Game: Oklahoma at Baylor Feb 25 2012 1:45PM
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: I'm laying the points with Baylor on Saturday afternoon. I posted Oklahoma on these pages in their most recent game, a 77-64 win and cover over Oklahoma State. I mentioned in the write-up that I felt the Sooners were in a solid spot. But they're not in a good spot in this one...which has been the norm when this team heads out on the road. The win over Kansas State was a very nice upset, but their last 3 road games have not gone well. The Bears were struggling, but picked up a nice road win last time out over Texas. Baylor looked back to normal on the offensive end where they rank 29th and 21st in FG percentage and 3-point accuracy. I expect the shots to fall in this one, also. Baylor won the season's first meeting by 12 in Norman. They shot 54% overall, including 50% from behind the arc. OU is not a strong defensive team and Baylor throws 5 players at an opponent, who all average between 9.3 and 13.3 ppg. Oklahoma is on a 4-12 ATS slide in conference play and they're 2-11 ATS against teams playing better than .800 basketball. I'm laying the points with Baylor on Saturday. Thanks! GL! Scott.
