Burns' *10 ULTIMATE ANNIHILATOR ~ BIG TOTAL ALERT!: Ben Burns lost with LA last night. The Kings played well but ran into a hot goalie and lost 1-0. Today, he bounces back with an EVEN BIGGER PLAY. Burns WON BIG last Sunday & his "Total Annihilator" resulted in a DOUBLE-DIGIT WINNER. You know what to do!
Game: Vancouver Canucks at Edmonton Oilers Feb 19 2012 9:00PM
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: I'm playing on Vancouver and Edmonton to finish UNDER the total. The Canucks are off a high-scoring game last night, a 6-2 beatdown of Toronto. They're games vs. Toronto are often high-scoring though. That's not the case for their games here at Edmonton and I'm expecting a considerably lower-scoring affair here. Since the start of the 2009-2010 season, six of Vancouver's eight visits to Edmonton have fallen below the total. The last meeting here finished with a score of 3-2. This season, Vancouver's divisional games are averaging just 5.2 goals. Edmonton's divisional games are averaging only slightly higher, at 5.3. Going back further finds the UNDER at 176-124 the last 300 times that the Oilers played a home game with an O/U line. That's a solid 58.7% over the span of 300 plays. Edmonton's last game finished with a score of 3-1, which ended a stretch of higher-scoring contests. Prior to last night's game, the Canucks had seen three straight games produce five or fewer goals. Those games had scores of 3-1, 2-1 and 3-2. I feel this one also has an excellent shot at finishing with five or less. *10
