Game: San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks Apr 6 2012 7:10PM
Prediction: San Francisco Giants
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: 15* graded play on the San Francisco Giants as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks set to start at 7:05 PM ET. The simulator shows a high probability that San Francisco will win this game. Ian Kennedy is an excellent starter, but in a head-to-head competition, I would always go with the former Cy Young award winner Lincecum. This is the first game for both teams of the 2012 season and obviously the home opener for Arizona. It is amazing that at 5-11 and just 163 pounds that Lincecum has been able to sustain the grueling grind of the the MLB season. He has dominated the current members of the Diamondbacks allowing a .210 batting average with just four home runs allowed in their respective careers spanning 243 at-bats. Kennedy has not had the best of luck facing Buster Posey (6-for-14, .429), and Aubrey Huff (10-for-27, .370) in his career. With Posey back in the lineup fully recovered from a gruesome ankle injury in 2011, the Giants have a formidable offensive lineup and one that I do not see Kennedy getting through unscathed. Take the Giants.
