Best NFL Team to Bet Against

Last year the Minnesota Vikings were the sportsbooks biggest nightmare. The Vikings crushed the books beating the betting line in 14 of their 17 games.

The Vikings started out the 2015 season with a 20-3 loss at SF failing to cover as 3-point betting favorites. After that against the spread loss the Vikings beat the betting line the next eight weeks in a row. Their streak was snapped when they were drilled by the Packers at home 30-13. They were favored to beat the Packers. They rebounded by getting the money over Atlanta but failed the following week versus Seattle. The Vikings then finished off the regular season with four straight betting wins. In the 2015 NFL Playoffs the Vikings hosted Seattle for the second time. They lost to the Seahawks again, this time 10-9, but covered as 4.5 point underdogs.

This season the Vikings won’t be flying under the radar. Bovada.lv has the Vikings projected to win 9.5 games, one of the highest numbers of all NFL teams.

Minnesota gets a lot of prime time exposure in the 2016 NFL season as they play two Monday Night games at home versus Eli Manning and the New York Giants, and go to Chicago to play NFC North division rival Chicago Bears. They play at Detroit on Thanksgiving  Day and host Tony Romo and the Cowboys on Thursday, December 1.

The best betting proposition will be to play against the Vikings on the road this season. Last year they were a staggering 7-1 against the betting line. The general betting public will be enamored with the Vikings road success last year. It’s always a good idea, in the right situation, to go against the betting public.
