Game: Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans Mar 21 2012 8:05PM
Prediction: New Orleans Hornets
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: I'm playing on NEW ORLEANS. Things aren't good in Golden State. You may have seen the Warriors' "fans" shower their owner with boos recently. That's because he traded away fan favorite, Monta Ellis. It doesn't help matters that the primary player they got in return, Andrew Bogut, remains injured. Throw in the fact that Stephen Curry is also out and this team is quite short-handed here, at least in terms of who normally scores their points. The Warriors have now lost four straight. The Hornets, on the other hand, are off a solid 102-94 road game on 3/17. They're 11-7 ATS their last 18 games and they're 1-0 ATS on the season, when playing with three or more day's rest in between games. The Hornets are an impressive 15-4 SU and 13-6 ATS the last 19 times that they played a home game with an O/U line in the 185 to 189.5 range. Speaking of 15-4, despite getting upset here last January, the Hornets are also 15-4 the last 19 times that they were a host in this series. They're "feeling better about themselves" right now and I expect them to improve on those stats here. *9
