BIG AL's 100% PERFECT (9-0) NL GAME OF THE MONTH!: Al McMordie was 3-1 here Saturday, as he cashed the Blues in Hockey, Jazz in Hoops; and Tigers w/ Verlander. On Sunday, Al's releasing a MONSTER PLAY: it's Big Al's National League Game of the Month, and it's out of a 100% (9-0) PERFECT situation. Go get it!
Game: Atlanta Braves at Arizona Diamondbacks Apr 22 2012 4:10PM
Prediction: Arizona Diamondbacks
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: At 4:10 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Atlanta Braves. Arizona righthander Ian Kennedy had a rare sub-par outing in his last start against the Pirates of all teams, allowing four runs on eight hits through six innings while taking a no-decision. Kennedy has been extremely consistent for this team since coming over in 2010. In fact, last season, Kennedy had one of the highest quality start percentages in the National League when he threw quality starts in 24 of his 33 outings (a percentage of 73%) and he has two of three so far this season. Although Kennedy has never beaten the Braves, he's had two very strong starts against them, allowing just three runs in 13 1/3 innings, good for an ERA of just 2.03. Even better: he's won eight straight decisions, and is 15-1 over his last 18 starts (and 9-0 over his last 10 home starts)! Young Braves righthander Randall Delgado is 2-0 so far, but his ERA of 4.35 and ugly WHIP of 1.65 indicate that he's been more lucky than good and this afternoon could bring some trouble for the 22-year-old. The D-Backs have been one of the best home teams of late, going 35-16 in their last 51 games in the desert. Take Arizona. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
