Nick's 10* WEST-CONF GAME OF YEAR~THIS IS THE BIG: THIS IS IT! Nick "The BookieKiller" Parsons waits ALL season for an opportunity of this magnitude to present itself, and the time is FINALLY HERE! Nick has come across an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE investment option from the Western Conference, and has had no choice but to stamp it as his 10* ONE AND ONLY WEST-CONF GAME OF THE YEAR!
Game: Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns Mar 12 2012 10:05PM
Prediction: Phoenix Suns
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the home side: The Wolves struggled without Ricky Rubio in the lineup (he's out for six more weeks), losing 95-89 at home to New Orleans. Kevin Love did his best to shoulder the load, scoring 31-points and grabbing 16-boards. “It’s devastating,” Martell Webster said of the injury. “But we’ve got to bounce back from it.” Note that Minnesota has struggled in this position already this season; just 1-3 ATS in its last four after playing 3-consecutive home games; also just 7-9 ATS in its last 16 when playing against a team with a losing record. On the other bench: The Suns have won two straight over two very good clubs; first they beat the defending champs, and then they won 98-91 over Memphis on Saturday. Balanced scoring, and a renewed commitment to defense has been the difference. Jared Dudley had 19-points; Marcin Gortat had 15-points and nine-rebounds; Grant Hill had 14-points; Steve Nash and Robin Lopez each had 11; Channing Frye added 10. Nash also had 15 assists: “I think we’re adjusting as the game goes along and finding ways to get ourselves going snd usually someone gives us a lift,” Nash said. Note that Phoenix is 11-9 ATS in its last 20 home games; also 7-5 ATS in its last 12 off an upset win as an underdog. Bottom line: With three games in three nights starting on Wednesday, tonight's contest is basically a "must win" for the Suns; the oddsmakers are slow in recognizing how well Phoenix is playing, and how quickly the Wolves chemistry has dissolved with the absence of Rubio; *10* WESTERN-CONFERENCE GAME OF THE YEAR on the PHOENIX SUNS!
