Game: Houston Astros at Milwaukee Brewers Apr 24 2012 8:10PM
Prediction: Milwaukee Brewers
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Brewers over the Houston Astros. Brewer southpaw starter Randy Wolf is off to a rough beginning to the 2012 season, but to be fair to the 35-year-old veteran, Wolf has faced the three top run-scoring teams in the National League in the Cardinals, Braves, and Dodgers in his first three starts. Now he gets the Astros, who aren't doing too well in the run-scoring department, but their pitching staff is not near the quality of those three aforementioned teams. After a bit of a slow start, the Brewers' hitters are starting to heat up, especially at home. They scored nine runs here on Saturday against the Rockies and six runs last night against this same Astros team. Astros' righthander Bud Norris may be 3-2 in his career against Milwaukee, but he's never beaten them at Miller Park and he has a 4.50 ERA there in two starts. The Brewers are 56-25 in their last 81 home games and the Astros are 5-17 in their last 22 meetings with the Brew Crew. Take the Brewers. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
