Game: Orlando Magic at Miami Heat Feb 19 2012 3:30PM
Grade: Loser (-110)
Reason: Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA Sunday 10* (Top Play) on OVER in Miami vs. Orlando @ 3:30 p.m. ET
The battle of the Sunshine State takes center stage for NBA bettors Sunday afternoon. The Miami Heat welcome the rival Orlando Magic to South Beach, looking to tighten their stranglehold on the Eastern Conference. Orlando knows that if it has a chance of knocking off Miami on its own floor, it needs to score points – and a ton of them. The Magic have the capacity on offense, with sharp-shooting perimeter threats like Ryan Anderson, Hedo Turkoglu, and J.J. Redick. Those three have been behind Orlando’s recent scoring surge. It’s averaging 99.5 points in its last four games, going 3-1 over/under in that span. Center Dwight Howard has also had a hand in those big numbers, dropping 26 points on the Milwaukee Bucks Friday. The Heat bring the NBA’s top-ranked scoring attack to the table Sunday, averaging just under 104 points a night. With weapons like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, opponents must pick their poison when matching up with Miami. That offense has been in high gear in recent games, scoring almost 109 points per night during their five-game winning streak. But it’s not just the Big 3 getting in on the scoring – the Heat’s bench produced 31 points in the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday. Oddsmakers, who have continued to post Miami’s totals around 200 points, are keeping Sunday’s number very conservative at 194 points. That gives NBA total bettors terrific value with the over Sunday afternoon.
Play on OVER in Miami as a 10* Top Play Selection Sunday.
Good luck, Scott
