Reason: Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Sunday 8* (Regular Play) on OVER in Chicago vs. St. Louis @ 12:30 p.m. ET
After an offensive skid that translated into a nine-game losing streak, the Chicago Blackhawks have got their groove back. They’ve netted 10 goals in the past two games, including a 6-1 thrashing of the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday. That win concluded a nine-game road trip for Chicago, which is back on home ice against the St. Louis Blue Sunday, looking to keep that offensive momentum. It’s been the Blackhawks' stars that have pulled the team out of this funk. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp both recorded a goal and two assists in the blowout over the Blue Jackets, and Patrick Kane got in on the action too, picking up just his second goal in the last 10 games. However, while the scoring threat is always there with Chicago’s talented forwards, teams tend to let up on defense in their first game home after an extended road run, giving over bettors some hidden value when the Blackhawks host St. Louis. Chicago is allowing just under three goals per game and struggled to keep the puck out of the net during that nine-game slide. The Blues offense won’t show any mercy, potting nine goals in their last two outings and scoring three or more in six of their last seven contests. The over has been the sharp play when these Central Division foes collide, going 5-2 over/under in their last seven meetings. That includes a 5-2 St. Louis win that trumped the total back on Dec. 3.
Play on OVER in Chicago as an 8* Regular Play Selection Sunday.
Good luck, Scott
