Reason: Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA *10* Top Play OVER the total in New Orleans vs Charlotte @ 8:05 PM ET Monday - The Hornets are off of a road win at Minnesota Saturday that stayed just under the total. Prior to that, New Orleans' games had recorded just two unders in their last ten! The fact is that the Hornets have picked up the pace on offense and there is no reason to expect that to change against the Bobcats. Charlotte is one of the worst teams in the NBA and, at home, the Hornets will undoubtedly be looking to simply run the Bobcats right out of the building. Note that New Orleans has been a favorite just 5 times this season and only one of those five games stayed under the total! Also, the Hornets are 4-1 to the over this season when facing teams whose defense allows an average of at least 99 points per game. Charlotte's defense has struggled all season and the Bobcats recently have allowed at least 99 points in 7 of their last 9 games. Charlotte is coming off of an embarrassing effort where they allowed 122 points to the Thunder in their most recent game. Even though they now face a Hornets team that is not known for it's offensive prowess, note that the Bobcats are 8-2 to the over the last three seasons (and 26-10 to the over long-term) when they are facing a team who is averaging 91 points or less on the season. Look for the Bobcats to move to 7-3 to the over this season when they are off of a non-conference game. For the 2nd straight game, Charlotte faces a non-conference foe and, once again, the game flies over the total. The Bobcats have allowed their opponents to hit at least 50% of their shots in 6 of their last 9 road games. Only 2 of the Hornets last 8 home games have stayed under the total and they are fired up for a huge performance at home as they celebrate the first game on their home floor in nearly 10 days. Play OVER the total in New Orleans as a *10* Top Play selection.
