The Indiana Hoosiers are one of the biggest turnaround stories in college hoops this season. They’ve climbed out of the Big Ten basement and currently ride a three-game winning streaking into a conference collision with the Iowa Hawkeyes Sunday. Winning away from home is at the top of head coach Tom Crean’s list. Indiana is one of the best teams in a home setting but has struggled to produce results on the road, so there is a big emphasis on Sunday’s game. The Hoosiers are trying to keep that momentum going with the Big Ten tournament just around the bend. They recently returned senior guard Verdell Jones III, giving them some great scoring and experience off the bench. That’s a big shot in the arm for a young IU team that is very dangerous with the basketball. The Hoosiers rank 18th in the country in scoring and can blow a game wide open from beyond the arc, shooting 42.7 percent from distance – third in the land. Indiana already handed Iowa a 103-89 beatdown this season, covering as an 11.5-point home favorite. The Hawkeyes have gone 2-2 SU and ATS since that loss, dropping their last two outings. Head coach Fran McCaffery hasn’t made any friends with his displays of frustration this season and told reporters he’s all but out of ideas when it comes to maintaining any consistency with this team. With no shot at the postseason, Iowa could end up going through the motions if IU gets ahead early on Sunday.
Play on Indiana as a 10* Top Play Selection Sunday.
Good luck, Scott
