This week’s article is pretty cut and dry, short and sweet. Our sole purpose is to crunch the numbers and tell you what you need to know for some of the big games in Saturday College Football and NFL Week 11.

College

South Carolina at Florida: The Gators have won 16 of the last 17 in this series, with the lone exception coming the first time they faced “their Ole Ball Coach.” South Carolina has never won in Gainesville in 14 tries. USC is also just 3-12 the week before a bye. Last year, Tebow accounted for 424 total yards and had five touchdowns.

Georgia at Auburn: This is the original “Black Out” game. Huge double revenge spot for Auburn (lost 45-20 last year), although the Tigers are so bad, that may not matter. Auburn has lost 4 of 6 overall in this series, including 2 of 3 at home.

Mississippi State at Alabama:: Believe it or not, but Sylvester Croom has beaten his alma mater two straight. Alabama hasn’t scored an offensive touchdown in the last three meetings! That will change this year.

Ohio State at Illinois: Buckeyes have not lost a conference road game since falling at Penn State midway through the 2005 season. However, they did lose to the Illini at home last year as they held the ball for just 1:14 in the 4th quarter.

Texas at Kansas: These teams haven’t played since 2005 when the Longhorns had a 52-0 halftime lead. In their two games against “elite” conference foes, KU has been outscored 108-52 (vs. Texas Tech and Oklahoma).

Boston College at Florida State: The Eagles were unbeaten and ranked #2 in the country last year when they lost at home to Florida State, 27-17. Gone is QB Matt Ryan, but so too are a litany of Seminoles players that have been suspended for an on-campus fight with some fraternity members. Ah yes, good old Florida State.

USC at Stanford: One of several big revenge games on Saturday’s card. Last year, Stanford pulled off the biggest pointspread upset in modern CFB history, beating USC on the road, 24-23, as 41-point dogs. The Trojans have allowed a stunning 23 points in 6 games since losing to Oregon State.

NFL Week 11

Denver at Atlanta: Falcons are a perfect 4-0 SU/ATS at home this season, averaging 32 PPG. Denver has allowed 30.4 PPG in its last eight road games.

Oakland at Miami: This would be the dreaded West Coast team playing in a 1:00 ET start. Oakland hasn’t scored more than 20 points in any game since 9/21!

Baltimore at NY Giants: This is the 3rd game of what will be a 10-game stretch for the Giants against teams with a winning record. No one talks about this; but Baltimore is averaging 33.5 PPG over its last four following last week’s 41-point outburst in Houston.

Houston at Indianapolis: Huge revenge spot for the Texans, who blew a three-score lead in the final minutes at home vs. the Colts back in Week 5. They have never covered in Indy. Last five meetings have gone Over and the home team has covered all those games.

Tennessee at Jacksonville: Titans are on a 13-2 ATS run in division play, but both of those pointspread losses have come against the Jags.

Chicago at Green Bay: HC McCarthy is 1-3 ATS vs. the Bears and 10-1 ATS vs. Minnesota and Detroit. Keep an eye on whether or not Bears QB Kyle Orton plays.

Detroit at Carolina: Double-digit underdogs are 15-1 ATS this season in the NFL.

Dallas at Washington: Cowboys are 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS last ten trips to the nation’s capital.
