Anytime LeBron James plays against the New York Knicks, it's a big deal. Considering the way King James' Cleveland Cavaliers have played of late, it's a big deal any time the team takes to the court. Winners of ten in a row straight up and on a 6-0 ATS run, the Cavs have opened up as big 12.5-point home favorites Saturday night over New York, who enters off a home loss to Milwaukee.

On paper, this looks like a total mismatch. Cleveland has won its last five games all by double-digits and has beaten the Knicks six consecutive times. They have covered the spread in four of the games, including a 100-91 win at Madison Square Garden back in November when they were favored by just 7.5 points. The Cavs did not cover the last time they hosted New York, which was all the way back in last March, a 98-93 win that marked the only time during the six-game win streak that the team failed to score triple digits against the Knicks.

In that November meeting, James scored 19 of his 33 points in the first quarter as the team built a 19-point lead and never looked back. LeBron has averaged 33.5 PPG and 7.5 assists in those six straight wins over the Knicks.

Defensively, these two clubs are night and day. Cleveland ranks first in the NBA in scoring defense (93.7 PPG) while New York ranks ahead of only seven teams, yielding 103.2 PPG. Last night, they gave up 114 in a seven-point home loss to the Bucks. They also turned the ball over ten times in the second half.

Cleveland owns the best home mark in the NBA at 21-3 as well as the best overall record at 40-11. Their current ten-game win streak is the franchise's longest since last March. Over the last two seasons, they are 26-8 ATS coming off back to back covers as a favorite and are 9-1 ATS when coming off three straight covers as a favorite of seven points or more.
