Updated Odds to Win the 2014 Super Bowl has Seahawks Favored
December 19, 2013
Seattle and Denver favored to play in the Super Bowl.
The last couple of weeks have turned things around in the NFL playoff picture, but one thing that has stayed the same in the sports betting world is that Seattle and Denver are the favorites to be playing in the 2014 Super Bowl.
Bovada.lv has Seattle with the lowest Super Bowl betting odds of 12:5. That is slightly lower than their odds last week which were 11:4. The Broncos had a couple of rough games but are still the clear choice to represent the AFC with Super Bowl betting odds of 3:1, up slightly from last week’s 11:4 odds.
The next team with the lowest 2014 Super Bowl betting odds is San Francisco with betting odds of 15:2. There odds are virtually unchanged from last week’s 8:1 betting odds. We believe the Niners are still a good bet as they odds.
The New England Patriots odds continue to drop after losing to Miami last Sunday. Prior to their game against Cleveland two weeks back they were at 13:2 to win the Super Bowl. However, after losing Gronkowski in the Browns game, and failing to beat the Dolphins, no one is interesting in taking Brady and Belichick as their odds have escalated up to 12:1.
One team that is drawing action is the Carolina Panthers. After getting drilled by the Saints they rebounded to beat the Jets and have a big rematch at home versus New Orleans this Sunday. Cam Newton and the Panthers are down to 14:1 betting odds which is down from last week’s 18:1 odds.
Speaking of the Saints, after last week’s loss on the road to St. Louis, you can pick them up at lofty 14:1 betting odds. Prior to them losing to the Rams you were getting back only 8:1.
Another team that looked bad last week was the Cincinnati Bengals. Just when you think Cincinnati is putting a run together they fall flat on their face. They were embarrassed on Sunday Night football in Pittsburgh losing to the Steelers 30-20. As a result the Bengals Super Bowl betting odds have risen from 16:1 to 20:1 odds.
How about those Super Bowl Champion Ravens. A few short weeks ago the books couldn’t give away a Super Bowl futures bet on the Ravens. However, the Ravens have run off four straight wins and are now very much alive for a playoff spot. They are tied with the Dolphins for that second and last wildcard spot and are only one game behind the Bengals in the AFC North Division. The Ravens play New England this Sunday and finish off the year with a huge game at Cincy. If you want to take a flyer on the Ravens you can get 33:1 on your money.
