#1 Kansas is in action Monday night as they travel to College Station to face a Texas A&M team they have not lost to in six meetings. The Jayhawks are favored by eight points at the majority of our recommended online sportsbooks as they look to increase their lead in the conference standings and win a record sixth consecutive Big XII regular season championship. The over/under betting line opened at 143.5 and was quickly bet down.

Kansas enters Monday holding a three-game lead over A&M as well as Kansas State. They are one of just five teams in the country with a perfect record in conference play and the only one in a major conference (Butler, Morgan State, Murray State and Sam Houston State are the others). Only the 2001-02 squad was able to finish the Big 12 schedule with no losses, a team that finished 29-1 straight up, a benchmark for the program.

The Jayhawks have won ten straight games since suffering their only loss of the season, a 76-68 upset by Tennessee, on January 10th. During the streak, they have gone just 4-5-1 at the betting window and were unable to cover a large 20.5-point spread on Saturday against Iowa State.

Although they beat the Cyclones by a comfortable 73-59 margin, the game was actually much closer than that as KU led by just two points with a little more than four minutes remaining. However, they held ISU scoreless the rest of the way, a necessity considering it was the Jayhawks second straight poor shooting performance. They made only 42.4% of their field goal attempts after shooting just 40% against Texas last Monday. For the season, Kansas is averaging better than 48% shooting.

Texas A&M should prove to be a tough out tonight as the Aggies have won 16 straight home games and are 16-7 ATS the last 23 times they’ve been an underdog. They have notched two outright wins during a current four-game win streak, including a 67-65 victory at Texas Tech on Saturday. A fifth straight win for A&M would be a season high.

The Aggies have traditionally struggled against KU, however, losing 14 of 15 meetings including all six here at home. In the lone matchup last season, the Jayhawks won in blowout fashion, 73-53, holding A&M to a season low in points and shooting (32.7%). No Aggie scored in double-figures in the game.

Texas A&M has never beaten a #1 ranked team in program history, although they did take previously top-ranked Texas to overtime earlier this year. Overall, the Aggies are 3-4 SU vs. ranked opponents this season.
