It should be a battle of two big name backs but Saquon Barkley is looking more like the focal of his teams offense.   He rushed for 164 yards and a TD in week one vs the Titans. 

Expect another big performance from him as Carolina gave up 217 rushing yards to the Browns. What’s worse for the Pathers, they haven’t covered the spread in their last 8 games. 

New York did beat Carolina last season by 22 points, but that without Baker Mayfield and Christian McCaffrey.  A win and the Giants will start 2-0 for just the second time in 13 years.

The Chargers defence allowed 320 yards of total offence against the Raiders in week 1 but their secondary kept the air attack in check with 3 picks. Unfortunately they got eaten up by the run attack where Las Vegas averaged nearly 5 yards a game. With the possibility of Keenan Allen being out for this match-up, that also leaves Justin Herbert without his main passing target.

The Chiefs dominated Arizona with 488 total yards of offence including 360 passing yards and 5 touchdowns from Patrick Mahomes. The receiving core was able to spread the love and 4 different wide-outs reached the endzone.

Some recent trends to note, we all know how great Mahomes' arm is but they showed they have the capability to run the ball and run it well with 128 yards and one score.

Pittsburgh is going with Mitch Trubisky in the post-Big Ben era but for how long with Kenny Pickett waiting in the wings. On defence, the Steelers gave up the most rushing yards in franchise history last season.

The Bengals have a solid 1-2 punch in Ja'Marr Chase who caught 13 touchdowns and 1,000 yard receiver Tee Higgins. Add in the fact that Joe Burrow is coming off a year where he threw for 4,611 yards and 34 TDs. Cincinnati upgraded their offensive line in the off-season to better protect Burrow and give him more time in the pocket.

Buffalo also welcomed Von Miller to a solid defence that ranked 3rd with 30 takeaways last year and added 19 interceptions to their resume.

The Bucs have value here laying the points.

The Seahawks are the move in this prime matchup of NFC foes. 

Assuming both Rogers and Wilson are back here, this is going to be one of the best games on the slate. We know Wilson was given the green light and has been full go in practice. The Hawks sit at just 3-5 with a ton of work to do. The good news is that time is on their side with more than half the season remaining. 

Wilson will come out here and really look to make a statement. Expect him to open things up and utilize both his legs and arm as he will try to will on his team and get the Seahawks back in the playoff race.

The hype on the Browns right now is extremely high. Everyone has them as legit Super Bowl contenders and honestly, that isn't so far fetched. However, they still will have their hands full in this AFC Playoff rematch from last season. 

Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes left last season's game injured with a concussion. He's obviously back and he's set for a huge game against this Browns defense that does have some question marks.  

Kansas City's firepower is a lot and they will be amped up here inside Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

Green Bay -3.5 

The Packers have tremendous value here in New Orleans on Sunday.The Saints begin an era post Drew Brees as Jameis Winston will be calling the shots now. Overall, the Saints just have a lot of issues on both sides of the ball entering their 2021 campaign. 

The Packers meanwhile, know that Aaron Rodgers isn't going anywhere, for now at least. Rodgers was at the center of all the rumors this offseason and he will be out to really put together a solid season following the drama. 

Green Bay is just too talented in this spot. It'll take some time for the Saints to find their identity, which is a recipe for disaster when you're starting off against this kind of team.

Carolina -4 

The Panthers are worth laying the number here at home on Sunday. They welcome in the Jets, who will likely be starting a rookie QB in this spot. That is no easy task to start your NFL career on the road, regardless of the opponent.  

Meanwhile, Carolina has far more playmakers on their side. They have a healthy Christian McCaffrey heading into the season, who can just make defenders look silly. Expect him to be the difference maker as Sam Darnold will be itching to beat his old team.

Tampa Bay -8

The Bucs have value on Thursday night in the opening game of the NFL season. 

The Cowboys have a lot of question marks heading into the season. Dak Prescott hasn't played in quite some time as he was battling injuries last season. Combine that with some injuries on both sides of the ball and the Cowboys likely won't be at 100% come Thursday. 

Meanwhile, Brady and the Bucs are out for a defense of their title. They dominated their way to a Superbowl win last season and they return all their key pieces. Expect them to dictate the pace here and really force Dallas behind early. The Cowboys will have some rust, especially with Prescott here.

Wednesday 9* NFL ATS Play

Kansas City -3

The Chiefs are the move in the AFC Championship on Sunday. 

Kansas City squeaked by Cleveland last week, but that should have an asterisk by it. Mahomes went out with a concussion in a blowout and had he not got injured, who knows what would have happened.

Still, they found a way to win and Mahomes has been cleared to battle on Sunday. He has the Chiefs moving the ball with ease as they just have way too many weapons. Look for them to come out firing here against the Bills in a game where Buffalo just doesn't have the capacity to slow them down.

Tampa Bay +3

The Bucs are a very nice move here.

Tom Brady is playing at a different level right now. He’s got this Tampa Bay team moving the ball with efficiency and they’re coming up with a lot of timely score. Combine that with their third down efficiency as well and they are extremely dangerous. 

They’re in a spot where they can control the clock and tempo of this game. Look for them to sustain drives and keep this Saints offense off the field.

The Packers have tremendous value on Saturday.

The Rams come in off a win over the Seahawks, who just weren't as good as they've been in the past. They will have a banged up Jared Goff taking snaps, which is not going to be ideal for them. 

The Packers and Aaron Rodgers are rolling right now. They have dominated as of late and are rolling offensively. The Rams simply can't keep up in a shootout. 

On top of that, the Rams come into a cold weather place. Things aren't going to be easy for them on the field at all and then you combine the weather and everything sits against them here.

New Orleans -10

This is a lot of points for a playoff game in most instances. However, the Saints are just rolling right now. 

New Orleans had Drew Brees miss a few games and they didn't break stride. He returned and it was like he never left. The Saints are playing with extreme confidence and will be able to dictate a lot here against the Bears. 

New Orleans ranks 12th in total offense and Brees threw for 2942 yards even having some rib issues. 

Look for them to utilize Kamara and open things up, as they just have too many weapons to deal with.

The Bucs are worth a nice move on Saturday night.

Tom Brady and the playoffs just go together. They have found their groove and this team is rolling right now. 

That doesn't mean good fortunes for Washington here, who owns a losing record and is in the playoffs simply because of an awful division. Washington just doesn't have the firepower to keep up here. Look for the Bucs to overwhelm them on both sides of the ball, as Brady and company are just too much for them.

This line is interesting. 

It keeps going down while the news about Goff becomes more and more cloudy. Regardless if he plays or not we still are on the Seahawks. 

Seattle has been playing with a lot of confidence and Russell Wilson is in the midst of a nice run. The Hawks can run the ball right at opponents and have Wilson beat teams with his arm or legs. 

They knocked off Los Angeles in Seattle a few weeks ago and should be able to have their way once again here.

A win and they're in. That's as simple as it gets for them. 

They've eliminated the Haskins drama this past week and can now move on and focus on this one Sunday night. 

This is a nice matchup for them. The Eagles have had their share of issues all season long and it starts at the top. Carson Wentz has made it public he wants out and Jalen Hurts has been thrown into the gauntlet. Expect him to struggle under the lights here as Washington will dial up a lot of blitz packages.

The Packers have been in stride all season and have a shot here to clinch the one seed.

Green Bay knocked off Tennessee last week in a snow storm, as they simply dominated from start to finish. Now, they get a shot at the Bears, who they have dominated in the past.

Green Bay comes into Sunday a solid 19-7 ATS in their last 26 meetings. Combine that with them going 16-5 ATS in their last 21 meetings in Chicago and this is a very favorable matchup for them. Expect them to control the clock here and really sustain drives, which is Rodgers' speciality.

The Bills are a valuable play on Monday Night Football.

New England has lost 3 of their last 5, eliminating them from the playoffs. This team has had an abysmal season and they simply haven't been good on either side of the ball.

Now turn to Buffalo, who will be one of the top seeds in the AFC. Behind Josh Allen, the Bills have been rolling. They've won 4 in a row and have this offense clicking on all cylinders. Look for them to continue that trend here, as New England comes in with one of the bottom tier defenses in the NFL.

Some trends to note. Bills are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win of more than 14 points.Bills are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 150 yards passing in their previous game.

Los Angeles +1.5

The Seahawks just aren't getting the job done right now.

While they won on Sunday in Washington, they struggled and managed to not even cover. This defense has just had so many issues and that is not a good sign with the Rams in town. 

Los Angeles ranks 8th overall in total yards and should be able to establish a solid run game here on Sunday in Seattle. Look for them to control the clock and work to set themselves up into some short yardage situations. With that in mind, they should be able to dictate the pace and keep the ball out of Wilson's hands.

Chicago has value laying the points on Sunday.

Chicago came out of nowhere after a major cold streak and they're now playing like they're a legit contender. 

Mitch Trubisky has the offense moving the ball and scoring a lot of points. 

Meanwhile, they will see a Jacksonville team that is now in line for the top overall pick. Jacksonville was obliterated by the Ravens last week and they just continue to get burned by everyone. This is a team that just lacks so much and they won't be able to keep up here in this one.

Tampa Bay has had no issues scoring the last couple of weeks. They have put together solid performances against Atlanta and Minnesota offensively, with Brady really hitting his stride.

This is a Lions defense that won't be able to slow them down. Detroit is giving up 31.1 points per game, which ranks last in the NFL. They haven't had any luck getting to opposing QBs or shutting down the big play. 

Expect Brady to take some shots and find a lot of success down field against this secondary.

The Vikings have value grabbing the points here.

Minnesota has been a tough team to figure out this season. One week they look unbeatable and the the next they struggle. 

However, when you have Dalvin Cook on your side, you're going to have a chance every week. 

Minnesota has shown the ability to sustain drives and put together some nice strings of plays. Look for them to try and control this clock, keeping Drew Brees and company off the field.

Pittsburgh -14

The Steelers have the value on Monday Night. 

Pittsburgh has been exposed a bit over the last 2 games with their struggles, but this is the perfect game to get their swagger back.

With Joe Burrow going down, the Bengals have just been a wreck overall. Offensively they have nothing working and on the defensive end they've struggled all season long.

This is the chance for Pittsburgh to sustain drives, move the ball, and get their confidence back if anything.

The Giants are the move on SNF. 

This game was flexed into primetime as both teams still have a lot to play for. 

New York will go with Colt McCoy here, who does have a win over the Seahawks under his belt this season. Combine that with this being against his old team and he will be playing with a nice chip on his shoulder.

Look for the Giants to try and sustain drives and utilize the clock, as it will allow them to keep this high powered Cleveland offense off the field. If they can do that, it will certainly frustrate the Browns and allow New York to take advantage of some mistakes.

The Chiefs are a very valuable play laying the small number.

New Orleans was showcased as extremely vulnerable last week after losing to Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. This defense struggled and things won't get any easier for them this week.
