Just in case you haven't been staying up late enough to keep track of NBA Western Conference basketball, allow us to introduce you to the new and improved Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies. Both of these moribund franchises are fielding pretty good teams this year! They will meet Tuesday night in Memphis with the Grizzlies favored by six points. BetUS Sportsbook has the total at 199 points.

The Clippers have covered each of their last six games, including outright wins over the Celtics and Lakers. They are coming off a 94-84 win Sunday afternoon against the Miami Heat, a game in which they were actually favored at the betting window, which shows how far this team has evolved even without #1 overall draft Blake Griffin. It was the team's fourth straight win overall, all of which came at home.

Playing on the road, however, has given the Clippers some trouble. Their only SU loss during the six-game ATS win streak came in Portland where they were fortunate enough to be catching 6.5 points in a 103-99 setback. For the season, the club is just 5-10 SU away from home and they've lost four straight by an average of 15 points per game. This is interesting because the team is actually averaging more PPG on the road (98.7 PPG) than at home (94.4 PPG). The problem is clearly defense as they are allowing 101.7 PPG away from home, which is 6.5 PPG more than their home average. Eleven of their next 14 games are on the road.

Memphis is currently one-half game better than the Clippers, owning an 18-18 season record. They are a solid home team (11-5) and will be looking for their first six-game win streak at the FedEx Forum in four years. Last time here, the Grizzlies were able to end a nine-game losing streak to the Jazz, winning 91-89, but they just failed to cover the 4.5 point spread. On Saturday, it was just the opposite, as they lost by two at the buzzer in Charlotte, but cashed as six-point dogs.

During the five-game home win streak, Memphis is averaging better than 107 PPG on 48% shooting.

This will be the fourth meeting already this season between these teams with Los Angeles taking two of the first three. In a weird scheduling quirk, all three games were played in a three-week span in November with the home team emerging victorious every time. The game in Memphis saw the Grizzlies win by 15 as 5.5-point chalk. The Clippers gained revenge 11 days later with a 98-88 win laying 3.5 points. The season's first meeting was the only game to go Over as LA won 113-110, but did not cover the four-point spot.

Keep an eye on the Clippers' Chris Kaman, who is averaging better than 20 PPG and 10 RPG his last 13 contests. Kaman has already played four more games than he did all of last season.

Totals players should note that Los Angeles is 14-5 Under when the total falls between 190 and 199.5. Get the winner of this game at the Guaranteed Picks Page .
