NFL Football Week 1 Free Picks

cleveland browns quarterback robert griffin iii

Carolina (-3) at Denver – Panthers have big time revenge while Denver starts new QB. Thursday Night road favorites are a good bet against the spread. Play on Carolina.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta (-3) – Winston looks to have a break out year while the Falcons look to get back to respectability. The money is split on this game and can’t trust the Falcons as a favorite. Play on Tampa Bay

Minnesota (-2) at Tennessee – the Vikings lost Bridgewater and have yet to name their starter, most likely they’ll go with Bradford. Tennessee’s Mariota is one year older but still doesn’t have a good offense line. Play on Minnesota.

Cleveland at Philadelphia (4) – both teams start new QB’s with Griffin for Cleveland and rookie Wentz for the Eagles. The Browns have gutted their roster but the Eagles wont’ be much better. Browns a good bet plus the points. Play on Cleveland.

Cincinnati (-2.5) at NY Jets – The Bengals opened in this game as a 1-point favorite but they’ve been quickly bet up to a 2.5-point choice. The books are having trouble attracting any Jets money. Bengals bungle the opener. Play on NY Jets.

Oakland at New Orleans (-1) – until the Saints get a defense they won’t be able to beat any good teams. Oakland had a breakout year last season and we look for them to be better this year. Raiders rip the Saints. Play on Oakland.

SD at KC (-7) – Chiefs one of the biggest favorites on the board laying a touchdown. The money is relatively even on this game. Our money is on the Chiefs. Play on KC

Buffalo at Baltimore (-3) – The Ravens looking to bounce back from an awful year losing QB Flacco for most of the 2015 season. Buffalo has enough to keep this one close. Play on Buffalo.

Chicago at Houston (-6) – The Bears are getting no respect in this game. Despite them getting nearly a touchdown they have attracted only 30% of the offshore bets. Bears keep it close. Play on Chicago.

Green Bay (-5) at Jacksonville – the Packers get the nod for the team to date attracting the most action offshore as they have 82% of the bets in this contest. Playing on those teams is a dangerous proposition. This is a game the Packers will win but won’t cover. Play on Jacksonville.

Miami at Seattle (-10) – the Seahawks are the biggest favorite on the board laying a whopping 10 points. This line has scarred off the bettors as the money in the game is about even. The line isn’t scaring us. Seahawks roll. Play on Seattle.

NY Giants at Dallas (pick) – this game is a big matchup in the NFC East but it’s tarnished with Romo out and Prescott guiding the Cowboys. We like the Giants to go to Dallas and ruin Precott’s debut. Play on NY Giants.

Detroit at Indy (-3.5) – go battle between Luck and Stafford and despite Indy attracting two thirds of the money the line dropped from the opening number of 4.5-points. We like the Lions. Play on Detroit.

NE at Arizona (-6) – the Patriots are without Brady and start Garoppolo and it will be a tough test out in the desert versus the Cardinals. The Pats are not the same team without Brady. Lay the points. Play on Arizona.

Pittsburgh at Washington – this is the early of the two Monday Night games and it sets up as a good matchup with the Steelers a field goal favorite. Cousins had a break out season last year but we don’t trust him against the Steelers. Play on Pittsburgh.

LA Rams (-2.5) at SF – the new Rams open the season on the road in SF against a bad Niner squad. The Rams were hoping to open with Goff but that didn’t work out. LA starts Keenum but the difference in this game will be the Rams defense. Play on LA.
