Home court advantage always counts for something in College Hoops betting and certainly in the case of Syracuse vs. Georgetown. The Orange have beaten the Hoyas four straight and 10 of 11 at the Carrier Dome, so it should come as little surprise that the oddsmakers have opened the home team as six-point favorites.

Hosts have won seven straight overall in this classic Big East rivalry, including a 98-94 overtime decision for the three-point favorite ‘Cuse here last Valentine’s Day. The Orange are 12-1 at home this year and have won five straight games overall, including 76-71 over Marquette on Saturday.

They did not cover the 8.5-point spread though, snapping a streak of five consecutive ATS wins. The game was tied at halftime, but Syracuse did lead by as many as 16 points in the second half. The Orange will enjoy a major edge in depth Monday night as they have five players averaging double-digits in scoring and beat Marquette despite getting no points from second-leading scorer Rautins.

Georgetown is led by big man Greg Monroe, who is averaging better than 21 PPG and 13 rebounds his last three games. He was 10 of 12 from the field, scoring 21 points and adding 11 boards, in an easy 88-63 victory over Rutgers on Saturday. It was their second straight win and cover, and third in four games, against a Big East opponent after previously going just 5-19 ATS in conference play.

One player Syracuse needs to keep an eye on is Chris Wright, who had 27 points in a upset win at Pittsburgh last Wednesday. Wright has averaged 17.0 points on 54.2 percent shooting in his last seven Big East road games vs. Top 25 teams.

The Orange have covered 12 of 16 games overall this season, including a perfect 6-0 ATS following back to back games with 19 or less assists. Unfortunately for their backers, they are also 2-12 ATS when playing at home and off three or more consecutive conference victories.
