The Atlanta Hawks will look to rebound from a shocking loss Sunday night while the Utah Jazz will look to carry over the momentum from a stunning victory when the two teams meet in Salt Lake City this evening. Utah, who is red hot at the betting window of late, finds itself favored by five-points Monday at BetUS Sportsbook.

Atlanta led Golden State by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter yesterday, but could not hold on for the victory as the Warriors scored 16 straight points at one point to erase the deficit. Making the loss even more painful for the Hawks is the fact that Golden State dressed just eight players. The 108-104 setback was their third in the last four games as the team fell 2.5 games behind Orlando in the Southeast Division. They have also lost eight of their last 12 road games.

Utah, meanwhile, experienced a result on the opposite end of the emotional spectrum Sunday night. They trailed division rival Portland by 25 points in the second half but came all the way back to win and cover the game in overtime, 93-89, as one-point underdogs. Carlos Boozer led the comeback win with 22 points and 23 rebounds.

It was the first time since a 91-89 loss to Memphis on January 8th that the Jazz shot below 40% in a game, but they are still making better than 50% of their field goal attempts over a 19-game stretch that has seen the team win 17 times.

Utah has been equally as impressive at the betting window over the last month, going 16-2-3 ATS in their last 21 games.

Another storyline for Monday’s matchup is how badly Atlanta has historically struggled playing in Utah. They have not won here in 17 seasons, including a 108-89 loss last year. You have to go all the way back to February 13th, 1993, when Dominique Wilkins scored 43 points, to find the last time a Hawks team went into Salt Lake and came away with a victory. Since that 121-112 victory, Atlanta has had little ATS success here as well, covering in just three of their last 12 visits.

The Hawks have won two straight vs. Utah overall, both at home obviously, including a 96-83 victory back in December.

The Jazz have gone Under the total in each of their last five games. They have also gone Under in their last four meetings with the Hawks.

One final note is that Utah hopes to have Mehmet Okur back after the center missed the previous two games due to the birth of his son. However, they could be without Andrei Kirilenko, who left last night’s game with back spasms. Kirilenko had shot better than 60% from the floor since being reinserted into the starting lineup on January 11th.
