. The Penguins did win the last match-up between these teams in Anaheim by a 5-1 count. That said, the road team has won the last two meetings by a combined score of 9 to 1 and certainly any home ice edge has proven to not be a factor in recent meetings. The Ducks have been held to 2 goals or less in 3 of their last 4 games. Also, in home games Anaheim has been held to 2 goals or less in 2 of their last 3. This certainly could prove troublesome against a Pittsburgh team that has won 5 of its last 6 games and averaged scoring 4.8 goals per game in those 5 victories. With back to back wins before their bye followed by back to back wins after their bye week, the Pens seem to have proven they are ready to turn the corner on their "up and down" season. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 8:05 PM ET
The Predators could be without starting goalie Pekka Rinne tonight as Juuse Saros has been called up from Milwaukee, the Preds AHL affiliate. Nashville is also playing their first game after having been off for an extended stretch due to their bye week. It is always tough to get started up again after a layoff and the Predators also could be without Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg. These are the #1 and #3 point producers and Nashville will definitely be without Forsberg tonight. The Golden Knights also recently had their bye but they already have a game under their belt since coming back. That is certainly an advantage here and also some added motivation as Vegas did lose that game. That was an OT loss to Edmonton and defeats have been few and far between for a Golden Knights team that has ranked among the best in the NHL in their surprising inaugural season. Vegas has won 10 of 12 this season when off of a divisional game. Nashville has lost 6 of its last 10 games and the week off took away any momentum after winning back to back games just prior to their bye week. ASA PLAY ON 9* New York Islanders Money Line (+) @ Montreal Canadiens, Monday at 7:35 PM ET
The Canadiens just lost a very important game as they were defeated by their biggest rival and fellow Original Six member, the Bruins. Not only that, on deck for Montreal is an immediate chance at payback as they play at Boston Wednesday. In other words, the value of this game to the Islanders pales in comparison to Saturday's home loss and Wednesday's big game on deck. With that said, there is great underdog value here with the Islanders. The road dog in this one is off of back to back wins and feeling the confidence build with a huge 7-2 victory over the Rangers Saturday. Granted that was a big game for the Isles too but they got the win and have a game against a Devils team they recently beat on deck. The point is that the Islanders aren't in the same "distracted" scheduling situation that the Habs are in. New York also has dominated the Canadiens in their last two meetings with victories by a combined score of 6 to 1. We expect that domination to continue tonight as Montreal continues to struggle. They already have lost 6 of their last 8 games. While the Canadiens only have averaged 1.8 goals their last 8 games, the Islanders have averaged 4 goals per game their last 4 games! Montreal has lost 9 of 14 after a divisional game this season while the Islanders have won 10 of 13 after a divisional game this season. Bet the Islanders on the money line in evening action Monday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (-) @ Chicago Blackhawks, Friday at 8:35 PM ET
The Blackhawks have been getting good goal-tending from Anton Forsberg recently as they continue to wait for Corey Crawford's return. However, with the bye week upcoming for Chicago, they are expected to use Jeff Glass tonight and get him some work in advance of the bye week. He is a 32-year old NHL rookie which, that right there tells you a lot about Glass. In his 4 starts at the NHL level since making his debut with the Blackhawks he has compiled a 3.51 GAA and he has an .884 save percentage on home ice. It is a lot of pressure on him here to try and come up with a good start on home ice and facing a tough divisional match-up. We expect Glass to again struggle at the United Center. The Jets are the highest scoring team in the Western Conference this season. Also, unlike the Blackhawks, Winnipeg has their #1 goalie available tonight and he has certainly been on top of his game. Connor Hellebuyck just got named to the All Star team and he has a fantastic 23-4-6 record with a stellar 2.36 goals-against average and .923 save percentage on the season. The Jets come into this game seeking revenge as they lost each of their last two meetings with the Blackhawks in Winnipeg. Those home losses continued a trend in recent meetings between these divisional foes. That trend is that home ice hasn't mattered! Not only has the road team won 5 straight in this series, those 5 victories have come by a combined score of 20 to 8. We expect another road dominated game here as the Jets come in having scored 4.3 goals per game in their last 7 games (6 of those being wins). Big goaltending edge here with Winnipeg having their #1 goalie and the Blackhawks using their #3 goalie. Also, the power play of the Jets is a big edge and the revenge factor will insure they don't take their foot off of the gas in this one. Chicago has 21 wins in their 43 games this season and Winnipeg has won 13 of 18 against teams with a losing record this season. The Blackhawks have lost 14 of 19 games against teams with a winning record this season! Bet the Jets on the money line for a Top Play in evening action Friday.

The Flames, on the other hand, still have two more games on deck (including one tomorrow) before their bye "week" begins. The road team won both games in this series last season and Calgary enters this match-up on a 4-game winning streak. The Flames, when on a winning streak of 3 or more consecutive games, have won 15 of 23 games. The Bolts have allowed at least 4 goals in each of their last two home games. The Flames have allowed 3 goals or less in 15 straight games! Calgary has allowed an average of just 2.2 goals per game during this impressive stretch of defensive work and goal-tending. ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) @ Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 8:05 PM ET
We like to look for situations where you have an overvalued favorite in an unusual scheduling situation and that is the case here with Nashville. Even though the Predators are off of a win at Los Angeles Saturday, they now have a one week bye on deck and could easily get caught overlooking this game considering their recent dominance of Edmonton. The issue for Nashville is they really can't afford to overlook anyone. Prior to the Preds win over the Kings, they had lost 6 of their last 8 games and been held to an average of only 2.1 goals per game in their last 9 games. The Oilers want this game badly as the Predators have been a nemesis for Edmonton in recent seasons. In their only meeting this season, the Oilers lost badly at home despite doubling up the Preds 46 to 23 in shots on goal. That meeting took place only about 3 weeks ago and Edmonton is ready to explode here after back to back road losses where they scored just 1 goal in each game. The Oilers have underachieved this season but they're very talented and ready to turn things around here at the midway point. Predators have actually lost 7 of 12 games against teams with a losing record this season and they get caught anticipating their bye week one day too early! Detroit is off of a huge home win on New Years Eve as they got the big win over the two-time defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to that victory the Red Wings had lost 13 of their 17 previous games. Now the Wings, off of that very satisfying home win, face a Senators team that is very hungry and agitated after an embarrassing 5-0 home loss to Boston that absolutely has to be rock bottom for Ottawa. The Sens have had a bad schedule filled with a ton of road games but they have a homestand on deck and they want to bounce back and get some momentum in this game tonight which is their final road game until next Wednesday. Ottawa has won 43 of 75 (+14.0 net units) when off of a divisional game. The Red Wings have lost 10 of 14 divisional games this season and, even though they're playing with revenge here, Detroit has lost 15 of 23 when in the revenge role. The Red Wings have lost 30 of 46 when playing with 2 days of rest between games and could be rusty here both physically and mentally (they really wanted that game over the Pens Sunday). ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (-) vs Nashville Predators, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
Nashville is off of a key divisional win over Minnesota which they won in shutout fashion 3-0. Prior to that victory the Preds had lost 4 of their 5 previous games. Now the Predators face a Vegas team that has won 7 straight games! The Golden Knights have given up only 1.7 goals per game during this hot streak. On the season Vegas is scoring an average of 3.6 goals per game which makes them one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Certainly the Golden Knights have not played like an expansion team! Vegas has had incredible success at home with 16 wins in 19 games. The Predators are a solid team but they are off of that big win over the Wild and also have averaged scoring just 2.2 goals per game in their last 5 games. Nashville has lost 10 of 16 (including 3 of 4 this season) when off of a shutout win. The Golden Knights are a bargain in this price range considering the way they've been playing and with consideration to the Predators being off of such a big win. ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
This is a back to back for the Flames here but, coming off of a loss, they're still going to be hungry here. Also, Calgary saved goalie Mike Smith (their #1) so they could use him in this game tonight. Even though the Flames won at Anaheim earlier this season, it is hard to say that the revenge factor truly belongs with the Ducks here. That's because Anaheim eliminated Calgary from the post-season last April and the Flames certainly still aren't over that! Look for Calgary to bring another strong effort here and Smith should enjoy success as the Ducks are averaging just 2.3 goals per game in divisional games this season. By comparison, the Flames are averaging 3.3 goals per game this season in divisional games! Anaheim has lost 7 of 10 divisional games this season and also 5 of 6 on Friday nights! The Flames have won 4 of 5 this season when playing the 2nd game of a back to back! Bet Calgary on the money line in late night action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+) @ Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Golden Knights come out of the Christmas break having won 8 of their last 9 games. Of course the newest NHL franchise has arguably been the biggest surprise of the season and, now that we're nearing the midway point of the season, there is no denying that Vegas is a legitimate playoff-level team. The Golden Knights have already defeated the Ducks twice this season. Although that makes this a revenge spot for Anaheim, the Ducks haven't been anything special (won 9 of 17) when playing with revenge. Anaheim is 0-3 this season in home games with a total set at 6 or more goals. Also, the Ducks have lost 14 of 21 games this season when facing a team with a winning record. Injuries up front have really hurt this Anaheim team and their two game winning streak right before the Christmas break was the first two times this month that Anaheim scored 4 goals or more. The Ducks just don't have the firepower to keep up with Vegas. Prior to the 2-0 mini-run for Anaheim they had lost 7 of their 10 December games. The Golden Knights won their most recent game 3-0 and, before that, had scored 4 goals or more in 6 of their last 9 games. Vegas has won 9 of their 10 divisional games this season and, when they enter a game after playing each of their previous 3 games at home, the Golden Knights have won 6 of 7 games this season. Bet Vegas on the money line in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 10* Chicago Blackhawks Money Line (+) @ Dallas Stars, Thursday at 8:35 PM ET
Beautiful set up here. The Blackhawks have won 5 straight games and are getting excellent goaltending from Cory Crawford. Chicago has allowed only 1.4 goals per game their last 5 games. The Hawks are playing this game with double revenge as the Stars have managed to win each of the first two match-ups. Dallas comes into this game slumping as they have lost 6 of their last 8 games. Unlike the Blackhawks, the Stars goaltending has been struggling at times. This has been particularly true on home ice where Dallas has lost 3 straight by a combined score of 14 to 8. While this is a divisional game that would seem important for both clubs, the fact is that the situation here makes it much more important for Chicago. The Blackhawks are fully focused as they had been dominating the Stars in recent meetings until this season and now want revenge for losing each of the first two match-ups this season. Also, the Hawks have a non-conference match-up on deck. As for the Stars, they have a big game with Nashville on deck. The Predators have been a thorn in the side of Dallas and the Stars are looking forward to that divisional revenge opportunity in their final game before the Christmas break at home on Saturday. As for the Blackhawks, they are fully focused on the "here and now" as they seek revenge tonight. Chicago has won 4 of 5 this season (and 19 of 25 in recent seasons) when they enter a game on a streak of 3 or more consecutive unders. Dallas has lost 10 of 12 this season when off of a non-conference game and they are off of a loss to the Eastern Conference Washington Capitals Tuesday. Bet Chicago on the money line in evening action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Colorado Avalanche Money Line (+) vs Pittsburgh Penguins, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Penguins finally got a win Saturday but that was at Arizona. Colorado may not be a great team but they certainly are vastly superior to the league-worst Coyotes. With that said, Pittsburgh is over-priced here as the Pens had lost 3 straight and 4 of their last 5 prior to the win at Arizona. The Avalanche enter this game off of a loss versus Tampa Bay but the Avs previously had won 3 of 4. Also, Colorado has won 9 of 15 at home this season while the Penguins have lost 11 of 18 road games this season. Pittsburgh has revenge here but they've lost 8 of 13 when playing with revenge this season. Additionally, the Pens have lost 11 of 17 non-conference games this season. The Avalanche have won 5 of their 7 home games this season that have had an O/U set at 6 goals or more. Colorado is truly a dangerous home dog here and this is their last home game until after Christmas so they're going to bring a strong effort here. The Penguins could get caught looking ahead to a tough match-up with a divisional foe, Columbus, on deck. The Avalanche have won their last 2 visits to Pittsburgh but they lost the last time they hosted the defending Stanley Cup champs. We expect the Avs to make up for that here. Bet Colorado on the money line in late night action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) @ Vancouver Canucks, Friday at 10:05 PM ET
Even though this is a back to back spot for San Jose, they are in much better shape than Vancouver. The Canucks have been hurting badly since center Bo Horvat went out with an injury. To make matters worse it is likely that defenseman Chris Tanev is going to miss tonight. He left Wednesday's loss to Nashville after taking a big hit and Vancouver called up another defenseman for tonight's game. The Canucks have lost 4 straight games and those defeats have been blowouts by a combined margin of 15 goals. Although this is the 2nd game of a back to back for the Sharks, they played back-up Aaron Dell last night in Calgary (he is from the area). Now San Jose's #1 goalie, Martin Jones gets his chance in front of family and friends as he is from North Vancouver and he'll be between the pipes for this one. The Sharks have won each of their 6 visits to Vancouver in recent seasons and they are the much healthier team right now. The Canucks lose their 5th straight tonight! Vancouver has lost 12 of 18 this season in games against teams with a winning record. The Sharks have won 11 of 17 this season in games against teams with a losing record. ASA PLAY ON 10* Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line (-) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Penguins are off of back to back losses and are ready to respond in Vegas after two off days since a rare home loss to the Avalanche Monday. This has been an unusual stretch for the back to back Stanley Cup Champion Penguins as they enter off of back to back losses but have lost 3 straight games only one time this season. Of course there is a lot of hype with this match-up as long-time Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury faces his former team for the first time. A lot of pressure on Fleury for this game while the Penguins will have their #1 netminder, Matt Murray, back between the pipes tonight. The Golden Knights have been outshot by a combined 18 shots on goal in their past 3 games while the Penguins have outshot the opposition by 44 shots on goal in their last 4 games. Despite losing 3 of their past 4 games, you can see that the Pens have truly played better than what their record has shown. The result is line value here as Pittsburgh also gets Murray back between the pipes for this one. Vegas has lost 7 of 10 games versus Eastern Conference foes this season. The Penguins are the much better team on the power play in comparing these two teams. Also, the Pens have won 6 of 8 games this season when playing with 2 days of rest between games. The Penguins answer the bell here and avoid what would be a rare 3-game losing streak. Bet Pittsburgh on the money line in late night action Thursday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Carolina Hurricanes Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Hurricanes are 0-2-2 on their road trip and hungry for an upset win in their first trip to Vegas. The Golden Knights have been hot but bringing back goalie Marc Andre-Fleury tonight actually weakens them. He has not played since very early in the season as he has been out with a concussion. While it is certainly a good sign that Fleury is back, it is a tough situation for two reasons. One is that Fleury is sure to be rusty after the long layoff. Another reason is that the Knights have the Penguins on deck for Thursday. Of course Fleury was a long-time Pittsburgh player and can't help but look ahead to that game. In fact, Fleury is likely being pushed into action tonight to have the opportunity to work out the kinks before the big game with the Pens. That said, the Golden Knights are viewing tonight's match-up much different than the Canes are! Vegas has lost 6 of 9 games versus Eastern Conference foes this season. The Hurricanes are on a 4-game losing streak and they have not lost 5 straight games this season. We don't expect that to change tonight either so grab the big dog as Cam Ward gives them the edge between the pipes in this one. Bet Carolina on the money line in late night action Tuesday.

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Columbus Blue Jackets Money Line (+) @ New Jersey Devils, Friday at 7:05 PM ET
The Blue Jackets are in revenge mode here and this is a battle for first place in the Metropolitan Division. After the Devils leap-frogged the Jackets with a win at Columbus earlier this week, the Blue Jackets can return the favor with a win at New Jersey tonight. Columbus comes into this game off of back to back losses and the impressive thing about that is that we're two months into the season already and only once this entire season have the Blue Jackets lost more than two games in a row. Look for Columbus to respond big tonight. The Devils did start hot this season but they were truly over-achieving. New Jersey quickly came back down to reality with losses in 9 of 15 games prior to the upset win at Columbus on Tuesday. That is why there is such good value here in backing the better team in a revenge role and at a small price on the road. The Blue Jackets have won 5 of 7 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season while the Devils, in the last 3 seasons, have lost 12 of 16 home games with a total set at 5.5 goals. In Friday games Columbus has won 23 of 35 while New Jersey has lost 22 of 29. After scoring 4 or more goals the Devils have lost 26 of 41 games. The Blue Jackets have won 5 of 7 this season when they are off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. Bet Columbus on the money line in early evening action Friday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Vancouver Canucks, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Flyers are looking to make it 3 straight wins and are building momentum here. Also, even though goalie Brian Elliott will be playing back to back games, he has been playing very well and is eyeing career win #200 tonight. The Flyers are certainly going to bring their A game here in front of him as they seek revenge for a 5-2 home loss to the Canucks last month. Philadelphia has won 9 of its last 12 visits to Vancouver. The Canucks have a huge divisional game on deck at Calgary Saturday. While Vancouver is in a lookahead spot here the Flyers are fully focused as they have a full 4 days off after tonight's game. To get a 3-0 road trip and then a nice, long break was the plan for Philly heading into this much needed break away from the pressures of home. The Flyers are getting healthier and more confident. After back to back wins, they catch the Canucks off of a shutout win and with that big game against the Flames on deck. Truly perfect timing for another underdog win for the road team here. ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Edmonton Oilers, Wednesday at 9:35 PM ET
The Oilers are giving the start to Laurent Brossoit between the pipes because Cam Talbot is still hurt and they've decided to give him one more shot. However, how many chances does a guy get? He is 1-4 in his 5 starts this season! He also is 0-4 in non-conference games with an ugly .867 save percentage. In his most recent start (and first in conference action) Brossoit allowed 4 third period goals (including a few very soft ones) that nearly resulted in the Oilers losing the game. Now he and Edmonton take on a determined Flyers team that after earning points in only 5 of their last 10 (but 0 wins) finally got back into the win column in Calgary Monday. Look for that to start the Philadelphia turnaround as they've eyed this western Canada road trip as a great shot to get back on track and it already began on the right foot with the 5-2 win over the Flames. Though the Flyers were severely outshot in that game, much of it had to with being up 4-1 by the time the game was only mid-way through the 2nd period. Even though Edmonton has revenge from a loss at Philly earlier this season, the Oilers have lost 10 of 12 this season when playing with revenge. Also, the Oilers 7-5 win Saturday was over the biggest rival (provincial rival Calgary) and Edmonton has gone 0-4 this season when off of a divisional game. Nice set up here to grab the road dog with the edge between the pipes. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in late night action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line @ Calgary Flames, Monday at 9:05 PM ET
The Flyers are mired in a 10-game losing streak (0-5-5) that is their worst stretch in nearly 10 years! Oftentimes the best thing for a team enduring a stretch like this is to go on the road. This is the opener of a 3-game swing in Western Canada and the Flyers are fired up and ready to go after a home shutout versus Boston Saturday was surely their low point. They know that was certainly one game during this tough stretch where they did not play well. Philadelphia is talking very strongly about this road trip to Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver as a chance to right the ship in a big way. That is part of the reason you're seeing an interesting line move here. The majority of the bets for this one have come in on Calgary and yet the price on the Flames is moving lower. What that tells you is where the smart money is and, on Monday night, we're a part of that smart money! The Flyers are starting Brian Elliott in goal and he was with the Flames last season. Philadelphia wants badly to win this game for Elliott and also to end their slide. Philly has earned points in 4 of their past 5 road games but they just haven't been able to get over the hump with a win. Tonight we feel they'll do just that! Calgary is off of a divisional loss to Edmonton and the Flames have lost 39 of 67 (-$12,200) when off of a divisional game. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in late evening action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (+) over Boston Bruins, Wednesday at 7:35 PM ET
The money has come in on Boston for this match-up because they are off of a loss and rested while Tampa Bay is off of a win and playing with no rest here. However, what is being overlooked in this match-up is that the Bolts are fully focused on at least finishing this 4-game road trip with a .500 record and now they can do that by getting another win tonight after they had lost the first two games of this road trip. The Bolts had won 7 of their first 9 road games this season before those two losses and they're hell-bent on building another road winning streak now. The Bruins have lost 50 of 87 (-20.8 net units) when facing a team with a winning record. Boston is also winless in 3 divisional games this season while Tampa Bay has won 5 of their 6 divisional games this season. Also, the Lightning have won 59 of 95 against teams with a losing record. ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Dallas Stars Money Line (-) over Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:05 PM ET
The Stars are playing with revenge here as they lost 2-1 at home against Vegas earlier this season despite peppering the Golden Knights with 46 shots on goal and completely out playing them. Now the Stars finally get their chance at revenge and this is a "Dad Trip" for Dallas as 15 of the players brought their fathers along for this game. Not that this is the only key edge because it most certainly is not but you know damn sure that the Stars are ready to deliver a huge game in front of fathers and other family in attendance for this huge revenge game. While Ben Bishop has certainly not performed between the pipes the way he was expected to, he still rates a huge edge over the Golden Knights goal-tending situation which is in disarray right now. Vegas has been hurt badly by injuries at the goalie position and they have other injury issues with their skaters too as they prepare to definitely face the wrath of the Stars in this game. Dallas is off of a 6-4 home win versus Calgary and the Stars have won 7 of 10 this season when off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more in their prior game. This is the first time this season that the upstart Knights (in their expansion season) will be facing a team that is playing with revenge against them. As strong as Vegas has been this season (very surprising) they are banged up right now and also facing a team many expect to be a Stanley Cup contender as the season goes on and we fully expect the Stars to make an emphatic statement in this game. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) over New York Rangers, Sunday at 2:05 PM ET
The Canucks are off a 3-2 loss at New Jersey Friday even though they played a very strong third period and came very close to the equalizing goal. Vancouver had started off this lengthy road trip by winning each of the first two games by impressive 5-2 margins over the Penguins and Flyers. Also, when the Canucks enter a game having played each of their three prior games on the road, Vancouver has won 4 of 5 (80%) this season! The Rangers have lost 5 of 8 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season. Even though goalie Henrik Lundqvist has been playing very well he is continuing to get peppered with too many shots on goal in most of his starts. That eventually catches up with a netminder and the Canucks are hungry here! The road team won both meetings last season and we look for Vancouver to resume their winning run here while the Rangers inadvertently overlook this Western Conference foe centered between two Eastern Conference clubs. Dallas has lost 5 of the last 7 starts that goalie Ben Bishop has made. The Stars won at Calgary last month and the Flames are looking to return the favor here. Strong odds for that considering the road team has taken 3 of the last 4 meetings. The Flames have won 2 of their last 3 visits to Dallas. Calgary has won 29 of 48 games when off of a game where they were held to 1 goal or less. That includes 3 of 4 in that situation for the Flames this season. Grab the value with the road dog here! ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (+) over Nashville Predators, Monday at 8:05 PM ET
The Jets have won 8 of their last 10 games but they are a dog here because, of course, Nashville is a quality hockey club. The key to the value here is that the Predators have won only 3 of their last 5 home games so it is not like they've been dominating on home ice. Also, even though the Preds have been winning of late, they have been giving up a lot of goals. Nashville, even though #1 goalie Pekka Rinne has been getting the starts, has allowed 15 goals in their last 4 games. In stark contrast to those numbers, the Jets have allowed just 2 goals or less in 10 of their last 12 games. There really is no comparison in terms of how these two teams have been playing in their own end. The result is great underdog line value here that we won't pass up! Winnipeg is a perfect 4-0 in divisional action this season and they get revenge for a loss at Nashville in their most recent visit here. Bet Winnipeg on the money line in evening action Monday.

The Sharks have certainly been hot but this is the perfect spot to fade them and with their money line moving even higher there there is tremendous line value in grabbing the Panthers in this one. San Jose is off of back to back divisional wins including a come-from-behind win over the rival Los Angeles Kings. Now the Sharks take on a non-conference foe and the Panthers are known for giving San Jose a lot of trouble. The Sharks have lost 8 of their last 12 meetings with Florida including 5 of the last 6 here in San Jose! Also, the Panthers Roberto Luongo certainly seems full recovered from the hand injury he suffered earlier this season as Florida's #1 goalie has allowed an average of just 2 goals in his last 3 starts. The Panthers are more likely to be the motivated team here as they have lost 3 of their last 4 road games. Adding to the superb underdog line value here is the fact that Florida's head coach Bob Boughner was an assistant under San Jose's Peter DeBoer. You'd better believe Boughner and the underdog Panthers are "up" for this game and certainly he knows a ton about the inner workings of the Sharks and that will also play to the advantage of the big road dog in this one. ASA 9* PLAY ON New Jersey Devils money line (+) over Chicago Blackhawks, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
Both teams are off of wins yesterday but they came in much different ways. The Devils were up 2-0 and never trailed in a 2-1 win. The Blackhawks had to rally from a 2-goal deficit and then won in overtime. While Chicago expended a lot of energy in the comeback win, New Jersey was in 'game management' mode in yesterday's win versus Florida. Even though the Devils have cooled off since their hot start, they are viewing this road trip as a trip to get right back on track and the Blackhawks certainly haven't been impressive of late. Chicago, since winning their 1st two games of the season, has only won back to back games one single time the past 5 weeks! New Jersey, has already had three 3-game winning streaks this season and has never had a standalone win. In other words, yesterday's victory certainly could be the start of their next big streak. Also, considering New Jersey has certainly been the superior team (in comparison with the Blackhawks early this season), Chicago is significantly over-priced here! We're grabbing the under-valued big dog that has plenty of motivation here. The Blackhawks won both meetings last season so the Devils are seeking some payback here. Chicago has lost 3 of 4 this season when playing the 2nd game of a back to back while New Jersey has won 2 of 3 when playing the 2nd game of a back to back this season. ASA PLAY ON 9* Columbus Blue Jackets money line (-) at New York Rangers, Monday at 7:05 PM ET
Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella was the head coach for a number of seasons with the Rangers and certainly had a special relationship with the media circus that is New York. The fact is that games against the Rangers always carry special meaning for him as a result and he'll have the Blue Jackets ready to go for this one. The Jackets already defeated the Rangers in Columbus last month and the Blue Jackets also have won each of the last two meetings in New York. Those two wins both came by multiple goal margins and the Jackets are off of a shootout loss at Tampa Bay so they're bringing a big effort here. The Rangers are on a 3-game winning streak but 2 of the wins came after regulation and the other victory was against a Vegas team that is dealing with a ton of injuries at the netminder position. The Rangers have lost all 4 divisional games this season. The Blue Jackets have won all 3 of their divisional games and they also have won all 4 of their games when off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. Additionally, Columbus is 5-0 against teams with a losing record. That means the angles here favor the Blue Jackets at a combined 16-0, 100%! The Islanders are hot and have won 5 of their last 6. The Capitals are off of a loss which was their 7th in their last 10 games. Interestingly, every time the Caps have lost a game this season they've followed it up with another loss. Washington simply has not fared well at all in bounce back mode and we expect tonight will mark the 4th time already this season that the Capitals have a 2-game losing streak. Complicating the situation for the Caps here is the fact that they're coming back from a West Coast road trip. Even when a team gets a few days off to adjust, that first game back for an East Coast team after a West Coast trip always seems extra tough and, tonight, the Capitals face a red hot Isles team that has won 3 of the last 4 meetings. Incredibly, the Islanders are averaging scoring 5 goals per game in their last 6 games! The Capitals, on the other hand, have been held to 2 or less goals in 5 of their last 7 games! Washington tonight is truly what one can refer to as a "false favorite" and that's why we're happy to grab the underdog price with the "hot team" here! The Caps have lost 11 of 18 games when playing a game after 3 or more days of rest. We expect the Islanders to improve to 3-0 this season when playing with 2 days of rest between games. The Canucks have won 4 straight games and Vancouver has given up only 1.25 goals per game in these 4 games. The Canucks offensive production has impressed as they have scored at least 3 goals in 5 of their last 6 games. The Stars are coming off of a 2-1 win at Calgary Friday but that was with Kari Lehtonen between the pipes. Ben Bishop will be back between the pipes and he has allowed 15 goals in his last 4 starts. Considering that plus the fact that Vancouver has been getting stellar goaltending and has been red hot, and you have fantastic line value here with the Canucks as a home dog. Dallas has lost 42 of 69 (-16.2 net units) when they are on the road and the game has a total set at 5.5 goals. ASA PLAY ON 9* Winnipeg Jets Money Line (-) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
After a rough start to the season in which the Jets lost 7-2 to Toronto and 6-3 to Calgary, Winnipeg has only lost once in regulation in their last seven games (4-1-2). A big key for the Jets has been that they've allowed only 17 goals in these 7 games. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck is likely to get the start here and Winnipeg is 4-0-1 in his 5 starts this season. The Penguins are likely to turn to rookie Casey DeSmith here as #1 goalie Matt Murray was between the pipes last night and Pittsburgh ended up waiving Antti Niemi due to how ineffective he was. The Jets should definitely hold the edge in goal tonight in addition to having the home ice edge and also a revenge angle in play here. Winnipeg lost a tight one in overtime at Pittsburgh last week. Payback time here. The Penguins have lost 21 of 35 when playing the 2nd game of a back to back and that includes all 3 occurrences this season. Bet Winnipeg on the money line in early evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Colorado Avalanche Money Line (+) over Chicago Blackhawks, Saturday at 9:05 PM ET
The Avalanche got thoroughly embarrassed in a 7-0 road loss to the Golden Knights yesterday. The Blackhawks are also off of a loss yesterday. However, Chicago's loss was actually a tougher one to come back from. The Hawks lost 2-1 at home against the Predators and Nashville was the team that eliminated the Blackhawks from the post-season in April. Chicago has lost 3 of their 4 divisional games this season. Colorado has won 2 of their 3 games (and picked up 1.8 net units) in their games this season that have followed a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. Teams respond off of games like that and this isn't just "any old" bounce back situation either. The Avalanche lost SEVEN to ZERO yesterday! The Avs will be fired up and ready to respond on home ice and they have won 3 of their 4 home games this season. Overall, the Avalanche have outscored their opponents by a combined 17 to 11 this season when they are the host. Bet Colorado on the money line in late night action Saturday.

ASA 9* PLAY ON Calgary Flames Money Line (+) over St Louis Blues, Wednesday at 8:05 PM ET
Home ice is always a factor in the line of course but sometimes it gives excellent value to the road dog. That is the case here because last season the road team won all 3 meetings including the Flames winning both games in St Louis by a combined score of 7-3. Calgary enters this game off of a road win at Nashville last night. It was the Flames 4th straight road victory and we love to ride streaks in money line sports like the NHL and MLB. Eddie Lack is an under-rated solid back-up netminder for Calgary and he has got excellent defense in front of him. The Flames also rank higher than the Blues both on the power play and on the penalty kill. Special teams edge to the road team here over St Louis. ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) over Detroit Red Wings, Sunday at 7:05 PM ET
While both of these teams are off of tough seasons, the Canucks aren't the team that is a -150 favorite here either. The fact is that fading over-priced favorites (when they are bad teams) can be very profitable in the NHL and this looks like another one of those "prime" spots. The Red Wings missed the playoffs for the first time in more than two decades last season and, after a hot start this season, reality has set in as this is not the team it once was. Detroit has lost 3 straight games and now they host a Canucks team that is filled with confidence as they've won 2 of their last 3 games on the road. The Canucks have given up 2 goals or less in 2 of their last 3 games while the Red Wings have given up 10 goals in their last 2 games! We look for Detroit to lose for the 15th time in their last 23 Sunday games. The Red Wings have a shot differential of -18 this season while the Canucks are at only -4 on the young season. Detroit has outshot their opponent only twice in 8 games while the Canucks have outshot their opponent in 3 of their last 5 games including a positive 19 differential at Buffalo Friday. The Canucks are "feeling it" right now! Bet Vancouver on the money line in evening action Sunday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* New York Islanders Money Line (+) over Los Angeles Kings, Sunday at 10:35 PM ET
With their win at San Jose last night, the Islanders success in non-conference action continues. New York has now won 35 of 59 (+10.1 net units) against Western Conference teams. Yesterday's 3-1 win also marked the Islanders 3rd straight under. When New York is on an under streak of 3 games or more, they've won 14 of 21 (67%). We like the value the Islanders are offering here on the road as the Kings are also off of a win last night but have lost 12 of 18 (-8.6 net units) Sunday games. Also, when off of a non-conference game, Los Angeles has lost 37 of 65 (-22.5 net units). The Kings have earned at least a point in each of their first 4 games this season but that is the first time that is happened in over 20 years! Look for the surprising start for Los Angeles to come to an end tonight as the odds makers priced this money line quite low on the Kings with good reason. The Islanders are ready for another road win before heading back east! Bet the New York Islanders on the money line in late night action Sunday.

ASA NHL PLAY ON 9* Chicago Blackhawks Money Line (-) over Nashville Predators @ 8:35 PM ET: The Blackhawks were swept out of the playoffs by Nashville in April. It was an embarrassing 4-game sequence for Chicago and they've been waiting a long time for this opportunity at payback! They'll make the most of it as they are off of a loss to Minnesota where they were clearly looking ahead to this game. The Blackhawks take advantage of catching the Predators off of a big home win versus Dallas. Chicago has won 27 of 40 homes games with a total set at 5.5 goals. Nashville has lost 26 of 42 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals. Also, when the Predators are off of a game where they scored 4 or more goals, they have lost 36 of 63 (-20.3 net units). ASA PLAY ON 9* Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (-) over Detroit Red Wings, Friday at 10:35 PM ET
The breaks keep coming for Vegas. Not only are they 3-0 on the season but they now catch Detroit in a tough back to back spot. The Red Wings were at Arizona last night and they pulled away late for a 4-2 win and that makes Jimmy Howard now 3-0 between the pipes. However, Petr Mrazek now likely to get the start in this back to back spot and the Red Wings lone loss this season came with him in the crease. Also, the back to back makes it a tough spot for the entire team especially after the big late win last night. The Red Wings have lost 20 of 34 when playing the 2nd game of a back to back. Also, Detroit has lost 14 of 23 games when they enter a game having played each of their three prior games on the road. Marc-Andre Fleury has been fantastic early this season for the Golden Knights and you just know that he and Vegas are fired up about hosting an Original Six team here in Sin City! The Golden Knights offer good value here as their 3-0 start is not a fluke. They are playing solid hockey and getting great goal-tending and they are catching the Red Wings in a tough scheduling spot. Advantage home team! ASA PLAY ON 9* Vancouver Canucks Money Line (+) over Winnipeg Jets, Thursday at 10:05 PM ET
The Jets are off of a big upset win (5-2) at Edmonton and that certainly could leave them flat here while the Canucks certainly know all about that. Vancouver won their home opener versus Edmonton and then lost their next game (versus Ottawa) Tuesday. Now the Canucks get a shot to redeem themselves and, in doing so, also avenge having lost each of their last 2 games to the Jets and, overall, 5 of their last 6 versus Winnipeg. Payback is on order here and the Jets have lost 59 of 101 (-16.4 net units) when off of a victory by a margin of 2 or more goals. The fact that the big margin for the Jets also related to an upset win makes this situation an even stronger "play against" situation going against Winnipeg. Vancouver was outshot 42-28 in their loss to the Senators Tuesday and they'll come out fired up at home as they look to make up for that poor effort on home ice! ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Boston Bruins Money Line (-) over Colorado Avalanche, Wednesday at 9:35 PM ET
The Bruins got thoroughly embarrassed in a 4-0 home loss to the Avalanche on Monday. Colorado was the worst team in the NHL last season and there certainly has not been a "miracle turnaround" for the Avs. The fact is that anything can happen in any game and sometimes upsets happen. However, when an upset happens and then the better team gets the shot at immediate revenge in their very next game, look out! Boston is going to be flying all over the ice tonight to get their payback and the fact that Patrice Bergeron is out for this game has actually added some line value here. Certainly he is one of the Bruins top players but they've got plenty of other talent ready to step up for this revenge game. Also, the line has been held lower than it should be because of Bergeron's absence. The series between these clubs has been dominated by the road team as the roadie won each game two years ago and then again last season the road team took both and now this season started with the Avs taking the first match-up in Boston. The Bruins get their payback here in Colorado. The road team has won the last 3 games by a combined score of 10-2 but the Bruins have held a big edge in shots on goal in recent meetings with a combined 106 to 65 edge in shots on goal in the last 3 match-ups! We expect more dominance for Boston in this one. The Bruins have won 25 of 40 road games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Avalanche have lost 22 of 30 games when they are off of a game where they scored 4 or more goals. The Avalanche allowed 5 power play goals in their first two games and the Bruins are likely to be skating circles around Colorado tonight and drawing penalties and they'll get some power play action rolling! Bet Boston on the money line in evening action Wednesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Arizona Coyotes Money Line (-) over Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday at 10:30 PM ET
This will be a huge event in Vegas with it being the home opener of the NHL's newest franchise. Arizona would love nothing more than to spoil that home opener just like the Golden Knights ruined the Coyotes home opener last week. It is payback time here and, even though Vegas is 2-0 on the season, they are 0 for 11 on the power play and were severely outplayed by Dallas in their come-from-behind win over the Stars last week. Arizona is off to a slow start this season but both defeats have been tight losses and their motivation is high after the Golden Knights got the best of the Coyotes last week. It was not the way that Arizona wanted to start a new season and, they truly had been playing better since the mid-way point of last season. Since mid-January of last season, the Coyotes have only lost 3 or more consecutive games 2 times. In other words, odds heavily favor Arizona "stopping the bleeding" in this one. ASA PLAY ON 9* Chicago Blackhawks Money Line (+) over Montreal Canadiens, Tuesday at 7:35 PM ET
The Blackhawks blew a 3-1 lead last night at Toronto and then lost to the Maple Leafs in overtime. Chicago had won their first two games by a combined score of 15-2 and they are certainly not happy about letting one slip away last night. Tonight they'll have Corey Crawford between pipes as their #1 goalie had been "saved" for this game. Look for it to pay off with big dividends for the Hawks here. Even though Chicago is in a back to back they have gone 17-10 their last 27 back to back situations. Also, the Blackhawks are 55-29 against teams with a losing record. Montreal is 1-2 on the season and certainly has struggled right out of the gate this season. They barely got by Buffalo to open up the season but the Canadiens have since scored only 1 goal in their past 2 games. The Blackhawks are averaging 6 goals per game while Montreal is at 1.33 goals per game so far this season. The Hawks had looked great until the way the 3rd period played out last night at the Air Canada Centre. Look for a big response here and there is great underdog line value with the Blackhawks in this one. Bet Chicago on the money line in early evening action Tuesday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
Certainly the Ducks are known for their long-term dominance against the Flames but the time has come for that to end. Anaheim swept Calgary out of the playoffs last season and the Ducks have given the Flames all sorts of problems in recent seasons. The key to this play Monday night is not only the motivation the Flames have, it is the fact that Calgary is the much healthier team. Anaheim is very banged up right now and it includes key players like Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Of course the Ducks were already without Ryan Kesler too. Calgary has outshot the Ducks in each of the last 3 games. Combined margin of 25 shots on goal in the 3 games. They don't have anything to show for it yet but that is likely to change tonight. Anaheim is not only filled with "wounded Ducks" right now, the Flames have a very strong defense and are likely to keep the Ducks from getting very good scoring chances. Calgary hung right with Edmonton for much of their season opener (don't let the 3-0 final score fool you) and then the Flames absolutely blasted the Jets in a 6-3 win in their home opener. The Flames are ready to go again here and get their revenge! Bet Calgary on the money line in late night west coast action Monday.

ASA PLAY ON 9* Florida Panthers Money Line (+) over Tampa Bay Lightning, Friday at 7:35 PM ET
So far this season the home teams have won just half the games. 6 wins and 6 losses for the host early this season. Right out of the gate is a tricky time for teams and that's why fading the bigger favorites can actually prove quite fruitful. We feel this game Friday will prove to be another such instance as the Panthers take advantage of a Lightning team starting the season without Ben Bishop. Florida has won 2 of the last 3 meetings and the new #1 goalie, Andrei Vasilevskiy was in goal for 2 of those games for Tampa Bay. Even though Steven Stamkos is back the Lightning did lose their #3 scorer Jonathan Drouin, traded away just like Bishop. Look for new Florida head coach, former Sharks assistant Bob Boughner to give the Panthers a big boost right out of the gate. When Boughner was an assistant with the Sharks the past two seasons San Jose went 3-1 against the Lighting and outscored them by a count of 12-8. Look for Boughner's team to again hold the upper hand here and the value is significant with this big dog price. The Panthers earned at least a point in 24 of their 41 road games last season and they're going to be tough on Tampa Bay in this divisional battle to open up the season. 8* PLAY ON Los Angeles Kings Money Line (-) vs Philadelphia Flyers @ 10:05 pm - We successfully used the Flyers in their upset win at San Jose last night. However, that makes this a tough back to back spot for Philly and now we'll go against them. Adding to the value here is the fact that the Flyers did upset the Kings last year in their home opener. Los Angeles hasn't forgotten that and they certainly don't want to see a repeat. Jonathan Quick is back for the Kings and he went 7-3 at home last season and 3-1 in non-conference games. The Flyers are likely to turn to Michal Neuvirth here and he was just 4-8 in his road starts last season. Home ice for LA, revenge from last season's home opener for Los Angeles, and a tough scheduling spot for Philadelphia all add up to what should be a solid home win for the Kings. The money line is a moderate price but certainly a value line given this situation. Lay it on the money line with LOS ANGELES

ASA PLAY ON 9* Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (+) over San Jose Sharks, Wednesday at 10:30 PM ET
Certainly the Sharks are the better team. Certainly San Jose has home ice advantage. However, why is this line only priced in the -150 range? That's because early season games are very "tricky" and there is reason to believe the Flyers get the upset win here and the odds makers (and sharp money) are in tune with this. For starters, Philadelphia also started last season on the west coast and they began their season with a huge win in their season opener at Los Angeles over the Kings. Being on the West Coast to start the year again this season will have a certain "comfort" for the Flyers and they did earn points in each of their first two games out west to open up last season. The Flyers Shayne Gostisbehere had been an injury concern for tonight but he is now listed as probable. All of Philadelphia's key personnel are healthy for tonight's game and they are facing a Sharks goalie, Martin Jones, who only went 20-16 at home last season. The Flyers have a new goalie, Brian Elliott, who has won 4 of his last 6 starts against San Jose and the former Blues netminder allowed an average of only 2 goals per game in those 6 starts. Just like last season, we expect the Flyers to start their season with a big upset on the road in their season opener. Bet Philadelphia on the money line in late night west coast action Wednesday

ASA PLAY ON 9* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Thursday @ 8 PM ET
Very few people will want the Senators here but the result is simply even more line value with this "live dog" than what we should even be getting! The money line has crept higher here on gameday and we're pulling the trigger on the big dog with the added value. The Senators advance past Boston in the first round by winning game 6 on the road. The Sens then advanced past the Rangers in the second round by winning game 6 on the road. Now Ottawa can advance to the Stanley Cup Finals by getting past the defending Stanley Cup Champion Penguins by winning game 7 on the road. Even though the Senators were outshot in Game 6 at home they also were outshot in those Game 6 wins at Boston and New York in the first two rounds of the playoffs. The point is that it certainly doesn't always come down to shots on goal in terms of who advances and who doesn't. That said, all the pressure is actually on Pittsburgh here as Ottawa wasn't even expected to make it this far! The Penguins, as the defending champs, are battling Ottawa in addition to the stigma that they are 3-7 at home all-time in Game 7's. As you can see, home ice doesn't always mean so much in situations like these. Another factor against the Pens is the simple fact that it is so difficult to "put it all together" in the season immediately following winning the Cup. No team has repeated since nearly 20 years ago when the Red Wings did it in the late 90's. Also, in the past 15 years, only 1 Stanley Cup Champion has even made it back to the Stanley Cup Finals. Is the hunger of the Senators enough to carry them to the upset win here? Many will doubt that but this team has been doubted throughout the post-season and yet look where they are now! We're grabbing the big dog in this one! Bet the Ottawa Senators on the money line Thursday in Game 7 Eastern Conference Finals NHL playoff action!

ASA TOP PLAY ON 10* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Tuesday @ 8 PM ET
In the 2017 post-season, there have been 5 games won by a margin of 4 goals or more. So far the team that has been blown out has bounced back with a win in the next game all 4 times. We look for that streak to reach 5-0 here as the Senators respond after getting thoroughly embarrassed at Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon. It certainly helps here that the Senators are on home ice for this one as they look to avoid elimination. The Sens did lose Game 4 in Ottawa but the Senators entered that game on an 8-2 run on home ice. While the Penguins had an ultra impressive performance in Game 5, their success was certainly helped by a 3 for 3 performance on the power play and truly it was just one of those games where everything broke in favor of one team. Prior to that huge win, the Penguins had averaged only 1.9 goals per game in their last 9 post-season games! The Senators have exploded for 4.5 goals per game in their last 4 games on home ice and every time the Sens have been counted out in this post-season they have responded. Look for that resiliency to come to the forefront once again and we expect the home dog to force a Game 7 with their best effort of the entire season right here, right now. Even though the Ducks are back home for this critical Game 5 match-up, the Predators have performed very well off of a loss for the past 7 weeks as they've been in playoff mode since before the post-season even started! Anaheim is only 3-3 in their last 6 home games in the post-season and the Predators have won 4 of their last 6 playoff games played at Anaheim. Though the Predators have some injury concerns heading into this one the Ducks have some of their own as well. This line and the line movement is being skewed too far toward the Ducks and we look for the long-term road dominance in playoff series' between these clubs to continue Saturday. The Penguins are making the move to goalie Matt Murray after getting throttled in Game 3 Wednesday in a 5-1 loss. Marc-Andre Fleury is only 8-15 in road starts this season while Murray has gone 16-9 and we expect the rejuvenated (and proud) Penguins to come up big on Friday as they deliver a huge effort and tie this series up. Murray is the better goal-tender of the two but Fleury had the hot hand so the Pens rode him as long as they could. Look for Murray to come in and come up here here. By the way, the Penguins are a fantastic 12-4 this season when they are off of a loss by a margin of 3 goals or more. There is no doubt the defending Stanley Cup champs are going to be ready to respond here. The Senators are 3-6 this season when they are off of a win by a margin of 3 goals or more. The Senators are finally back on home ice (just the 2nd time this month) and they have won 3 straight games on home ice where they have also scored at least 5 goals in each of their last two games. With the Penguins very banged up on the blue line, the Sens high-scoring ways at home are likely to continue. We look for Ottawa to make it 4 in a row at home as the home fans help rally the Senators to a response after Monday's tough, tight shutout loss. Surprisingly, the Penguins are averaging just 1.9 goals per game in their last 6 games. They've been struggling to score goals and now are on the road and facing a fired up Sens team that has been scoring well and playing with a lot of confidence when on home ice. This is a tough spot for the Pens and they truly are only favored here because of public perception and the fact that they are the defending Stanley Cup champs. This situation truly favors the home team and we'll grab the underdog that is playing with confidence on their home ice and that is definitely the healthier hockey club right now. ASA PLAY ON 9* Nashville Predators Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Sunday @ 7:30 PM ET
As mentioned in our write-up on the Preds in their Friday night win at Anaheim, the Predators are the 16th seeded team out of the 16 that made the post-season and that means Nashville has faced the toughest road to get to this point! With their Friday win, the the Predators have won 9 of their 11 games in the playoffs. The Preds also have the fresher legs as they had some time off after dispatching of the Blues while Anaheim is still trying to heal up after their all-out war in their 7-game series with the Oilers. Anaheim still may not have enough left in the tank to get past Nashville here in Game 2. They were truly outplayed in Game 1 and were lucky the game even got to OT! The fact is that the Predators have allowed only 1.4 goals per game in their 11 post-season games so the Ducks will have to stop the Preds potent offense if they want to have a chance in Game 2. That is easier said then done as Anaheim has allowed at least 3 goals in 5 of their last 8 games. Dating back to when these teams met in the playoffs last April in the first round, the road team has now won 6 of the last 8 post-season games when they are matched up. We expect that trend to continue tonight. Bet the Nashville Predators on the money line Sunday in Game 2 Western Conference Finals NHL playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Nashville Predators Money Line (-) over Anaheim Ducks, Friday @ 9:00 PM ET
As the 16th seeded team out of the 16 that made the post-season, Nashville has faced the toughest road to get to this point and yet the Predators have won 8 of their 10 games in the playoffs. The Preds also have the fresher legs as they have been off since Sunday while it was only the night before last when the Ducks were in action. Anaheim had an all-out war on their hands in their 7-game series with the Oilers. Anaheim may not have enough left in the tank to get past Nashville here in Game 1. The Predators have allowed only 1.4 goals per game in their 10 post-season games so the Ducks will have to stop the Preds potent offense if they want to have a chance in Game 1. That is easier said then done as Anaheim allowed at least 3 goals in 5 of their last 6 games prior to a 2-1 win over Edmonton Wednesday. These teams met in the playoffs last April in the first round and the road team won 5 of the 7 games. We expect that trend to continue tonight. Bet the Nashville Predators on the money line Friday in Game 1 Western Conference Finals NHL playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Edmonton Oilers Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Wednesday @ 10:00 PM ET
The Oilers destroyed the Ducks in Game 6 in Edmonton 7-1 and that is the type of blowout win that gives a young team confidence. Why else should Edmonton have confidence facing a tough Game 7 on the road? The Oilers already won 2 of the 3 games played in Anaheim in this series. Many will look to the Ducks here to bounce back and take advantage of home ice but the road team has taken 4 of the 6 meetings in this series and this is not a new trend in Round 2 action as there have been many road wins. We don't see that stopping here. The Ducks were expected to bounce back on home ice in Game 2 after dropping Game 1 in this series but that one ended in a loss and the Oilers are filled with confidence after Sunday's huge win forced this Game 7. Edmonton is 21-8 this season when they won their prior game by a margin of 2 goals or more. That is in effect here and we are not surprised to see this line as low as it is. To encourage some Anaheim money, the odds makers had to set this low because the sharps will be lining up on the road dog here. Bet the Edmonton Oilers on the money line Wednesday in Round 2 Game 7 NHL playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* New York Rangers Money Line (-) over Ottawa Senators, Thursday @ 7:35 PM ET
After a tight 2-1 win in Game 1 of this series the Senators then rallied to tie the Rangers late in Game 2 and went on to win that one in double overtime. That said, the fact the Sens are up 2-1 in this series isn't truly indicative of the way the series has played out. New York flexed their muscles a bit in Game 3 as they trounced Ottawa 4-1 and we expect that Rangers domination to carry over into Game 4 as well. With this line dropping from the -175 range to the -150 range it made it even easier for us to pull the trigger here. The Rangers have outshot the Senators 78 to 61 the past two games. With their Game 3 win the Rangers are 8-4 their last 12 when trailing in a playoff series. We're grabbing the better team at a great price considering they also have the home ice edge tonight. Lay it! Bet the New York Rangers on the money line Thursday in Round 2 Game 4 NHL playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Washington Capitals Money Line (-) over Pittsburgh Penguins, Saturday @ 8:05 PM ET
The Capitals rallied from a 2-0 deficit in game one Thursday only to fall short when the Penguins got the deciding goal about midway through the third period. Washington outshot Pittsburgh 35 to 21 and the fact they carried play for much of the game and yet still fell short has us backing the Capitals here are at a very fair price. The opening money line in Game 2 didn't move much from where the Game 1 line was and there is certainly home ice value when these clubs meet. Prior to Thursday's Penguins win, the home team had won 8 straight meetings between these clubs. Considering that as well as the fact that the Capitals are 30-16 when playing with home loss revenge, you have a nice set-up here that includes plenty of line value even in this price range. Washington is 10-3 in home games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season while the Penguins have a losing record this season in road games when the total is set at 5.5 goals. In fact, with those parameters in recent seasons Pittsburgh is 29-39. Look for home team dominance in this series to resume as we just do not see Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals going into an 0-2 hole with both losses on home ice to start this series. Not going to happen! The Caps even up the series here. Bet the Washington Capitals on the money line Saturday in Round 2 Game 2 NHL playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) over Edmonton Oilers, Saturday @ 10:05 PM ET
Since Game 1 when San Jose rallied to dominate Edmonton on the road, the home team has now won the shots on goal battle in every single game. The average margin is 12 more shots per game for the home team in the last 4 games. We expect that trend to continue here and we expect the Sharks to rally at home and force a Game 7 in Edmonton. As we've said before in referencing this series, the Oilers are a very talented but also very young team and getting that 4th win is always the toughest of the 4 victories. The Sharks are 3-0 the last 3 times they've been off of a loss where they allowed 4 or more goals. Edmonton is 18-29 in road games with a total set at 5 goals or less in recent seasons. The Sharks are 23-12 this season in home games with a total set at 5 goals or less. San Jose won Game 4 here in dominating fashion and while we don't expect another 7-0 win we certainly feel there is value in this price range with a veteran team in a series where the home teams have dominated shots on goal overall the last 4 games. Bet the San Jose Sharks on the money line Saturday in late night West Coast action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Nashville Predators Money Line (-) over Chicago Blackhawks, Thursday at 8:05 PM ET
A line that opened in the -140 range is now around a -110 price even though the Predators have dominated the Blackhawks in the series. We feel the devastating loss the Blackhawks suffered in Game 3, blowing a big lead, is the final straw for Chicago. Even though many view that as a bad beat and that the Blackhawks will bounce back here, the fact is that Chicago was outshot by 13 shots on goal in that game and now have to try to respond after a devastating result. Nashville knows they are best served by taking advantage of home ice and putting away the Blackhawks tonight while they have a shot on home ice and can avoid a trip back to Chicago. With that said, the Predators will bring another strong effort just like the strong effort they responded with when they came back to beat the Blackhawks in Game 3. The Predators are 24-15 against teams with a winning record this season while Chicago enters this game still winless in April with an 0-7 mark on the month! We're happy to take advantage of the value offered by this line move and to fade a stumbling team that is on the road and has lost 7 straight games! Bet the NASHVILLE PREDATORS on the money line in what should be a home rout Thursday evening in NHL first round playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line (-) over Anaheim Ducks, Monday at 10:05 PM ET
The Ducks are off to a 2-0 edge in this series but both games were close and Anaheim is dealing with injuries impacting their defense corps. The home team has won 7 of the last 9 meetings between these clubs and the Ducks will be facing a Calgary team desperate to get back into the series tonight! Look for the Flames to play with a very intense level of emotion at home and they have gone 12-6 this season and 31-16 the past few seasons in home games where the total is set at 5 goals. With a tight low-scoring game here, give the edge to the home team as the Ducks are 12-17 this season in road games with the total set at 5 goals. The blue liners dealing with injuries for the Ducks will impact this game and Calgary is 25-16 when playing with revenge this season. Solid line value with the Flames priced as a small favorite even though home ice has meant a lot to them as you can see from the numbers above. That is also evident in looking at the goalies as Brian Elliott of the Flames is 15-7 at home this season while John Gibson of the Ducks is 8-15 on the road this season. Bet the CALGARY FLAMES on the money line in what should be a home rout Monday night in NHL first round game three playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* San Jose Sharks Money Line (-) over Edmonton Oilers, Sunday at 10:05 PM ET
Looks like we could have a "see-saw" series building up here. The Sharks outshot the Oilers 44-19 in Game One and got the W. Edmonton then outshot San Jose 36-16 in Game Two and got a shutout win. Now look for San Jose to respond on home ice. The Sharks certainly have an edge (in comparison with the Oilers) in terms of playoff experience. Also, the Sharks went 11-4 this season when they were off of a loss by a differential of 2 or more goals. In home games with a total set at 5 goals or less, San Jose is 22-11 this season. In road games with a total set at 5 goals or less, Edmonton has gone 17-28 their last 45 games. The Sharks have won 8 of their last 12 home games and the Oilers will be playing their first playoff road game in 11 seasons! Huge edge for a highly motivated hungry home team in this one. We look for a Sharks response here and there is great line value being offered in this one as they are priced as a rather small home fave. Bet the SAN JOSE SHARKS on the money line in what should be a home rout Sunday night in NHL first round game three playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Ottawa Senators Money Line (+) over Boston Bruins, Saturday at 3:05 PM ET
It's hard to start a series 2-0 with both wins coming on the road. That is why the only team that has done it so far in the 8 series that are going is the St Louis Blues and that is despite being outshot 76 to 48 so far in that series. Similar to how the Oilers bounced back last night against San Jose to even up their series with the Sharks after blowing a 2-0 lead in Game 1, we expect the Senators to bounce back here after blowing a 1-0 home ice lead in Game 1 and losing to the Bruins. Boston had lost 6 straight games to the Sens before that win Wednesday and Ottawa has won 20 of 34 games against teams with a winning record this season while the Bruins have lost 20 of 35. What we're saying is that the Senators have stepped up in the tougher situations this season (against winning opposition) and with Ottawa needing to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole on home ice Ottawa should once again 'answer the call' in a big game! The Senators, prior to the home loss to the Bruins, had won 3 straight on home ice and that included wins over strong playoff teams Pittsburgh and the Rangers. We look for a Sens response here and there is great line value being offered in this one as they are priced as a home dog. Bet the OTTAWA SENATORS on the money line in what should be a home rout Saturday afternoon in NHL first round game two playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* St Louis Blues Money Line (+) over Minnesota Wild, Wednesday at 9:35 PM ET
This is tremendous line value that is being offered to St Louis in Game One of this series. Of course the Wild have the home ice edge but one must consider the level of play these two teams displayed late in the season. Some will point to the fact that Minnesota won their final four games of the season so everything is "okay" now with the Wild. However, those four victories came against four non-playoff times including two of the worst teams in the league. With that said, the concern for the Wild is that, prior to the 4-game streak against weaker foes, they had lost 12 of their last 15 games! Minnesota now faces a St Louis team looking to make up for how last year's post-season ended up and the Blues have been one of the hottest teams in the league since the coaching change from Ken Hitchcock to Mike Yeo took place. St Louis has won 15 of their last 19 games and, with all due respect to Bruce Boudreau and the Wild, are being undervalued here. The reason Boudreau is no longer with the Ducks in Anaheim is because of post-season failures so it's not like he gives the Wild an "automatic edge" here. The fact is the Blues could steal this game on the road in Game One and the line value makes it well worth the investment. St Louis has been the hotter team and Minnesota has lost 9 of its last 14 games against winning teams. Bet the ST LOUIS BLUES on the money line in what should be an upset Wednesday night in NHL first round playoff action!

ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line (+) over San Jose Sharks, Saturday at 10:05 PM ET
The Sharks have only won 2 of their last 7 home games with the Flames and are truly over-valued here. San Jose controlled their own destiny in terms of better playoff positioning but then gave it away in a 4-2 home loss to Edmonton. That "let the air" out of the room in terms of the Sharks current psyche and now a San Jose team that has lost 9 of its last 12 games has to try and regroup against a Flames team that is also fighting for playoff position but that has been doing a much better job of it. Calgary has won 21 of its last 30 games and they are being severely undervalued here by the betting markets. The Flames win for the 6th time in their last 9 meetings with the Sharks. Two teams that have been heading in opposite directions and it is Calgary that has the confidence in this match-up and has scored an average of 3.4 goals per game in their last 8 meetings with San Jose. ASA PLAY ON 9* Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (+) over Toronto Maple Leafs, Thursday at 7:35 PM ET
The road team has won each of the last 3 meetings between these teams. The Bolts have revenge from a 5-0 home loss to the Maple Leafs three weeks ago. The Lightning have won 3 of their last 4 visits to Toronto and Tampa Bay's season is on the line here. This is it. Should the Lightning lose this game they are eliminated from post-season contention. The Leafs are also motivated here as they have yet to clinch a post-season spot. However, there is no comparison to the situation impacting the Bolts right now who will go extremely hard tonight to stave off elimination. Tampa Bay recently ran into a red hot Bruins team on Tuesday night at Boston but they now take on a Maple Leafs club that got drilled by Washington 4-1 Tuesday and that game was at Toronto! The Maple Leafs have gone 6-9 this season, and 20-52 the last 3 seasons when they scored 1 goal or less in their prior game. Toronto has a losing record in home games with a total set at 5.5 goals this season. The Lightning are 13-6 this season in road games with a total set at 5.5 goals. The Bolts are a desperate team that won't give up on the season and they are 48-26 the last 3 seasons when they allowed 4 goals or more in their prior game. ASA PLAY ON 9* Calgary Flames Money Line (+) over Anaheim Ducks, Tuesday at 10 PM ET
The Ducks are banged up on defense and the Flames are seeking revenge for a home loss to Anaheim on Sunday. Calgary had previously won 20 of 27 games and the loss to the division rival will bring out a strong response from the Flames Tuesday night. This is a key game in the playoff race and there is a reason this money line has been set so low even though the Flames have an epic 24-game losing streak going at Anaheim. Of course Calgary has closed the gap on the Ducks this season and the injuries to the Ducks defensive corps does include key players. With that said, the shorter price than many expected on home ice for the Ducks (given their long home winning streak against the Flames) is certainly not a gift. Anaheim had lost 2 straight before the win at Calgary Sunday and the Ducks are hosting a Flames team that has gone 24-13 this season when playing with revenge and that includes an 11-6 mark when it's home loss revenge. Bet the CALGARY FLAMES on the money line in what should be an upset out west on Tuesday night!
