Sam Martin's 25* NBA CLASH OF THE TITANS (7-1 RUN): Sam's BLOWOUT WINNER ON THE SPURS last night pushed his current NBA STREAK TO 7-1 ATS and even more impressive is that ALL SEVEN WINS CAME BY DOUBLE-DIGITS (5 by 20+ PTS!)!!! Now Sam unleashes his HIGHEST-RATED 25* NBA CLASH OF THE TITANS on the MIA vs. NY clash early!!
Game: Miami Heat at New York Knicks Apr 15 2012 1:05PM
Prediction: Miami Heat
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: 25* Play on Miami. We backed Miami as a big favorite against Charlotte in their last time out, and we'll back them again here - this time as a small road favorite in Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. The Heat lost each of their last two road games by double-digits (against the Bulls and Celtics), but they match up very well against the Knicks and the big win against the Bobcats should give this team a boost of momentum heading into this afternoon's matchup.
The Heat beat the Knicks handily in each of this season's first two meetings, with Miami winning by ten points in January and 14 points in February. And the stat we liked the most after reviewing those games was Miami's defense, which held New York to shooting percentages under 40% in both of those games.
New York is coming off a huge win against Washington in a game that saw New York hold the Wizards to 63 points on 28% shooting. Obviously that is one of the best defensive efforts of the season for the Knicks, but they now take a huge step up in class against this Heat offense that is averaging 100 points per game on 47% shooting on the year. New York has been good in the win/loss column over the few weeks but that has been more of a product of their schedule than anything else. We're not convinced the Knicks can put forth a solid offensive effort against Miami for a full 48 minutes (evidenced by their two meetings this season), and we look for Miami's defense to come up big as the Heat pull away late to cover easily! 25* Play on Miami.
