MTi's NBA SIDE PLAY OF THE DAY!!!: MTi Sports returned with a flourish yesterday, going perfect 3-0. Check out their write-ups at PAST RESULTS. For Monday, MTi has one play, a strong side selection. It is supported by logical reasoning and expert analysis. Reasonably priced at just $25.
Game: Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Hornets Mar 19 2012 7:05PM
Prediction: Charlotte Bobcats
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: When a bad team comes from behind to win a game, it keeps them focused throughout in the next contest. Certainly, Charlotte is a bad team. They have had a defeatist attitude all season and they have lacked confidence. However, they have all their injured players back and they came back from an early 15-point deficit to beat the Raptors 107-103.
This is a strong play-on indicator for the Bobcats. Charlotte’s trend number four from the 2011-12 NBA Handicapping Bible reads, “CHA004: The Bobcats are 11-0 ATS (+12.5 ppg) since March 07, 2008 at home off a win in which they trailed by 10+ points.” Charlotte has added two winners this season, moving them to 13-0 ATS in this spot.
The Sixers are struggling for an identity. They have no star, no leader. When they are splaying poorly, it is difficult for them to get back in the groove. In their last game, they blew an early 15-point lead to the Bulls, with Jrue Holiday taking the lion’s share of the shots; he had 27 attempts and no other Sixer had more than ten.
Philadelphia is 0-5 ATS (-11.6 ppg) off a loss in which they led by double digits at the end of the first quarter. The 76ers are 0-5 straight up in this situation, losing by an average of 15.2 ppg. They have scored an average of 83.8 points while shooting only 40.1% from the field.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the 76ers are 0-4 ATS (-8.8 ppg) after a loss on the road in which Andre Iguodala shot worse than 33% from the field.
Grab the points.
