At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans + the points over Dallas.  The Pelicans come into tonight's game seeking revenge from a 10-point loss last month, and I think they'll get it.  One reason is that the Mavericks have been horrible in the rebounding department since Christmas.  Indeed, in their last 18 games, the Mavericks have not out-rebounded any of their opponents!  Not surprisingly, they're 5-13 ATS in those games.  Even worse, Dallas has been dreadful as a favorite this season, and especially when laying more than 4 points, as it's 5-20-1 ATS, including 1-5 ATS when playing a revenge-minded opponent.  For the season, Dallas is also 4-10 ATS vs. revenge-minded foes.  And the Pelicans are 7-3-1 ATS their last 11 at Dallas when playing with revenge.  Take New Orleans + the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8 pm, our selection is on the Alabama State Bulldogs + the points over Florida A&M.  The Rattlers have not been a good point spread team at home, as they're 1-8 ATS their last nine.  Meanwhile, Alabama State has excelled as a favorite of -10 points or less, as it's 16-7 ATS, including 8-1 ATS off back to back losses.  Take the Bulldogs minus the points.

At 9 pm, our selection is on the Texas Tech Red Raiders + the points over Iowa State.  The Cyclones have been great at home this season, as they're 11-0 straight-up, and 7-4 ATS (and have covered by an average of 8.0 ppg).  But on the road, it's been a different story.  The Cyclones are just 2-4 straight-up, and have failed to cover the spread by 2.5 ppg.  And Iowa State is also a horrid 13-26 ATS its last 39 as a road favorite, including 5-17 ATS vs. revenge-minded foes.  It's true that the Cyclones blew out the Red Raiders, 84-50, earlier this month, in Ames.  But Big 12 teams are 33-14-3 ATS when playing with revenge from 24-point (or worse) defeat, if they weren't getting 7+ points in the current game.  Take Texas Tech + the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over the San Antonio Spurs.  The Spurs are the league's worst defensive team, but had one of their better games Wednesday when they upset Brooklyn, 106-98.  San Antonio held the Nets to just 42.0 percent shooting, which was just the 7th time all season the Spurs' defense held its opponent to less than 44.0 percent from the floor.  Unfortunately, for San Antonio, it generally doesn't put two good defensive games together, back-to-back.  Indeed, the Spurs have gone 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS in their six games following a defensive effort below 44%.  They lost by an average of 24 ppg, and their defensive FG percentage and points allowed in those six games were 53.8%/143 points, 53.4%/132 points, 52.1%/133 points, 48.4%/126 points, 53.5%/130 points, and 58.1%/126 points.  San Antonio is already 0-2 SU/ATS this season vs. the Clippers.  And they're an ugly 0-10 SU/ATS this season vs. Pacific division teams.  Lay the points with the Clippers.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
