Game: Memphis Grizzlies at New Orleans Pelicans Apr 15 2012 7:05PM
Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: I'm laying the points with the Grizzlies on Sunday night. Memphis has a very favorable schedule as they look to overtake the Lakers for the third seed in the Western Conference playoff standings. To do so, they must take every game seriously, even those against teams like the Hornets. There will be no time to kick back and relax as they look to improve their playoff seeding. New Orleans has won back-to-back games, but they recently lost Jarret Jack, which means it's Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman on the offensive end. Memphis is not only too big for the Hornets inside, but Tony Allen provides outstanding perimeter defense. Too many weapons at both ends along with that size advantage should lead Memphis to a comfortable win and cover. The Grizzlies played last night, but they're on a 34-16-1 ATS run when playing without rest. New Orleans is just 3-13 ATS off an outright underdog win by at least 10 points. And finally, Memphis is on a 5-0 ATS run in New Orleans, including a win and cover in the Big Easy in January. I'm laying the points with Memphis on Sunday. Thanks! GL! Scott.
