Game: Detroit Pistons at Atlanta Hawks Apr 6 2012 7:35PM
Prediction: Atlanta Hawks
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Hawks minus the points over Detroit, as the Hawks fall into a 149-89 ATS 'momentum' system of mine based on its 27-point blowout win over Charlotte on Wednesday. That was Atlanta's 3rd straight cover, overall, and it's 13-6-1 ATS since March 1. And the blowout nature of that victory over the Bobcats allowed coach Larry Drew to rest his starters for the entire 4th quarter. And that will serve Atlanta well tonight against a Detroit club which played last night. Take Atlanta. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

Game: New Orleans Pelicans at San Antonio Spurs Apr 6 2012 8:35PM
Prediction: New Orleans Hornets
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Hornets + the points over San Antonio. The Spurs are the hottest team in the league with nine straight wins, and 26 victories in their last 31 contests. New Orleans, on the other hand, is the least successful team in the Western Conference. But what these two teams share is a willingness to play hard for 48 minutes. And that's a testament to the two coaches, Gregg Popovich and Monty Williams. Not surprisingly, Williams once played for Popovich. These two teams have met three times already this season. Although the Spurs were victors in all three, two of the games were decided by three points or less, and the Hornets covered those two narrow losses. Tonight, the Spurs are favored by double-digits, but I think the price is too high, given that New Orleans' best player -- Eric Gordon -- returned Wednesday after missing all but two games this season, and scored 15 points. The Hornets also have Chris Kaman, Trevor Ariza and Carl Landry back after short absences, and they'll be a dangerous spoiler down the stretch. Take the points.

Game: Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers Apr 6 2012 7:05PM
Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over Indiana. The Thunder come into tonight's game on a rare 2-game losing streak, and Scott Brooks' men have been terrific off a loss since he was hired, including 33-9 ATS on the road vs. a foe off a win, and 11-1 on the road vs. foes off 3 or more wins. The Thunder are 24-11 off back to back pointspread losses, and we'll lay the short number tonight.
