At 3 pm, our selection is on the Missouri Tigers minus the points over Central Arkansas.  The Bears got the $$$ two days ago in a 16-point loss (as a 32.5-point underdog) vs. Oklahoma.  But off that ATS win, we'll fade Central Arkansas this afternoon, as it's 12-31-2 ATS off a point spread win.  Take Missouri.

At 2:30 pm, our selection is on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs + the points over Georgia.  Alabama A&M has been installed as a monstrous underdog this afternoon, and we'll happily grab the points, noting that Georgia is an awful 27-50-2 ATS its last 79, including 2-11-1 ATS when favored by more than 9 points.  Take Alabama A&M.

At 1 pm, our selection is on the Fordham Rams minus the points over Columbia.  The Lions enter off back to back SU/ATS road wins over Lafayette and Fairleigh Dickinson, while Fordham lost its two previous games, SU/ATS, to St. John's and Central Connecticut St.  We'll take Fordham to rebound off those losses, as it's 11-0 ATS off back to back SU/ATS losses, while Columbia is 11-31-1 ATS off back to back ATS wins.  Take Fordham minus the points.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Portland Trail Blazers minus the points over San Antonio.  These two teams met last night, and we played on the Spurs as a small underdog.  San Antone blew out Portland from the get-go, with a 38-14 advantage after 12 minutes, and coasted to a 118-105 win.  Victor Wembanyama led the way for San Antonio, as he tallied 30 points, and blocked seven shots.  But Wemby will sit out tonight's game, since coach Gregg Popovich doesn't want him playing back to back nights right now.  The Trail Blazers fall into a 71-42 ATS revenge system of mine, so we'll take Portland to avenge its loss last night, and lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels + the points over Purdue.  The Boilermakers were my preseason pick (at 15-1 odds) to win the national championship.  And, so far, they've not disappointed as they're ranked #1 with an 11-1 record.  Purdue blew out Jacksonville, 100-57, in their last game, while the Dolphins lost at Alabama.  We'll fade Purdue, as the Boilers are an ugly 0-10 ATS off a win by 14 (or more) points when they were matched up against an opponent off a loss.  Take Eastern Kentucky + the points.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Michigan Wolverines minus the points over McNeese St.  The Cowboys are 10-2, but this will be their toughest test yet.  The Wolves come into this game off a 106-101 loss to the Florida Gators, so they'll be looking to bounce back on Friday.  And Michigan generally does rebound off losses, as they're 93-56-2 ATS.  Lay the points with Juwan Howard's men.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Maine Black Bears + the points over Minnesota.  This will be the Golden Gophers' final non-conference tune-up before their Big 10 schedule resumes (they played Ohio State and Nebraska earlier this month).  The Gophers have won 4 straight, and have covered their last six.  But they also haven't played a game in over a week, so I expect some rust this evening.  Maine is 14-5 ATS as a double digit underdog.  And it's also 21-11 ATS off a loss vs. an opponent off a win.  Finally, the Black Bears fall into an 871-649-31 ATS system of mine. At 7 pm, our selection is on the Cincinnati Bearcats minus the points over Evansville.  The Bearcats will open their Big 12 Conference season at BYU next week, and will welcome the Purple Aces into Cincinnati as a final tune-up before conference play.  The Bearcats last played a week ago and downed Stetson, 83-75, as a 21.5-point home favorite.  Cincy is a stellar 15-0 ATS off an ATS loss, when it wasn't favored by more than 21 points, so I look for it to blow out Evansville tonight.  Lay the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 6 pm, our selection is on the North Florida Ospreys + the points over Miami-Fla.  The Hurricanes smashed Stonehill, 97-59, in their last game to move to 8-2 on the season.  Miami's favored by double-digits tonight, but is a woeful 7-23 ATS when laying 13+ points at home, including 13-1 ATS off back to back wins.  Even worse:  Miami is 2-11 ATS at home off a win by 30+ points.  Take North Florida.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Portland.  This is the first of back to back games between these clubs.  (Game #2 will be played here tomorrow night.)  The Blazers pulled off an upset of the Sacramento Kings, 130-113, on Tuesday.  But that upset win has triggered a negative 41-86 ATS system of mine which fades certain teams off home upset victories.  The Spurs come into this game off 5 straight losses, including a 130-118 loss to the Jazz two days ago.  And coach Gregg Popovich is extremely displeased with his team's lack of effort on the defensive end (and has expressed his displeasure vociferously over the last 2 days).  The Spurs are 163-118 ATS in the regular season off a loss by more than 10 points.  I expect a better performance by the Silver and Black tonight, and we'll take the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans minus the points over Utah.  The Jazz have won 3 straight, but I believe their win streak will be halted tonight by New Orleans.  These two teams met twice in Salt Lake City over Thanksgiving, and the Jazz swept that 2-game set with triumphs by 5 and 2 points.  We'll take the Pelicans to avenge those losses, as they're 76-39-2 ATS at home when playing with revenge from 2 losses earlier in the season, including 55-25 ATS vs. foes off a straight-up win.  Take New Orleans minus the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Detroit Pistons + the points over the Brooklyn Nets.  The Pistons are now tied for the most consecutive losses (26) within a single season, and will hold the record by themselves with a straight-up loss tonight.  Of course, we only care about the point spread, and will grab the points with Detroit.  We actually played against the Pistons and took the Nets when these two team met three days ago in Brooklyn.  The Nets won that game by 11 (as a 10-point favorite).  But I expect a much closer game in this rematch, as the Pistons fall into a super 75-26 ATS system of mine, while Brooklyn is a wallet-busting 39-57-1 ATS as a road favorite of 5 or more points.  Take Detroit as a home underdog.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

At 12:10 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks + the points over Milwaukee.  This is the 2nd of back to back meetings between these teams.  Milwaukee was favored by 2 points on Saturday, and won by 19, 130-111.  The point spread is higher on Christmas, and we'll take the Knicks to avenge their loss.  Both teams have solid records.  New York is 16-12, while Milwaukee is 22-7.  In regular season matchups between foes with win percentages greater than .550, teams off a loss by 12+ points have gone 76-38 ATS vs. foes off a win by 12+ points (including 7-2 ATS if it was the 2nd of back to back meetings).  Take New York.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

But we'll still take Detroit, and go against NC State, as ACC Conference teams are a miserable 46-78 ATS when favored against an opponent with a negative scoring margin that lost its last three games SU/ATS.  Take Detroit.

At 1 pm, our selection is on the West Virginia Mountaineers minus the points over Toledo.  West Virginia lost here, in Morgantown, to Radford, 66-65, on Wednesday.  We'll lay the points with the Mountaineers, as they've cashed 73% since 1990 as a home favorite off an upset home loss.  Take WVU.

At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Middle Tennessee St Blue Raiders + the points over Southern Utah. The Blue Raiders lost by 37 at St. Mary's on Tuesday.  We'll take Middle Tennessee, as Southern Utah has cashed just 34.7% vs. foes off losses by more than 20 points.  Take the Blue Raiders.

At 2 pm, our selection is on the Alcorn St. Braves + the points over George Washington.  The Revolutionaries will take the floor tonight for the first time in nine days, following their win over Bowie St, while the Braves played (and lost) just two days ago.  There's always a 'rest vs. rust' debate, and I favor the rust side in the debate when it comes to NCAA basketball.  Indeed, teams (like George Washington) that were off 3+ wins have gone 338-397 ATS at home in the regular season when they were playing with more than a week of rest, including 26.3% the last 7 years against foes that had no more than 1 day of rest.  The Revolutionaries are also 64-83-4 ATS as a favorite in non-conference games, including 9-15-2 ATS vs. foes off back to back losses.  Take Alcorn St.

At 9 pm, our selection is on the North Carolina Tar Heels minus the points over Oklahoma.  The Tar Heels were upset by Kentucky, 87-83, on Saturday.  And that was North Carolina's 2nd straight loss.  We'll take the Tar Heels to bounce back, as they've gone 29-15-2 ATS in non-conference games off an upset loss.  Lay the points.

At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Hawks + the points over the Houston Rockets.  We played against the Hawks in their last game, and got the money with the Pistons as a 12-point road underdog.  Atlanta won that game, 130-124, but failed to cover.  Its ATS record is now 6-19 ATS, which is the worst in the league.  But if one digs deeper into its numbers, one finds that it's only failed to cover the spread by an average of 0.55 ppg.  And it's actually covered the spread on the road by +1.73 ppg; at home is where Atlanta has really underperformed.  Tonight, the Hawks are on the road, and have been installed as a road underdog vs. Houston.  We'll take the Hawks.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
