NBA bettors get a rare shot at one of the best bets in the NBA as an underdog Sunday night. Back-to-back losses for the Philadelphia 76ers have oddsmakers discounting their odds when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Sixers suffered a bad loss to the Dallas Mavericks Friday, with the starters going 0 for 14 from the field in the second half. Luckily, Philadelphia has some serious scoring depth off the bench, with the likes of Louis Williams, Nikola Vucevic and Thaddeus Young picking up the slack and saving a bad loss from becoming a blowout embarrassment. That shows just how good the 76ers can be. They have six players averaging in double figures, putting up 95 points a night as a team. The Sixers also boast the league’s top defense, and will lean on that against the T-Wolves Sunday. Minnesota doesn’t have the scoring depth that Philadelphia does, and went just three players deep into the bench in Friday’s win over the Houston Rockets. The Timberwolves got 11 points off the pine, with top reserve Michael Beasley chipping in with only nine points. The Sixers aggressive defense will look to wear down a thin T-Wolves squad and the bench will maintain a high level on offense, keeping Minnesota looking for answers all night. Philadelphia presents great line value as the underdog, with the pup going 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings between these teams.
Play on Philadelphia as an 8* Regular Play Selection Sunday.
Good luck, Scott
