Game: Utah Jazz at Houston Rockets Feb 19 2012 7:05PM
Prediction: Houston Rockets
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: Play on Houston at 7:05 ET. The Rockets are one of those under the radar teams you can typically find value w/ on a nightly basis. Such is the case here as they look to rebound from a bad loss to Minnesota the other night, which was their third game in four nights and followed a nice upset of Oklahoma City here at the Toyota Center. Utah has not traveled well this season, going just 3-9 SU and allowing 102 PPG. The Jazz come off their best offensive showing of the season, but that was against the Wizards at home (we played 'Over'). Prior to that, they were averaging less than 90 PPG over the previous six games. This is the first time these teams have played this season, but Houston is 2-0 against Utah since Ty Corbin took over the Jazz. Utah cannot match the Rockets' depth. Kevin McHale is surprisingly doing a good job in his first season on the Houston bench. Most importantly, the Rockets are a perfect 7-0 ATS at home off a SU Loss this season. Take Houston.

Game: Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Feb 19 2012 7:05PM
Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: Play on Milwaukee at 7:05 ET. This looks like a classic spot to back the Bucks, laying a short number on the road to a poor New Jersey team, which is off a huge upset of Chicago yday on the road as double digit dogs. Milwaukee comes into New Jersey on a four-game losing streak (also 0-4 ATS), but three of those games came against Miami & Orlando. This is a drop in class. Prior to beating the Bulls Saturday, the Nets had lost eight in a row. They are 0-7 SU/ATS their last seven meetings with Milwaukee, including 0-3 here at home, losing by an average of more than 20 PPG. They are just 1-4 ATS off a SU dog win this season, not to mention 3-7 ATS when playing on back to back days and 2-7 ATS as a home dog. The reason this line is so low is that New Jersey is finally getting C Brook Lopez back, but it's going to take awhile to integrate him back into the lineup after missing three months. Lay the short number. Take Milwaukee.

Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns Feb 19 2012 8:05PM
Prediction: over
Grade: Winner (100)
Reason: 10* Play Over LA Lakers/Phoenix at 8:05 ET. Lenny spent years working on an NBA "totals system" and began using it in January '07 on the net, with great success. It's based on numerous factors, some of them listed here. Anticipated pace and style of both teams' play. Days of rest for teams or lack of it. Number of points scored by starters as compared to subs in recent outings (plus season-long averages). It also factors in point and rebounding differentials of the two teams. With all these factors (and many more), it's not possible to provide Lenny's "typical analysis" with his NBA totals selections. Last year was the first season that he is supplying trends & stats to supplement the plays. These teams soared over the total against one another Friday night and quite simply the oddsmakers have not adjusted enough. The Lakers scored a season high 111 points and Phoenix is just a poor defensive team, giving up more than 105 PPG over the last week. After going Under in so many games to start the season, the Lakers are long overdue for some Overs. Plays are rated 10* (Game of Day), 15* (Game of Week), 20* (Game of Month) and some rare 25* plays. 10* Play Over Lakers/Phoenix.
