It should be a good one Thursday night in the Big East as #10 Georgetown hosts #5 Syracuse in a rematch from one of the strangest results the conference has produced all season. The Hoyas have opened as two-point favorites here with a total of 145.

These teams met back on January 25th in the Carrier Dome with Georgetown jumping out to a shocking 14-0 lead out of the gate. The only thing more shocking would be how the rest of the game would play out as the Orange outscored the Hoyas 73-42 the rest of the way en route to a comfortable 17-point victory as 5.5-point chalk.

The home team has now won six straight in this classic Big East rivalry, covering the number in five of those games.

Despite the fact that both schools are considered mortal locks for next month's field of 65, all is not well on each campus. Both teams are coming off outright losses in games that they were favored on Sunday with Syracuse losing at home to Louisville and Georgetown losing a stunner to Rutgers.

The 'Cuse was a seven-point favorite in its loss to the Cardinals in which it shot a season-low 41.2% from the field. Jim Boeheim's team came into the game leading the nation in field goal percentage at 52.2%. Both of Syracuse's losses this year have come at home against unranked opponents. They are the only team in the nation without a road loss.

Georgetown has already handily beaten two Top 10 opponents, Duke and Villanova, at home in the last month, but has also suffered losses to South Florida and then Rutgers over the last four games. Considering they had beaten the Scarlet Knights by 20 in the initial meeting and were favored by 10.5 at the betting window, Sunday's result has to be considered a stunner.

The trends do not favor the Hoyas tonight as the team is 0-7 ATS after playing a game where they were favored on the road.

Totals players should take note that Syracuse has gone Under in all six "true" road games this season.
